In this episode we talk about the power of love over fear. I share how I was inspired by a song by Lindsey Sterling called "Shatter Me". This song is about a woman whose soul's desire is to attract deep and meaning love into her life. She looks in the mirror and shatters her fears around love and security and finds her true self. When you allow yourself to get into your body and trust your own desires (no matter how crazy, wild and ridiculous they are); you breakthrough the fear that stops you from moving forward. It begins with knowing your desire, acknowledging the fear and then having the courage to say YES; ultimately shattering the fear that was in your way. I truly loved this conversation my friend @lindseystirling . So often in life we're told how important it is to love ourselves without any explanation of what that actually means or how to practically apply that advice. If you've ever found yourself struggling with this concept, one practical tool is to recognize how we love other really important people in our lives. Our parents, children, siblings, nieces, nephews, old friends . . . our love for them doesn't have anything to do with whether they have a good day or a bad day today. We love them because they're ours, even though they can sometimes be difficult or don't always realize their potential. And that's how we have to start viewing ourselves. We don't need to find all of these amazing things about ourselves to start valuing ourselves more. We love ourselves because we're ours. WE are the ones responsible for looking after us. Love yourself like it's your job; because it IS. --- Download your free guide on how to get back into dating after heartbreak. Go to 3SecretsToLove.com and get your copy.

Our teens have been dubbed Generation Isolation by the UK charity OnSide. It follows a poll which showed that 77% of young people spend most of their free time at home and 73%  spend most of their free time on screens. The charity says that while online communication is important and has some benefits, its dominance means young people are missing out on the face-to-face interactions that build social skills, confidence, self-esteem, resilience and empathy.   Whilst it's normal for teens to spend a lot of time alone in their rooms there seems to have been a general change in the amount of physical time that teens are spending socialising. We'll talk another time about parties, and managing them, but this time we discuss those all-important social skills and what we, as parents, can do to hep our teens develop them.RESOURCES:https://parents.au.reachout.com/skills-to-build/wellbeing/things-to-try-friendshipshttps://news.virginia.edu/content/peers-or-parents-study-shows-strong-friendships-set-teens-success-later-lifeBOOKS:How to Win Friends and Influence People for Girls, by Donna Dale Carnegie. How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age, Dale Carnegie Training. The Social Survival Guide for Teens on the Autism Spectrum: How to Make Friends and Navigate Your Emotions by Lindsey Sterling

She was so real to me because she was so... like what I had imagined some things that I heard about from my ex and her family history. And I sort of brought that into Greta to give her some grounding in the reality of it. And then, bearing in mind that she was really untouchable. It's a hard way to describe it, but she was a hard character to describe. Lindsey Sterling, an electric violinist, She did not win "America's Got Talent," but she did find tremendous success on YouTube. Where she has over 150 videos and 12 million subscribers. Pretty amazing women! She was the first solo violinist I know of to create music videos. Where she plays the music and acts it out at the same time. I have been a fan of hers for years. Lindsey has been opening up about the eating disorder that she is struggling with. It inspired the original song “Shatter Me” Where she teamed up with Lizzy Hale, a singer. In the song Lindsey talks about wanting to feel alive. The song lyrics say “somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me.” The song is about how she feels alone “This is spinning endlessly”. This is such a great example of how we can look at people and only see the surface and not understand what is going on inside of them. We can see the trappings of success and yet not know how lonely and broken they feel inside. The problems we have are different. The reactions that we come up with can be different. I don't have trouble with an eating disorder, but I can sure understand the feelings she is dealing with. I have experienced times when I felt alone and like things where “spinning endlessly”. In an interview with ABC news Lindsey reported that she related to the character of a ballerina that was perfect and seemingly flawless on the outside, yet she was consumed with control and perfection on the inside. So what steps can you take to have a healthier body image? Appreciate all your body can do. Write down a top 10 list of what you like about your body. Did they fix the problems from last season? Did we love it? And what are our favorite moments from this latest season? Pop-Culture Trivia - The Umbrella AcademySeason One: Aidan Gallagher (Five) was not allowed to be on set during any gun fight scenes because of child labor laws. Instead a body double was used. The Phantom of the Opera Medley that Vanya plays in the first episode when the characters are introduced is an arrangement performed by violinist Lindsey Sterling."My Chemical Romance" frontman Gerard Way penned the original comic series.Season Two: Ellen Paige collaborated with showrunners to ensure that Vanya and Sissy’s relationship didn’t turn out to be a tragedy (Thank you!)The crew did not get a clean take of the scene when Luther farts in the elevator, if you watch closely you can see Diego laughing. The only scene filmed in Dallas was the grassy knollThe cast did not get the final pages of the script for episode ten until closer to shooting. For additional fun, check out this interview with the cast and find out all the little secrets.GEEK OUTSTrish - Star Girl! OMG, a love letter to the Silver Age of comics, a family-friendly gem that won’t bore parents and all-around a GREAT show!Jeremy - Tales from the Loop, an anthology style show on Amazon is the perfect blend of retro-futurism and nuanced story telling. The best part, it’s based on narrative art books created by Simon Stalenhag and the Zon does them justice. Check out his book: https://amzn.to/30L6mtQ Deep Dive - The Umbrella AcademyTrish -  They fixed the major issues for me from the first season, although it was close. I honestly did not trust the showrunners so I was distracted by worry throughout the season and admit that it diminished my enjoyment of the season overall. That being said, I liked it enough that a second viewing is in order so that I can absorb it better. The last episode sealed the deal for me in the way that Vanya was allowed to legit be the most powerful person in the room without destroying the world, and how they really tried to reach Lilly and invite her into the family. The scene between Ben and Vanya is the most powerful one in my opinion. He gives her permission (in a healing way) to be angry and hurt, he validates her experiences of abuse at the hands of her father and helps her start the healing process. It was beautiful.Jeremy - My bar was set pretty low. The first season is filled with characters I spent more time hating than loving. There is a thing as too much quirk and I think trying to make every character the extreme of that quirk got tiresome. I prayed for Vanya’s death by the end (actually, all of them.) The second season is a different story. It opens with a bang, quite literally. There is more depth with each character as threads of their lives are actually plot relevant. Vanya is less annoying (I only wanted her dead here and there) and it goes to show some serious amnesia can fix a poorly plotted personality. Ben gets to be relevant. They attempt to give Diego some depth (and yet nerf him in the process) and Klaus is really just more of the same ol’. Allison saves the season for me. Her story has relevance, it’s retro and very now at the same time. She has romance, complexity, and a few badass moments. The rest of the family is better balanced which lets you enjoy the story, but if you found them annoying in season one, be prepared for more annoying. QotW: Did you love or hate Season Two of the Umbrella Academy?Visit Superhero-Fiction to Discover Uncanny Superhero Stories Subscribe to Geekorama to Stay Up-to-Date on All Things SuperheroiTunes | Spotify | Podbean | Youtube Follow Superhero-Fiction on Social MediaSuperhero-Fiction Facebook Page | Superhero-Fiction Facebook Group Trish Heinrich – Facebook | InstagramJeremy Flagg - Facebook | Instagram

The Power of the Only

"Would you ever think standing up and sharing your story could lead to raising 18 Million Dollars and save 15,000 children? That is the Power Of The Only in action." Today I'm going take you behind the scenes with Tony Robbins.  Last week my husband and I had the privilege of being a part of the host committee for Tony Robbins 60th Birthday celebration and benefit concert for Operation Underground Railroad - an organization that rescues children from sex trafficking. Some of you may a be a big fan of Tony's work, read his books or been to his transformational events or just know him as the self-help infomercial guy in the 80's and 90's, coach to the stars and 4 US Presidents, or the person that got Oprah Winfrey to walk on fire. He's all of these things and more. He's an entrepreneur, #1 NY Times best selling author, philanthropist and the nations #1 life and business strategist. For more than 40 years he's impacted more than 50 million people across the world… helping others create success and fulfillment. Last weekend we celebrated his life and legacy at the Microsoft Theatre in the heart of LA Live. While I'm going to share behind the scenes of this red carpet-celebrity filled celebration and benefit concert, more importantly I'm going to share the story of how the ripple effect of one single act can really create positive change. I'll share the true secret to living a full life, why sharing your story matters, how to open up to receiving, how to build community and influence, and I'll share what one celebrity host did that instantly created a deeper connection with the audience and how you can apply it to your communication. I'll also share the lessons and stories from that evening  that can help you in your business and life. The event was a benefit for Operation Underground Railroad led by former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard. Together with his team of former CIA, FBI and law enforcement they rescue victims, help capture and prosecute the offenders, they also give local law enforcement the tools and strategies to dismantle the human trafficking networks. They also focus on the aftercare to reintegrate or rehabilitate the children. It's a dark issue that many don't want to see, but they are taking it head on and making a difference. There is more slavery today than anytime in human history and many of those trafficked are children-globally and here in the US. Since 2013 they've rescued more than 10,000 victims but now they can continue to save more lives. "In one night more than $18 Million was raised! That's saving the lives of 15,000 children Wow. I was in awe." - Angela Chee This all started just a few years ago when one woman stood up at a Tony Robbins' Business Mastery event and shared her story. Tony believes life is not just about business, it's about contribution and the secret to living is giving. They shared stories about causes they were passionate about, she said she wanted to help rescue girls and talked about the work of Operation Underground Railroad. This led to Tony learning about the organization and donating on the spot and it created a ripple effect where others started to donate and led to $500,000 being raised that day. Since then Tony has been passionate about the organizations' work and vowed to save more lives. "On his 60th birthday - his friends, family and hundreds of those he impacted filled the Microsoft Theatre to celebrate and fufill this mission." - Angela Chee From the evening's host Dr. Oz and Maria Menunous and a dance performance from Derek Hough (Huff) accompanied by Lindsey Sterling on Violin, performances by Melissa Etheridge, Leona Lewis, Andy Grammer, Pitbull and Actor Gerard Butler doing his best Tony impersonation with his signature baseball cap, black shirt and shorts. It was a beautiful moving evening. You can find videos of the performances and stories on Instagram under highlights-events. 18 million dollars means 15,000 lives saved. If you would like to find out more go to www.ourrescue.org. There's also a major Hollywood film about Operation Underground Railroad and the life of Tim Ballard coming soon starring Jim Caveziel called Freedom. I saw the trailer, it's really powerful! The reason I'm sharing this story is because I want you to know if you don't think you make a difference, you do. "What you believe in matters, what you share matters and what you stand up for matters." - Angela Chee Remember this: One woman sharing her passion at an event led to Tony's support and bringing more awareness, and the power of his community and influence because of his impact through the years will now save more lives and bring even more awareness. That is The Power Of The Only and Power, Presence and Representation in action.  You have no idea of the ripple effect of one single act. When you step up it can change everything. What are some of the other lessons from that evening? Being at LA Live brought back memories….I can't believe I covered the ground breaking ceremony back in 2005 when I was an LA reporter and this whole complex was just an idea. I remember sitting in the news van in front of the Staples Center looking at graphic of the development plans - they wanted it look like Tokyo…. with all the video screens…. A reminder that all things start with a vision. I was also inspired by so many moments that evening about the power of stories. The ones you tell others and the ones you tell yourself and their impact on your life and your success. From seeing blind and autistic singer Kodi Lee - winner of America's got talent play the piano and sing with such beauty and grace. To Melissa Etheridge sharing her story of how Tony impacted her life…. and what she learned. She said when you're reaching for your dreams you always think once you reach your goal then you will be fulfilled. You spend your life chasing this thing….whatever it is for you…… but then wonder why it's not enough - because fufillment doesn't always come with success or having it all. It comes from within you and stories you tell yourself. To listening to leaders like Peter Guber - Chairman of Mandalay Entertainment and owner of several sports teams from Golden State Warriors to LA Dodgers, and Paul Tudor Jones hedge fund manager and philanthropist talk about the power of mindset, and their transformations through the years. And Marc Benioff founder of sales force talking about giving and tackling the issue of homelessness in San Francisco. Singer Andy Grammer shared his joy and gratitude remembering his journey from starting as a street performer in Santa Monica to now. There's also lessons in receiving. Tony who is usually on stage for hours at a time leading the transformation was just sitting in the audience and listening. There was also another example of receiving……. His wife Sage who organized the event shared stories from last year when Tony had some health scares but continued to serve at his events and during that difficult time he also learned how to receive from his team and his audience. For those of you who are leaders and are usually giving and sharing it isn't always easy to stop and receive, but that can be powerful as well. And while The Power Of The Only is about inspiration and lessons from leaders it's also about how you can use your voice, power and presence to help you be a better communicator and leader. I also wanted to share a specific behind the scenes moment that will give you an inside look at what it was like hosting a show and what you can learn from Maria Menunos that may help your speaking and how you connect with an audience.  