With a new year around the corner, it's time to rethink how we approach productivity. Could managing your energy—not your time—be the secret to unlocking major breakthroughs in your business and health? In today's case study, you'll hear how Amina AlTai leveraged her energy cycles to transform her business and health. Initially driven by necessity following a brain injury and autoimmune challenges, Amina developed a productivity framework that aligned her work schedule with her body's natural rhythms.  Within a year, her income doubled from $220K to over $500K. She also created the mental space and energy to write a book that sold within a week of being shopped out in a lucrative pre-empt deal with a publisher. Her anti-hustle approach set her apart in the market, proving that success doesn't have to come at the cost of well-being. If you're looking for a sustainable way to grow your business while protecting your health, this conversation is the perfect way to kickstart your year. Joining the show today is Jac Julien, founder of AntiHustle Nation. She went from stay at home mom to a lazy entrepreneur, running her own business with as little stress, effort, and time as possible. She says her motivation to become “AntiHustle" was she was she was, simply put: wore the f*ck out, of juggling between her obligations of family and work. To quote her: This notion of “just do it”, you have to dive in, ” “you have to keep going”, just do it -- it'll work itself out HUSTLE! HUSTLE! HUSTLE! ...okay, that might be good for a half hour work out...but this idea of how to live your life, well that just doesn't make any sense to me. because I'm NOT as productive. I'm NOT getting as much done. I'm NOT happy. I'm not spending time with my family. So how can I change this? “ Her kids and husband took up a lot of time in addition to working part time as an online teacher. She wanted to streamline all aspects of her life: work, family, and hobbies without all the stress. Thus, AntiHustle Nation was born. She goes on to talk about “Work Life Bullsh*t.” Making the point that it's ALL life and shouldn't be a balancing act. You only get one shot at this. Put LIFE first and then put work assecondary. Stop “shoulding” yourself. What you should do is not necessarily what is right for us or your family or friends, so you end up doing things you don't want to do. You live a life of oblgiation rather than want/desire Remove the word “should” form your vocabulary. It just makes us feel “crappy” having a lot of “shoulds” Should is a standard not set up by your own wants; it is something passed on to you and taught to you since you were a kid Be lazy to remove the "shoulds". As a coach, she takes what she learned and put a price tag on it. She has the knowldge already and is monetizing it - the lazy way! For moms juggling businesses and family, the pressure to "do it all" doesn't just feel overwhelming—it feels impossible. The push to work faster, harder, and longer leads to exhaustion, frustration, and a sense of failure when life doesn't go according to plan.  For years, we've been sold the idea that hustle = success. But the more we embrace the hustle culture, the more we sacrifice our health, relationships, and happiness. There's a better way to build your dream business, one that doesn't leave you feeling drained. How would your life and business look if you didn't have to do everything all at once? What if slowing down and focusing on fewer things actually made you feel happier and more successful? In this episode, I welcome back published author, keynote & TEDx speaker Jadah Sellner, who shares her “anti-hustle” approach to growing a business that nourishes your life instead of depleting it. If you've been feeling the pressure to juggle every role at lightning speed, this episode is your invitation to pause.   Things You'll Learn In This Episode  Why hustling isn't the only path to success Hustle culture tells us to go faster, do more, and never stop. How can you enjoy your work without feeling overwhelmed? Why saying "no" is important Not everything is worth your time. Learning to say "no" helps you focus on what really matters. Many of us constantly struggle to balance self-acceptance and self-improvement in a world flooded with body standards, diet culture, and societal pressures. The battle between body positivity and the idea of hustling for a better version of ourselves can be a sensitive and complex one. Today's episode is an invitation to Kristen's journey and how you might be thinking about these two philosophies.    Let's look at a few highlights: Kristen shares how the endless chase for an ideal body meant she often neglected her actual health needs. The insidious diet culture had her trapped in a cycle of self-loathing. She was led to believe that loving yourself meant staying stagnant, and any desire to change was an act of self-hate. Body positivity is not a free pass to neglect one's health. Anti-hustle is not an escape from hard work.  Acknowledging that just because something feels uncomfortable doesn't mean it's hustle, and we can't walk away. In any endeavor, if you want to build something sustainable, you will have to work hard.   Balancing these philosophies means recognizing that we can treasure our bodies and self-worth while striving for improvement. It's a journey of discovering that loving oneself should never be an excuse for complacency. That hard work is often the path to a healthier, happier, more authentic life. So, let's look at our habits, address the areas where we've made excuses, and make the changes necessary to achieve actual, sustainable results.   Introducing the Social Selling Leadership School: A 12-week Advanced Leadership Certification program for Network Marketers. Why are we not giving entrepreneurship the respect it deserves? We're diving headfirst into a topic that's been poking at my entrepreneurial nerve lately. Look, I'm all about freedom and balance, but this is hard work! In this episode, we're peeling back the layers of this anti-hustle trend. I'm sharing why it's not the silver bullet it's cracked up to be. Even the most remarkable business ideas need nurturing, dedication, and yes, some sweat equity. You wouldn't work 3-days a week and call it a career...it's a part-time job. So why aren't we giving entrepreneurship with the respect it deserves as your career? Grab your headphones, buckle up, and let's have an honest chat about the '3-day work week' illusion and why entrepreneurship deserves more than a half-hearted attempt.

We're wired to hustle. We've been trained to hustle since childhood and most of us don't know any other way. From babysitting, to working through college, to working through grad school. We don't know any other way to navigate life than by grinding it out. But there are certain seasons in which we should slow down, because rushing at the same pace during that time would be detrimental to our physical, emotional and mental health. How do you know when to switch out of hustle mode and slow down? In this episode, I'll give you some ideas about when you might want to switch into your anti-hustle mode for a while. You'll learn why slowing down is important, even if it feels foreign at first. Listen in… Show Highlights Include: How my maternity leave allowed me to soak up the experience of being a mother and bond with my babies. (and why you might consider taking one if you can). (3:23) Could a gap year be the right step for your child?. (8:09) The characteristics of a season to dial it back and switch into anti-hustle mode. (We accidentally uploaded the wrong audio for this episode last week! This is the correct audio. Enjoy and thank you for your patience and understanding!}   I've noticed over the last couple of years that more business owners than ever feel burnt out, overwhelmed, and just want a soft life. And you know what? That's a perfectly normal response to recovering from a world crisis, going through a cost of living crisis, and dealing with everything else that has been thrown at us over the last few years.   I've had my own bouts of overwhelm here and there when balancing building my own tiny home (with zero DIY skills I might add!), running a business, and being in a long-distance relationship. It's normal to not feel like you have the energy to market yourself or your business. To not even feel motivated to work at all.   But earning a living is self-care. It's a way we care for ourselves, our families, and our wellbeing.   There are times when, yes, you do need to rest. Perhaps even for weeks or months. (Especially if you are suffering with illness or you are burnt out.)   But there are also times when you need some self-discipline. When you need to get in touch with the "girlboss" inside you and use her to help you work - even if you're only doing a few hours of work and not a full day.   Today, let's talk about this more. (It might be a bit of a controversial episode but I think you'll find it helpful!)   Let's discuss: How to discern when you need restvs when you need self-discipline. How to get work done when you don't feel motivated or you are chronically underfunctioning. Why productivity is not alwys the bad guy it's made out to be.   Tune in to learn more!   Nesha xo   PS - Want to learn more about my 1:1 coaching program, Momentum? Learn more here.
