I have been talking about the proper way to build audiences and brands on the Saturday Morning Hustle for a long time. Want to be an entrepreneur or run a successful business? Avoid Social Media "experts" using inspirational quotes + stock photos of exotic cars and vacations. Instead, pay attention to people willing to share practical advice on how to build a business on a day-to-day basis. Don't let them sell you a "system" or "one weird trick" to success. Watch people who #Hustle #Grind and share #Advice along the way. Other people's success doesn't stop you from having success. Good luck to everyone willing to work hard for your dreams. Once you make some $$, don't blow it on superficial stuff. Build your brand THE RIGHT WAY! Originally posted 7/4/20. Happy 4th of July. Celebrate freedom, but please be careful. See you next week! New SMH episodes ended on 5/18/24 but I'm still posting #BestOf and #Flashback episodes from the last 7 years until the end of 2024. You can still find all the past episodes, swag and links to your favorite podcast platforms at https://saturdaymorninghustle.com/ It's Saturday. I'm in the office. Today, we revisit a long-lost episode of the Saturday Morning Hustle podcast that had technical difficulties and was never posted but it's a good, concise discussion episode you don't want to miss. A lot of people say they want success. They say they have to hustle. They say they have to grind. But do they really have what it takes to be successful at what they're trying to build? Do they have the patience, the forethought, the talent, and will they really hustle and grind, or do they think it's something easy like they see on TV? You have to bring something new to the market—something interesting, unique, or different about yourself and how you do what you do—something people can connect to. Everyone wants immediate success. Guess what? The world doesn't work like that. So, if you want to be successful, you'll have to build it. Nobody can just hand it to you. “Writers are not starving artist – there are seven to twelve income streams from one book.” – Tenita Johnson About Our Guest Authors write better thanks to authorprenuer Tenita Johnson. Tenita Johnson is an editorial guru and author printer, perfecting manuscripts for hundreds of best-selling authors. She's on a mission to end the prominent everyday abuse of the English language and rectify punctuation pet peeves. As the founder and CEO of So It Is Written, LLC., Tenita collaborates with industry professionals to take manuscripts to the marketplace, positioning authors for success in the literary world. Well-known by many as the “human spellcheck, noun nerd and grammar police, she proudly wears the badge of honor to correct and serve. Dubbed as the editor's editor, Tenita has positioned writers as experts in their industry, oftentimes empowering them to create their own writing or editorial business, and thus developing multiple streams of income to connect with Tenita. Episode Summary This episode is powered by the Move to Millions Live (and the Million Dollar Intensives) As you should be aware, late last year, I finished writing the book I was born to write. Now, this wasn't my first book, there are seven others – well nine, if you count the two anthologies, I am a featured author in. In full transparency, I wrote each book JUST to be able to get booked to speak and I had very little regard or a plan to sell thousands of copies and to leverage the book beyond the stages I wanted to get invited to. As a result, every book I wrote got very little play when each was first introduced and after that the books sell a trickle of copies each year. And I was okay with that because those books served the purpose of opening up stages – my book, Market Like a ROCK Star, was my most booked signature talk for 5 years. With Move to Millions®: The Proven Framework to Become a Million Dollar CEO with Grace & Ease Instead of Hustle & Grind we have a plan to change all of that. This one book, as my guest for the second time on the podcast says, will make millions. In this powerful episode, Tenita shares a powerful case study to speak to how your book can take you all the way to the million-dollar mark through understanding how to leverage your book into other assets that can make you big money. If you ask anyone who has written a book, they will tell you that their book was an expensive business card – it's what you do once the book is available that determines just how many millions you can make, move and leave. If you have been questioning who you have to BE to write the book that will change millions of lives AND make you millions of dollars, this episode is for you! Grab your pen and paper and listen in now to discover: Why you need to write a book that will make an impact AND multiple streams of income 3 steps to maximizing your next book Which stories to tell in your book so that you increase your conversion into your other offers How to vision cast for your book before it's written And so much more Important Links: Move to Millions Live Incredible One Enterprises com Move to Millions Planner Powerful Quotes from the Episode “If you are an author who is starving, you're doing it wrong.” “There is one book in you that will take you all the way to the million-dollar mark.” “Stop sitting on the book. On today's episode, we will be chatting about warning signs of burnout, how to practically structure our days around what really matters, and God's invitation to be still. This week, the Pantone color that I chose is called Ibiza Blue. It is an island off the coast of Spain with the most beautiful waters. When I think of an island vacation, I think of rest, reprieve, and retreat... and stillness can bring us those gifts in our day to day lives. My guest this week is April Wahl. April is a middle school ministry director at Century Baptist Church in Bismarck, North Dakota, where she lives with her husband and her two boys. April has a master's degree in Bible & Theology, and has served in youth ministry for fifteen years. When she has a free minute, she's either working on her long-boarding skills, writing, shopping for her next pair of Vans, or planning her next trip to Disney World. Time Code/Show Notes 0.35 In Episode 4 of ‘Lockdown to Lift Off' Up Limits Mastermind, real estate expert, Jet Xaviers deconstructs why business leaders eat first, not last! 3.45 How can you become a sustainable leader? How can you lead a profitable business without it negatively impacting on yourself and what's important to you? Health, relationships, mental health, community involvement, social opportunities – are they in alignment? 