00h 00’00” Take the a train – Duke Ellington 00h 02’47” PRESENTACIÓN 00h 04’17” CABECERA 00h 05’27” INICIO 00h 06’14” Overture 00h 11’07” Stranded again 00h 13’03” Saddle up the horse – On the 20th Century 00h 17’52” Where is the highest priest of the theatre? 00h 19’58” I rise again 00h 24’18” An angel of deliverance 00h 25’38” Oscar Jaffe/Lily Garland 00h 27’00” Indian maiden’s lament 00h 29’38” What’s your name child? 00h 30’56” Veronique 00h 37’51” I have written a play (Conductor) 00h 39’03” Together 00h 42’20” Never 00h 45’48” Oscar Jaffe he meant nothing to me 00h 46’20” Our private world 00h 50’45” Repent 00h 56’24” Mine 01h 02’55” I’ve got it all 01h 08’07” Entr’acte 01h 09’05” Life is like a train 01h 14’16” I have written a play (Congressman) 01h 15’44” Five zeros 01h 20’44” I have written a play (Doctor) 01h 21’27” An anthology of womankind 01h 24’12” Sign, Lily, Sign 01h 31’01” She’s a nut 01h 36’38” Max Jacobs 01h 37’35” My play by Somerset Maugham 01h 38’24” Babette 01h 44’53” Because of her 01h 50’06” Lily / Oscar 01h 53’46” I had to do it to save you 01h 54’56” Finale 01h 56’46” CONCLUSIONES Y ANÉCDOTAS 01h 59’50” The legacy 02h 05’41” Lily / Oscar – Judy Kaye & Rock Hudson 02h 08’04” AGRADECIMIENTOS Y DESPEDIDA 02h 08’42” Runaway train

First up, take a listen to our exclusive interview with the wonderful Christopher Showerman talking about his new film, DOUBLE BLIND. A noirish thriller written and directed by Thomas D. A cat and mouse game of survival that touches on big pharma and science, family, and survival, Chris dives deep into the "making of" as not only does he head up this small ensemble, he is a boots-on-the-ground producer; plus, he's a helluva lot of fun. From acting to producing to developing the onscreen relationships to storytelling and what the future may hold for him, we cover it all, including one of the funniest anecdotes you will ever hear about a film involving LAPD, Hansen Dam, and Chris in handcuffs. Then, writer/director HARRY GREENBERGER is live talking about his new film HERE AFTER. Singles purgatory? Ghostly dating? Finding a soulmate in order to make it into heaven? Sweet, charming, and poignant, Andy Karl and Nora Arnezeder are perfection as star-crossed and plane-crossed lovers. The devil is in the visual details with so much of HERE AFTER, and Harry covers it all; from the impetus for this story to casting to working with DP Christopher Walters to Sara Corrigan's editing to some beautifully subtle and nuanced visual effects, and more. http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com

