Welcome to Cyrus Says! The Mehta Boys: A Heartfelt Tale of Family, Cricket & Parsi Culture with Boman Irani & Cyrus Broacha "The Mehta Boys" promises a rollercoaster of emotions as Amay, a young architect, navigates 48 tumultuous hours with his estranged father, blending humor and heartache. The podcast subtly weaves in cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar and Farokh Engineer, sparking debates on the "Real Parsi Hero"—a nod to Boman Irani’s iconic role as Engineer in ’83 and a nostalgic anecdote where Engineer once took him to Old Manchester. Behind-the-scenes gems include Boman’s and his childhood cricket saga with Eknath Solkar, Their chemistry shines beyond The Mehta Boys—revisiting 2009’s 99 and Fruit and Nut. At the 2025 Kala Ghoda Festival, the duo bonded over chai and Parsi nostalgia, while Boman paid tribute to Regal Cinema’s Aslam, the projectionist who fueled his film passion. Perfect for fans of cultural comedies and cricket lore, The Mehta Boys blends generational clashes, Parsi humor, and iconic Mumbai landmarks—a tribute to Kunal Vijayakar, family, food, and the chaos that binds us. Boman cherishes working with Pawan Kalyan for his humility. As for “I Am Not Bajirao,” he’d cast fresh faces but keep the soul intact—just like Parsis preserve their custard recipes! It's an all new That Real Blind Tech Show. Brian, David, and Jeanine get together to recap the ACB and NFB Conferences.   We started recording minutes after reports started that Trump had been shot, and not knowing if it was fake news, we had to go with the information we had at the time of recording. Which leads us in to some of the news that came out about Aira during the conferences.    We then start off discussing the report that Air BnB fails to protect its guests against spying cameras. Which then leads us to discussing if we ever get freaked out that someone is filming us.   Just in time for Prime Day, Amazon's A.I. Shopping Assistant is rolling out to everyone in the U.S.   We then dive in to Conference season as David explains to us what happens all day at the NFB Conference. David then fills us in about the exhibit hall at the conference. David then fills us in how the resolution voting process works. We then discuss the nightlife at the conference. We then discuss the Saturday night screening of the blind sitcom Don't Look Now which screened at the Regal Cinema in Orlando. According to a recent survey more authentic disability is wanted in film and T.V.   We then move to discuss some of the latest Aira announcements and some of the fake news that was spreading around at the conferences.   Jeanine then fills us in on her experiences at the ACB Conference in Jacksonville. Jeanine tells us about her experience demoing the Guidance Mobility device. Jeanine then tells us about the other items she got to check out at the conference.   After reviewing our conference experiences we decided to go ahead and recap this year's NFB Resolutions. So sit back and get ready for some insanity. You can read all of the resolutions here.   And we actually remember to read a couple of the emails and it's more of Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading.   To contact That Real Blind Tech Show, you can email us at ThatRealBlindTechShow@gmail.com, join our Facebook Group That Real Blind Tech Show, join us on the Twitter @BlindTechShow , or leave us an old school phone message at 929-367-1005.