6.25 One-quarter of business owners rate their mental health as their number one concern. The stats are concerning as Jet outlines the challenges of modern-day small business leaders. 10.45 Can you identify with elements on the Unsustainable Leader Model? 13.50 An unsustainable leader is someone who does not lead themselves. A short bio of Jet's early years is an extraordinary tale of how a man turned his life around. A man who works hard to maintain harmony and flow in his life. 17.29 So many people are not leading the life they want. We all want a life that is connected and means something. Are you a default leader? How do you go out and play a good game then come home and give your best to your family, your kids, and your partner? 24.20 Trust and control issues. We all have them and many of us cannot let go. A successful business requires people who can moderate their emotions. Pivot. Change the way they communicate. Sustainable leaders do not have perfection protection. They don't hide errors or find excuses. They are not perfect and they don't pretend to be. They are not 100% hunters – they have a healthy dose of “nurturer”. 28.00 You must recognise and work your way out of the default leadership paradigm. Identify yourself in leadership types; “The Hollywood Syndrome”; “The Hustle & Grind”; “Winning isn't Everything - It's the Only Thing”; “Military Leadership”; “Big Boys Don't Cry Leadership”; 36.20 Making money is the easy part; making yourself a better person is the challenge. 42.20 Time to make authentic decisions for yourself. Jett gets personal on what looked like his brilliant and successful life and drills it down to all that wasn't authentic. It's an eye-opener. Can you start again like Jet did? 45.55 Your journey to sustainable leadership begins with three elements. Self Awareness. 2 Self Regulation Self Learning 48.30 Ask yourself. Would you buy shares in you? Your personality, your relationship, your parenting, your passions, your business, your growth, your communications? The answer should be yes. Yes, I want to buy more! 52.00 Nick Psaila closes the talk with an emotional account of injury and cardiac crisis that became a true epiphany. It's a story worth telling with Jet, heavily credited for Nick's life-shift. 56.00 Good entrepreneurs look after themselves. Their people; family, children, friends. Deal with your demons. Work on yourself. Sustainable leadership is yours with self-awareness. 58.51 If you'd like to learn more about sustainable, modern-day leadership that changes your life, contact ask@upcoach.com.au

When you meander your way through your days because you're not really sure what you want out of life those days will quickly become weeks, then months and then years. We all know that this is no way to live. Life is meant to be enjoyed and to do that you need to make deliberate decisions. That's what today's show is all about. Today on the show Peter shares his story. Coming from humble beginnings Peter quickly found his feet in his trade and before too long had his own business and was on his way. But on his way to where? And that right there was the problem. The lack of proper mentors and guides meant that there was no real target to aim at and when you shoot at everything you end up hitting nothing. As this podcast evolves and plays out you'll hear Peter share a very personal story. Jamie, myself and all of our audience thank him for being so vulnerable and sharing what he went through. Make sure you stay with today's podcast right to the very end because Peter's story is one of triumph, breakthrough and ultimately redemption. Here's something you might be surprised to know if your social media feed is anything like mine. The “hustle and grind” is NOT the fastest path to your results. In fact, for some people, it's a path to NOWHERE. Especially if you have responsibilities … like a career, family, home, pets, etc.! It's true: the idea of “go hard or go home” might be exciting at first. But a few weeks later? Not so much. This way of thinking can leave you feeling tired, sore, and worn out! All that stress can actually work AGAINST you. There IS a better path. Listening to your body's cues Making small, sustainable changes that add up to BIG results Creating new healthy habits that actually support your lifestyle Doing properly programmed workouts that help you reach your goals and GIVE you energy, not drain it The best thing? It's about building a healthy lifestyle that you can follow (and enjoy!) for years to come. I can show you how we can help, just like we've helped 1000's to reach their health and fitness goals. Let's talk. Reply to this post to schedule a time to map out a path to reach your personal goals. Looking forward to connecting, www.appliedfitnessinc.com #appliedfitness #buffalopersonaltraining

There’s two types of philosophies in the industry that speak to ‘hustle’: one of them you want to avoid like the plague while the other will bring you success faster, easier, and in a way that feels more fun. This is one of the most important distinctions you can make as an entrepreneur -- and the sooner the better. Because if you want true flexibility & freedom (which is why we are all drawn to being an entrepreneurs) this one important shift will allow you to take aligned action without sacrificing your life. — WHERE TO FIND ME — Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kinseymachos/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kinsmachos Captivate & Close Mastermind: https://kinseymachos.com/captivate