Get ready to get "in the ring" as hosts Bobby and Kristina discuss 2014's Rocky The Musical on episode ten of My Favorite Flop.   ABOUT ROCKY THE MUSICAL Based on the Academy Award-winning 1976 film, Rocky The Musical tells the story of Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from working-class Philadelphia, who is chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed, when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. The musical features a book by Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. Sylvester Stallone began thinking about adapting Rocky as a musical in the early 2000s and commissioned the help of established Broadway librettist Thomas Meehan early onto help flesh out his ideas. Shortly after, songwriting team Ahrens and Flaherty joined the project. It was after Andy Karl entered the picture, playing the title role in workshops around 2011, that things really began taking off. European producing company Stage Entertainment picked up the show and decided to mount the musical's pre-Broadway engagement in Hamburg, Germany instead of a traditional US city. The lavish German production was a smash hit, praised for its elaborate and technically complex set that resulted in an actual boxing ring being brought out over part of the orchestra in an attempt to put the audience right in the middle of the action for the big fight. While American audiences didn't quite know what to expect, anticipation for the Broadway transfer was high. The anticipation didn't last, however, as Broadway previous were both cancelled and stalls due to technical issues and negative word of mouth. Reviews were also negative and because the show was never able to find a strong enough audience, it closed after just 180 performances. Rumors of an arena tour or Las Vegas sit-down production never materialized and the first post-Broadway engagement of the show in South Korea was cancelled the day before the first preview. Rocky The Musical came to Prague for a short 4-to-5 month run in 2017.   Original Broadway Cast Andy Karl as Rocky Balboa Margo Seibert as Adrian Terence Archie as Apollo Creed Danny Mastrogiorgio as Paulie Dakin Matthews as Mickey Jennifer Mudge as Gloria Adrian Aguilar as A Boxer/A Reporter Eric Anderson as Gazzo/Rocky's Cornerman/Rocky's Cornerman Michelle Aravena as Angie/Ensemble James Brown III as Sugar Jackson/A Boxer/A Referee Sam J. Andy Karl steps into the Batter's Box for Episode 48 of Break a Bat! Karl is an Olivier Award Winner and 3-time Tony Award nominee with more than a dozen Broadway credits to his name. One of those credits includes a performance that's beloved by our sports fans in Rocky the Musical, in which he portrayed the iconic Rocky Balboa. With other Broadway credits that include Legally Blonde, Jersey Boys, Pretty Woman, and Groundhog Day, Karl has some great behind the scenes stories about 'championing through' those roles as told to host Al Malafronte in this episode. With an athletic background of his own, Karl also discusses working in percentages to make it through sometimes grueling Broadway schedules, as he says gearing yourself up for a show is in so many ways like gearing yourself up for a game. This mindset is not unlike what made Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. so successful for Karl's hometown Baltimore Orioles, and led to a fascinating conversation about what it would take a Broadway performer to achieve the equivalent of Ripken's record-setting streak of 2,632 consecutive performances on the field. This week I’m chatting with two of Broadway’s most powerful voices, Orfeh and Andy Karl. Tony and Grammy Award nominee Orfeh most recently starred as Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman the Musical on Broadway with her husband, Andy Karl, an Olivier Award winner and three-time Tony nominee, starring as Edward. The power couple share how they are continuing to create during the Covid pandemic, how they are helping to raise funds for local charities and the lasting impact of Broadway.  Plus, the duo gives a special performance of Pretty Woman’s “Rodeo Drive.” She has a “powerhouse voice” (New York Times). He is “a theater world heartthrob” (New York Times). And together Orfeh and Andy Karl have had an impressively long run as one of Broadway’s best couples. Although they met while doing the Broadway production of Saturday Night Fever and were married in 2001, their irrepressible chemistry became the stuff of legend when they co-starred in Legally Blonde in 2007, which garnered Orfeh a Tony nomination. Karl earned his own Tony nods for Rocky, On the Twentieth Century and Groundhog Day (for which he received an Olivier Award). Fresh off their run in Pretty Woman as Kit De Luca and Edward Lewis, the power couple celebrates the release of their album with their hit show, Legally Bound.   Orfeh: official website Instagram and Twitter  Andy Karl: official website Instagram and Apple Music       Charities: Broadway Cares Humane Society of New York No Kid Hungry St. Jude’s   For more information, please visit www.TamsenFadal.com or Broadway Profiles

Yo, Adrian! I’m on Broadway! It might not be the last movie you ever expected to see turned into a Broadway musical, but it’s probably not one of the first either. Nevertheless, here it is: “Rocky,” the Oscar-winning 1976 movie written by and starring Sylvester Stallone, has now been set to song and dance. The show, with a score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Stallone and Thomas Meehan, has been directed by Alex Timbers and stars Andy Karl in the title role. Charles Isherwood had a ringside seat at a recent performance, and tells us if a tune-filled Rocky wins by a knockout or should be sent to the showers.
