The longest title of any podcast I have done thus far. Time to call 2020 a wrap and move on to bigger and maybe better things. This show was a way to get some of the old Hero Heads episodes back in the limelight before I take the time to come up with a new idea. What do I do next? Not really sure... But I am willing to try just about anything at this point. As we close another chapter and enter a new season be on the lookout for a promo for whatever is coming up next.

We did things a bit differently on our podcast this week. Usually, we recap the (made-up) television show Chicago Heroes, a crime procedural that veers into absurdity, and into extreme violence and amorality. However, there has been widespread protesting against police brutality and racism the past few week, which are causes that we fully support. In our city of Chicago there has been an extraordinary, sustained push for justice from the people, and an unjust backlash from the police and the city that only further reinforces the need for change. We felt it would be more appropriate this week on our comedy podcast to recap a spinoff show that doesn't feature police, so we came up with a spinoff show called Sulligan's, set at the bar frequented by the protagonists of the main show. We hope you enjoy it. After eight years of talking about movies, television shows, super heroes, and video games, it's time to call it an end. For nearly all of the character's publication history, Captain America has been the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum, in order to aid the United States government's imminent efforts in World War II. The first series, now referred to as "The Original Series", debuted in 1966 and ran for three seasons on NBC. It followed the interstellar adventures of James T. Kirk and the crew of the starship Enterprise, an exploration vessel of a 23rd-century interstellar "United Federation of Planets". In creating the first "Star Trek", Roddenberry was inspired by Westerns such as Wagon Train, along with the Horatio Hornblower novels and Gulliver's Travels. These adventures continued in the short-lived Star Trek: The Animated Series and six feature films. Four spin-off television series were eventually produced: Star Trek: The Next Generation, followed the crew of a new starship Enterprise set a century after the original series; Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, set contemporaneously with The Next Generation; and Star Trek: Enterprise, set before the original series, in the early days of human interstellar travel. Four additional The Next Generation feature films were produced. In 2009, the film franchise underwent a relaunch with a prequel to the original series set in an alternate timeline titled simply Star Trek. This film featured a new cast portraying younger versions of the crew from the original Enterprise. Swamp Thing, a humanoid/plant creature elemental in the DC Comics Universe, created by writer Len Wein and artist Berni Wrightson. Swamp Thing has had several humanoid or monster incarnations, depending on various story lines. He first appeared in House of Secrets #92 (July 1971) in a stand-alone horror story set in the early 20th century. The character then returned in a solo series, set in the contemporary world and in the general DC continuity. Torchwood is a British science fiction television programme created by Russell T Davies. A spin-off from the 2005 revival of long-running science fiction programme Doctor Who, Torchwood aired four series between 2006 and 2011. The Joker is a fictional character, a comic book supervillain appearing in publications by DC Comics. The character was created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane, and first appeared in Batman #1 (Spring 1940). The credit for creating the character is disputed, as both Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design, but acknowledged Finger's writing contribution.
