BAD BLOOD, 19min., Argentina Directed by Guillermo Ronco Abandoned by the state and with his daughter's life at stake, police officer Rafael chooses to break his deepest convictions and commit a crime to resolve his situation. But when what was supposed to be a robbery turns into a kidnapping, he discovers that there are limits he cannot cross. https://www.instagram.com/lucero_audiovisual/ Get to know the filmmaker: What motivated you to make this film? In 2018/19, I began developing my first feature film, “Saints of Buenaventura”, but it was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. So, my next move to push forward this project was to shoot a short film with similar characteristics in terms of tone and artistic style. So, I took the structure of the third act of the first draft of that script and turned it into a story with a beginning and end in less than 20 minutes. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video? It was awesome! The way they got engaged and moved by the story, and their comments about the right pacing and the sound score building suspense and anticipation. I work so consciously on those topics that it makes me very proud that I got them right. Feedback is priceless for us filmmakers. Thanks so much for that! Here's your hosts, Allen Hall and Phil Totaro. Allen Hall: Well, Phil, our first idea of the week is from our friends at Vestas, and it's an anti oscillation tool for wind turbine blades. And how this patent is described, it's like a sock for your wind turbine blade with a little bit of a covering over the trailing edge serrations, and you slide this device on And it stops oscillations during deployment, when the, when the turbine may be a little more vulnerable, it's not a full operation, maybe in lockouts, where you really don't want any lift, and particularly you don't want any oscillations that could, in theory, Phil Totaro: Yeah. And maybe it's an idea that GE should have come up with or LM should have come up with first considering some of the issues they've had this year. But what's kind of fascinating about this though, is that this isn't necessarily a new idea from the perspective of putting a little sock on the end of your wind turbine blade to protect the tip during a lift. Usually it's for making sure that you don't damage the serrations or whatever you've stuck on the trailing edge of the blade. In this case, Vestas and, and I'm, I'm kind of expressing my opinion or suggestion here that I think Vestas is basically trying to get an extra 20 years of life on a patented concept that, They, are potentially using on a daily basis for that construction purpose. They found another way to describe that same technology and as an anti oscillation tool. Allen Hall: You ever seen a device called a slap chopper, Phil? No. It slices and it dices. Oh, that thing. Yeah, I have. I have. So what they've To have done, in a sense, is they've taken the Slapchopper and got a patent for slicing, and then when that got close to expiring, they came back and said, well, it dices too, which is a separate patent, and thereby you can extend the same device for Covering two areas. It's very unique way of patenting and very effective by the way. It's smart. Phil Totaro: Yeah, it is. If, if you're trying to capture and protect your IP, but it also doesn't say much for the patent examiners we've ever had in this industry who can't seem to recognize that this is what companies are doing because this is not the first time this has happened. I can recall a few examples in the past where companies had You know, had, their 20 years of patent protection on a concept and then repatented basically the same thing and said, Oh, well, it's not for cooling. It's for vibration damping, or it's not for one thing. It's for something else. So it looks like that's what's happening here. And, I guess kudos to Vestas for trying and maybe not so many kudos to the U. S. Patent Office for allowing stuff like this to get pushed Allen Hall: through. Roncopeel made a living doing that. If you're familiar with Ronco, it's Christmas time and every Christmas you would have another Ronco product, which slices, dices, cooked a chicken or something.

Será que você respira bem enquanto dorme? Ronca?

