Is there any better for a race than Phillip Island? Well, given all the news at the weekend Steve and Gordo report from on the ground with the thoughts of the locals, the staff and the paddock on the bombshell news that MotoGP will move to Adelaide. Will WorldSBK follow? It certainly seems that way. On track, Nicolo Bulega was imperious as he starts his quest for global domination. The Aruba.it Ducati star man is a little more likeable than a bond villain and a hell of a rider. We break down his weekend which featured an incredible, almost unnecessarily, dominant performance in the wet conditions of Sunday. There are plenty of stories to follow this weekend. The first double podium for bimota since 1988 has confirmed the resurgence of Axel Bassani. His Sunday double will have given him a huge boast in confidence that this season he can be a closer challenger to his teammate, Alex Lowes. Lowes was one of the fallers in the wet conditions in Race 2 and we look at what caused many of the falls. The rise and fall of Independent Ducati's is set to be a big story this year. Steve said in our preview show that "on your good days you've got to take advantage of the package." Lorenzo Baldassarri certainly did that. The Italian, who refuses to acknowledge his season aboard a GMT94 Yamaha as a Superbike campaign, impressed the paddock this week. In testing he was quick but to withstand the pressure from Bassani in the closing stages of Race 1 was rewarded with his first career podium finish. Yari Montella had his first career front row and podium too. At BMW are the reigning World Champions in a tailspin? It depends on who you ask. That being said the two-day Portimao Test on March 9-10 will be critical for them. It was a weekend of highs and lows Miguel Oliveira. The rookie had everything thrown at him over the weekend. A superpole crash that relegated him to the back of the field was followed by two superb recovery rides in both conditions to leave him one point ahead of his teammate, Danilo Petrucci, in the standings. The performance gap between them seemed much higher this week. Yamaha's Xavi Vierge was the fastest man in blue this week but came away with zero points after a big crash in Race 1. Andrea Locatelli looked lost for most of the opening round but in wet conditions he found some confidence and came away fifth position. Thanks to Renthal Street for supporting the podcast.

¡Suscríbete a nuestro canal! https://www.youtube.com/@moto1protv?sub_confirmation=1

Everybody has questions. Wait, let me rephrase that: everyone of you has questions for us. And you know? We were kind of asking for it – literally, since we asked our sweet Patrons to donate not just their money, but their MotoGP-inquiries as well. And let me tell you, our Patrons can be very generous! So here we are, four pages of questions ranging from the mundane to the bizarre and everything inbetween. Do we have enough time to get through all of them? Not this week, we don't. But trust us when I say we've got some juicy bits here! So maybe you're curious about what parts of a MotoGP-bike will never make it onto the street. Perhaps your wondering how difficult it is to make the jump from Superbike to MotoGP. Or maybe you just want to know what the most debauched thing Mat and Peter ever saw was. In any case, we invite you to crack open your drink of choice and join us for the start of Wet January.Cheers!Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. As the final round of the WorldSBK dawned it seemed like a foregone conclusion. There was little doubt that Toprak Razgatlioglu would be crowned for a third time as champion. Nicolo Bulega had proven to be an admirable rival but ultimately Toprak would have too much for his rival...that was the plan at least! The reality was quite different and ultimately Sunday's Superbike action was the flashpoint of the season. Steve English and Gordon Ritchie guide you through the hows and whys of Spanish Round of WorldSBK
This week on Chasin' the Racin', Joe Akroyd and Josh Corner are joined in the studio with FS3 Superbike racer, Max Cook, and later joined by his boss, Darren Fry. The lads chat through how Max progressed through his early career, coming to land a superbike seat from Stock 600 and reflect on his time in Superbike so far. Darren then joins to tell us more about the dynamics within the team and how he feels the lads are getting on. He also fills us in on the team's switch from Kawasaki to Bimota for 2026: how it came about, details on the bike and his feelings towards the switch. Oh, and of course some age jokes directed towards Christian sprinkled in throughout for good measure. In this episode of Ride Boundless, I sit down with Jozsef James “JJ”, Head of Sales for North America at Verge Motorcycles, the innovative Finnish company redefining the electric superbike. Recorded at The Bike Shed Los Angeles, we dive deep into Verge's revolutionary engineering — from its futuristic hubless “donut” rear wheel to its 240mm tire, over 200 miles of range, and the smooth, gliding ride that feels more like floating than riding. JJ shares his personal journey from Lucid Motors to leading Verge's U.S. expansion, bringing his EV expertise and passion for innovation to the forefront of two-wheel evolution. I also take the Verge for a test ride through LA's streets — and it's unlike anything I've ever ridden. The acceleration, suspension, and precision balance make this bike feel alive. Tune in for a conversation about design, technology, and the future of electric performance — filmed in the heart of LA's motorcycle culture at The Bike Shed.
Marshall Ferguson (@TSN_Marsh) and Colin Fraser sit down LONG overdue to catch up about the 2025 Bridgestone CSBK season and much more as Torin Collins and Ben Young win their respective Supersport and Superbike titles plus much more.