In This Episode: It takes a lot of time, effort, and energy to write a good piece of content. So why do most people hit “publish” and let their word baby fade into the vast void of the internet? Ross Simmonds is here to help you change that. He's teaching us how to better leverage the content we create and get more out of every piece you publish. Ross is a digital marketing strategist and entrepreneur who is passionate about technology, remote work, good people, good coffee and storytelling. His writing and coaching has been featured on Forbes, Venture Beat, Huffington Post, Mashable, CBC and more. He's the founder of Hustle & Grind (an eCommerce store for entrepreneurs) and Foundation Marketing — a B2B content marketing agency. Ross has also written two books — Stand Out and The Hustle Manifesto. PLUS - he also sits on the board of directors for Volta Labs, Black Business Initiative, and the Boys & Girls Club of Preston, as well as the board of trustees for Phoenix Youth Programs. Today we're talking content distribution, business mindset, and leaving a legacy with your writing. This was an exciting and insightful conversation that we've been waiting to share with you. Enjoy! Episode Highlights How Ross writes exciting content for “boring” industries (You B2B writers will love this!) The “Guacamole Method” for getting responses to cold outreach His system for distributing your content further so it gets in front of more people How to turn old pieces of content that are collecting dust into assets that drive business His “pitch trick” for getting on more podcasts and stages How to build multiple revenue streams into your writing business The one thing you should do if you want someone to read and respond to your cold pitch How he trains inexperienced writes at his agency to produce high-level content His advice for using your business and platform positively impact causes you believe in (without diluting your brand) How to think and write about controversial subjects His advice for creating a clear vision for the legacy you want to leave And plenty more along the way. Happy 4th of July! I have been talking about the proper way to build audiences, brands on the #SaturdayMorningHustle for a long time. In fact, I posted this exact same topic (1-minute video) exactly 3 years ago. It's a #SaturdayMorningHustle Flashback (2017) - Want to be an #Entrepreneur or run a successful business? Avoid SM "experts" using inspirational quotes + stock photos of exotic cars and vacations. Build your brand THE RIGHT WAY in 2020/21. Happy 4th of July. Celebrate freedom, but please be careful. The GrowthTLDR Podcast. Weekly Conversations on Business Growth.
A winning content marketing strategy is the result of many different elements. Of course, writing is one of them :) But the companies who are truly successful with content marketing perfect two vital parts - content marketing research and promotion. In this episode of the GrowthTLDR, we talk to Ross Simmonds, the founder of Foundation Marketing, a B2B content marketing agency, and Hustle & Grind, an eCommerce store for entrepreneurs. We talk to Ross about: - Why it benefits him as an agency owner to have other brands where he can perfect content marketing tactics. - How you can leverage the 'Sherlock Homeboy' method to reverse-engineer popular content and create something better. - Why companies should be using content to help grow their brand, not just create demand, and how best to measure it. Happy Growing

Welcome to Season 2! I grew up watching #8 Kobe begin his career at 17 years old. I remember when he switched to #24. I watched as he dedicated 20 years of his life to become the "greatest of all time" amongst the other basketball players. Like many others- regardless of whether or not you play or follow basketball, you may have found inspiration in how dedicated he was to his craft while maintaining his role as a family man. I begin the episode talking about how his journey affected mine. I am praying and will continue to pray for all of the families affected by the tragic accident on Sunday. In our pursuit of excellence- the journey can get lonely. We famously here the quote- “it’s lonely at the top” implying the higher your level of achievement and success, the lonelier it is. And though some of that can be true- there is a huge difference between loneliness and isolation. No one ever makes it to the top completely alone. I don’t know of any greats that did it by themselves. There is very often a spouse/partner, family member, or friend that’s right there in your corner. Backing you up. Ensuring that you are pushing yourself to be the best version of yourself. So can you have it all? Join me in the conversation as I talk about maintaining your outside relationships while working on becoming your best self. And how I've been able to maintain relationships with people that are 3,000 miles away from me while I work as a travel nurse. The Vintage Traveling Nurse Podcast is a space created with YOU in mind! Welcome to the end of the year and a decade. But we're ending this year the same way we started it - #RiseAndGrind #SaturdayMorningHustle outworking the competition while they sleep in. That's the point of this podcast, to reaffirm that idea. #Hustle #Grind and #Effort are the keys to success. Being a boss isn't just about being in charge or making the most money. More important than that is control of your career, your life, your future. That comes from effort. First one in, last one out, Lead by example. Don't just walk the walk but talk the talk. Earn it all with hard work, determination and being smart with your time and effort. Never forget where you come from and who helped you along the way. Now, let's get to work! It's Saturday, I'm in the office so it must be the #SaturdayMorningHustle. Listen to the podcast every weekend while your competition is still sleeping. Within the Doane Cast, as we go deeper into the Doaneverse, there will be multiple platforms of Podcasts and content from Darren himself. Make sense? It doesn't have to because we aren't trying to be precious. With some beats lairing the thoughts of Doane, The Hustle Grind Pub is a place where Darren discusses what he calls, “Fed Ex Hustling”. Hustling and grinding are about making things happen with no excuses. If you enjoy getting kicked in the face with motivation on the way to work, your lunch break, or wherever you are, join the Pub!