Tune into the podcast to learn how she turned her life's biggest challenge to a gift and what you can learn from her sharing her story. The power of sharing your story not only creates connection and helps you command your audience, but you never know who you may impact or what ripple effect you may create like it did for Operation Underground Railroad. So listen here to find out what Russell really thinks of the past six years of Funnel Hacking Live. ---Transcript--- What’s up, everybody? This is Russell Brunson, I want to welcome you back from Funnel Hacking Live, back to the Marketing Secrets show. Hey everyone, we just back from Funnel Hacking Live yesterday and then today I’m actually flying with my family out to Puerto Rico to hang out with a whole bunch of amazing marketers out there. And I just got this short window to sit and to message you guys. And part of me wants to sit down and do a huge recap of the entire event, which was 4 days of insanity, by far the best Funnel Hacking Live we’ve ever had, which is so crazy because every year we get done and every year the question is “How in the world are we going to make this better than last year?” There’s no way even to top it and somehow, someway, every year it keeps getting better and better and better. So anyway, without me doing a 14 hour episode kind of going into all the details of the stuff, I was thinking more about, this is our 6th event and I want to talk about just kind of the big things I got from each event, like the big takeaway’s and feelings I remember from each one. And for those who were at these events, hopefully it reminds you of that. For those who aren’t, maybe it’ll, I don’t know, who knows what will come up for you. Worst case scenario, hopefully it will get you to go and book tickets for next year’s Funnel Hacking Live. Right now tickets are on sale for I think another day, and then we pull them off the discount. I don’t know if they’ll be available or not, but if they are go to FunnelHackingLive.com and get your tickets for next year’s event in 2021 back in Nashville again. It’s going to be amazing. So with that said, so again, this is our 6th Funnel Hacking Live. The very first one, I remember it was a couple of months after we launched Clickfunnels and people in our community started gathering together and doing these little meetups, and they’d call them Hack-a-thons. Because me and Todd used to always talk about how when we launched Clickfunnels we’d go into these hack-a-thons and go into a room for a week or two weeks, drink a bunch of Redbulls and code all night. Not going to lie, I don’t know how to code, and I didn’t drink Redbulls, but they would. And I’d be sitting there trying to do marking, and I’d be doing Dream 100 and writing copy and writing emails and sales pages, all the things to get ready for this launch. So we started seeing people doing that, and they were getting together, and they were like, ‘Let’s do a hack-a-thon, who wants to meet up in San Diego? Who wants to meet up in Austin?” And we started seeing this happening and we’re like, “We should do an event.” I was actually really scared of doing an event because the last two events I had done in a prior business, one of them I had 300 people who signed up, and then only 100 showed up, which was bad. The next one we had 1200 people signed up and only 200 showed up, which was humiliating to me. The second one wasn’t my own personal event, but I was part of the community that was doing it. I remember getting there, and we’re about to open the doors, and we looked out in the hallway, and we were like, ‘There’s no way there’s 1200 people here.” So we came back and we pulled out a thousand, probably 8 or 900 chairs out of the room, and it was the worst most painful, awkward, embarrassing feeling for me ever. People came in, and there’s like 2/3rds of the room empty, no chairs, the first 3rd only had chairs. Ugh. Anyway, I was like, “I’ll never do events again.” So you know fast forward now, 3 or 4 years later we’re sitting at this thing and we’re like, ‘We should do an event.” And I’m like, “I don’t want to do an event.” And like, “If we don’t, someone else is going to start doing one in our community. It’s happening regardless, we have to do this thing.” So we finally agreed to do it. We sold tickets, we sold 600 tickets to it, it was in Las Vegas, and I remember being so scared that nobody was going to show up. And we were also giving away my Ferrari at this thing, and we were launching our Dream Car Contest. So in the room we had the Ferrari and we had a Corvette, which I ended up keeping that Corvette for a couple of years afterwards, because it was pretty awesome. But we had this event, I remember being so scared and I remember we started at noon day one. And we started at noon and I remember sitting at 11:00-11:30 sitting behind the stage scared to death that no one was going to show up. I remember peaking behind the curtain and looking out, and being blown away that we packed the room. It was packed. And I didn’t know what to do, just one of those things where you’re freaking out about everything. Anyway, the event was amazing, we started on, again, it started at noon and we did the whole, that whole day, the second day we did a whole day, and the third day we went to about noon day three, and then we were done. So literally it was like a 2 day event, because I didn’t know what else to talk about, and you know, I was not an event person. I do remember at that event was the first time we decided to launch a Clickfunnels certification program. And we were only going to have 50 people sign up for it, and it was one of the biggest table rushes I’ve ever seen. We ended up getting over a hundred people signed up for it, and we launched our certification program. I remember that event, it just, when it was done, just being so grateful. We weren’t sure if we were going to do it again, then finally decided, yeah, let’s do it again. So that was Funnel Hacking Live part one. Funnel Hacking Live part two, we decided to go to San Diego, and we thought we’d make it a little bigger, so we went from 600 seats to 1200, which I was super scared about. So we did it in San Diego, and at that event, is…let’s see how did we do it? At that event is where we launched, no we re-opened up the certification program. I think year one was $3500, year two we raised it to $8000. This is the first event we ever had a keynote speaker, so we had Marcus Lemonis come, which was so cool. And it was crazy, we did the whole event, we sold the certification program again. This time we did it differently. Darin Stevens who is a close friend of mine, he kind of showed me the way they sold things at events, so we kind of modeled his model, which basically I talked about and I had everybody leave the room, and then if they wanted to sign up they had to come back in with a $500 deposit. And then they’d come back in, and then basically what we’d do is we’d sit down and explain to them what it was, and they had the chance to pay the $8000 at that point. And I remember everybody leaving the room and being so scared like, “What if nobody comes back in?” I was hyperventilating, and freaking out. And then we opened the door for those who wanted to sign back up and we had 120-130 people come back in and we did over $1 million in sales that event, and I was just like, “Oh my gosh, this is crazy.” So that was year two. Same thing that year, I remember being scared to death no one was going to show up. That event was amazing. And the big thing I remember getting from that event, is I didn’t just have marketing teachers, like we did year number one. I brought in some personal development coaches. We had Sean Stephenson came and spoke, Marcus Lemonis who I thought was going to be a business speaker, but he was more personal development, he was amazing. We had, I’m going to blank on his name, he was a comedian, like a personal development comedian, he came and spoke and it was awesome. Yeah, that was that year. It was cool. So then, fast forward to Funnel Hacking Live 3.0, we went to Dallas, and this time we had 1300 seats, so we got a little bit bigger. We ended up selling out really fast, which was kind of, I was like, “Oh my gosh, I guess this could be bigger than we thought.” This was the first year that I ever invited Tony Robbins to speak, I was so excited and so nervous. We also shut down our certification program at that time, so we decided not to keep doing certifications, for reasons that could a be a podcast for another day. So I was like, “I need something different to sell at the event.” At each event we sell something. So we’re kind of thinking through that, and we did a couple of things. Number one, that’s where we launched Actionetics MD, the very first time. And I remember that presentation killed it, it was one of my best presentations ever. I just went onstage and we had the “We are not ConfusionSoft” t-shirts, I ripped my shirt off, and the biggest table rush ever. Tons of people signed up for that, which was awesome. But then later in the event we tried to sell the FHAT event so people would come to Boise for $10,000 and I totally screwed up that whole presentation. I think we got like 5 people to sign up and I was just devastated because the year before we did over a million dollars, and this year we did like 50 grand or something in sales. And I remember I just, it would get me bummed out because that event, oh and I remember I tried to orchestrate the event, I had a whole new idea that I thought was going to be the greatest thing ever, so I orchestrated the event to set up the sale in this certain way, and it completely bombed and we lost money at that event. I was like, we should never do this again. Especially after we spent so much money on Tony Robbins and all these things. I remember that event, and even leading up to the event, there was a couple of things, I did a presentation right before Tony and I didn’t go very well. I remember just, after that, before Tony got there, it was like, “I never want to do this again. I’m done. I’ll never do Funnel Hacking Live again.” Then Tony came out and he just killed it. It was amazing. I remember afterwards, him on stage and the entire audience stood up and started chanting my name, and I was like, “I didn’t do anything. I brought tony, but I didn’t do anything.” But because I brought Tony to them, people were chanting. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is amazing.” So after that event, I remember going back and first off, I didn’t want to do it again, but we decided let’s do it one more, let’s do it again. So we did. This time we decided to go to Orlando and have 3500 people, so it got bigger, and we invited Tony back again, and he said, “Yes.” which was really, really. And this time we hired Sage Productions, which if anyone knows Barry and Blue at Sage, they are an amazing team that helps you run events but also helps you choreograph how you sell at events as well. So we changed how we did everything. And of all the events I think we’ve ever done, this was my, this was the one that was the most fulfilling for me for a lot of reasons. Number one, it was the first time we ever had the Operation Underground Railroad, we showed the Operation Toussaint video at that presentation. Tim Ballard was there, we brought everything on, and it was insanely emotional. I remember at the end of night one, day one was amazing anyway, but at the end of night one we showed the documentary and me and Tim Ballard got on stage and we’re bawling our eyes out, I was an emotional wreck. It was bad. And that was day one. Day two went off, day three went off, and then we launched the Two Comma Club X coaching program, and we were hoping to sell I think, 250 people was the goal, and night one we signed up l think 400 people. And I was just blown away. And the next day we did a re-pitch, which I’d never done before, and we had Myron Golden come up and do this re-pitch that he just kind of made up on the spot and he closed another 300 and something people. So we had 800 and something people that signed up for the coaching program that year. I remember coming off stage and Melanie my assistant was back there, and I walked up to her and she’s bawling her eyes out, I’m like, ‘What’s the matter? What’s the matter?” and she’s like, ‘Everything was just perfect.” She’s like, “We ended up raising over a million dollars for OUR, the coaching program ended up doing over 10 million dollars in sales.” It was just like, and what’s crazy is that 3 weeks earlier was the 10x event where I did 3.5 million dollars in sales. So it was like, this month was like insane. I did 3.5 million in sales in 90 minutes and then fast forward less than a month later and we did, I think it ended up being 12 million dollars in sales, 3 weeks later at our event. I was like, “this is insane.’ And to raise a million dollars for charity, and then Tony came and spoke again, it was awesome. I was just like, definitely for me, that was probably my favorite Funnel Hacking Live, personally, just because it was, I don’t know. Success from getting people to sign up for coaching, and success for a charity, it was 3500 people. It was magical. That was my event that was like the magical one. Then fast forward to last year, we decided to go to Funnel Hacking Live Nashville. And this time we grew. I think we ended up having 4300 people, if I remember right, who came to this one, it was in Nashville. Our backdrop to that was sick. We didn’t have Tony Robbins this year, and we decided to do a concert instead. So we had Lindsey Sterling at the end, and this event was amazing. I could just, all the things were awesome, and we launched, we sold the coaching program again, we didn’t sell quite as many, but it was pretty close. I think we ended up with 750 people join the coaching program during that one, which was, I think the year earlier it was 850 people, if I remember right, this was 750. It wasn’t quite as big, but it was still amazing. At the end Lindsey Sterling did a concert and I thought it was going to be cool, and it was so much cooler than I thought. It was ridiculous. The one thing I do remember is at the end of it, there was negative publicity after that event. Garret White did a really good presentation but he kind of, he uh, anyway, those who were there remember the buzz online, there was some negativity around it, we got some flack, and there was a lot of damage control. It was tough because this whole event happened and it was emotional, and it was hard to raise another million dollars for OUR, which was insane, and then leaving and that night when I’m supposed to be relaxing, I was on social defending stuff and trying to… I remember the next day, it just, I don’t know, that event was good but it just ended in a way where I was just like, “Ugh.” It just didn’t, I didn’t feel like I had a chance to rest. You know what I mean? It was like, “Ugh.” and got back in the real world and just…yeah, that event was amazing from a coaching and from a raising money thing, but it definitely wasn’t, just didn’t leave me fulfilled at the end like Orlando did. Orlando, when that ended I remember we took our kids to Disney World for the next week and I remember just being on cloud 9, where as last year we left and I just kind of had this uneasy feeling. So that’s how last year went. So this year coming into it, I was like, “Ah, I want to make sure everything is perfect. I’m so scared, so nervous.” We also this year, those who heard, we sunsetted the Two Comma Club X coaching program, and we shifted things. We are now moving the entire Clickfunnels company 100% into a software subscription business. So anything that’s not sold in subscription is basically being shut down or faded away. So the coaching program wasn’t part of the subscription. So what we basically did is we added a new tier of Clickfunnels called the Clickfunnels Collective, which starts at $1497 a month, and it gives you live phone support, gives you 9 user accounts, a bunch of other really cool things. And then when people sign up for that, they actually  get the coaching program for free, which ends up being a thousand dollar a month discount from what we sold coaching at last year. Plus, they get live phone support, plus they get user accounts. So it’s literally like the best offer ever, but the hard thing is the way we had to sell it goes against everything that I personally believe. If you’ve gone through the 10x Secrets training course you know I talk about, never use phones to make orders at events, it’s the stupidest thing ever. You have to take paperwork from all these people, run to the back of the room to get the social proof, all these things. But we had these crazy limitations where we couldn’t do that because now it’s a software subscription, so people have to upgrade their Clickfunnels account, it’s the only way to get it. So we had to shift things around and it ended up doing really good. It didn’t do as good as the two years prior, but we also knew there was going to be a whole bunch of things against us because we were explaining a whole new thing, that people didn’t understand. It’s confusing, they’re not filling out order forms, they actually have to login on their phone and we have to figure out how to get internet to work with everybody. And it’s like AT&T and Sprint, or AT&T and Verizon worked in the room, but the other carriers didn’t. So then we had to go and hire, or pay 50 grand for internet access, so people who couldn’t get on could get internet. It was just kind of a stressful crazy thing. But all said and done, I think we ended up getting close to 500 people who upgraded to the new Clickfunnels Collective, which was awesome. And then the event, now I want to talk about the event. The event was amazing. All the speakers were so good. I know I had 11 presentations this year, which is the most I’ve ever done. I just get addicted to being onstage and talking to everybody. I’m like, “This is my event, I want to be onstage as much as I can.’ And it was crazy because Bart Miller helps me do my clothing, he had, I think I had 10 different costumes this year, 10 different outfits. So every time I spoke I had to change, get new clothes on, it was kind of ridiculous. But it was really, really cool. So the first couple of days I was stressed out because I was onstage so much. I didn’t get to hear all the presentations. But the ones I heard were like, they were so good. Just another caliber, another level, which was just amazing.  So we had all of those. And then the last day I had a chance to sit in the audience. So I remember, day four for me was amazing because it was the only day I had a chance to listen to every word of everyone. And that day I was so proud of Heather Quisel spoke. And I knew she was going to be, I knew she was going to be really, really good, but she was beyond that. It was great, it was insane. And that was awesome, and Garret White came and spoke, and obviously I had some fear from last year, him speaking and kind of how the event left. And we talked a lot about that leading up to the event, and he came. And he’s the only speaker who spoke at all six events besides me, and it was by far his best one ever. It was so good. It just, I can’t even tell you how good it was. And I know some people left the room because he uses the F-word, and I hate that, because man, what he left was the best….I’m stuttering trying to explain how good it was. It was amazing. After that we had Tony. And this year, I don’t know if you guys saw or heard the podcast episode where Tony did the intervention with me, or watched the YouTube video, but I asked him and his team I said, “If Tony would be willing to do interventions this year, not just teach but go in the audience and actually work with people directly, that would be really, really cool.” And it’s crazy, before the event I went back there and he couldn’t even walk. He’d done a whole bunch of these different stem cell shots in his legs to try and recover the night before something, and literally his team was carrying him to the side. He was trying to warm his legs up, he’d been trying for like 5 hours to warm his legs up, he couldn’t even walk, it was crazy. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, how is Tony going to do this for the next 3 or 4 hours?” He’s back there trying to warm them up, and he kind of gives me a hug before I go and introduce him, and he’s literally not even standing. He’s in so much pain. So I go out there to introduce him and I’m like, what do I even do? This is crazy. I don’t even know what to do, you know. So I introduced him and he comes out, and within a minute or two his adrenaline kicked on and you couldn’t even tell. He was out there jumping and doing crazy stuff. It was amazing. He went out into the audience and did interventions with a whole bunch of people that were so powerful. And he ended up going for I think over 4-4 ½ hours, which was like, we didn’t get done til after 7. And it was the best I’ve ever seen Tony, and I’ve seen Tony a lot live, and it was the best I’ve ever seen him ever. I just loved it, it was amazing. And all the other speakers, I wish I could go deep on all of them, everybody did so good this year. That last day was special for me, because I think it was the one that I was least stressed, so I had a chance to, I wasn’t running around running the event. I was actually participating. But man, this year’s speakers were just off the charts. Everybody, it was, I could not have hoped or prayed for more. And those who were there, I know you guys just ate it up. We ended up raising money for charity, not as much as in the years past, we ended up raising, let’s see, a quarter of a million for OUR and then we had $52,000 for the quilt, so probably $350,000-ish, for OUR. And then Village Impact, we gave a check for $200 and something thousand, because every time you guys build a funnel inside of Clickfunnels, we donate a dollar to village impact, so we did a $200,000 check for that. And then we raised another $120,00 from people in the room to build wells. So it was enough to build two wells in Africa, in Kenya for kids to get water, which was awesome too. So that was the event. What else happened? There were so many cool things. But for me, it just ended really well and I felt satisfied afterwards. And it was just like, I was happy and I’m excited about the future and where things are going and our shifts and our changes. Oh, we also watched a documentary with everyone called the Two Comma Club, which was really cool. We, there were so many, if you weren’t there I’m so sorry. You guys need to come to these events, seriously. If you knew what was going on, how it would touch and effect and change your destiny from that point forward for the rest of your life, there’s no way you would miss it. Oh, and by the way, Tony Robbins did his entire presentation without swearing. Yes, it was so cool. So thank you Tony for that. A couple other speakers dropped the F-bomb, so I guess they made up for Tony. But for  the most part we try to keep it as clean as possible. Anyway, so that was what’s happened the past couple of years at Funnel Hacking Live. Next year we’re coming back to Nashville. This last year we had about 4500 people, and I think next year, the capacity you get up to 5000. Just so you guys know, how far, how events work if you want to do an event in a hotel, which is a better way to do events because it’s warmer, it’s like, I don’t know you’re in a hotel and it’s awesome, about 5000 is about as many as you can get into an event in a hotel. If you go beyond that, then you have to start looking at convention centers, which are, I do not like convention centers. They’re colder, they’re like, I don’t, you go to a big huge thing, and there’s hotels around it, you have to walk to it, you lose the feeling of it. I don’t know if we’ll ever get, you know despite the fact that demand is growing, we’re over 100…well over 100,000 customers now, I don’t think we’re going to grow the venue, because I like doing the hotels and I don’t want to lose that feeling. We’ll probably just keep raising the prices. I don’t know, supply and demand, whatever it takes. Anyway, that’s my goal, at least as of right now, keep it in hotels. So we’ll have 5000 next year, I hope one of those 5000 people are you. If you knew how much stress and energy and money we put into this, man, you would do everything in your power to make sure you were at the event. Next year’s event is going to be different though. I’m not sure if I’m going to sell anything at next year’s event. We’ve talked a lot about potentially not doing it at all. Just doing 100% focusing on the teaching and training and all that kind of stuff. So I don’t know. I’m not saying we will or we won’t, but I do know that next year is going to be way different. Oh, one cool thing we did this year which was brand new is we did a session called FunnelFlix, which we, I brought a big couch onstage and me and Devon and Todd like hung out on this couch watching FunnelFlix on the big screen, and what people didn’t know, it’s cool, we’re scrolling through FunnelFlix like, “Oh, that’s a new course, what’s this.” And we click on it, and it’s like Frank Kern, you know, and all the sudden the video starts playing, it’s Frank and all the sudden, boom, the walls open and Frank Kern walks out. And no one knew Frank was coming, it was a huge surprise. People went nuts. And we had 7 or8 speakers like that, who all came up, and were all surprise guests, they came out during the FunnelFlix presentation, it was so awesome. We had so much fun. So anyway, so there’s a kind of history, re-cap of the last 5 or 6 years from my point of view. What happened, how sales went, what was good, what was bad, you know. And I think every event has been special and unique for different reasons. My personal favorite still was just the Orlando event, just because of OUR and the first time we sold coaching at that level and the feeling afterwards. But I would say this year’s event was probably my personal second favorite one. It was good. It ended so well and I was happy and everyone was happy, we served at such a high level. Speakers were better than I could ever dream for, and it was just really, really special and awesome. Anyway, I’m excited. The goal every year is how do we make this better than last year? And I’m not sure yet how to do that for next year, but I’ve got a little over a year to figure it out. So I’m here to support you guys and make sure you have an amazing time. If you don’t have your tickets yet for next year go get them at FunnelHackingLive.com. I promise you we will make this show worthwhile. With that said, thanks you guys. Have an amazing day and we’ll talk to you all soon. Bye everybody.

IT' ALL ABOUT THE HUSTLE. What gatekeepers are holding you back from doing what you love? I’m inspired by the creators on YouTube. They are people who have forged their own path. They didn’t wait for someone to allow them to make videos- they just went out and did it. They’ve dealt with negative comments. They’ve had failed videos. They’ve faced countless setbacks. And they still continued to create. You have to give yourself permission to find and express your true self. On today’s episode of The School of Greatness, I created a mashup of all my favorite interviews with the women of YouTube: Lilly Singh, iJustine, Bethany Mota, and Lindsey Sterling. Lilly Singh (aka iiSuperwomanii) is a multi-faceted comedian, entertainer, actress and the founder of #GirlLove. She has found worldwide fame through her comedic and inspirational YouTube videos, amassing 12 million subscribers. In March 2017, she released her debut book HOW TO BE A BAWSE: A Guide to Surviving Conquering Life, which became a #1 New York Times Best Seller. As a role model to women and girls around the globe, Singh created her #GirlLove initiative to break the cycle of girl-on-girl hate and encourage women to build each other up. Justine Ezarik, the YouTube personality better known as iJustine, took the internet by storm. She's been around for more than a decade, first popping up on YouTube in 2006 where she has accumulated millions of subscribers and fans. The vlogger still remains beloved and has since branched out with a bustling Instagram account and a memoir. Bethany Mota started with her channel, Macbarbie07 in 2009. She rose to fame for her haul videos, in which she shows her fashion and style purchases via the internet. She uploads videos of outfit ideas, makeup and hair tutorials, recipes, and do it yourself ideas. She has since expanded into her own fashion line at Aéropostale. She has gone on multiple tours, which she calls her "Motavatours" to meet and interact with fans. She also appeared on Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars. Lindsey Sterling is a violinist with 10 million YouTube subscribers, over 1.9 billion views on her YouTube channel, 2 Billboard Music Awards, Billboard chart-topping hits and sold-out tours worldwide. All of these women share a common drive that forces them to keep putting themselves out there and keep being better each day. So get ready to learn how to find creativity and inspiration on Episode 779. Some Questions I Ask: Where does your hustle come from? (4:00) Who do you want to be? (6:00) What’s your vision for what you’re creating? (8:00) What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned about yourself? (9:00) If you could put up one final video, what would you post? Changing The World – Behind the scenes of the last day, the Lindsey Stirling concert, and so much more. On today’s episode Russell recaps day four of Funnel Hacking Live 2019. Here are some of the amazing things you will hear in this episode: Find out why Garrett White bringing an audience member onstage and getting him to purchase the Two Comma Club coaching program caused some controversy. Hear what Russell’s favorite part of having Lindsey Sterling at Funnel Hacking Live was. And hear Russell gush over how appreciative he is of everyone involved in this year’s event. So listen here to find out how the final day of Funnel Hacking Live 2019 went. ---Transcript--- What’s up everybody? Alright, welcome to day number 4 of 4 of the Funnel Hacking Live recap. Man it’s like, as I’m going through these again and reliving all the moments, it’s just like I’m putting myself in the room and experiencing the feelings and the excitement and  the energy and I miss it, it’s crazy. So for those of you guys who were there, you know that you experienced it and I hope you guys come back in next year so we can serve you again. It’s crazy, I had so many people come to me and tell me, “I’ve been to so many Funnel Hacking Lives and so many other events and this was by far, not just the best Funnel Hacking Live, but the best event. I’ve ever been to.” Which meant a lot. And I even had, it’s interesting because one of the early, early, Brian Bowman, one of the early members in our community, he voxed me and said, ‘It’s interesting, I’ve been in your community a long time and we were coming to the events when there was 600 people, then a thousand, and a lot of times as things get bigger the people who have been around a long time get kind of pushed out. They miss that special thing. I don’t know how you did it, even with 4500 people there, we all still felt special.” Even for the people who have been around a long time, it was still amazing. It was the best one yet. So that meant a lot to me. So we try to keep it cool. It’s interesting because my vision for Funnel Hacking Live before going to the 10x event was like we should have 35,000 people in the stadium, and now that I’ve done that and it was not as intimate, it was harder to connect and communicate, we decided to keep it smaller. So as I told you before, we’re returning, we’re going back to Nashville next year, in the same room, same ballroom, same stage. I want people to, I told people after the Two Comma Club presentation, “This is the same stage, the literal stage you’ll be standing on next year if you get your Two Comma Club award. Look at that, this is your spot.” So that was kind of cool. But we’re in the same spot so that means, I think we get 5000, it’s like the Fire Marshall limit in the room. So we could have an extra 500 people from this year, but not much more. So we sold out every year in the past, we’ll sell out again this year. We are less than a year away from it already, so if you don’t have your tickets I’d highly recommend that you go. So go to funnelhackinglive.com and get them. Prices will be raising soon, other stuff will be happening. But I would get your tickets now, make that commitment right now while you’re remembering what it’s like to be there, or while you’re going through these recaps and realizing you missed it. Make that commitment now to go and do it, get your ticket at funnelhackinglive.com. Alright, with that said, we’re going to queue up the theme song and I’m going to talk you guys through what happened with day number four.  