In this episode, host Sarah Cunningham sits down with two inspiring leaders in the world of workplace wellbeing: Jen Fisher and KeyAnna Schmiedl. They share their personal and professional journeys, offering a refreshing perspective on what it means to create workplaces which truly put people first. Jen Fisher is a best-selling author, award-winning podcaster and influential speaker. Formerly Deloitte US's first Chief Wellbeing Officer, she is a preeminent expert on work wellbeing, and we are thrilled that she has recently joined the World Wellbeing Movement as our US Brand Ambassador. KeyAnna is Workhuman's Chief Human Experience Officer, and a leading voice on bringing human connection, belonging, and recognition to work wellbeing. She brings years of experience advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in both educational and corporate settings, and has received the Diversity Leader Award from Diversity Journal for her exceptional work in fostering an inclusive workplace. She has also featured on Fortune's 40 Under 40 list and was named a DEI Trailblazer by Business Insider. This episode tackles a pressing question: how can organisations prevent employee burnout and instead promote human sustainability and wellbeing? Together, we unpack the organisational barriers that stand in the way of progress, uncovering some of the root causes of poor workplace wellbeing, and urging leaders to stop over relying on individual level interventions that add more to an employees' (already very long) to-do lists. We discuss the essential ‘wellbeing leadership skillset' - skills that can be taught to leaders so that they are properly equipped to foster wellbeing and build happy and productive teams. Whether you're leading a team or advocating for change within your organisation, this conversation offers actionable insights to help workplaces move toward healthier, happier, and more sustainable futures. *** We are all Working on our Wellbeing daily, but not everyone has access to the latest cutting-edge research into the science of wellbeing … until now. From our home at the World Wellbeing Movement, within the University of Oxford, we have created the Working on Wellbeing podcast so that you can be a fly on the wall during our conversations with the world's leading wellbeing experts. Indigo hosts Anna & Josh spend the hour with Reverend Keyanna Jones. Rev. Jones, born and raised in Atlanta, GA, is a community activist and organizer. She talks with us about the #stopcopcity movement in Atlanta, the history of the Weelaunee forest, policing, the GILEE program & militarism, the connections between Gaza and Atlanta, and necessary international solidarity. From The Coolest Show: The City of Atlanta has leased 381-acres of Weelaunee Forest, stolen Muscogee land, to the Atlanta Police Foundation for a police military facility funded by corporations. This would be the largest police training facility in the US in a primarily Black community who overwhelmingly oppose the project. Despite over fifteen hours of public comments against the project, the City Council has approved $67 million in public funding for Cop City. The plans include military-grade training facilities, a mock city to practice urban warfare, dozens of shooting ranges, and a Black Hawk helicopter landing pad. Residents have petitioned the municipal court of Atlanta to gather signatures for a binding referendum. With enough signatures, this would put whether or not Cop City gets built up for a vote on November's ballot box. In this 2 part episode of The Coolest Show, Rev Yearwood speaks with community organizer Rev. Keyanna Jones, economist Dr. Gloria Bromell Tinubu, and community advocate Shar Bates. They discuss the history of the area surrounding the Weelaunee forest, the legacy of environmental racism, the community's work to get signatures, and “the Atlanta Way.” Support the Stop Cop City movement: https://www.copcityvote.com/ For more from The Coolest Show: https://thecoolestshow.com/ This episode was originally produced by The Coolest Show, a Hip Hop Caucus Think 100% production, and was used by Climate One with permission. To change anything at scale, you need to collect data. You need to know the depth of an issue or trend to efficiently and effectively respond to it. When those issues and trends pertain to the people at your workplace, data can't just be numbers. Qualitative data, their stories, the words they say, need as many slides in the deck. KeyAnna Schmiedl, Global Head of Culture & Inclusion at Wayfair, developed the DEI Maturity Matrix to blend the analytical and anecdotal. The dashboard gives her and every other employee at Wayfair a glimpse into how the organization is continually shaping and improving the employee experience and has led to new innovations in how they make their workplace more inclusive and equitable.Edited & mixed by: Rob ValoisMusic by: Breakmaster CylinderLINKSKeyAnna on LinkedInCheck out Workhuman's latest report in collaboration with Gallup: “Unleashing the Human Element at Work: Transforming Workplaces Through Recognition.”FOLLOW US:InstagramLinkedInTwitterFacebookYouTubeWorkhuman Content Newsletter

Ian Chadwick joined us online all the way from California, where he works as a ranger in Joshua Tree National Park. Before that Ian lived in Chicago and worked as nature educator in different places. He shares his own story of why he grew to love nature, why he thinks it's important to connect with it even if you live in the city, and why we should protect our natural environment. He recommends Every Kid Outdoors, a program through the National Parks to give free passes or checking out your local park district. And for those of us living in and around Chicago, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Garfield Park Conservatory, Lincoln Park Zoo (especially the African Penguins), North Park Village Nature Center, and the nearby Indiana Dunes National Park. We talked with Sarah Buino, licensed clinical social worker and founder of Head/Heart Therapy in Chicago, about addiction, and our experiences with stress, anxiety, OCD, and bottled up emotions. Mark, Elvis, and Carlos interviewed Amy Tardif, Regional Manager at the StoryCorps StoryBooth in the Chicago Cultural Center. The mission of StoryCorps is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world. This basically means that when we listen to people tell stories about their lives, we can understand where they're coming from better -- even if they are different from us or we don't agree with them. This interview was recorded at our school in 2019. Due to the COVID pandemic, the StoryBooth at the Chicago Cultural Center is closed at the time of release. But you can sign up to record a conversation with a loved one remotely in their “virtual recording booth” with the help of someone from StoryCorps, who will guide you step-by-step. SESSION SHARED WITH PERMISSION. WARNING-DEMONIC MANIFESTATIONS MAY BE PRESENT. Natasha found out about us about a year ago as she did online research about spiritual warfare. Our videos from our YouTube Channel grabbed her attention. After about a year of knowing about us, she decided to request a deliverance session to be freed from spirit husband. On April 10th, the LORD God divorced her from that spiritual marriage. Natasha had no idea that her deliverance was tied to her friends' deliverance. Natasha then referred Keyanna to us due to suffering also from a spirit husband and Keyanna had no idea that her deliverance was tied to her friends' deliverance. Keyanna referred Ashlie to us due to suffering also from a spirit husband. With their permission, listen to Keyanna and Ashlie's deliverance session from spirit husband. The first session will be Keyanna followed by follow-up phone calls and then Ashlie's session. Dear Hearts, listen to the Holy Spirit Talk to you! Are you a born-again Believer in Christ Jesus and NEVER been delivered from demons living in your mind, will, emotions and body?
