Als echter Missionspriester war er unter anderem im afrikanischen Kongo, in Frankreich, in Berlin und im niederländischen Steyl im Einsatz, also an dem Ort, wo sein Orden vor 150 Jahren gegründet wurde. Heute ist Pater Krause Pfarrer in Goch - bei der Kirche, in der sein Ordensgründer Arnold Janssen einst getauft wurde. Er hatte also vielerlei Gelegenheit, die Geschichte der Steyler Missionare zu studieren. Am heutigen Jubiläumstag des Ordens erzählt er uns davon in der Lebenshilfe.