The world is at our fingertips and this generation seems to look past it. In this fascinating episode, Darren reflects on what pure hustling and grinding looked like in the early 90s and 2000s. It's hard to believe people didn't have what we have today right? What's even harder to believe are people not hustling and grinding as much as the 90s did with the world in our hands today.
Work-life balance, work-life balance, work-life balance. “Work is consuming and taking over my life.” What if this is actually the last issue you are struggling with? What if you're not working hard enough? What seeds are worth planting to hustle and grind? In this gut-punching episode, Darren goes into the reality of people not wanting to actually do the hard work that is required to accomplish anything. It's time to cut the Netflix binge-watching and to go learn a new skill!

Yes, the #SaturdayMorningHustle is all about that #RiseAndGrind but burnout is a real thing, even for the most dedicated hustlers. Everyone eventually hits a wall, but it's different for each individual. So how can you stay at maximum efficiency to avoid crashing into the wall? Find ways to have a little fun. You make a plan to work hard, so also make a plan to avoid burnout. Take small breaks, find fun things to do while waiting for files to download, check social media only during coffee breaks or stops and call someone - an actual old fashion phone call to your BFF or parents or significant other just to remind you why you work so hear. #WorkSmart and #WorkHard for success. a bit of gamification or pauses in your overall hustle goes a long ways. What do you think? How do you keep from burning out or losing effectiveness? Let's talk about it. It's Saturday, I'm in the office so it must be the #SaturdayMorningHustle. Let me just start off by saying that I am SICK of hearing people place value on the hustle life, on the life that consists of nothing but work work work, grind grind grind, wake up and make stuff happen daily. Yes, you need to be a doer, but you want to have the right "Business Owner" mindset. As far as I know, you still can't clone yourself ... so you can't "scale yourself"! Without scaling and taking yourself out of the business you will never achieve freedom of both time and money. Scaling is, amongst other things, achieved by leveraging on OPM (other people's money) and OPT (other people's time). ... so don't fall into the "hustle & grind" trap ... acquire the right mindset and become an entrepreneur! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/failcoach/message
Break your patterns! Interrupt your routine. Avoid burnout and create opportunity for yourself. Be creative. #SaturdayMorningHustle keys to success include #Hustle #Grind and #Consistency but occasionally you need to take a break. The question is when and how? The answer is.... it’s up to you. Everyone is different. In communications, it’s called a pattern interruption. Change the standard response to create a new, difference opportunity to connect. Be interesting. Be memorable. But most of all, find ways to connect, communicate and create the potential for a relationship (personal, business or other). #WorkSmart then #WorkHard but find ways to make your routine less routine to keep your battery charged and communications open. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/satmorninghustle/message
A bit of a light bulb for me this year was realising that a lot of my "failures" in life have not been because I was lazy or because i didn't take massive action but because I didn't take smaller more consistent action. Whether you believe in Hustle & Grind or Law of attraction and allowing, we can't avoid that we experience the world in a way where we see it in pictures and words so if we don't accept that there will be a lag time in our dreams manifesting then we could be cutting ourselves off from those dreams.

The #SaturdayMorningHustle is all about making things happen while everyone else is resting. It's not enough to work hard, but you really have to set yourself apart IF you are trying to build a successful business, career or side-hustle. There's no such thing as an overnight success and there is no one singular way to achieve your goals. But, you can't just tell people you have the drive. You must show them! You also need to prove you have what it takes to build something successful, not just get lucky once. Document your hustle, grind and work process. Show how you made it work and how you can do it again. For me, it's all about the process. I don't just do it and then hand over a finished work product to my clients. No, I involve them in the process to ensure everyone understands how the decisions were made. This creates a better long-term solution for everyone involved. Then, I take my skills and do it all over again. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/satmorninghustle/message
