Steve Cooper talks with comedian/actor Tommy Chong. Tommy is best known for his invaluable contribution to American counter-culture as part of the iconic comedy duo Cheech & Chong. During their reign, the twosome recorded six gold comedy albums, including the 1973 Grammy winner Los Cochinos, and starred in eight films, most of which Chong co-wrote and directed. The first, Up In Smoke, was the highest grossing comedy of 1978, topping $100 million at the box office. Others were Cheech and Chong's Next Movie (1980), Nice Dreams (1981), Things Are Tough All Over (1982), Cheech and Chong: Still Smoking (1983), and The Corsican Brothers (1984). Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he began his entertainment career as a musician in a Canadian-based rhythm and blues band. Eventually, he landed a gig with the Vancouvers and co-wrote the band's 1960's hit, Does Your Mama Know About Me. From here, he eventually turned towards the life as an actor. The first step was forming City Works, an improvisational group where he consequently met his future comedic partner, Richard “Cheech” Marin. Throughout the 1970's Cheech & Chong earned a massive following until eventually, the duo had run its lengthy and prosperous course and they both embarked on solo careers. Tommy has appeared in several films including 1990's Far Out, Man! and National Lampoon's Senior Trip. He has also starred, most notably, as “Leo” on Fox's That 70's Show, and has guest starred on ABC's Dharma & Greg and The George Lopez Show.

Episode 81 and Wendi and Dfernando's guest interview is actress, author, writer, producer, and activist Mimi Kennedy.Born in Rochester, NY, Mimi first fell in love with acting as a child in community theater, which would lead her to ignite her acting career on stage opposite TV legend Sid Caesar in Neil Simon's LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS along with multi-Emmy Award winner Doris Roberts, who became a friend and mentor.Mimi was active in the NYC theatre scene in the 1970's, cast in plays like Jim Steinman's DAS RHEINGOLD and Andy Warhol's legendary PORK – a role she left due to reasons recounted in her 1996 mid-life memoir TAKEN TO THE STAGE: The Education of an Actress (soon to be released as an audiobook on Audible).  Steinman would become a life-long friend and Warhol, at least in her case, would be proven wrong about his “15 minutes of fame” quote.  In 1976 Mimi made her Broadway debut as one of the Pink Ladies: Jan, in the original Broadway run of the legendary musical GREASE.  She was also a member of the original touring production of THE NATIONAL LAMPOON SHOW.In 1975 Mimi was invited to audition for the original cast (The Not Ready for Prime Time Players) of a brand-new late-night NBC TV sketch comedy-variety series SATURDAY NIGHT (later known as SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), but Lorne Michaels decided on casting Jane Curtin for that spot.    Her stage career did not end when Hollywood and television came calling shortly after. Steve Cooper talks with TV writer/producer/director/major league baseball announcer Ken Levine. Ken is an Emmy winner whose career has spanned over 30 years. He has worked on the shows including M*A*S*H, Cheers, Frasier, The Simpsons, WIngs, Everybody Loves Raymond, Becker and Dharma & Greg and has co-created three series. Steve Cooper talks with actor/writer Liz Vassey. Steve Cooper talks with actor Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. Jodi Lyn portrayed Cassidy Bridges on Nash Bridges. She is also known for her role on Prison Break as Gretchen Morgan, a.k.a. Susan B. Anthony and as Josette "Jo" Laughlin in The Vampire Diaries. She made her big screen debut in 1998 in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and later starred in such films as The Crow: Salvation, Whatever It Takes and Devil In The Flesh 2. In 1999, she co-starred in the teen film She's All That. She kept on filming both movies and Nash Bridges until the series ended in 2001. Later films have included Out for Blood and Venice Underground. On the small screen, she has appeared in various shows including Dharma & Greg, Boston Legal, Two and a Half Men, Charmed, The Evidence,The Big Bang Theory and Tru Calling. In 2014 she was cast in a recurring role in VH1's TV series Hit the Floor.

Steve Cooper talks with actor Bill Brochtrup. Bill was originally cast for just two episodes of NYPD Blue during the show's second season. However, when his splendid portrayal of P.A.A. John Irvin won over the show's producers and audience alike, he was invited to reprise the very same role in comedy series Public Morals and two years later he returned to NYPD Blue as Irvin, and continued to be a much-loved character for 8 seasons. His other TV roles include shows such as Murder, She Wrote, Dharma & Greg, Without a Trace, Dexter, Kendra plus recurring roles in Shameless and Major Crimes.

Steve Cooper talks with actor Jim Turner. Jim is probably best known as ex-football-star-turned-agent Kirby Carlisle on the HBO comedy, ARLI$$ and as the perpetually out-of-sorts hippy, Randee of the Redwoods, that MTV ran for President in 1988. Turner has carved out his television career of playing lots of small town doctors, lawyers, preachers, and teachers on Grey's Anatomy, Perception, Franklin & Bash, Happy Endings, Castle, Big Bang Theory, Young & the Restless, Boston Legal, Dharma & Greg, Party Down and many others. He's also had major roles in several movie comedies: Kicking & Sceaming, Bewitched, Meet Dave, JOBS, The Ref, Joe's Apartment, Golf in the Kingdom and dozens more.  He can currently be seen on the series Granite Flats where you can find on Netflix.

He quickly booked a co-starring role in the movie One Crazy Summer and has been working ever since. He has been a recurring character on Shameless and Mad Men as well as appearing on shows such as Cold Case, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Criminal Minds, My Boys, Desperate Housewives and Two and a Half Men.
