LOOK OUT! It's only Films To Be Buried With! Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the brillant actor, music maker and film maker ALEX WOLFF! As a quick short-hand for regular listeners of the podcast who want a quick face to a name, Alex played Peter in FTBBW classic Hereditary (the whole episode is practically built on a foundation of spoilers so watch that first if it's on your "to do" list!). However, Alex is known for so much more! You might know him from The Naked Brothers Band in a younger time, or perhaps more recently A Quiet Place: Day One, or the Jumanji updates. It is a genuine pleasure to know that he's a total film nerd and it's a really fun and funny hang with these two - pure joy and as said, frequent Hereditary spoilers (but context clues will help you if you don't know the film or are not a horror fan). A Broadway actor, author, and web series co-creator, Andrew Keenan-Bolger opens up about his personal experiences, life lessons, and insights into the world of theater, social media, and literature. He recalls his introduction to theater and his early influences, which include his older sister, and how he was able to pursue a career in acting, thanks to the overwhelming support he received from his parents at such a young age. Currently playing seven different characters in “Dracula, a Comedy of Terrors”, Andrew shares a glimpse of what the production is like, including costume changes, and why having chemistry with the people you work with is essential. While he successfully grew his online presence, he candidly reveals the toll social media can take on one's mental health, ultimately choosing to show only certain aspects of his life and providing valuable content to his followers. Andrew also touches on the transition from co-creating the digital series, “Submissions Only” to co-writing the book series, "Jack and Louisa". He reflects on the responsibility of writing for a younger audience, getting inspired by other people's works, and the importance of staying true to one's unique voice. Andrew Keenan-Bolger is a multi-talented actor, author, and social media influencer who began his professional theatrical journey at the age of 10, with his earliest roles in productions like "A Christmas Carol", “Beauty and the Beast”, and "The Sound of Music." His other stage credits include roles in productions such as "Seussical,""Mary Poppins," "Newsies," and "Tuck Everlasting." His TV credits include “The Undoing”, “The Blacklist”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Nurse Jackie”, and “Naked Brothers Band”. He co-authored the middle-grade novel series "Jack and Louisa" alongside Kate Wetherhead, a delightful series that explores the adventures of two theater-loving friends. He is the co-creator of the critically acclaimed web series, “Submissions Only” and is currently part of the ensemble cast of “Dracula, a Comedy of Terrors” now playing at New World Stages. Earned: Strategies and Success Stories From the Best in Beauty + Fashion

In Ep. 97 of Earned, Conor sits down with Jesse Draper: actor, fourth-generation venture capitalist, and founding partner of early-stage, female-focused VC firm Halogen Ventures. To start the show, we learn why Jesse pursued Hollywood stardom, with notable acting credits including Nickelodeon's hit TV show “The Naked Brothers Band,” before jumping into the investing business. Jesse shares the inspiration behind her Emmy-nominated tech talk show “The Valley Girl Show,” and how her success empowered her to effect change in the male-dominated tech industry by finding—and funding—successful female-founded businesses. We dive into Jesse's now-viral (and bad-ass) 2020 Medium article, “Investing In Women Isn't A Fucking Charity,” and she unpacks the data around why female investors and entrepreneurs tend to outperform their male counterparts. Next, we hear Jesse's investment philosophies, and the characteristics she looks for in her founders, before getting her take on the creator economy—how she and her portfolio participate in it, and where she sees it going next. To wrap the episode, Jesse reveals the investments she's most excited about, and the businesses we should look out for.In this episode, you will learn:Why investing in women-led businesses is a profitable opportunity with superior returns and efficiency—not charityThe qualities Jesse looks for in the founders she invests inJesse's take on the future of the creator economy Resources:Halogen VenturesConnect with the Guest(s):Jesse Draper's LinkedInConnect with Conor Begley & CreatorIQ:Conor's LinkedIn - @conormbegleyCreatorIQ LinkedIn - @creatoriqFollow us on social:CreatorIQ YouTube - @TribeDynamicsCreatorIQ Instagram - @creatoriqCreatorIQ TikTok - @creator.iqCreatorIQ Twitter - @CreatorIQ

In the summer of 2015, a grueling and often bewildering four-year battle with a rare cancer had the acclaimed pianist-composer Michael Wolff on the ropes. He'd fallen into a coma at a New York hospital, and the prognosis had moved from doubtful to defeated. His sons Nat and Alex, in the midst of their ascent as two of the most talented actors of their generation, had returned home to be with their father and try to comfort him. They played guitars and sang at his bedside, tapping into the sweet, winsome gifts that had made the Wolffs a famous musical family nearly a decade earlier, via the hit TV series The Naked Brothers Band. At one point, as Wolff was being cared for by his wife, the award-winning actress, director and writer Polly Draper, a doctor asked her if she'd signed a Do Not Resuscitate order. Through the haze of drugs and debilitating illness, Wolff interjected. Lifting his head up, he growled: “Resuscitate me!”“I guess it just wasn't my time,” he recalls! Today, he joins us on The Jazz Podcast for a chat about the journey. Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/thejazzpodcast)

"I’ve basically been on camera since the sonogram," he says, joking about his childhood in "The Naked Brothers Band” with his brother, Nat, on Nickelodeon. Since then he's knocked out a handful of impressive performances in films like "Patriots Day," "My Friend Dahmer," and "Hereditary." Now he's written, directed and stars in a labor of love called "The Cat and The Moon." He talks about treating his actors like kings and queens on that film, stealing from the greats, letting prep work flow through the bloodstream, and much more.

The only thing that didn't make him feel like an outsider was when he was performing. Modeling would eventually lead to acting, and by the time Keli arrived in Los Angeles to continue nurturing his acting career, he had a realization: All those years of people telling him he couldn't achieve anything, he actually could. Now, he has a new documentary out called "On Thin Ice," and for Keli, it has brought everything full circle.