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

They cover:How teams are ineffectively identifying and prioritizing the right accountsWhy teams struggle with engaging VPs and the C-suite, which is what's needed to drive stage progression. How teams are failing to get customer-centric and how they are not using data and account intelligence to guide content, messaging, and interactions. Welcome to Episode 1337; part of our new Italian wine interview series set in Dusseldorf, Germany. Today Joy Livingston interviews Enrico Coser of Ronco dei Tassi winery. Stevie Kim and her team travelled to Dusseldorf, Germany this March to collaborate with ITA, the Italian Trade Agency. ITA was organizing some incredible Masterclasses featuring the best wines Italy has to offer. Each masterclass was led by the Master Sommelier Eros Teboni (awarded Best Sommelier Worldwide in 2018), and they wanted us there to document the amazing 3 days! Tune-in each Thursday as we bring you the great interviews that unfolded over the course of 3 days. More about today's guest: Enrico Coser's wine was featured in the “Bordeaux Blends of Italy” masterclass. The Friuli region, located in north-eastern Italy on the Slovenian border, is renowned for being home to some of Italy's most avant-garde winemakers. Ronco dei Tassi, however, stands out from the crowd with its firm commitment to tradition, producing layered, elegant wines that speak of the terroir and the land from which they come. The winery is guided by Fabio Coser, previously a consulting oenologist in the area, who purchased the estate in 1989 with his wife, Daniela. At the time, the property comprised about 22 acres, 10 of which were already planted to vine, in the heart of the Collio Goriziano in the township of Cormòns. The name of the winery itself is closely tied to the region: “ronco” is the word in Friulian dialect to describe a “hillside, terraced vineyard,” while “tassi” refers to the badgers who often pay visit to the vineyards to enjoy the harvest's juiciest grapes. Sons Matteo and Enrico have joined the family business and the estate has grown to over 30 hectares (75acres), 18 (45 acres) of which are planted to vines. The remainder of the land has been left as woodland, considered essential to maintaining the delicate balance between cultivation and forest, allowing sustainable agricultural practices to be implemented most effectively. The estate is ideally positioned at the boundary of the Plessiva Natural Park, an oasis protected by the Friuli region, and as such provides a safe haven and ideal habitat for local flora and fauna to flourish. The family firmly believes in the value of protecting this little corner of paradise, acting as a guarantee to ensure the future of this splendid territory and its wines. More about the winery: https://roncodeitassi.it/en/ More about the interviewer: Joy Livingston is the Producer of Italian Wine Podcast. Narrator extraordinaire and Scienza whisperer Joy Livingston has been known to edit the occasional book from time to time. When Joy is not busy Producing the podcast she is also working hard on the Mamma Jumbo Shrimp YouTube channel where many of the interviews stream on video! Let's keep in touch! Too often, marketing and Human Resources seem to speak different languages, which is a shame, because they have so much in common. The message that happy employees equals happy customers is ignored by too many companies. That's we brought Brett Marz, co-founder at BAMKO (not to be mistaken for Ronco). Haven't heard of BAMKO? They're a more than $200 million company that designs, manufactures, and delivers award-winning branded merchandise for some of the world's biggest brands, typically supporting employee engagement items. Needless to say, he has a lot to say on the disconnect between marketing and talent acquisition, and you're going to hear about it. Enjoy.

Saudações, ouvintes apaixonados por locução. Está NO AR o 67º podcast VOZ OFF! I'm Steven Jack Butala.Jill K DeWit:And I'm Jill DeWit, broadcasting from awesome Dallas, Texas.Steven Jack Butala:Today, Jill and I talk about what the real-time commitment is to run your land business. Doesn't matter where you are, you might be on the road in an RV or you might be in your 20 years-plus office.Jill K DeWit:Yeah, that's the thing. Most people come to us having full, awesome, brilliant careers, really smart. We have a lot of very smart brainy people, scientists and pilots, and analysts and accountants in Land Academy. And you've got pharmacists. You know who you are. You've got time commitments, you've got little kids and so it's a really valid question. Like, Boy, I want to do this, but I can't give 40 hours. I can't even for sure say I can give 20. So what is the real-time commitment I need to start and run my own land business? And that's what we're going to talk about today.Steven Jack Butala:Before we get into it, let's take a question posted by one of our members on a landinvestors.com online community, it's free. Before we get to that, did you know that we have a commercial printing company solely created to help you get inexpensive direct mail offers in the hands of sellers quickly? It's called Offers 2 Owners. Offers the number 2owners.com. Jill and I set this company up several years ago and now we've share... We're obviously, now sharing it with members and non-members. Today, fast forward to today, we mail about seven to 800,000 offers a month, and we can do everything for you from start to finish, pulling the data, scrubbing it, collecting comps, and getting it even in first class mail if you'd like to, call 800-725-8816 or email support@offers2owners.com for more information. Nice script writing.Jill K DeWit:Thank you very much.Steven Jack Butala:I appreciate that. You clean that up pretty well.Jill K DeWit:I did. Josiah wrote this is the first email from the seller. Talk about an easy transaction. So here we go. In quotes, "Mr. Ronco, my name is John Smith. I own 40 acres of land in County USA. You recently sent me an offer to purchase it for the sum of $58,244 and 27 cents. The APN is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. I'm currently considering listing my property with a local realtor for the sum of $125,000. I have done a comparable market analysis, CMA and similar properties around mine have sold for around $3,000 an acre. My property is as good or better. I have no liens, no past-due taxes. I have no encumbrances ever or currently. There's no debris." This is nice. I can't believe the seller wrote all this. "There's no debris, mobile homes, structure, automobiles, or trash on my property. The property is primarily oak woodlands with about six acres cleared.I left occasional trees on the cleared land for aesthetics. The property is beautiful. That being said, I will sell you my property for $60,000 under the following conditions." So I want to back up for just a second there. So the offer was-Steven Jack Butala:58.Jill K DeWit:58, so he says make it 60 even. And he thinks you can get 125. Okay. So, okay, "That being said, I will sell you my property for $60,000 under the following conditions. I pay no closing costs, recording fees, or any associated costs of the transfer session of my property to you or your company. In addition, we must close transfer, complete the sale within two weeks of signing the sales contract."Steven Jack Butala:Love that.Jill K DeWit:I checked out the property and the comps and that's the end of the thing. So I'm like done, done and done. That's who we are. So Josiah went on to write, I checked out the property and I checked out the comps. The guy isn't lying. It's worth $125,000 all day and we might even be able to push the price higher because it's so beautiful, perfect for hunting and growing pine.
