She would even commute from Athens to Atlanta and back to Athens on a nightly basis (over an hour drive each way!). Today, Mia is not just a Georgia gem anymore. She has been featured on Oxygen, TLC, NickMom's Night Out, and the legendary comedy festival Just For Laughs. Cool Beans Comedy's very own Corey Craig and Matthew Moore catch up with comedians Taylor Tomlinson and Kelsey Cook in the greenroom after their sets at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, California. Taylor Tomlinson started doing stand up comedy at just sixteen years old, when she realized that her quiet, sarcastic asides were not being adequately appreciated by her peers. Her self-deprecating charm and conversational wit have made her a favorite at comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, and other suspicious, rented spaces across the country. She was featured in her own regular segment ("Young as Hell") on Laughs on FOX season 1 and can now be seen hosting the show every week. She was a top ten finalist on season 9 of NBC's Last Comic Standing and can be seen on the upcoming season of Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central.¹ Kelsey Cook’s quick wit and relatable observations create an easy connection with her audiences. She’s the daughter of an International Yo-Yo Champion and a Professional Foosball player, which made for a humor-filled life at a young age.  She moved to Los Angeles from Seattle and has spent the last year touring 50+ dates with Jim Norton. She recently started splitting her time with New York, where she is a paid regular at The Comedy Cellar, The Stand, Gotham Comedy Club and New York Comedy Club. She regularly appears as a guest on "Opie and Jimmy" and "The Sam Roberts Show" on Sirius.² ¹Source: elle Model Agency ²Source: Laugh Factory *Music provided by bensound.com

This episode was recorded live at Bird City Comedy Festival in Phoenix. Jeremy, Kenny, and Kris were on the panel. We had amazing comedians from all over as storytellers. The theme was Dating, but all the stories were about random hookups with strangers. First up was Tyler Snodgrass with a story about an intimate moment on an airplane. Tyler Snodgrass is a comedian living in Chicago. He produces the shame-based storytelling comedy show, We Still Like You, writes for The Whiskey Journal, and performs all over the country. He has a good heart and an OK face. Next, Sofiya Alexandra told a story about losing her virginity to a guy with a mohawk. Somehow that wasn't his worst trait. Sofiya Alexandra grew up in Odessa, Ukraine, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 11. She performs standup at venues all over LA, including The Comedy Store, UCB, The Improv, and throughout the alt comedy scene. She was named one of The Fifty Funniest Women on Twitter by Playboy and one of 18 Funny Women You Should Be Following on Twitter by Huffington Post. She currently writes on Amazon's Danger & Eggs. After that, Matt Storrs told a story about someone freaking out in a very odd and ominous way. Matt Storrs is a humor person living in Phoenix. He hosts The Storrs Objection and is the fact-checker for Phoenix Educational Programming's PEP Rally. Lastly, Jonathan Gregory tried to molest Jeremy onstage. Eventually he told a story and it was so goddamn funny. Jonathan Gregory's unique one of a kind "creepy" comedy has audiences howling wherever he goes . A cross between Steven Wright and Sam Kinison, Jonathan has over 8 million hits on YouTube; and his television credits include Showtime Boxing, NBC's Last Comic Standing season 6, and E! Network's True Hollywood Stories Investigates Hazing.

Movie Meltdown - Episode 195  This week, we are joined by our special guest co-host Jay Mohr. Jay has been acting for years, starring in movies from Cameron Crowe's "Jerry Maguire" to Clint Eastwood's "Hereafter". He was a member of the "Saturday Night Live" cast as well as the creator of NBC's "Last Comic Standing". Not to mention his lengthy stand-up comedy career and hosting his own podcast "Mohr Stories".  And this week Jay sits in for our "Sofa Theater" feature, as we discuss Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing".  Well... we start off talking about "Do the Right Thing". Eventually we spiral off into "Jungle Fever"... and "Platoon"... and "Reservoir Dogs"... and "Cape Fear"... and "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps"? Yeah, we cover a lot of cinematic ground in this episode. And all of it is made even more enjoyable as Jay occasionally falls into impressions of the characters from the movies. It's an interesting discussion of race relations mixed with entertaining performances from numerous movies.   And as someone in the group throws down on a Philly Cheese Steak, we then move on to discuss... Burt Wonderstone, Steve Buscemi, a weird fraternity, meeting over the JC Penny, Gregory Peck, Rope, the mounting pressure of an extended take, Get Low, save the rec center, casting yourself in a movie, Boo Radley, Tomorrow, ad libbing with steve carell, Goodfellas, Ozzie Davis, Norman Reedus, Pluto Nash, how to do opening credits, Letterman's monolog, The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Bad Lieutenant, fine dining,  Rick the Improbable, The Godfather, The Walking Dead, Ossie Davis, Holly Hunter, running into Rachel Dratch, a magician's union, Clockers, Joe Pesci, Robert Mitchum, Barton Fink, Rosie Perez, Scarface, dancing like a fool, Colin Quinn, Eddie Murphy, Reggie Jackson's hitting stats, and starting a kickstarter campaign. Spoiler Alert: In the middle of all the goings on of this episode, we reveal many plot points for "Do the Right Thing". Oh yeah, and Jay spoils key moments in "Jungle Fever" and "Platoon" as well. "A conversation with me, is like when you just move the radio knob real quick." For all of Jay's tour dates and the link to his podcast, visit his website at: http://www.jaymohr.com/

Ryan Hamilton, best known for his two turns on NBC's Last Comic Standing, has a face made for comedy. And, luckily, an act to match. You can't see the mug on this podcast, but we talk about it. That, and a whole lot more, such as why the press insists on commenting on said visage and the fact he works clean and happens to be Mormon.

Sean Kent may have done two seasons on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and may have written jokes about Pamela Anderson's vagina, but he's a freakin' intellectual. The proof is in the podcast.