Ep. 237: Screen Slate leader Jon Dieringer on Civil War, plus Roadhouse, Quiet on Set, The Eclipse Welcome to The Last Thing I Saw with your host, Nicolas Rapold. With the country in the grips of Civil War fever, I join forces with Screen Slate editor-in-chief Jon Dieringer, who was fresh from seeing the much-anticipated movie at a local Regal Cinema. We talk about the different layers to Civil War and Alex Garland's approach to depicting a future United States that's broken up into separate regions and armies and has a belligerent president in the White House. (The plot follows a band of photojournalists—played by Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, and Stephen McKinley Henderson—who are driving to Washington, D.C., to try to interview the president.) Jon and I also share some other recent watches, including the documentary series Quiet on Set, the Road House remake, Larry Fessenden's latest horror movie, and nature's own mighty contribution to cinema. "Borrelia Borealis", a film by writer/director/actress Kathryne Isabelle Easton, will have it's world premiere at the 2021 LaFemme International Film Festival, running October 14-17 held both virtually and at the Regal Cinema at LA Live. Easton is a highly regarded filmmaker in the entertainment community whose previous work has garnered her such prestigious honors as double Academy Nicholl quarterfinalist for her scripts "Happy Birthday, Ray!" and "Hemorrhage." She directed the episodic series “Key Question” for Legendary Studios at Geek and Sundry, and she just wrapped principal photography directing her second independent feature film, “Valleyheart.” "Borrelia Borealis" is a vividly lush, mystically haunting take on love and desire during an unprecedented US lockdown. In the midst of a global pandemic and raging California wildfires, Beth, who suffers from life-threatening late-stage chronic Lyme disease, is forced to confront her personal demons in quarantine. After a particularly brutal day, she answers a random video call from a mysterious man, and soon an unlikely romance breaks open a boundless cosmic world through astral projection. Easton has been a multi-hyphenate filmmaker for more than a decade. With her equally talented husband Matt Fore (Director of Photography/ Editor/Producer), the two established Abhorrent Behavior, a full service production company that has produced dozens of award-winning short films, web series, music videos, and two feature films since 2017. This week the boys put on their grandpa clothes to kick off June with a June-iversal Monsters show chock full of black and white horror goodness! Up first, James Whale (director of Frankenstein, Invisible Man and Bride of Frankenstein) takes us into The Old Dark House from 1932. A group of travelers seek refuge from a storm in a creepy mansion inhabited by some strange folks and their monstrous man servant played by Boris Karloff. Then, in a sequel to the original Wolf Man, Lon Chaney Jr. returns as Lawrence Talbot, back from the grave and up to his wolfish ways. He seeks out the old gypsy woman to help lift his curse, and while she can't help him she knows a doctor who can... Dr. Frankenstein! But when they get to Germany, they find out the good doctor has passed away, but they do discover his monster (this time played by Bela Lugosi) frozen, but still alive in Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man from 1943. And finally, we get another monster mash but this time with a healthy dose of comedy as Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, working as shipping clerks run afoul of Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and Frankenstein (Glenn Strange) all while trying to assist Lon Chaney Jr, who once again is wolfin' out in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein from 1948. All this plus we do a little Movie Hostage, run down some movies we've been watching, get some insight into AMC and the "stonk market", find out why Regal Cinema switched to Pepsi, see what video game tripped Kevin out and so much more. THE DIRTY 30!  Episode XXX!  In this unusually family-friendly ep we have our second epic interview in as many weeks, but this time it's with the future captain of industry; he who will inherit the earth:  A 9 YEAR OLD BOY, a student, who is an only child, with divorced parents, giving us his take on Melbourne's endless LOCKDOWN GULAG and how 5% of his life has been spent.  You might be surprised...   Since BEES are the barometer of WTF is going on with the planet, it's time to watch the barometric pressure rise as Honey Bees make way smarter decisions than you, have threesomes and bee orgies, and make decisive action on exactly where they want to go out and party and eat---just like you!   Japan is a conundrum:  They bring us grotesquely bad humans like the face that sank 1000 ships, Mazie Hirono, who probably sank The Arizona just by looking at it in Pearl Harbour.  But they also bring us great culture, food, and especially epic clothing and superstars like Junya Watanabe and my long-time fave Commes de Garcons.... in case you wondered why I look especially epic this week in WHAT YOUR PODCASTER IS WEARING.  