Alright, so day number 4. This is the day where my stress starts going down. My stress is the biggest because obviously I love giving the presentations, it’s so much fun, but the stressful one’s when I sell. And we only sell two things at Funnel Hacking Live, number one, well we sold the Traffic Secrets Software, but we sold it for free, so that was fun. And then we have the donation for charity, so there’s the charity then. We try to get people to upgrade to Actionetics MD, so just, half the room already has it, so they get the stuff for free anyway. Then the other one is the coaching program. It’s interesting, I used to go to events back in the day and every speaker would sell something and you get 50 pitches. Same thing at 10x, every speaker sold something just like that. Where here it’s like, there really is only one sell, all the other ones are just like little. But the real sell is the coaching program and it’s something I believe so much in and I’ve spent so much time and energy and money to make it amazing. And it’s like, I think I get nervous because I know if people go through this they’re going to be successful, but how do I convince them of that? So I try to do everything in my power to give a presentation and make an offer that’s so irresistible that people will take me up on it. And it’s interesting, I did this whole part of my presentation during the secrets of the two comma club presentation I did yesterday. I talked about the difference between being resourceful and having resources. I told the story of Kenneth Cole. And I may have told you guys the story before, but it’s worth repeating. But Kenneth Cole, you guys know Kenneth Cole, the shoe company right. When he was starting this shoe company, I think he was in New York and there was a big shoe show happening, shoe show, is that how you say it? Shoe trade show was happening so he went to go get a booth and they told him the cost of the booth and he couldn’t afford it. And most people would have stopped right there, and this is the lesson I want you guys to understand, most people would have stopped right there. But Kenneth Cole said, “I don’t have the resources, I need to be resourceful.” So he said, “How about instead of buying a booth I rented a truck and put it out in front of the venue, and I have all my shoes in there and then everyone will see it as I’m coming through. That’s a good idea.” So he goes to rent a truck, like a big, huge truck, and the truck people are like, “They’re not going to let you park it there.” and he’s like, “Well why not.” And they’re like, “Well you have to have a permit to be able to park a truck in front of a big building during a convention.” And he’s like, “Oh.” And again, most people would have stopped there. Like, I don’t have the resources to get a permit. But instead he was like, “How do I do that.” And he ran over to the state, the government and said, “Hey I need to get a permit to park my van in front of this shoe show.” Shoe show is a tongue twister. Anyway, they’re like, “Dude, we’re not giving you a permit.” He’s like, “Why not?” and they’re like, “Only two people get a permit. The first person is construction, if you’re building something you can get a permit. Or second is if you’re making a movie.” And again, most people would have been like, “okay, I guess I’m not building something, I’m not making a movie. I’m done.” But Kenneth Cole again, he didn’t have the resources so he had to be resourceful. So he went back and went to the city, filed a business license and called his company name, Kenneth Cole Productions, went across to stores like Kinko’s or whatever, Fedex, Kinko’s and got business cards printed that said Kenneth Cole productions, walked back to the place where he gets a permit and said, “Hey, my name is Kenneth Cole, I’m filing a permit, I’m making a movie called the Making Of A Shoe, and I need this permit for my truck.” And they granted him the permit, he got the truck, parked the truck in front of the shoe show, didn’t have money for an actual video camera, so he had a bunch of people with camera’s with no tape in it, walking around pretend filming him. And it had the big thing like, “We’re making a movie called the Birth of a Shoe Company.” And every single person that went to the shoe show that weekend, the trade show, walked past his truck out front and that’s how he built his huge company, which is a huge company to this day. And in fact, to this day his company is still called Kenneth Cole Productions and he said the reason why is because it’s a tribute in his ability to focus on being resourceful as opposed to having resources. So I understand that signing up for a coaching program it’s, “I don’t have the resources, I don’t have the money.” Yet, I’ve tried to like, how do I break that belief? Because I didn’t have money when I joined my coaching programs, most people don’t. But that’s also the reason why I had success because I didn’t have the money. So I went into debt, and now I had this pressure, I had these things, I had to figure things out. It forced me to do things. So I tell those stories in a way to break false beliefs. And a lot of people, that breaks false beliefs, but some people for some reason they don’t listen, they don’t hear with the right ears and they don’t sign up. In my mind I’m like, “Of the 4500 people we should have had 4000 that joined the program, it just makes logical sense. Why wouldn’t you at this point?” But obviously that doesn’t happen ever. So that’s kind of why I stressed out over day three. So day number four I have less stress because I’ve done my sales pitch, it’s done, people that are in are in and I can kind of relax. So we moved into Saturday. And what’s interesting, Saturday starts happening and the very first person to speak is Garrett White and the presentation was going to be called the Gap, right. There’s a gap between where you are and where you want to go and how you fill that up. And he started doing his presentation and in true Garrett White fashion, he is so intense. I love him, and he swears a lot and I don’t swear, I’m not a big fan of swearing, but I believe in him and I believe in his mission. I think he does it with a pure heart even if the words aren’t pure, if that makes sense. Anyway, it’s funny because my mom was there and she like, I was like, “Mom, do not come to this session, whatever you do.” And I warned everyone, “If you’re offended by the f-word please don’t come.” In fact, I even tried to bribe Garrett. I told him I’d wear a custom suit to his next event if he didn’t drop the f-word. He lasted like a minute thirty. And then he’s like, “Ah, fine Russell. You can wear shorts if you want. I can’t not swear.” But he did his presentation and halfway through the presentation this kid comes up named Andy. Andy comes up and just like, “I need to talk to everyone.” Or something, I don’t know the whole situation. And Garrett could have just had him sit back down, but instead he’s like, he took this moment and he’s like okay. And he brings this kid up. You can tell the kid’s in pain. You can tell he’s not happy where he’s at. He wants to grow and whatever. But in his mind he’s saying, “I don’t have the resources to do this thing.” So Garrett brings him onstage and has him do burpee’s and push-ups and I don’t even know what he’s doing. Trying to break this guys steam I think and try to, I’m sure there’s a purpose behind it all. He basically asks him flat out, “Okay, what’s your goal?” and the guy’s goal, “Two Comma Club, I want to be onstage next year.” And he’s like, “Cool, did you sign up for the coaching program?” “No.” and he’s like, “Then that’s not your goal. It’s a fantasy. You’re dreaming about it but you’re not willing to put in the effort.” The guy’s like, ‘Well I don’t have the resources. I don’t have the money to do it.” And Garrett laughed, he said, “You know 10 years ago I was in a room just like this and I couldn’t do it either. In fact, my wife was going to leave me if I did it. But I knew I had to because these guys had given me a window, I believed in myself, so I had to be resourceful and I figured it out, and it changed everything for me.” And Garrett was kind of going through the story and kind of pushing him a little bit, you know, “If your honest kid, you need to make a commitment. If the commitment is no, I’m not going to do it, that’s fine. But if you say, my commitment is I’m going to commit to myself, I’m going to be onstage and get a Two Comma Club award, it means the next 12 months you’re going to make a million bucks. If you know you’re gonna make, if you are committing to yourself to make that your goal, you’re going to make a million bucks in the next 12 months, what’s 2,500 bucks a month for a coaching program. It’s nothing. “So if you honestly, if you believe in yourself, that you committed to yourself this commitment, then you should go do it.” And it’s funny because I didn’t tell Garrett to sell for me. He wasn’t planning on selling for me. He doesn’t get a penny for it. But he’s helping this guy through this decision, which is in proxy of everyone else sitting here thinking, if you honestly believe in yourself, and you honestly believe, believe in it.  This doesn’t cost you any money ever right. It only costs you money if you don’t believe in yourself. “I’m not actually going to do it. I’m going to say I’m going to do it, but it’s a fantasy. I know I’m not going to put the work in, I know I’m not going to do what it takes to make it successful.”Then yeah, it’s a lot of money. But if you do, 2500 dollars out of a million is not a lot of money. But it is if you don’t believe in yourself, if you’re not actually committing and covenanting to do that thing. So Garrett kind of just pushed him a little bit and finally the kid makes this commitment, and I say kid, he’s 25 years old. He said, “Alright, I’m going to do it.” And he marches to the back and he signs up. And anyway, it’s interesting. And Garrett does the rest of his presentation and he ends up getting 80 people come on stage and Garrett closes 80 more people on the coaching, based on the same concept. “Just look, you guys. If you honestly believe you’re going to do this, don’t make this a fantasy, make it a real thing.” Then after, and I’m going to come back to, well, it’s interesting because there were a lot of people who were like freaking out for this guy, for Andy. And we got people on social media who were like blowing up like, “Oh, what’s happening at Funnel Hacking Live, they’re hard selling people.” And it was weird because I didn’t know what to believe. In fact, for the last week I’ve been contemplating this. It’s been interesting, and I watched in the last week, Andy, because he made that commitment, he launched his first funnel yesterday. Literally, within 7 days of Funnel Hacking Live he launched his first funnel. And I have no idea how it’s doing, it’s probably not going to be the biggest home run in the world, but he launched it. When he didn’t have the resources, he called his dad who does have resources. His dad helped fund the thing and now he’s building a webinar for his dad’s business and he’s going to make money there. He shifted from, “I don’t have the resources, the thing that most people come back to. I need to be resourceful if I honestly believe in myself. If I’m not making a fantasy, but I’m making an actual goal and I believe I’m going to hit it, then I need to put my money where my mouth is.” And I’m watching and I’m seeing Andy Facebook live everyday and do these things, and how grateful he is that Garrett pushed him, and how grateful he was. Then on the flip side I had other people, in the facebook group and other places who were so mad about it. Like “you shouldn’t be doing that to people. You shouldn’t be doing these things.” Yet, the person it happened to was so grateful for the experience because it got them off their butt. It got them to shift, it did the thing it needed to do. And it’s just interesting and kind of in reflection for the last week, it’s interesting because I didn’t, you guys see how I sell, I don’t sell hard like that. I tell stories to break false beliefs, but what Garrett did was amazing and got so many people to shift. And I know, I guarantee, I guarantee, in fact, if I was a betting man I’d bet on this. I bet there will be at least a dozen if not more people, who come onstage next year and get Two Comma Club award because Garrett did, made that shift. I bet you money Andy’s going to hit it too. Anyway, we will see. But I’m pretty sure it’s going to happen. Anyway, I’m putting that out there because it’s interesting. It made some people uncomfortable, and that’s why they were voicing their opinion, which is totally cool. I understand that. And it was, again, it wasn’t my plan to prepare it, or knew it was happening. Garrett wasn’t into it happening, it was just in the heat of the moment, when you’re coaching somebody through something, it comes out as just, it was interesting. But I’m grateful that Garrett did it. I know Andy’s grateful that he did. And I think that so many people who took that leap of faith because of that presentation. It was fascinating. Then after that, then Myron Golden got back up and Myron shared some cool stories like he always does. Just trying to give people one last push, like, “Okay, this is your last chance.” And we talked for 30 minutes and we said, “Okay, 30 minute countdown clock. This is your last chance to join Two Comma Club X and then it’s done. And then as soon as Brendon Burchard steps onstage this offer is gone, it’s off the table and it’s over.” So we did that, had a 30 minute break, a whole bunch more people signed up and we launched year two of the Two Comma Club x coaching program, which I’m really excited for. We’ve got, I don’t know the exact numbers, 550 people signed up at the event, plus an additional about 300 from last year who are in for round two, which is going to be fun. So it’s going to be an amazing program, about 800 people or so in the program. And this year, it’s funny because we’ve got a huge coaching infrastructure built in. I wish you guys could see behind the scenes of what’s happening, it’s amazing. So if we decide to ever open this up during the year, you guys should jump in. But right now we only sell it at events, so we’ll see what happens in the future. But that was awesome. Then after the break we came back and Brendon Burchard came up and did his High Performance Academy presentation. Talked about six habits of high performers and it was amazing.  I love Brendon, I’ve known him for more than a decade, but I’ve never actually seen him speak like that. I was front row, and his keynote presentation, the one he loves. You could tell the energy of the room was amazing because he was jumping around like crazy. It was awesome. People laughed, they cried, it was so good. I appreciate Brendon for coming. And again, I didn’t pay him a penny. He flew on his own dime to come out here and to share with the group because he cares and he believes, which was awesome. So when he was done, then we broke to lunch because we were way over time at this point. All these things we were supposed to do just way over time. We broke to lunch and all the Two Comma Club, we do a special waffle lunch for them and had a chance to go and say hi to them really quick, and then the coaching program began right there which is exciting. And then during lunch Lindsey Sterling, this is so cool, Lindsey Sterling came and got everything setup for her speakers and her everything and her band showed up. Then we let inner circle in and we let Two Comma Club X come in, everyone came in and then I had a chance to meet Lindsey behind the stage really quickly and then she came out and gave this performance. And I was excited, I thought it was going to be good, but it was so much better than I had hoped for. And I remember I came off after the performance was done and came back stage, and all of the people on the production company were like, “That was insane. We were not expecting that.” It was so good. The performance was good, the lights, the music, the everything was so good. And then she would go to the mic every once in a while and say things, and man, she related to our audience so well. Because she’s a marketer like us, she grew up on YouTube and all these things. And she told these stories that were about, I wish, I don’t even know how to explain it, it was so, so amazing. Then when she got done, she went up really quick and we took a quick break for her to kind of get reset and everything. Then I had a chance to bring her out onstage and I got to interview her. And I asked her some questions and it was crazy because I was leading questions because I wanted the answers, and the answers she gave were not what I was leading towards, but they were better. For example, if you guys know, she was on America’s Got Talent, she made it three or four episodes in and then on the big national TV with like 30 million people watched, she got kicked off. And they told her she was no good. So I was asking her questions about that because I wanted her to say, “you know, but I realized, screw you, I am good. I came back and I built my own thing.” But then her response was o much different and so much better than what I had dreamt of. She’s like, “You know, I went home after that. And I remember watching myself on TV and I had the realization that they were right. I wasn’t good enough. So I kind of went back and for the next 18 months I went back and I learned how to dance better, I learned how to play violin better, I learned how to engage with the audience better. I learned these things and I spent 18 months to get where I could be good enough. Then I went out and started doing these videos and these videos. And on YouTube, the first video, second, third, fourth it wasn’t until I had this one video for Crystalized and it was my best one so far, and I put it out there and for some reason that one blew up and it built my following, millions and millions of views in the first 24 hours.  