Fr. Mike reminds us that God uses crooked lines to make a straight story, like Paul's witness to Priscilla and Aquila as they encounter the person of Christ and become missionaries. Just like Apollos accepted correction, Fr. Mike invites us to courageously open ourselves up to learning and growing. Today's readings are Acts 18, 1 Corinthians 16, and Proverbs 28:19-21. Al, Zach, John Luke, and Christian explore the principle of “no kings” and how cultural envy pushed Israel to demand a leader who looked impressive but lacked character and paid for it dearly. On this morning's episode of Slingshot Nation, the team dives straight into supernatural territory after Jack recounts being pulled into a lucid dream realm and physically attacked by a shadowy presence that felt frighteningly real. Tony follows with a disturbing dream of government elites—Trump and J.D. Vance—appearing as hybrid beings inside a dystopian facility. As they compare experiences, the room shifts. They unpack a recent ministry encounter involving Katie Souza and Lindsay where each member of the team was hit with intense spiritual activity, including visions, mirror manifestations, and physical sensations that mirrored the dream attacks. The conversation then pivots into Scripture, where the forgotten stories become even more shocking than the dreams. The team explores Matthew 27's account of saints rising from their graves when Jesus died, Ezekiel 37's Valley of Dry Bones coming back to life, and historical testimonies of beheaded saints carrying their own heads while continuing to preach. In this episode of Slingshot Nation, dream warfare, hybrid deception, and biblical resurrection collide—revealing a much stranger and more supernatural reality than most believers have ever considered. Back in Utah, Sweet Salt—an LDS modest-fashion clothing store—is shutting down, and in Austria, three elderly nuns have staged a bold return to their abbey with the help of an unexpectedly large Instagram following. Christianity Isn't a Nation and The Church Isn't a National Movement   Host Curtis Chang sits down with N.T. Wright to explore the explosive themes of Ephesians, including what the Bible really says about the mission of the church—not as a lifeboat escaping to heaven, but a "small working model of new creation"—a multiethnic, multicultural community that stands against the powers and principalities of our age through truth, unity, and love. Wright discusses the church's mission in a divided world, and the rise of Christian nationalism. They address modern challenges such as misunderstandings of spiritual warfare, the communal nature of the armor of God, why the "belt of truth" matters today, and how Ephesians calls the church to resist counterfeit visions of power.   (06:12) - Has NT Wright changed his mind about the Biblical truths? In this Bible Story, John sees images of past, present, and future evils. Yet each time, the evils are dealt with by the armies of God. And John beholds one final stand against darkness by the true Hero of History - Jesus. This story is inspired by Revelation. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is Revelation 14:1 from the King James Version.Episode 243: After the vision of the glorious throne room, John was given another vision. This time the vision was about the history and future of the earth. John saw a Dragon who battled with the armies of God and tried desperately to consume the child of Israel who was destined to rule the nations. But God rescued the woman and her child and the armies of heaven cast out the dragon banishing him to the earth. Even here the Dragon continued to pursue the woman and make trouble for the children of God. Other beasts were called up as well to deceive the people into following them. But Just as things looked their worst, salvation from God came as Jesus descended from the skies on a white horse.Hear the Bible come to life as Pastor Jack Graham leads you through the official BibleinaYear.com podcast. "1. In Ephesians 4, Paul talks about the church growing up into maturity, with every part of the body doing its work. How can kids (and adults) begin to see themselves as part of the body of Christ, not just the future of the church but the church right now? 2. Paul tells believers to ‘walk in love' (Eph. 5:2) and to ‘walk as children of light' (Eph. 5:8). What does that look like for kids at school, at home, or even on the playground? What about adults at work? 3. Ephesians 6 tells children to obey their parents in the Lord, and parents to bring them up in the instruction of the Lord. How do you explain this to kids in a way that doesn't just feel like another rule, but helps them see God's good design for family? Do adult children still need to obey their parents? When does that stop? Patrick welcomes listeners into a whirlwind of raw, real-life questions, from family wounds laid bare, forgiveness clung to by a thread, to faith decisions that ripple through generations. He fields everything from praying the Rosary during Mass to whether a “paper divorce” for insurance savings crosses the moral line, all while sharing stories of conversion and hope, like the grateful mother calling in with a baby in her arms. In these calls, Patrick moves through uncertainty and grace with a steady, honest voice, constantly challenging assumptions as he weighs Scripture, Church teaching, and the joy of lived experience. Brandon - I had to disclose a family secret and this has caused a hug rift. How can I forgive my family members? Should I reestablish contact or keep them cut off? (00:48) Aaron - I am struggling with the idea of where babies go when they are not born whether aborted or miscarried or still born. What happens to that? Do you have any comforting words? (11:30) Cayden - I was approached by a woman after mass who told me that I wasn't allowed to pray the Rosary during Mass. Is this true? (20:10) Jessica - I want to give you an update on the birth of my baby. You helped me and gave me the advice not to tie my tubes. Thank you. This is the child you helped bring into the world. (23:12) Jim - I am a Protestant. I see that the reading of the Bible, coming from Vatican II by lay people, was a positive thing. Would you agree? (29:30) Gary - Can I receive the Eucharist as a non-Catholic at a Catholic Church? (36:24) Todd - I have heard that people in their 60s are engaging in civil divorce to keep healthcare costs down. Is it ok to get a civil divorce, yet remain married in the eyes of the Church? (45:23)
