For Nick Tedeschi, a great beer evokes memories, and the beer lineup at any of the Post's five Colorado locations is designed to feel familiar, whether you've ordered one there or not. Like the food and the environment, the intention is comfort, with beers designed to tuck into the experience rather than define it. But that doesn't mean they can't stand out on their own, and the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival medals they've won—for dry stout, amber lager, cream ale, and malt liquor—speak to just how impactful these beers can be when made with care and intention. In this episode, Tedeschi discusses: medal-winning malt liquor with robust but refined flavor and low finishing gravity using the Andechs strain for expression and personality brewing single-infusion lagers with character consistently executing on fundamentals tweaking amber lager with locally produced Munich malt unexpected food-and-beer pairings selling beer through the food brewing 3.3 percent ABV beer with body and fullness using newer American hops with Noble-like qualities, such as Adeena And more. This episode is brought to you by: G&D Chillers A quick word for the brewers out there staring down a broken chiller. You know the pain—warm fermentors, stressed yeast, and that sinking feeling when the repair quote lands in your inbox. With refrigerant regulations changing and the cost of obsolete refrigerants skyrocketing, sometimes the fix costs more than the unit is worth. G&D Chillers is there to help, whether you're a small brew pub or large full-scale production brewery. Don't throw good money at bad equipment. Invest in a solution that grows with your brewery—and keeps your tanks cold when it counts. Big thanks to G&D Chillers for supporting this podcast since 2019. Reach out to them at gdhillers.com/podcast to learn how they can support your next six years of growth. Berkeley Yeast Berkeley Yeast just launched Dry Tropics London! Our best-selling liquid yeast strain, now with all the ease-of-use benefits of dry yeast. Dry Tropics London delivers the soft, pillowy mouthfeel and juicy character you'd expect from a top-tier London Ale strain, but with a serious upgrade: a burst of thiols that unleash vibrant, layered notes of grapefruit and passion fruit. A lot of brewers love the clean passion fruit you get from Tropics, but they don't want every IPA to be a tropical-fruit bomb. At the dry yeast price point, you can pitch and ditch without breaking the bank. Or, you can co-pitch with your house strain to adjust the intensity of the notes. And with nationwide free shipping, there's never been a better time to try Dry Tropics. Order now at berkeleyyeast.com and experience the ease and impact of Dry Tropics London Yeast. Hook Questions Have you ever thought about being designed by God to act as a "ruler" in your own life & domain? In this Father's Day message, Pastor Dennis teaches that God designed every person to be a ruler in their own life, created in His image to exercise dominion over the earth while remaining under His ultimate authority. By examining the rules for kings found in Deuteronomy and the servant leadership modeled by Jesus, we're shown that true biblical authority is found in serving and building others up rather than seeking self-indulgence or power. This message will give you a healthy understanding of your role as "ruler" of your own God-given domain.

Our dads teach us all kinds of things, whether they intended to or not. So on this Father's Day weekend, we're sharing stories of all the hilarious, heartfelt and heartbreaking lessons your dad passed down to you, that continue to show up in your life today.Trevor heads to a Winnipeg brewpub for "Beers & Braids," an event where dads get a crash-course on how to style their daughters' hair. Amongst all the mannequin heads and synthetic hair, these dads get real about the lessons from their own dads that stuck with them the most.Jada Yee is a tall, suit-wearing businessman with a wife and four kids. But when he puts on a rainbow wig and sparkly gown, he transforms into drag queen, Chyna B. Deadly. It began as a way to stand up for his kids, but it's turned into something much bigger for him and his community. For decades, Richard Bales would share stories of his late father's beloved motorcycle with his children and grandchildren, until a chance connection finally brought the bike back home…to his dining room. As a kid, Tara Weir and her dad Brad bonded over long bike rides. When she moved away from home as an adult, those moments together were harder to come by. But Tara and Brad recently reunited to take on their biggest ride yet, to a place north of the Arctic Circle, that means a lot to them. And how do you follow in your father's footsteps when your dad is the Chief? For Hayden Mercredi, lessons from his dad meant leaving school to attend high-level political meetings when he was just a kid. Trevor Mercredi, Grand Chief of Treaty 8, and his son Hayden share the lessons they're learning, and why Trevor first had mixed feelings about Hayden's political ambitions.

This week on The Dirty Glass Podcast, Nick and Denny the Mixologist put tradition to the test as they crack open a lineup of beers brewed under the famous German Purity Law, the Reinheitsgebot. Joined by special guest Jeff, the crew dives into some classic brews made with only water, barley, hops, and yeast.Do simple ingredients create beer perfection, or does modern brewing leave these old-school recipes in the dust? Jeff brings his own opinions to the table as the laughs flow almost as freely as the beer. From crisp lagers to rich traditional flavors, the guys break down what makes these German-style beers stand out and whether centuries-old brewing rules still hold up today.Grab a cold one and join us as we raise a glass to German brewing tradition, questionable tasting notes, and the usual Dirty Glass chaos!#TheDirtyGlassPodcast #GermanBeer #Reinheitsgebot #GermanPurityLaw #BeerReview #BeerBattle #CraftBeer #BeerTasting #BeerPodcast #LagerLife #GermanLager #JeffGuestAppearance #DennyTheMixologist #HandsomeNickHanlon #DrinkResponsibly #BeerLovers #Cheers

Send us Fan MailAre you ready for the World Cup?As beer nerds this would have been a great opportunity to capitalized on the World Cup hype. Maybe try to find a beer from every country playing? That sounds like a lot of work. Best we can do is some stats. The "experts" say World Cup Fans will drink about a Billion pints of beer over the 31 days of the World Cup. I can believe that. But, a stat they compared it to was 2.6 Billion beers are consumed during the Super Bowl. You sure about that? We dug in a bit and it seems I'm not the only one that's skeptical. 2.6 Billion beers is a LOT of beer, and in one day, on a Sunday? Some say the number is closer to 500-600k, OK, maybe. Frank and Tim crack open some drinks and attempt the noble, impossible task of ranking sci-fi franchises without accidentally starting six different side conversations. Star Wars and Star Trek go straight into S-tier, Dune gets surprisingly close to sacred-text status, and Tim is reminded that he watched Tron: Legacy for the podcast nine years ago and fully forgot. For San Diego's AleSmith, funky Belgian-style mixed-culture beers aged on whole fruit may not be impactful to the bottom line. As brewers, however, they love the process challenge of these multi-phase beers as well as the unique flavors made possible by complex fermentations and highest-quality fruit. Late last year, our blind panel at Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine® rated their Handgeplukt Kriek a 98, and our editors we selected it as one of our Best 20 Beers in 2025. Then, at the 2026 World Beer Cup, the beer further cemented its elite status by taking home a gold medal. In this episode, AleSmith head brewer Anthony Chen walks us through the brewing and maturation process, from ideation and ingredients to step-mash, barrel-aging, maceration, and more. Along the way, he discusses: why commercial pitches work better for them then culturing dregs for mixed-culture beer how malted and flaked wheat produce more “chunkies” using a pre-acidification process to protect the beer in the early stage of fermentation avoiding Pediococcus in mixed fermentation cherry processing and maceration And more.