And at that point I was good enough. I had worked it and I had earned it and I was finally good enough for the success.” And I was getting chills. I just got chills again telling that story. I’m like, oh my gosh. Someone thinks, “No, screw you I am good enough” It’s like, no, no, no, if someone’s telling you you’re not good enough, don’t fight it like that. Do what Lindsey did and be like, “You know what, they’re right. I’m not good enough.” And then get back to work. And then you can become good enough. It was so powerful. That was like one of her messages. There were so many good things. She’s amazing. Anyway, I can’t even thank her enough, it was so much better than I had hoped for. So that was awesome. And she works with OUR as well, she does a bunch of work with them. So we had her stay onstage and we brought up OUR and we gave them a check. And it was funny, I think we raised like, I can’t remember, it was something like 400 and something thousand dollars, which is amazing. Then we matched it, so we’re like at 850,000 dollars. And my mom sold a quilt for like 78,000. So we were like, I don’t know the exact number, but we’re like 100,000 dollars away from a million and I wanted a million so bad. So we had a big, huge check at the back about to write the numbers on it. And it was like, 800 and whatever the number was. And then Todd’s like, “Do you want to just round it up?” I’m like, “What do you mean?” He’s like, “Let’s just round it up. We should give them at least a million bucks.” I’m like, “Are you serious.” He’s like, “Yup” I’m like, “Ah, I love you Todd.” So we rounded it up to a million bucks and we were able to give them a check for a million dollars onstage, which is so cool. Two years in a row, a million bucks each year, which that’s…. and in a side you can say, in the check, like what’s this for? It says “For the lives of 400 children”, because that million dollars will save 400 children from slavery, which is amazing. I’m so grateful for everyone in the Clickfunnels community for donating money and putting it out there. And so many of you guys, I know after Funnel Hacking Live last year went and showed the documentary to people, and people raised money, people ran their own events. Millions of other dollars were produced because of what happened at Funnel Hacking Live, and I’m sure the same thing will happen this year as well. And I just want to thank all, everyone who was there who participated and played full out. But that was Funnel Hacking Live and it ended and it was such an amazing experience. And I’m grateful for my team, for all the people. So many people put in so much effort, and time, and energy into it. I’m grateful for everyone who donated, who paid money to come and took time away from work and family to be there. I don’t take that lightly and I try to serve at the highest level possible and I feel like this event did that. I think it changed people’s lives and there was so much tactical amazing stuff. So much strategy and just aha’s. The networking, the entertainment, I don’t know what else I could do to make it better and I’m nervous for next year. But we will do our best to make it better for next year. But if you didn’t come, I promise you it will be worth your time. Someone posted on Facebook the other day, I saw it in my newsfeed, it said, “Russell Brunson promised Funnel Hacking Live would change lives. Did it change yours? My answer in the comments.” I’m like, oh crap. Someone who just like had a bad experience or something. And I read it and it starts saying, “Russell told me it was going to change my life. I wasn’t going to go, and I finally decided to go and I have to tell you it literally changed my life.” And they went and told the whole experience of what happened, who they met, and how it transformed stuff. And I was like, oh my gosh. How cool is that? And everyone else started posting, “Yes, it changed my life.” “Yes it did.” “Yes it did.” It was just like, ah, that’s the feeling you want after all the work and effort goes into it. So I appreciate all you guys who sacrificed your time and your money to come to the event. I’m grateful for those who signed up for Two Comma Club X coaching. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve you guys over the next 12 months. I will not let you down, our team will not let you down. We’re here for you, care for you, we love you. I want as many of you guys as possible onstage next year. And for those who haven’t had a chance to come yet, or just listening in and hoping to someday be able to come and start being part of this game, keep working towards it. Go get your tickets right now. Commit to next year and start working towards it and be part of this community. This community is second to none. I’ve never seen something like this in our industry ever. It’s a whole bunch of people who care, a whole bunch of people who are trying to change the world their own little ways. And if you want to tap into that, Funnel Hacking Live is the place to do it. So with that said, I’m going to bounce, I’m going to let you guys go for the day. Appreciate you all, thanks again for listening in. Hopefully you’ll have a chance to come to next year’s event. If you don’t have your tickets yet go to funnelhackinglive.com and I’ll see you guys soon. Bye everybody.

Last week, Michael and I loaded up our little family and drove out to Nashville, Tennessee to attend a marketing conference called Funnel Hacking Live. It was an inspirational week! I spent four days immersed in learning about marking, and defining myself as an entrepreneur. The first couple of days were particularly stressful because it's a lot of work to wrangle four little kids in a small vehicle or hotel room for such a long time. Top that with knowing I would be spending twelve- to thirteen-hour days at the conference, and the tension was thick. Those hotel rooms are not sound-proof, and there were zero kids channels on the TV. We, or I should say Michael had to get pretty creative. He did. Michael and the kids ended up having a great time touring the city, and I had a great time focusing on what I felt like I needed to learn. I love going to these kinds of events where you can network with people, learn new skills, and cultivate empowering beliefs. This event was no exception. It all that, plus it felt like I was at a big party the whole time! The MC of the event kept the crowd going. The speakers were enthusiastic and insightful. They brought O.U.R. (Operation Underground Railroad, rescuing children from sex trafficking) out to talk about what they're accomplishing (Click Funnels supports their cause and has donations built into their business model). They showed all the software improvements they are developing within the company. They brought out former cast members of Studio C (now JK! Studios). They had a raffle and gave away all kinds of swag (I picked up three more t-shirts for free!). They concluded the week with an outstanding concert from Lindsey Sterling! But, after all the fun and excitement, I learned a whole lot about how to shape my beliefs around what success looks like for me and my family. So this episode is a rundown of the best-practices I got out of how to be innovative and effective around goals and personal development. Of course, after we got home, I physically crashed. I got a nasty cold and didn't have much of a voice. But, I didn't want the week to pass without posting something, so here it is, even if it is late! I will be back to regularly scheduled programming next week with an amazing guest!  Join the Family Success Toolkit Free Membership http://homeandfamilyculture.com

But everything changed for me when I discovered ONE thing during my business journey. Listen to how I handled and overcame feeling like I was in “The Loneliest Job In The World”. On today’s episode Russell talks about why being an entrepreneur is the loneliest job in the world. Here are some of the awesome things you will hear in this episode: Why it’s hard to find support and others like you when you first get into the business of being an entrepreneur. Why going to events made it easier for Russell to connect with others like him, and to help him find vendors to do the things he couldn’t. And why it’s so important to go to Funnel Hacking Live, especially when you are first getting started, and why it’s one of the best events in marketing ever. So listen here to find out why you need to attend events, and how you can get your tickets to Funnel Hacking Live. ---Transcript--- Good morning everybody, this is Russell Brunson and we’re about to start a Marketing Secrets podcast episode. I’m heading to the airport, I almost just got in a wreck, literally live on radio. But here we go, let’s have some fun. Alright everybody, so I’m heading to the airport. I’m about to go do a secret meeting, there’s ten people who got invited to this secret meeting, and I’m not allowed to say anything about it. Is that crazy? I’m the worst secret keeper in the world. People are like, “Hey Russell, can you keep a secret?” No, why would you tell me? I’ve written two books that literally all they are is me sharing every secret I’ve ever heard my whole life. So don’t trust me with secrets, and this is killing me. But I’m going to tell you everything I’m allowed to tell you without getting in trouble. So Brendan Burchard set this whole thing up, I wonder if I’ll get in trouble for that? Crap. Anyway, he messaged a bunch of people and he’s like, “This is a secret meeting of a bunch of titans of different industries, all moving together to plan world domination.” It’s kind of like the illuminati I think, or maybe the Bilderberg group, or I don’t know. Something cool or ninja like that, maybe not. Anyway, so I’m meeting all these cool people and I’m like the internet, software nerd dude who is coming and then there’s all these other legit people who are coming. One of them is like a multibillion dollar a year supplement company, there’s …..I can’t tell, I’m going to be in trouble. Anyway, I’m excited. I’m heading there right now, to the airport to go fly out and hang out with those dudes for a couple of days. And from there I’m flying to Dana Derricks Dream 100 Conference. Dana did me a little favor last year when we were doing the viral video launch, we redid the sales page for Clickfunnels and he flew in and spent a week, actually, he didn’t fly in, he’s scared of planes. He literally found a dude who is like a retired truck driver and paid the guy to drive him to Boise, which is I don’t know, a 30 hour drive. So then he sat in the back of the car and worked on stuff while this dude just drove him, which is insanely cool. Anyway, I love Dana, he learned how to fly since then and he was like, “Oh my gosh, this is way faster and easier.” But a year ago he was scared of airplanes. So he drove to Boise, spent a week with me working on the sales letter, got me in overalls, doing the whole goat dance thing, and it was funny. And in exchange he wanted me to speak at his event this year, which is now next week. So I’m flying out there, talking about some cool things. His whole thing is about the Dream 100, which is exciting. And I’ve been working on the Traffic Secrets book which is coming out, and there’s a whole foundational layer of Dream 100 and how it ties into all the different marketing channels, and I’m going to be sharing that for the first time, live onstage, which I’m excited for. It’s kind of me testing out the concepts from the book and getting people’s feedback for the first time. So it’ll be fun. I’m looking forward to that. So that’s what’s happening with me now, and in that vein, I want to talk about something interesting. I’m heading to this event, why do I still do events? Why do I still go to events? Why do I run events? And the reason why is because my life was changed by going to live events. So I was an internet nerd who sat behind my computer all day thinking I was the stuff, right. I don’t about you, but entrepreneurship is the loneliest job in the world, especially when you’re first getting started because nobody believes in you, depending on who you are. But most of the time spouses don’t believe in you, friends don’t believe, your coworkers. I literally was building my first internet company, I was also painting at a paint place during the summer breaks. And the owner of the paint company was a friend. And I remember I would tell him all the stuff I’m learning about and I was so excited. And at first it was a cool thing, and then I believed it was going to work, so I would talk about my dreams and my visions and what I was trying to create and do, and it’s funny because you think that people would be supportive of that and be like, “Oh, that’s amazing. You should do that.” But guess what? They’re typically not. It got to the point where I would come into work and the owner of that company and other people would start teasing me. They’d be like, “Hey Russell, why are you hear today? I thought you were going to be retired by now. I thought you were going to be a millionaire. Why are you here?” All sorts of stuff like that. My family, my brother who is editing this and his wife who is transcribing this, will laugh at this part. When I was a kid growing up I used to order all the junk mail, and I would read all the junk mail of people out there making money, and I was like, “This is the greatest thing in the world.” And I would always tell everyone, “I’m going to be a millionaire. I’m going to be a millionaire so soon.” And my brothers and sister and everyone would tease me, “Oh Russell, are you a millionaire yet? Are you a millionaire yet?” and I’m like, “No, I’m still working on it. I’m 13, give me some time.” But it’s just funny because you expect initially that everyone is going to be all pumped for you, but you find out that at first they’re not. They’re skeptical, and I think a lot of times it’s because they love you and they care about you and they don’t want you to get hurt, because it’s a scary road. So typically people aren’t like, “Sweet, you should chase these entrepreneurial dreams.” They’re more like, “Dude, you should just do what everyone does, and do the normal path.” They have good intentions, but that’s typically what happens. So entrepreneurship at first is a very, very lonely road. So for me, I still remember I was doing my thing, behind my computer. And back then, this is pre-Facebook, it was hard, there were some forums that you could talk to people. But it was still really, really lonely. I didn’t have anyone to talk about, I was just reading and learning and I’d explain it to my wife and she would look at me and be like, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I’m like, “Ahh.” I’d tell other people and they’re like, “That sounds awesome.” But it was just tough. So I remember the very first event I ever went to, I went there and a couple of amazing things happened. First off, I went there and got to the room and I think there was about 4 or 500 people in this room. And I got there and instantly I was just like, “Oh my gosh, there are other people on this planet that think like me. These are my people.” I remember thinking that. I remember sitting in the hallways talking to