In this episode we head much further back in time than we have ever dared before for an Iconic Ship…to find out about Henry V's ship Grace Dieu, launched in 1418. And what a ship she was...Henry only reigned for ten years but in those years he worked harder than any of his predecessors to build a navy designed to destroy French seapower. His ships were not just barges designed for transporting armies to France, but great warships built for prestige and power. It is during Henry V's time as king that one of the finest of all medieval warships, Grace Dieu, was constructed. Contemporary descriptions marvelled at its size, and modern historians were cynical until her wreck in the River Hamble near Southampton was surveyed. These investigations proved that her mainmast was 200ft tall: she was nearly three times larger than Henry VIII's Mary Rose which was built nearly a century later, and no warship that rivalled her for size was built for another 200 years. To find out more about this remarkable feat of construction and the vision to attempt something apparently impossible, Dr Sam Willis spoke with Susan Rose, a legend in the world of medieval maritime and naval history. Victoria: Hey everyone, it’s Sensei Victoria Whitfield here, your journey partner in business, welcoming you back to episode 146 of the Journeypreneur Podcast. This is your source for channeled holistic stress management techniques, guidance, inspiration and motivation to stay on your path to rapid financial ascension and massive impact as a conscious entrepreneur. So, in this podcast episode, I get the honor and the pleasure of getting to introduce you to an incredible goddess in my life, Susan Rose. You can find her at SusanRose.net and she is a copywriter and email marketing mentor. She also happens to be a member of my Visionary Shaman Circle. So, hello, goddess. Welcome to the podcast! Susan: Thanks for having me here. I'm so excited. Victoria: Let's do it. So, I'm curious. Like, we love each other. We know each of each other's freaking awesome in our businesses. Like we. We got it. We got it. And for those who are listening in, this may be their very first time meeting you. So, if you could, in your own words, describe what it is you do, but especially what are the three things that you're known for? Could you tell us? Susan: I can tell you I help empath entrepreneurs tell their story and make more impact and come by owning who they are and getting visible in the world. I primarily do this to the tactic of email marketing because it is such a powerful tool for nurturing relationships. And so, I'm a big believer in that. And so, it's a great way to tie those two things together. So. Things the people the clients tell me that they kind of my special sauce, right, is that I'm able to explain really complicated technical things and teach people how to take these abstract concepts of learning and in do something with it. So, I did this stuff as I'm really good at that. I'm wonderful at and known for providing the very safe space for people to explore whatever it is, whether it is not knowing how to do something that they feel like they are supposed to know or telling what parts of their story to share or not to share and working through these things that put people in a very vulnerable position. And I'm proud to say that I'm able to provide the space that makes feel safe. And then the third thing is really laser focusing on what the next thing to do is for people, because that's like we have a lot of options right now as entrepreneurs and. Let's just cut to the chase. Help you figure out what it is and may or may not be what I'm offering, whatever the right thing for you. That's what I'm aiming for. Victoria: I love it. I love it. What a blessing. You know, one of the hardest things is for us empath entrepreneurs are being able to cut to the chase and get to have that laser focus in a safe container. So that's so fabulous. Susan: Yeah, I think it's hard because when it doesn't feel safe, I mean, I think that's when people are then floating around and there's a lot of stuff out there that isn't wasn't safe for me floating around out there. Victoria: So, look, I know there are things out there that have inspired you to go into the work to do the same way for me. There’re things that I've encountered that inspired me to become the world's first Business Reiki Master, to create the Visionary Shaman Circle. So, I'm curious, like, did something happen or did you like that caused you to decide? Like, right, I'm going into this. I'm creating SusanRose.net then becoming a copywriter and email marketing mentor, like, this is the thing - like what happened that inspired you to start your business in the first place. Could you tell us? Susan: Yeah, well, so I've been in business for 20 years. So, what inspired that is not what inspired me to be where I am in this moment. So that inspiration was just wanting to do really interesting work, good work for good people and be in business with my sister. And that kind of started to be on the entrepreneurial path. But after our partnership years ago, as I was doing freelance writing and working with a variety of people, I ended up in a coaching program to help me with my business as we do right. That's where we are. And it was the wrong step for me. It was not as a as empathic person, which I was not identifying as at the time, which can be a danger. I started working with somebody and this was a very, very, very high-ticket program, working with somebody that had a very masculine kind of marketing approach. And so, from basically the moment I got into that program, I did not have seen I did not hear. My coach was like nothing I did was right. And I needed to change everything. And it was incredibly painful. And I felt just like I had regressed back into my childhood with stuff that I thought I had dealt with. Now, meanwhile, all the time I'm doing this, I'm giving this person a lot of money and I'm not seeing any results from it. I'm feeling very powerless. And that's not all that coaches. That was the support that I needed to go on and do, but that was the inspiration. So, when I came out of that a year or so after that, when I was able to have digested and work through it, I'm like, I don't want other people who are like me who are highly sensitive to me. At the time I called myself an introvert. That's how I am. I am part of a now realized basically the same thing all but I wanted a quick result. This person promised a quick result, which I also know isn't true because I've owned multiple businesses over 20 years. So, there's a lot going on there. And I didn't want other people like me because the other people who are like me in that program, we're also not succeeding. And it was very clear the people who led with power and beautiful people. But if that was how they led, then they did really well. But those of us who were more sensitive and empathic totally floundered and did not get any results. -Let's talk about it!Feel like you’ve got a Money Block stopping or slowing your business growth? Need help clearing that block, so that you can get your next-level abundance breakthrough?  Take the assessment at http://www.victoriawhitfield.com/quiz to find out, and apply for a Breakthrough Call with me!

