Seeing that his life was in danger they interrupted the prayers of the Besht and he revived him. About this said the Riziner, The Baal Shem, was very holy but he wasn't G-d, and my Zaide the Magid wasn't exactly a simple wagon driver! BUT!, when he touch his GARMENT look what happened. It's a wonder to me, how can we daily through our eating,   working,   living, so to speak TOUCH the Garments of the KING OF KINGS and not have the proper reverence to honor the sparks of Godliness in creation   And that's our topic for today…

But after composing “Zaide,” an unfinished opera depicting a slave revolt, Mozart was commissioned to create a work more palatable to the politics and pocketbooks of the late 18th century European upper class.  First heard in Vienna in 1782, “ Abduction” catered to the harsh reality of the times. As is too often the case with operas written during this time, characters of African descent are reduced to racist stereotypes, thereby oiling the wheels of Europe's economic engine — slavery. With this in mind, we ask: what does the future look like for opera as an art form? In this final episode of the four-part radio series, the Every Voice production team goes out to Harlem to find out how today's youth relate to classical music. Years later she made the transition to a full vegan, plant-based lifestyle. Roni has been cooking in kitchens around the world since 2004. She worked at The Coup in Calgary for seven years, before opening her business -- Roni's Kitchen -- in 2014. I've been plotting an episode on the subject of Dreams for a while. Given the profusion of music that references that altered state of consciousness, my challenge was narrowing down the topic. I chose to focus today on theater music (opera, operetta, and musicals) that references actual rather than figurative dreams. Even within these parameters, there was a plethora of material and as usual my repertoire choices are strangely and uniquely my own. So on this episode you'll hear everything from a 1965 recording of Tevye's Dream from Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, from the first Israeli production of the musical; Renata Scotto in late career essaying the haunted dreamscapes of Arnold Schoenberg's monodrama Erwartung; Mattiwilda Dobbs in a rare 1952 recording of “Ruhe sanft, mein holdes Leben” from Mozart's Zaide; excerpts from unusual French and German operettas featuring Robert Massard and Charles Kullman, respectively; birthday tributes to Birgit Nilsson and Richard Tauber; and the great Welsh bass Geraint Evans in a live performance of Bottom's Dream from Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Si en 'Los dueños del viento' –su anterior propuesta–, Irurzun nos sorprendía relacionando la caza de brujas en Zugarramurdi con los piratas vascos del siglo XVII, en esta ocasión entrelaza historias de esclavos africanos en Navarra; las vidas de aquellos que "nunca existieron; o, mejor dicho, fueron obligados a vivir como si no tuvieran derecho a hacerlo". 'Diez mil heridas' es, por tanto, una nueva incursión en la novela histórica, pero con el toque de humor gamberro que le faltó en la primera y que es parte de su impronta. SINOPSIS: Diez mil heridas discurre a través de las peripecias de una saga familiar, que se inicia con la historia del esclavo africano Pedro Guinea, catador de venenos, mensajero real y mozo de fieras en la corte navarra de Olite; y lugarteniente del bandido Sanchicorrota, un tan real como desconocido Robin Hood navarro, que robaba a los ricos para dárselo a los pobres en el desierto de Las Bardenas. Oddajo bomo začeli z opero »koda L« Milka Lazarja, ki so jo uprizorili kot tretjo premiero v ljubljanski operi v letošnji sezoni. Obiskali smo tudi koncerta za zlati in srebrni abonma – na prvem je nastopil ansambel Camerata Salzburg, na drugem pa flavtistka Irena Kavčič in Godalni kvartet Zaide. Bili smo tudi na četrtkovem, šestem, koncertu iz abonmaja Kromatika Simfoničnega orkestra RTV Slovenija in na sedmem koncertu za vokalni abonma SF. Ogledali smo si Donizettijev »Ljubezenski napoj« v Trstu, obiskali koprski 1. Mednarodni mladinski zborovski festival – Aegis Carminis, ob koncu oddaje pa napovedujemo SpevSLAM – tekmovanje skladateljev in izvajalcev za najboljši slovenski samospev.

Bereits im letzten Jahr tourte das vom Verein "Zuflucht Kultur" organisierte Musiktheaterprojekt "Zaide. Eine Flucht" durch Deutschland. Mittlerweile hat die Realität allerdings das Stück eingeholt.