people and staying up late at night in the hotel rooms until 3 or 4 in the morning, and I was like, “I can’t believe I’m having these discussions with other people who actually care about the same thing I’m talking about.” And we’d geek out on it, talk about the ups and the downs and the struggles and ideas and concepts. It was like plugging in life in my body as I was going through this process. I found my tribe of people and I finally had these connections. And when I left the event it was amazing because I had friends. I had people I could call on the phone and skype and talk about, and it was cool. So that was the first thing, I found my people. Number two is I started finding vendors. I didn’t know where to find people to do all these different things. And I’m in this room with, at the time 500 or so people and I’m meeting people. And some guys like, “Yeah, I do whatever.” And I’m like, “What? I need that.” And then someone’s like, “I do this, I do this.” And I built out my rolodex of people that are able to help me in all the different aspects. And it dramatically sped up my process. And what was cool is because I met them face to face, it wasn’t like I went to their website and I contacted them through a contact form and they didn’t know who I was. It was like, “Hey, remember the other day when we were hanging out?” It was funny for me, they always went to the bar afterwards and I’m like the clean cut Mormon kid who’s like, “I don’t know what to do at a bar.” So I’d go to the bar with them, because I wanted to keep talking with everybody. And it was funny because they’re all drinking and the first time I ordered a water, and again I know nothing about drinking. And the guy came back and is like, “Hey do you need another scotch?” and I’m like, “I don’t even know what that means.” Or vodka, I don’t even know, whatever the drinks are. And I was like, “Oh my gosh, people here think I’m drinking. This is awkward. I don’t want people to think I’m drinking.” Because again, I’m the clean cut Mormon kid. So I was like, I started ordering milk at the bars. It’s so funny. They’d bring me out this big old cup of milk because I was like, “I don’t want people to think I’m drinking.” And so I had this big cup of milk and people would come to me like, “What are you drinking?” I’m like, “Milk.” They’re like, “what?” I’m like, “Well I’m Mormon, so I don’t drink.” And they’re like, “Why would you order milk?” I’m like, “Because I don’t want people thinking I’m drinking.” So I’d have this connection point though. So I’d call people up and be like, “Hey, this is Russell.” They’re like, “Russell?” and I’m like, “yeah, I’m the dude who was drinking milk with you at the bar.” They’re like, “Oh yeah, you’re the Mormon guy.” I’m like, “Yes, I am.” And we had instant connection and rapport so it was easy to start doing deals because they had that connection point, because I had connected with people and met them. So that was the next huge, huge benefit. Number one is I found my people. I had friends now who I could communicate with about this thing I was geeking out about. I had relationships. Number two was I was able to meet with vendors and find all the different pieces that I needed to help grow my company.  Number three is I had a chance to go to an event and actually learn from people, which was really, really cool. So for me it’s like, it was interesting because I would focus on one thing, but the event promoters had brought in different speakers and different topics and it helped round me out and I started to understand. I remember I didn’t know what copywriting was and at my very first event there was this dude, Michael Fortin, who is a great copywriter, talking about copy and conversion. And I’m like, “What? I didn’t even know that was a thing. Who knew I needed a headline? I didn’t.” I remember him talking about conversion and it was funny, I had never split test….I didn’t even know what split testing was at the time. But he was showing all these different split tests like, “I did a red headline versus a blue headline and this is what happened. And I did this versus that….” And I was like, oh my gosh. And I’m taking notes and all the sudden, I went home and I was able to take the tests that he’d figured out and I just modeled it. I remember one of his tests was a red headline out converts a blue headline. I was like, are you serious? So I went back to my little funnels back at the time, I wrote a headline and made it red, and sure enough, guess what? It increased conversions. And I gave myself a raise and I was like, this is amazing. So I started learning these amazing things, coming back and implementing back into my little funnels I had at the time. We didn’t call them funnels back then, we called them mini sites. So I went back and edited all my mini sites. Oh crap, this happens when I’m not paying attention. I’m late to the airport already, I’m podcasting, oh dang, and the freeway is completely jam packed. Alright guys, you are going to be part of a live experience to see if Russell can make it to the airport in time to go to his top secret meeting with the Blilderberg, or the Illuminati. Anyway, we’ll podcast the whole process, because if I don’t make it then we’ll just keep going. It’ll be fun. Alright so anyway, where did I leave off? I met friends, met connections, started learning really cool things in different areas I wouldn’t have ever assumed and thought, brought new concepts and strategies to my mind. Number four amazing thing that happened, and this event is different than Funnel Hacking Live, this event was a multi-speaker event where every speaker spoke and then they sold. This was the first time I had ever seen something like that. Some of you guys have heard me tell this story before about how I got into becoming a public speaker, but I was a shy awkward, nerdy kid who never talked to anyone ever, super introverted. Still am. Anyway, so I’m sitting there at the first event, the first speaker gets up and talks for 90 minutes, I still remember it was Mike Lipman, if you guys don’t know who Mike Lipman is, the dude’s awesome and I still remember to this day, that he taught this concept about amateurs focus on the front end. And I was like, what? And he’s like, “Yeah, these cd’s we sell, it costs me $30 to sell a cd. But guess why I’m winning?” I’m like, “Why?” and he’s like, “Because amateurs focus on the front end. I have this back end thing.” And he started talking about, “Everyone who buys the cd, I call them on the phone and sell them coaching.” I was like, “What?” My whole world just shattered. And he was telling this whole thing and I was like amateurs focus on the front end, my whole business up to this point I’d been focusing on the front end. I don’t want to be an amateur, I want to be a professional. And he’s like, “Professionals need to go in the hole on the front end so they can make their profits on the back end.” And it was like, boom, paradigm shift. And at the end of it he sold a program where he’s like, “Hey, I’ll teach you guys how to do this whole thing I’m doing. Free plus shipping cds and then calling them on the phone and selling them coaching.” And he sold it for like $2 grand and I watched as people in the room started jumping up and running to the back of the room. And I was doing the math, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, that dude just made $65,000 in an hour. I was like, I have never even experienced something that….that dude made more money in an hour than I’d made in the entire last year. And the next guy gets up and he starts speaking about something and I get these epiphany’s and aha’s and he sells something and I’m doing the math, and that guy sold like a $5000 thing. I’m like, 5, 10, 15, 20….that guy made $100 grand, and my whole world, I saw how people were selling it. It’s funny to me now days when people are like, “I went to an event and somebody sold and I was all upset.” And I’m like, “What event was it?” and they’re like, “It’s a marketing and selling event.” And I’m like, “So you went to a marketing and selling event, you had a chance to experience somebody sell something and you got upset about it?” At the 10x event this year, it’s funny because I, some of you guys have heard this story, I went to the event, there were 9 thousand people and I sold 3.2 million dollars in products in 90 minutes. And it’s funny, this event was there to teach people how to sell and I had a couple of people I saw in Facebook afterwards, “I went to the 10x event, but Russell’s presentation was good but then he sold something at the end.” I’m like, “Dude, you paid to learn how to sell and you watched somebody orchestrate a 3.2 million dollar hour. That was worth more than the price of admission. You should be studying and dissecting and diagramming everything I did.” So for me, I’m watching each speaker get up on stage back here. And I’m watching it, and it was seeing behind the scenes of everything I’d dreamt about doing. And that’s how I went on this whole path of I have to learn how to sell from stage and doing these closing techniques and how to tell stories. I learned watching people as well. For those that came to last year’s Funnel Hacking Live, some of you may or may not know this, we only sell one thing at Funnel Hacking Live. So it’s not a multi-day everyone’s pitching and selling, there’s only one thing for sell. And the only thing we sell is the actual Two Comma Club X coaching. We only open it once a year, it’s at the event, it’s the only way to buy it, at the event. So at last year’s event, for those who were there, I did $12 million in sales at the event. So it’s like, if you want to learn how to sell coaching or consulting or anything like that, if you watch the process we orchestrate of the thing, that alone is worth the price of admission times 100. So at the event I learned how to sell. I started watching this thing, I started learning how to break down presentations. So that was another unintended benefit that I had. And it went on and on and on, and the event literally changed my life. So why am I sharing this with you guys? A couple of reasons, one is I’m going to an event this weekend, and I go because I know that transformation happens at events, faster than anywhere else. So I love going to events because I love seeing people have that transformation. If I wasn’t married and didn’t have kids, I would be going to three or four events a week. That’s how important and how impactful they are, both for me as an attendee but also as a speaker. I can have more impact with someone there face to face in a room, than I could ever in a million years on a podcast or webinar, or any virtual means. So that’s a big part, and number is we have Funnel Hacking Live coming up, and this year is going to be amazing. The first year we did it, we had about 600 people come, the second year was 1200, third year was 1300, we sold out in a month. So I was like, we should probably make it a bit bigger. Last year we had about 3000ish, and this year we’re going to have about 4500. We’ve already sold almost 2000 tickets, so there’s not going to be a lot more. But what’s interesting to me, as of today we have 65000 active Clickfunnels members, we have less than 5000 tickets, so it’s like less than 5%, is that the math? I don’t know, whatever the math is, it’s like 5% of all active Clickfunnel members will have a chance to come to it. Yet, it’s a thing that of all the things we do, it’ll have the biggest impact on somebody’s business and on somebody’s life. It’s interesting, and we were talking about this yesterday in the office, we were looking at the Two Comma Club wall. And if you’ve ever seen my pictures, we’ve got the entire bathroom hallway is wallpapered in Two Comma Club awards, now the kitchen is completely wallpapered, there’s so many people that have now hit the Two Comma Club, it’s something like, I don’t 3 or 400 people now. We have the Two Comma Club X program, which means they made over 10 million dollars, and we have a whole wall of just those. I think we have 25 or so people that have hit that now and it’s going up every single day. We were sitting there talking and as we were reading the names off, we know most of the people. And I’m like, “How do I know all these names?” and the interesting thing behind the majority, not all of them, but the majority of all the people who are on the wall is they come to our events. It’s weird. What are the top 1% doing? I’m a big believer in modeling. I look at what is the top 1% doing, they’re going to live events. So what should I do? I should go to the live event. When you come to Funnel Hacking Live, just to understand it, and again our event’s is not like any other event. Ours is closer to a rock concert than a marketing seminar. I’ve gone to a lot of marketing seminars, it’s hard to stay awake at pretty much all of them. Honestly, I don’t mean to be rude, but it’s insane. I don’t know, marketing for whatever reason, people have not done a good job. And I’ve tried to be the person to make marketing fun again and sexy and exciting and bringing the energy and making it what it should be. This is the most exciting topic on planet earth. We should be freaking out, going crazy, jumping and screaming and dancing because we learned something and two things happened. Number one, we make a crap ton of money. Number two, we change somebody’s life. What is more exciting than that? So I think the last, I don’t know, decade or two decades or since the pony express began and we had direct mail, marketing events have always been boring, and I’m trying to make these things exciting so people like me will actually come to them. Because if there’s entertainment and it’s exciting and fun, it’s awesome. So that’s number one, Funnel Hacking Live is different than anything else you’ll ever experience, I promise you that. The speakers we bring, people are like, “I’ve never heard of these speakers, why not?” and I’m like, “Because I don’t bring the dudes and the ladies who are on every single stage speaking. The people who come to our events are the people who are actually doing it. They’re Clickfunnels members, they’re our Two Comma Club winners. They’re people who are doing unique, interesting things that you would never have a chance to see unless you had the bird’s eye view like I do. I’m watching everybody, I’m watching 65000 members like, ‘What are the funnels that are interesting, that are different?” So I’m able to bring those out, so those are the speakers you’re going to hear from. People in different markets and different industries who are doing the most fascinating things that you can look at and you can learn and then bring it back to your specific business. So the learning is second to none because again, most of these people aren’t polished stage presenters, these are people who are your peers, people who last year were sitting in the audience who are now looking at you. For example, I’m excited for all our presentations, one that I’m really excited for, some of you guys know Jamie Cross, Jamie Cross came to Funnel Hacking Live two years ago at the bottom of her journey, struggling financially. She came to Funnel Hacking Live, she had a mission, she had literally a revelation, “I need to start this soap company.” So she starts this natural soap company. She hears a voice in her head saying “You need to do this thing.” And she’s going and she’s doing it and she’s moving forward, but she doesn’t know what to do. She comes to this thing, and she’s out of money and I’m talking about perfect webinars and she’s like, “I’m selling soap, I can’t do webinars for soap. But I was led to come to this thing, so I’m going to do a perfect webinar for my soap.” And she does a webinar and the first one bombs, the second one bombs, the third one bombs, the fourth….she keeps trying and trying and trying and she’s like, “This doesn’t make any sense.” I get tons of people who are like, “Russell, I read Expert Secrets, but I’m selling physical products. It doesn’t make sense.” But she didn’t say, “This won’t work for me.” She said, “How can this work for me? How can this work for me?” And she kept doing the webinar, doing it and doing it, and she kept tweaking it and modifying it, until eventually she came to..she made a five minute webinar, following the exact same process in the perfect webinar, it’s insane. She did a facebook live with this 5 minute webinar, selling a physical product, soap, natural soap that she creates in her basement (well she used to, now she’s big time as it’s been