Nashville is the place to go when you want to become a country music star, but when Susan Rose got there, she found her life’s work waiting for her. She knows how to take advantage of an opportunity – not only did she become a professional musician, she had the opportunity to learn to program the original Wholehog. That experience quickly led her to programming on tours, becoming a designer in her own right, and expanding into corporate events, cruise ships, and amusement park spectaculars.Susan’s expertise on Wholehog and Wholehog II resulted in her becoming a trainer and creating the well-loved Whole Hog II Quick Reference guide, and led her to a long-time position working with the great Jeff Ravitz as the touring lighting director for Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. We had a chance to discuss that show, her design for the evening lighting of the Wildwood Tree in Wildwood Grove at Dollywood, as well as Country Tonight, a revue she recently designed in her home base of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.Visit Susan’s website Susan Rose Music, and come back for Part 2 of our interview with Susan on the next episode!

Sign Up For Jessens' Webinar Here: https://bit.ly/jessenct KEY TAKEAWAYS Bone china is a niche market but it’s vital that English bone china makers are able to continue to share their skills creating beautiful items. I’m passionate about English bone china and it’s important that want people to know about its quality and environmental positives. As we have grown our market has changed from 80% retail and 20% corporate to 20% retail and 80% corporate. There was a switch from it being a hobby business to a business that was scaling and growing. Every business requires extremely hard work and everyone makes mistakes but try to use those situations as opportunities. Ask yourself what can I do better, what can I change? It’s not about the situation it’s how you respond to it, learn from it and use the opportunities. It’s important to understand that if someone else can do it you can too. We recently moved all our work to Stoke and this changed the business because we are now central to expertise and skills in bone china production. It’s important to have the right people around you. My hard work and passion has brought me into contact with people who have wanted to help me. BEST MOMENTS ‘Bone china is an environmentally sound gift to give someone because it’s designed to last’ ‘I’ve met amazing people along the way who’ve helped me so I’m eager to give back to others’ ‘Through hard work, I got my foot in the door’ VALUABLE RESOURCES Christina Talks Podcast Susan Rose China Susan Rose China Instagram ABOUT THE HOST Christina has been working with SME’s since 2013 to launch, develop and perfect their online presence. In Session With Darren Walters

Lighting Director/Programmer for Ringo Starr Susan is no stranger to the music business. When she made her debut appearance on stage at the age of 14, little did she know she was not only opening up her career path of being a country music singer but it would also eventually lead her to a successful career as a lighting designer and programmer. Being true to the Gemini description, this 5' 2" red-headed, blue-eyed songstress had another side to her that continued to grow over the years. Susan’s love of entertainment combined with her natural technical curiosity led her to learn more about the “other side” of show production. She graduated from Full Sail University, where she learned the technical side of the business. This education opened doors to an alternate career path that has led her to be a successful lighting designer/director/programmer, touring with various major artists such as Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band (2003 to present), Louise Mandrell, John Berry, Hank Willliams Jr. and many others, as well as working on numerous television shows (Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, Trumpet Awards, Freddy Awards, Black Music Honors, Kansas DVD and numerous TV specials), theme parks (Disney, Dollywood, Sea World and Nickelodeon), cruise ships, theaters and concerts. Her self-penned “Whole Hog Quick Reference Guide” has become an industry standard globally in teaching console programming. Her musical background allows her to naturally “feel” the music, therefore making people “see” the music. She always says it is like performing, just from the other side. Though she has a passion for lighting, the music is still in her blood and will never die out. Her dream is to take her experiences from the past 24 years and express them to you in her music.
