If you never listen to a single GoodGood Investing episode ever again –– listen to this one!!! It's safe to say our minds were BLOWN whenever we interviewed Travis Smith from Tribevest. Now we want to scream their praises from the rooftops! This will be the most profitable podcast episode you will ever listen to. Tribevest is a collaborative, group investment platform that enables friends and family to organize as an investor group, pool money, and manage joint investments. Travis Smith is the Founder and CEO of Tribevest, a platform that makes it easy and safe to invest as a group and do deals together in as little as 48 hours. He started his career with Morgan Stanley but realized the most direct path to wealth and financial freedom wasn't through Wall St or as an individual. The path is as a group, as a tribe. Travis is obsessed with building a platform that standardizes, streamlines, and ultimately de-risks group investing. He won't stop until every single deal on and off the internet is an opportunity for a multi-player experience. He is building Tribevest, so you don't always have to go it alone. Hey there, podcast lovers! We are live and ready to dive into an exciting and informative episode that you don't want to miss. Today, I have the pleasure of sitting down with Rachel Grunn, a realtor extraordinaire from Reflect Real Estate. We kick off the conversation with a fun tangent about electric cars and how they are more than just eco-friendly transportation. Rachel spills the beans about her VW ID four, an affordable alternative to a Tesla with all the bells and whistles. But let's get back to business! Rachel and I discuss her journey in the real estate industry, her partnership with her husband, and the incredible success they've achieved in a challenging market. We dive into the importance of creativity, technology, and educational content in the world of real estate. Rachel shares her valuable insights on how they use social media to inform clients about opportunities and innovative strategies. As the conversation unfolds, we explore multifamily syndication, a topic that often flies under the radar. Rachel and I shed light on the regulated world of real estate investment, debunking common misconceptions and highlighting the accessibility for both accredited and non-accredited investors. We discuss the stability and potential of multifamily properties, which provide a more affordable entry point into the market compared to traditional homeownership. But wait, there's more! Many investors ask about insurance coverage and what the contingency plan is if the inconceivable happens – Matthew digs into all of that on today's podcast! Matthew is an award-winning entrepreneur and business owner in the insuretech sector. Following a 5-year tenure as a top-ranked State Farm agent, Matt founded Skylight Insurance after catching the attention of the largest Century 21 franchise worldwide. Kendra Branden was invested in Mutual Funds for 25 years making 6–7% annualized returns, then in 2008 she lost about 45% of her portfolio. It took until 2015 to regain her losses and she knew there had to be a better way, so her search began. She found multi-family and commercial real estate investing and it super-charged her portfolio. She doubled her income in just 4 years and has since retired and lives entirely off of her passive income from her investments.