growing really fast) but she did it and finally boom, one of the webinars she did hit. It’s a five minute perfect webinar, selling soap, and it hit. Within like 6 weeks it did $130,000 and it was like boom, off to the races. It’s funny, after that she joined the inner circle, she was all in and what’s crazy, this is the coolest thing in the world, the next year’s Funnel Hacking Live, so exactly a year later, she’s at Funnel Hacking Live, I believe, if I remember this story right, I think it was her anniversary. It’s either her anniversary or her birthday, I think it was anniversary and it was the day at Funnel Hacking Live when we were delivering Two Comma Club awards on stage to everybody, and that morning she came in and she’s like, “We hit, we crossed Two Comma Club, today we literally passed it. It’s our anniversary and it’s this huge thing.” I was like, “Are you serious?” And she’s like, “Yeah, but it’s probably too late to get the award.” I’m like, “Are you freaking kidding me? This is the best time on earth to get the award.” So she went and submitted all the financial numbers, we found it and it was like, oh my gosh she literally hit it to the day that the Two Comma Club awards were being handed out. So we had the chance to have her and her husband onstage and give them this award onstage. So I’m excited because again, two years ago she was an attendee, last year literally at the event during the Two Comma Club awards she earned Two Comma Club, and this year she’s going to be showing, “Hey if you’re selling physical products, here’s my 5 minute perfect webinar.” And she’s going to talk about it, and then she’s literally going to do her 5 minute webinar onstage. How cool is that? And you guys are going to see it. Here’s somebody who did a thousand perfect webinars for physical products to crack the code on how it actually worked, and we’re going to have her explain the concepts behind it, how it worked, what her funnel looks like, and then she’s actually going to do it live for you and you will see her do the webinar. And if you’re selling any product, physical product, digital product, anything, how valuable is that? You’re not going to get that anywhere else on planet earth, and she’s going to come and share it. So for me, I have this bird’s eye view of what’s the fascinating, interesting things that are happening inside our community and we bring those people to share what they’re doing. So that’s what’s going to happen at Funnel Hacking Live, you’re going to learn from these people that are, I can’t even tell you how excited I am for the people that are coming. So that’s number 1 or 2. After that, what’s going to be really, really cool is we’ll have, we’re launching our new Funnel Rolodex, some of you guys already know about that. If you are a service provider and you want to be in our rolodex go to funnelrolodex.com, we’re building out the thing right now, but we’re having literally a network meet up with everyone in the Funnel Rolodex. If you’re like, “I just don’t know how to write copy or do my images or my design. I don’t know how to build a funnel.” All the different sticking points you’re stuck with, cool come with those sticking points and we’ll introduce you to every single person in our community that can do those things for you. It’s like here are the top ten best copywriters, hire any of them. Here’s the best designers, the best programmers, the best funnel builders. They’re all going to be there and you can come and just build your network, build your own rolodex of people that are going to build your funnels for you. So all those excuses you’ve had in the past, why you couldn’t make it work, they’re obliterated. We just exploded them by handing you my entire rolodex of providers you can use, which is awesome. You’re going to be inspired, you’r egoing to have the chance to watch the new OUR film. Last year we showed an OUR film and then we raised over a million dollars for OUR while we were sitting there in the room. But we have the second documentary, it’s going to be live and we’ll have a chance to view that with you guys at the event. I promise you that will shift your perspective, it will shift your mission, it will shift your life work. That’s going to be amazing. I’m going to be sharing stuff I’ve never shared before. The new things we’re doing, the new up and coming things. We’re going to be releasing new features. Last year at Funnel Hacking Live we gave features to a whole bunch of people that are still not live in the app for anybody else. So you get features about 6 months ahead of time before everybody else does, which is exciting. We will sell one thing, so “Oh Russell, is it going to be a pitch fest?” No. But I am going to sell one thing, I’m going to sell the Two Comma Club X program. You’ll have a chance to see how did Russell sell this? Let’s see Russell do a perfect webinar live, and let’s see what happens. Does he get a table rush? Does he bomb? What happens, what doesn’t happen? You’ll have a chance to see that. If you want to get in on our high end coaching program and be a part of the Two Comma Club X program, the only way to do that is to actually, this is the doorway that you have to go through to be able to come. We don’t allow people any other time throughout the year, except for through this door. So you’ll see those things. We’ve got so many cool things. Lindsey Sterling, if you guys know Lindsey Sterling, she was someone on America’s Got Talent, she made it two or three rounds in and the judges were like, “You don’t have enough talent, you’re never going to make it.” She’s a dancing violinist. She’s an artist who creates and does these unique things, but what she does is so different that no one’s ever heard of it. No one’s ever heard of a dancing violinist on America’s Got Talent, that after a little while they’re like, “You’re just not going to make it. Sorry.” And they kicked her off. And instead of being all bummed, she’s like, “You know what, I’ve got something unique here, I’m going to do something.” So she went out there just like any of us and started doing what? Building her following, building her tribe. She had a YouTube channel, she stared doing music videos, started doing some stuff and very quickly she built a following of millions of people and now she’s one of the highest sought after artists in the world, doing dancing violinist. It’s insanely cool. She also has a part with OUR, so there’s this really cool tie-in. So we have Lindsey Sterling coming and I’m going to interview her onstage talking about how she built her whole empire, and then she’s going to do a private concert for us. You are going to see Lindsey perform. And I’ve actually seen her in concert before and it is insane. And the fact that we have her coming is, it’s not just like we could have done a concert and we’ll bring someone in to come sing to you. No, it’s someone who’s, she’s from the same foundation that we’re from. Somebody who is an entrepreneur who has a vision and a dream and was told no, yet she said, “I got told no through all t he typical means, but how do we build this thing online? Let’s leverage YouTube and join ventures and traffic and generation and following and subscribers and let’s do it the grass roots way.” The same way that we’re doing it and she built a huge following and it’s been a huge, successful business. So we’re going to find out how she did that, and then she’s actually going to perform. We’re going to have a chance to see her art up close and personal. I can’t even tell you how excited I am for that, it’s going to be insanely cool. It goes on and on and on, there’s so much stuff you guys. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that because tickets are for sale right now. They won’t be for sale for long. We will sell out, we’ve sold out every year in the past. The first 2000, and I think we only have 2 or 300 left this morning, so this may not be for everyone. But for the first 2000 tickets sold, what we’re doing is, I took all of the last four years of Funnel Hacking Lives, I took all the presentations and I put them on a preloaded MP3 player. And then we got this dude, Tim Castleman who comes to every single Funnel Hacking Live and he takes notes of every presenter, and his notes are insanely good, and then he sells them afterwards for a couple hundred bucks every year. So I went back and acquired the rights back to all the last four years notes, and I put them in this spiral bound binder, it’s 4 or 500 pages of notes of all the speakers. So for the first 2000 people, especially for you guys who love podcasts, because you’re listening right now, it’s literally four years of our events, you listen to the MP3 player, and you have all the notes predone, so you can take notes on his notes of all the last four years. And I want you to do that because I want you to binge listen to it, so when you show up to Funnel Hacking Live, you’re up to speed and you’re able to hit the ground running. So much magic inside the MP3 notes. Literally we had the first binder shipped to our office yesterday and I was holding it. I’m holding this fat, huge binder of all the notes and this MP3 player and I was like, “I would have paid conservatively $5000 for this alone.” And we’re literally giving it to the first 2000 for free. So if you’re coming, you should get that gift because it’s just insane, but there’s just 2000. And we pre-sold it, 755 tickets sold before the event started, and I think we’ve sold like 6 or 700 now, maybe it was 800. Whatever the numbers are, but we only got 2000 physical copies, so the first 2000 people will get that shipped out as well. So if I were you and you’re like, “Dude, I want to listen to 800 hours of funnel building stuff.” Even if you didn’t come to the event, go buy a ticket to the event just for that alone, but you should come to the event because it’ll change your life. Anyway, that’s the process you guys. The last thing I want to mention is so far before the event has actually started, I’ve already spent over a million dollars to put this party on for you. Now if I had a friend who was obsessed with marketing and funnels, and you’re obsessed with it as well, and he spent a million dollars to throw a party and all you gotta do is cover the thousand dollar ticket cost to just come to the party, I would totally come. And that’s not some kind of exaggeration guys. We feed you guys at all the events. I had to prepay for the food. I had to prepay for Lindsey, she doesn’t come free. I had to prepay for the speakers. We’re at a million dollars right now before the event’s even started just to throw this party for you. So if you’re trying to convince your spouse or your company or your friends, be like, “This is the deal. One of my friends, he’s this insane funnel building, marketing nerd and he’s throwing a party. He spent a million dollars on this party so far, I have to go experience it.” If you tell somebody that, if they don’t say, “You definitely should go to that.” They’re crazy, right. So for you guys, hopefully you hear that and you’re like, “Yes, I’m in. I’m going to go to this party because one of my friends, (because I’m your friend), my friend Russell, he spent a million dollars to throw a party, I’m not going to miss it.” We only throw a couple of parties a year, and they’re worth coming to. Last year we had Funnel Hacking Live, which was insane. And then we did, we threw a bubble soccer, we set a Guinness book of world record event and we had people at that one too. We only do one or two parties a year and this is the big show you guys. I promise you that if you come and you play full out and you experience it, this will change your life. I know people throw that around all the time, but I’m not kidding. Ask anyone who came last year, ask anybody who has been to any of our Funnel Hacking Live events, it’s not a typical event. I have friends with events that are happening at a similar time, and their events you will learn good content, I promise you will. But this is more than that. This is a life transforming experience and we do it different. We do it special, we make it worth your time. So that’s it you guys. It’s going to be in Nashville Tennessee this year. I promise that we will put on a show that you will never forget, and it will change the trajectory of your life. It’s funny, when I went to Tony Robbins date with destiny, he said something kind of similar, and I didn’t know if…I was like, “cool, yeah. I’m going to go to an event.” And what’s interesting as he talked about it, he’s like, “This event will make a shift where the focal point where you’re going is just different. What’s going to happen, if you look at a year from now, 5 years from now, 10 years from now, your entire destiny…” You know those things where small hinges swing big doors, this little small hinge will change your trajectory. Then you look at where you end up a year from now, 5 years from now, 10 years from now, a decade from now and beyond, it’ll radically shift the trajectory of your life from this point forward and forever. I promise you that. And if not, let me know, I’ll give you your money back. Because seriously, I’m not in this for the money, hopefully you guys know this at this point. I’m in this because of the transformations. If I can get you to the event and I can give you the same transformational experience that Jamie Cross had, where she’s struggling and a year later she’s got a Two Comma Club award, and now a year later, she’s getting picked up by, her company is growing so fast, and it started with the shift, the date with destiny, the thing that we’re going to be doing at Funnel Hacking Live. So this is your official invitation guys, I want you there, you need to be there, you want to be there. Make it a priority, if you’re getting married that weekend, tell your spouse, “We need to move it. We can get married any weekend, but Funnel Hacking Live only happens this weekend.” If you’ve got some other thing happening, shift it, move it, you need to be here and if you’re not I guarantee you’ll be kicking yourself as you’re watching the four or five thousand people that are  with me experiencing this, as you’re seeing them on social media crying and shifting and changing and growing. And then you’ll see as their businesses explode. I promise you will be kicking yourself forever if you are not there. So this is your official invitation, now is the time. I’m almost to the airport, I went on back roads, which I’m actually going to get there almost an hour early. So we did pretty good. So there you go guys. Funnel Hacking Live tickets are on sale now. Go to funnelhackinglive.com, funnelhackinglive.com, www.funnelhackinglive.com, go get your tickets. Get one for you, get one for your spouse, get one for your community. We have a lot of people right now who are bringing their entire communities. They go ttheir tickets and they go into their Facebook group and they’re like, “Hey guys, we’re all going together.” And they’ll get 10, 15, 20 people all come with them together, that way it makes the experience even more fun. I highly recommend that. Find other people who are just like me, just like you, people who are trying, who are entrepreneurs, you’re friends that have the same vision as you, bring them. If you’ve got a spouse that doesn’t have the vision yet, bring them. I promise you, by then end of day number one your spouse will be so brought into your vision and your mission that moving forward everything else will become easier for you. I know a lot of us who get involved in this, that’s the hardest thing, getting your spouse on board. But if you have them in the room and they see the impact that you can make with your talents and your hobbies, it’ll get them onboard as well. So bring your spouse. If you want to bring your kids, bring your kids. I have actually something really exciting for…anyway, I can’t talk about that yet. I’m so bad at secrets, I’m the worst. Anyway, if you’ve got kids, something cool is coming soon. And just a bunch of other cool things. So please go to funnelhackinglive.com, I promise you guys, you will love it. Get your tickets at funnelhackinglive.com. Alright guys, I’m at the airport, I gotta bounce, appreciate you all. Thanks so much for all you do, for your support, for listening, for subscribing, for sharing, for commenting. Please go leave feedback and comments, I love to hear them and read them. With that said, I will see you at the Funnel Hacking Live, get your tickets now. Bye everybody. Funnelhackinglive.com. See you guys soon.

