Lululemon built its brand on goal-setting, positivity, and high-performance culture. But in 2011, inside a store in Bethesda, Maryland, those neatly folded leggings became the backdrop for something far darker—a brutal, high-profile murder. In the first episode of this four-part series, Vanessa and Natalie take you inside the crime scene and share audio from police files. In this episode I interview the amazing Diana Kelly and Dan Morris about the lost creation story of Sophia and her critical role in understanding the times we are living in which also offers rare insights into who we are, where we came from and how we might fulfill our latent potential as human beings. We discuss current events happening in the Middle East, and Diana and Dan's discoveries that have led them to understand the influences surrounding us today through the wisdom of Sophia. We also discuss the origins of the Gnostics, their love of Sophia, the tragic story of her entrapment, the Archons (Dark Forces) that influence humanity, and how we can liberate ourselves from the forces that bind us in limiting beliefs and patterns of fear and trauma through the divine spark of Sophia that dwells within us. In addition to exploring her mysteries, we reveal Sophia's relationship to Jesus Christ at a deeper level and discuss the symbols and maps of meaning that are all around us, that can help us to find our way through the darkness. As the role of the divine feminine in the world accelerates, so too does the urgency of our collective spiritual development, and our relationship to our masculine and feminine counterparts. As the path of Sophia Christos unfolds, we witness a time of great upheaval, spiritual activism, and a lifting of the veils of illusion. Join us to explore the incredible potency of these times through the mystery of Sophia and her cosmic twin, and learn how you can “take up your sword” with compassion as daughters and son's of the Sophia-Christos to defeat injustice, tyranny, and enslavement on this planet once and for all. Takeaways * Sophia represents the divine feminine wisdom and is a powerful archetype for understanding our spiritual journey. *The story of Sophia's descent and the influence of archons and the patriarchy highlight the challenges we face in reclaiming our power and connection to the divine. *The awakening and revelation that comes from understanding the sacred masculine and feminine can help us navigate the complexities of relationships and create a more balanced and harmonious world. * Communication and emotional attunement are essential for building healthy and fulfilling partnerships. In March 2011, a horrific crime occurred at the Lululemon store in Bethesda, Maryland. Two men attacked the two closing female employees, killing one and leaving the other one broken from a physical, sexual, and psychological assault. The crime scene was draped in blood and carnage. The survivor was able to recount some details, but was too shaken to be a significant source of information. Shockingly, the next door Apple Store employees heard the attacks and did nothing to help. Over eight days, detectives worked tirelessly before finally breaking the case open. And the murderers were the last people police suspected.SHOW NOTEShttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lululemon_murderMurder in the Yoga Store, Peter Ross Range, self-publishedThe Yoga Store Murder, Dan Morse, The Berkley Publishing Group (2013)History Nerds UnitedLet's make history fun again! An Ask Me Anything was the perfect topic as I hit 100 AB Live shows. I was joined by Dr. Joanna Kujawa, author of The Other Goddess, and Dan Morse, author of The Divine Spark Within. We exchanged Gnostic ideas while answering some thought-provoking questions. Topics included the origins of Gnosticism, the Cathars, sex magic, Egyptian mysticism, Mary Magdalene, and how to gain that self-knowledge, that Gnosis, to break out of the simulation and into your authentic self.Join the Virtual Alexandria Academy: https://thegodabovegod.com/virtual-alexandria-academy/ As a holiday/rollout promo, Get 20% off with code aeonbyteInfo on Joanna: https://www.joannakujawa.com/ Info on Joanna's course: https://courses.sacredstories.com/courses/goddesses-of-eros?ref=e73a01 Info on Dan: https://www.sophiaproject.net/Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/aeon-byte-gnostic-radio/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Let's take a journey with Sophia, including the rich mythology of her fall and redemption, to find revelations for both inner and global wholeness. This mission revisits and innovates many of Gnosticism's foundations, such as the Gnostic Jesus, Simon Magus, the Bridal Chamber, and the wrath of Yaldabaoth. We'll also cover several historical Gnostic expressions, from the Pistis Sophia to Knights Templar lore, all to pave the way to finding your Divine Spark.Astral Guest – Dan Morse, author of The Divine Spark Within: Excavating the Mysteries of Sophia and the Deep Christ. This is a partial show. The year is 1995 and wrestling is about 7 months from entering its second boom period, but these are dark times. High school gyms, low attendance, and fans tired of the same old same old. So in a true "throw something and see what sticks" move, WWE booked a match between two heated rivals, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Henry O. Godwinn, in a feud settling match: A Hog Pen Match. The objective? Toss your opponent into the hog pen. Anything goes, no pinfalls, no submissions, only risking some viral disease. Alex is back after a few weeks off to enjoy the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. With those wrapping up, it is time to look forward to the offseason. One of the biggest events will no doubt be the Seattle Kraken expansion draft. Because this will be such a big event, Alex has Dan Morse on to join him and break it all down. The two look at all kinds of things such as how can Seattle build this team effectively? As well, what are the expectations like for year one in Seattle? Alex wants to see the focus be on cap space and draft picks, using them effectively to set up a nice future. However, there also needs to be a balance between that and entertaining fans. Losing a bunch of games 2-1 seems like a bad strategy for a new team. They also take a look at what player the Ottawa Senators may lose. Tune in for all of this and more, with the Last Word on Sens Podcast!