They also (Japan) make epic whisky as you know, but this week I'm drinking the best SCOTCH WHISKY on the planet, and we'll open a flagon together.  Ever since Efrem Zimbalist, Jr died and took all the good agents with him (other than the ones in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) there's been a lot of reason to not trust the FBI, especially since they conspired with the CIA to spy on the Republican election campaign in 2016 when weaponized by the dark witch and Barry.  But Clint Eastwood's latest movie shows how they can really fuck up your life if they suspect you of something you never did if they need a victim and you fit the profile.  There's nothing like a good sex trafficking series to relax the family and The Vow is the hottest brand in town.  Check out a local Aussie film from a few years ago that no one saw but is worth hunting down about the white Aussie guy on the podium at Mexico City with Black Power Gloved Tommy Smith and John Carlos.  Come watch with me... The heavy MARS energy and NEPTUNE impulses in our charts this week has put extreme psychic visions and ridiculous comfort food in our lives.  I'm a takin' you to Harlem to pig out on WAFFLES and FRIEND CHICKEN at Silvia's Soul Kitchen and you will thank me! Plus all your regular faves and make sure the whole family listens to this one..or else. :) #MarieBrenner #ClintEastwood #SamRockwell #uesquebach #Whisky #Scotch #KentAlexander #kevinSalwen #RichardJewell #TheVow #KeithRaniere #SylviasSoulFood #Mars #Neptune #Salute #DavidRedman #instinctEntertainment #RogerNorman #Prada #Acne #SylviaWoods #commesDeGarcon #junyawatanabe #mazieHirono #CoreyBooker #AmyConeyBryant #ACB #SupremeCourt #DanielAndrews #Lockdown #Bees #CIA #FBI #DanBongino #monsterDome #DavidLittlejohn #BruceLee #BeWaterMyFriend #shannonLee #EnterTheDragon #ChelseaCook #TheConversation   OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Photo by: John Nacion/STAR MAX/IPx 2020 10/5/20 A view of Regal Cinema in Times Square, New York City on October 5, 2020. Check out this week’s episode featuring power duo Karla Serrato and Michael Sherman, who star in Episode One of the upcoming The Quarantine Files project from 2 East 8th Productions. Talk starts off with the pandemic and how its nature spawned The Quarantine Files project. The heroes move into a discussion about legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City being up for sale. This transitions seamlessly into Regal Cinema closing down all of their theaters again due to a host of pandemic related reasons. Movie theater discussion leads us to the new trailer for Ryan Reynold’s next movie Free Guy and if anyone is interested in seeing it. Finally, the podcast ends with a vaguely erotic fan fiction-esque throw-down between Paul Rudd and Ryan Reynolds. Want to know what that means? You’ll just have to listen now, won’t you? With 28 days to go until Election Day and millions of early votes already cast, the campaign is quickly slipping away from Donald Trump. Was last night's full on dictator like photo op the final straw? Tonight, we get a better understanding of Trump's actual health condition from a medical professional and we'll debate whether his health or his re-election chances are in worse shape. In our Just One Question segment we discussed Regal Cinema's decision to close all of their theaters through the end of the year and AMC's decision to stay open. We closed the show reading the jokes we had written on Friday about trump getting covid but decided not to do because he was hospitalized. Considering how flippant and reckless he has been since getting out of the hospital, it seemed entirely appropriate. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tmihollywood/support

The Holidays bring out the best (and worst) ish. So y'all know Natasha has a lot of ish to talk about what you MUST see on tv and at the movies this winter, and what you need to skip over with the quickness. She brought entertainment journalist Karu F. Daniels on to ki-ki and cut up. He's been in this business for the better part of 20 years, so he's seen it ALL. But he's all the way confused by and NOT here for the Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian drama. Natasha is pissed BlacRob are doing THE MOST as a unit on weekends, Karu yelled at Mariah to get her legendary grown ass off the floor and off reality tv and he goes on record to tell the world he DOES NOT f*** with Taylor Swift. Both Karu and Natasha explain why "Mariah's World" wore them out and they just can't, why Leah Remini's tea spilling in her new Scientology documentary is everything, they argue over what makes a girl “loose” — like the chicks on “Star” —, that cray "Empire" finale, why Hidden Figures is EPIC, why Xzibit reminds Natasha of one of her exes, Taye Diggs' "Empire" character being totally smashable, why Karu wanted to slit his wrist while watching Jackie, why Taraji P. Henson's about to get snubbed all awards season, Oscar predictions and more. NEW YORK & LA AREA LISTENERS!!!!