Ah yes, the team has gone back to COTA, arguably one of the toughest track for us on the schedule due to the sheer high speed nature of the place. In spite of that level of adversity going into the weekend, the team powered through and left the MotoAmerica weekend at Circuit of the Americas with and 8 point lead in the championship for rider Bobby Fong. Tonight Richard Stanboli and I discuss ALL things COTA, and likely a bit about World Superbike!!Hope you enjoyGet signed up for your next TrackDaz event:http://trackdaz.trackrabbit.com**Want a deal on some boxo tools? Wow, the Ridge was quite the adventure for sure. The Attack Yamaha team had some ups and downs for sure. Ups were Jake Gagne leading every session and ending up on the podium both days, and While Q'ing 8th, Bobby Fong was fastest rider on track from half race distance in Race 1 to finish a strong 4th. The downs were Not getting the W, and Bobby's struggles in both Q and in Race 2. Richard Stanboli, aka the Superbike Genius and I will be talking all about that tonight, along with maybe showing a bit of data. Pipe Dreams Podcast is back for Episode 30 with Blake Davis, widely considered one of the hottest young talents in American road racing today. At just 17, he's already a two-time MotoAmerica national champion, and he's doing it the more traditional way—earning factory support and building a path toward the world stage with Factory Yamaha behind him.Blake opens up about growing up in Lynchburg, Virginia, starting on two wheels at just 3 years old, and how the people around him helped shape a racer ready to succeed in a class full of champions. He shares why he shifted to home schooling to better focus on his racing career, while still making time for the normal teenage moments—proms, Friday nights with friends, and staying grounded outside the paddock. We talk about his breakout Twins Cup championship in 2022, defending the title in 2023, and what it means to be carrying the weight of America's hopes on the international stage. Blake also reflects on wishing he had taken things more seriously earlier on, recognizing that many of his European rivals have been training like GP professionals since childhood.Looking ahead to 2025, Blake discusses joining Strack Racing alongside Mathew Scholtz, a former Superbike rider and the defending Supersport champion. With a learning curve ahead, he's hungry to prove himself once again—this time in a new class, with championship ambitions still burning strong.Follow @pipedreams_pod on social media!____________________________________________________________________________________Please support our partners: Law Tigers Motorcycle Attorney's: If you ever find yourself in an incident that may or may not require legal representation please call 1-800-Law-Tigers.- No recovery, no fee for personal injury claims, and no expenses unless there is a recovery.- Fees calculated as a percentage of the gross recovery.- FREE representation for motorcycle property damage claims- FREE advice on all motorcycle matters For more info visit https://lawtigers.com/____________________________________________________________________________________Yuasa Battery: Setting the standard for powersports batteries since 1979. We've made it through another round of MotoAmerica. Coming up through the ranks with Earl's Racing Team, Jake was on a serious program early, laying the foundation for what would become a standout pro career. We talk about that disciplined upbringing, the sacrifices it took, and how that path led to him achieving his dream: signing with Factory Yoshimura Suzuki for a Superbike ride at just 19 years old. From dominating in WERA, USGPRU, and AMA Pro Racing, to bouncing back from injuries and taking a year off to claiming a MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 title, Jake's story is one of grit and adaptation. He shares what it was like achieving his dream so young and now, finding his love for the sport again in the MotoAmerica SuperSport, Hooligan and Bagger class.Jake gets real about career highs and lows, what drives him to keep racing, and how he's stayed grounded through it all.Follow @pipedreams_pod on social media!____________________________________________________________________________________Please support our partners: Law Tigers Motorcycle Attorney's: If you ever find yourself in an incident that may or may not require legal representation please call 1-800-Law-Tigers.- No recovery, no fee for personal injury claims, and no expenses unless there is a recovery.- Fees calculated as a percentage of the gross recovery.- FREE representation for motorcycle property damage claims- FREE advice on all motorcycle matters For more info visit https://lawtigers.com/____________________________________________________________________________________Yuasa Battery: Setting the standard for powersports batteries since 1979.