Dan worked as a freelance sign language interpreter for nearly two decades. He has always had an affinity for visual learning and languages in particular. And in high school, he remembers observing that sign language itself was a visual language.Once in college, he finally took a sign language class and discovered how incredible it is to express something in three dimensions. He soon began his freelancing business and quickly turned that into a full-time thing! In 2008, he bought his first Apple computer and began building small Python scripts to automate some of his freelancing processes. That sort of tinkering piqued his interest and he began to start playing with other learning platforms as he and his kids began learning coding concepts together. Eventually, he enrolled in the Lambda School on the iOS track and has since joined Nordstrom as a mobile application engineer!Today we tackle what it’s like to join tech as someone older than the industry average and Dan gives the advice to just own it and to not let it define you. Dan speaks to the power of community and the importance of giving back to the communities you care about - as you never know how they might impact your future and your life. This episode is packed with great advice for those curious to break into tech. On this episode of Soft Power Radio, we have a fun conversation with Daniel Ryan Morse about his recently published book, Radio Empire: the BBC's Eastern Service and the Emergence of the Global Anglophone Novel. Dan - UNR professor, guitar shredder, and home-recordist maverick - has written an engaging and in-depth study of a kind of mystical moment in the 20th century when a diverse group of anti-establishment, avant-garde writers was brought together as a pro-imperial propaganda project of the BBC. Tune in to hear how authors like James Joyce, Mulk Raj Anand, and Venu Chitale (and others) harnessed the power and possibilities of radio to advance both creative and political missions. Ok if you would have told us a week ago that someone was murdered in a Lululemon store in 2011, we would have called BS! How did this case low key not get bigger media attention?! (In our opinion) because how does something SO vicious take place in such a A. beautiful upscale town like Bethesda, MD, and B. in the confines of a Lululemon store?! HOW! This blew our minds and is an unfortunate example of just how sinister human beings can be and stab you in the back...quite literally. Main source for this episode came from the book by Dan Morse, The Yoga Store Murder: The Shocking True Account of the Lululemon AthleticaMake sure to follow us over on Instagram! @CrimePoppers
Kristin tells Mogab about the murder of Jayna Murray, a 30 year old supervisor at the Lululemon store In Bethesda, Maryland. She and her coworker, Brittany Norwood, were brutally attacked In the store after closing by two masked assailants, and though Brittany managed to survive the horrific ordeal, Jayna tragically lost her life. The case would prove tricky to solve, and would take the police on twists and turns as they attempted to put together the evidence from the crime scene.Sources: “The Yoga Store Murder: The Shocking True Account of the Lululemon Athletica Killing” by Dan MorseBrittany Norwood found guilty of first degree murder in Lululemon trial by Dan Morse and Michael S. Mary Scott Castle was hot, rich, and well connected. But when she met a 21-year-old Porter Charlton, she was down on her luck. She’d just gotten divorced, and she’d blown her reputation to bits by shooting a man in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria. But when Mary and Porter locked eyes, it was love at first sight. They got married a month later, and took off for a romantic European honeymoon. There was just one problem. Porter wasn’t so stable himself. Then Brandi tells us about a horrific attack in a Lululemon store. It was March of 2011. Coworkers Brittany Norwood and Jayna Murray had just left the Lululemon Athletica store in Bethesda, Maryland, when Brittany realized that she’d left her wallet in the store. When she called Jayna to tell her what she’d done, Jayna was accommodating. She told Brittany she’d meet her back at the store. The pain re-entered the store, leaving the door unlocked behind them. And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia. (No shade, Wikipedia. We love you.) We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the real experts who covered these cases. In this episode, Kristin pulled from: “Lady in the lake” by Mara Bovsun The Daily News. “The Murder of the Beautiful and Accomplished Mrs. Edith Woodhill, 1909,” written by Thomas Duke in 1910, posted to historicalcrimedetective.com “Charlton Must go to Italy for Trial,” The Evening Times-Republican, June 10, 1913 “May Ask Wilson to Save Slayer,” The Washington Herald , June 11, 1913 “True Detective Tales: What is Justice? Murder at Romantic Como,” by Peter Levins for the Pittsburg Sun-Telegraph, April 24, 1940 “‘On Trial’ -- Omaha Boy in Spotlight,” The Omaha Sunday Bee, October 17, 1915 In this episode, Brandi pulled from: “Brittany Norwood” episode Snapped “‘The Yoga Store Murder: The Shocking True Account of the Lululemon Athletica Killing’ by Dan Morse” by Daniel Stashower, The Washington Post “Lululemon victim was alive through most of beating” by Andrea Noble, The Washington Times “Brittany Norwood sentenced to life without parole” by Richard Reeve, WLJA 7 News “Maryland Lululemon Store Gives ‘Love’ Memorial to Family of Woman Killed There” NBC4 Washington “Lululemon Murder” wikipedia.org