As soon as we finished recording this episode, Jennifer started crying. In some ways, recording this episode reminded us of a podcast episode we recorded in January 2007 after making a huge, life-changing decision. In that episode we shared with you all the backstory that went into our decision for me (Greg) to leave my career in the IT Industry and go full-time working for the Catholic Church through the Rosary Army and SQPN apostolates. It was a terrifying decision to make, but once we made it and shared it with you, we had a great peace. For several months now (and possibly longer than that), we've been struggling with another decision we knew needed to be made. In this episode, we share that decision with you. Additionally, we talk about our Sam's first experience seeing Lindsey Sterling at his very first concert, and Greg shares the three things he believes are necessary for success in any endeavor, whether it be work, faith, or family. The post Episode #80 – What I Learned At A Lindsey Sterling Concert appeared first on DotComSecrets.com Blog - Weird Marketing Experiments That Increase Traffic, Conversions and Sales.... Last night I saw one of the most powerful uses of the "attractive character" ever. Let me show you how Lindsey Sterling used the "attractive character" to get her audience to fall in love with her. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey, everyone. This is Russell Brunson. I want to welcome you to “Marketing in Your Car”. Hey, everyone. It's early, and I'm heading to the gym, but it's nice, because now that it's summertime, it looks like noon at 6:30 in the morning. I love summer. I'm excited for it. I wanted to share with you guys a really, super awesome experience. Last night, my wife and I had a chance to go to a Lindsey Stirling concert. If you don't know who Lindsey Stirling is yet, go to YouTube and type in “Lindsey Stirling”, and look. There're a couple of really good videos. One of them is of her playing violin and dancing in fire, and one's her running through igloos. It's definitely worth watching. She did a show up here in Boise in a really small venue called “The Knitting Factory”, where only about five or six hundred people could jam into this place. It's standing room only. We went to it, and it was awesome. I've heard a couple of pretty cool things in my life, and this was one of the neatest experiences in entertainment I've ever seen. We were talking about it beforehand, the fact that, if you watch her, she plays the violin while she dances. It's a really cool blend of talents. It's just so different. She was on “America's Got Talent” a bunch of years ago, and Pierce Morgan kicked her off [laughs], and all of this stuff, but she just kept going and going, and now she's got this. I think this is her second tour, and she's done really, really well. What's interesting is, if you look at her, she's really good at playing the violin. I'd say she's an above-average violin player, and she's a good dancer. I wouldn't say she's a great dancer. She's a good dancer, but the fact that she blends those two together makes her unique and different, and literally, the show last night, I felt like was world-class. I can't even say enough about how awesome it was. It was interesting, though. There was one thing I wanted to mention, because I thought it was profound from a marketing standpoint. I don't think many other people really caught it, but as you guys all know, I'm obsessed with this whole marketing thing. I'm looking at what people are doing and why they're doing it and how they're doing it and the reaction from the crowd and stuff like that. The one thing that she did that was super cool – she came out, and she played two or three songs, and everyone was going crazy. Then she needed to take a break really quickly to change outfits. She goes off the stage, and all of the sudden, behind, on the main stage, there's a screen that's got effects and all of these things happening. All of the sudden, this thing pops up, like a little movie, and it says, “I don't think we've been officially introduced yet,” and then it shows Lindsey when she's an infant, and it shows her as a toddler, and it shows her as a two-year-old, and a three-year-old, and then five, and six. It's showing her throughout her whole life – these little video clips of her saying cute little things and doing stuff, and showing her dancing, and showing her practicing violin. All of her experience that got her to this point, basically, you saw in this little three-minute video, and literally, instantly, it went from everyone going there, thinking who she was and seeing her as a fan, all of the sudden, everyone saw her at a different level.

At the event last weekend, I talked a lot about the “attractive character”. I'm sure you guys, if you've been following me for any amount of time, you've heard me talk about that and the importance of it and what it does for your brand and for everything you're doing. I would look at that video, and it was just like, “Man, look at how it changed everybody in this room. We all went from Lindsey Stirling and people who wanted to get out for the night to do an event to people who were fans. She did that all in a little three-minute video. It was not professionally done, but it brought out all of the elements of attractive character, and it was awesome. I'm in the gym, but I want to keep talking about this, so I'm going to pause it, and hopefully when I come back out to the car, my recorder won't have shut off. I'm going to pause this, and I'll be back in forty-five minutes. All right, I am back. That was a hard workout [laughs]. So I'm going to continue where we left off. We were talking about Lindsey's concert. I was talking about the video and the whole attractive character concept, and I've had a lot of people ask me, when we talk about attractive character, “How do you introduce yourself to the audience, and how do you build this relationship?” A lot of times, I think people are confused. They're thinking, “How do I do this on the front end before someone meets me?” You create your own squeeze page or on your landing page or whatever, to get somebody in the door, just like Lindsey. She started the concert. She came out. She did two or three songs, and then after we built that initial rapport, it's like, “Here, let me tell you my story.” Boom – all of the sudden, it sucks you in. For us, usually on your front end or your squeeze page, it's kind of blind, trying to get somebody in the door. Now if they're in the door – “Boom.” Now it's where you introduce your attractive character and everything else. One of the big questions we had at our event last weekend was from one of the girls that were there. She was really cool. She was talking about how, “How come all of the ads are ugly, and they've got red outlines, and you go to these squeeze pages, and there's no branding? They're just ugly. I want to have banners that are brown and yellow and that use my colors,” and all of these things. I was trying to explain it to her, and I said, “That's fine, but there's a time and a place. Your initial goal is to get as many people in your front door as possible. Because of that, you've got to use what works, and what works a lot of times is this cheesy stuff – headlines and color schemes that probably don't match your brand and your fill, but that's okay, because your initial goal is to just get them in the door.” As soon as they come through that front door, for us at least, we immediately transition from a kind of a cold, high-conversion funnel to our branding stuff. That's the way that we look at the way that we drive our traffic. It's a two-step process. Step One, bring them in with whatever converts the best, and then immediately, now that you've got them, they're on your list. Now it's time to start building your brand and your attractive character and all of those things, where now you're getting them to build the relationship. That's how you start getting people to convert better on the back end, because I agree one hundred percent. I think that branding on the back end is important. In fact, I think you'll sell way more. For example, this week we sold four people our $25,000 package, which is awesome. That's by far a record for our high-end coaching things in a week. We sold four of them on the phones. I never could have done that off of a cold campaign, where somebody comes in off of a cold squeeze page, and we call them to sell. No, they come in off of a cold campaign, and then after we've got them, now we share our attractive character, and we share stories, and we share our branding. We do all of this stuff to warm up that relationship, and get us to the point where somebody will come in at a higher level. Anyway, I'm not sure how exactly that relates to Lindsey's concert, but it's just something that's interesting. The other thing, and again, this is me, from the marketing standpoint. I always look at situations and stuff from the perspective of, “What would I be doing different if this was mine. If they hired me as a consultant, what would I do?” One of the big things that I notice – oh, and there's a cop, a motorcycle cop, shooting people with his gun [laughs], and I think I clipped it. All right, I'm back. I was looking at what they're doing, and they had this pre-band come out first, and they were great. They sang and got everybody excited, and then they took thirty minutes to reset the stage and everything. Then Lindsey came out, and again, she was just awesome, from the very first second she walked in. What was interesting is I'm looking at this room. There were maybe five hundred to a thousand people, all jammed. We're all standing-room only, and it's a really cool facility, and literally, there were probably ten of us – my wife and I, and a couple of others who were jumping around, having fun, and everybody else was just kind of standing there looking at her. I think everyone enjoyed the experience, but we were at the equivalent of a rock concert or more, and nobody's moving around. I was thinking a lot about Tony Robbins, when we did his events, and when we were at his event, I'm the kind of person who, I don't like dancing. We didn't dance at our wedding. I just don't do that. At my first Tony Robbins event that I went to, everybody was dancing like crazy, and for the first eight hours, I refused to participate in the shenanigans. I did not want to be dancing, right? [laughs] After a while, he broke me down to where we were all just going crazy, and it was awesome. I remember that next day was the first time I ever met with Tony. We had a little private meeting, and we were talking. We were in Toronto, and he said that it always takes a while to get the audience in a state where they're willing to jump around and dance and go crazy and leave their inhibitions behind, and he said that at some events, that happens really, really fast, and other ones take a long time. He said that Toronto took a long time. It took five or six hours before he felt like he'd broken through and everyone was playing full out. So it took a process, but I was thinking about what Tony does. When you show up at his event, he's got thirty people on stage dancing, and they're trying to get the whole audience dancing, and everything's moving, so as soon as he walks out on stage, the whole audience is already dancing and moving and jumping around, and so it's easy to kind of step into that and start running with it. At Lindsey's thing, everyone was sitting around waiting, waiting, waiting, and then she comes out at level ten, but nobody had been moving and dancing and jumping, just people like my wife and I, who'd been to Tony Robbins. We like jumping around now [laughs]. We're jumping around, and everyone else is sitting there, even after her seventh or eighth performance. It was insane. It was so good, and again, my wife and I are jumping around crazy, and she like comes out to the audience, “You guys are awesome. There's a pack of girls out there going crazy,” and literally, there was probably twenty of us, maybe in the whole audience who were going nuts. I think for her I would look at, before she comes out, getting a bunch of people on stage, getting the audience dancing and moving and coach them and train them and get them to get in the right state that you want so that when you show up, their energy level's at a different level. Two times ago, when we were in New York, we went to “The David Letterman Show”, and what was really interesting was the fact that before the show, we had someone who took our entire audience and coached us through the entire process and coached us through what we'd need to do. –“This is what David needs. He needs you laughing. He needs you moving. He needs your energy,” and they'd coach us through it, and when we got into the studio, and it was the same thing. They'd coach us through it again, and they got us all prepped. Then Dave came out, and, “Boom,” we were at level ten by the time he showed up. I think from a marketing standpoint, that pre-frame is big. Now that concept can work anywhere. When I used to do teleseminars and webinars, I would get on there, and they were all quiet and then when we'd get started answering, I'd say, “Hi, this is Russell,” and I'd get started” I remember five or six years ago, I was doing a teleseminar with Armond Morin, and I showed up ten minutes early. He was on there for ten minutes prepping the event, getting people excited, getting them fired up. –“This is what's going to be happening. You're going to have a chance to listen to Russell, and it's going to be great. Thank you so much for coming,” and then he had this loop, where he kept on getting people fired up for this thing, for ten or fifteen minutes before we started. Then, “Boom,” we started, and we were at a level ten. So that state, the state that whatever people enter into whatever experience – your teleseminar, your webinar, your event, your sales process – there's a lot of ways you guys can manipulate that. If Lindsey's crew were to hire me, that's what I would be focusing on – how to manipulate that pre-frame before she shows up, so that when she shows up, and when she stepped on the stage, it would be at a level ten from day one. And I'd say that idea is for you guys too. Think about all of your sales processes, how to crank that up and get your audience at level ten before you start speaking or selling or teaching. I'm back home. I'm going to go eat and get ready for the day. I appreciate you guys. I hope you enjoyed this podcast. If you have a chance to go to a Lindsey Stirling concert, do it. It was awesome. Worst case – just go to YouTube and type in “Lindsey Stirling” and watch some of her stuff, and you guys will be blown away by her talent, for sure. All right, guys. I'm out. We'll talk to you again soon.

Last night I saw one of the most powerful uses of the “attractive character” ever. Let me show you how Lindsey Sterling used the “attractive character” to get her audience to fall in love with her. ---Transcript--- Hey, everyone. This is Russell Brunson. I want to welcome you to “Marketing in Your Car”. Hey, everyone. It’s early, and I’m heading to the gym, but it’s nice, because now that it’s summertime, it looks like noon at 6:30 in the morning. I love summer. I’m excited for it. I wanted to share with you guys a really, super awesome experience. Last night, my wife and I had a chance to go to a Lindsey Stirling concert. If you don’t know who Lindsey Stirling is yet, go to YouTube and type in “Lindsey Stirling”, and look. There’re a couple of really good videos. One of them is of her playing violin and dancing in fire, and one’s her running through igloos. It’s definitely worth watching.
