Ikka juhtub. Kui vaadata tagasi, siis 2008 oligi tipphetk. Sõitjana. Prantsusmaa karikavõistluste etappidel, kus sõitsid koos nii profid kui ka amatöörid, oli pidevalt pildil. Edestas sõitudel prantslaste legendi Jeannie Longot ennast. Võiks selle vabalt visiitkaardile kirjutada. Vahepeal tekkis isegi lootus, et pääseb Pekingi olümpiale. Ta lõpetas 2009. aastal, kuna üks jalg kadus piltlikult öeldes alt ära. Närvivalu tegi liiga. Lisaks on Lepasalu tänasel päeval veendunud, et ta oli konstantselt ületreenitud. Hästi palju sõltus toona treeneritest ja tugivõrgustikust, mis minu puhul jättis ilmselgelt soovida. „Ise ma ei julgenud puhkeperioode teha, sest kohe tekkis kartus, et tulevad ülekilod ja kõik läheb käest ära,“ kirjeldab Laura noore naisvõidusõitja kartusi. Ta meenutab ühist laagrit leedulastega. Kolm korda päevas treeningud, kui üles ärkasime, siis kohe puki peale. „Rene Mandri vaatas mu treeningpäevikut ja imestas: „Sul oli märtsis 92 treeningtundi!? Tällä viikolla OlympiaCastin vieraana on Jon Sallinen. Vuonna 2000 syntynyt Sallinen on tällä hetkellä lajinsa, freeskin halfpipen, yksinäinen suomalaisnimi maailman parhaiden joukossa. Jon Sallinen säväytti uutenavuotena Calgaryssä sijoittumalla maailmancup-osakilpailussa kuudenneksi. Tuo sijoitus varmisti Salliselle käytännössä valintakelpoisuuden Pekingin olympialaisiin lajissa, jonka olympiahistoria tuntee aiemmin vain yhden suomalaisen – Sotšissa kahdeksanneksi sijoittuneen Antti-Jussi Kemppaisen. - Se oli tosi iso juttu minulle. Kauden ensimmäisessä maailmancupissa minulla tuli treeneissä hiusmurtuma solisluuhun, enkä ollut varma, pääsenkö edes Calgaryyn laskemaan. Tein Suomessa fyssarin kanssa hommia, jotta saataisiin se kuntoon. Calgaryssä se tuntui ihan hyvältä. Päätin tehdä puhtaan ranin, enkä yrittää liikaa. Sain sen tehtyä, ja se riitti finaaliin ja siellä kuudenteen sijaan. Se on urani isoin saavutus tähän mennessä, Sallinen myhäilee. - Se tulos osoitti, että minulla on mahdollisuus maailman parhaita vastaan. Vaikka en ollut täydessä kunnossa, pääsin finaaliin. Mitä voinkaan tehdä, kun pääsen sataprosenttiseen kuntoon ja saan A-laskuni puhtaasti laskettua? Freeski on olympialajina tuore tapaus, ja varsinkin Suomessa halfpipe on jäänyt sen alalajeistakin slopestylen ja big airin varjoon. Sallinen onkin oiva ihminen avaamaan lajin saloja ennen Pekingin olympialaisia. - Tulin jenkkeihin lukioon, ja pääsin Aspenissa laskemaan tosi paljon paippia. Huomasin, että täällä on tosi paljon hyviä paippilaskijoita. Toisin kuin Suomessa, en ollut enää parhaasta päästä, ja piti koittaa ottaa muut kiinni. Sitä kautta tuli kiehtovuus – kehityin parissa vuodessa tosi nopeasti ja tuli tosi paljon uusia temppuja. Se veti minut lopullisesti halfpipen puoleen, Sallinen kertoo. Sallisen tarina onkin myös kuvaus nykyajan huippu-urheilusta – maailman ovet ovat merkittävästi lähempänä kuin ennen. Helsingissä varttunut Sallinenkin on hakenut uralleen vauhtia lajin hallitsijamaasta, Yhdysvalloista. - Kun kisasin ensimmäisiä kisoja Nor-Am-cupissa halfpipessa, taso oli kymmenen kedrtaa kovempi kuin SM-kisoissa on koskaan ollut. Katselin vain, että mihin minä olen joutunut – enhän minä tällaista vielä osaa. Kun näkee sen tason, se tuo innostusta itsellekin. Päätin, että haluan olla tuolla tasolla – kyllähän minä ne varmasti osaan tehdä, kun olen niitä tehnyt vaikka slopestyle-hyppyreistä, Sallinen muistelee Kaliforniasta käsin.

The narrator is a health care aide who cares for a disabled woman (Betty) as best as possible and tends to her many hamsters, including Brutus, with the ultimate compassion. It seems that Betty’s real confidant and friend is not the hamster she obsesses over in the story, but the young man who cleans out the hamster cages, cooks her meals, and buries her once-beloved rodents in the backyard. Kergejõustikuteemalise taskuhäälingusaate "Staadionijutud" 11. osas on külalise rollis kaugus- ja kolmikhüppaja Tähti Alver, kes kerkis möödunud nädalavahetusel toimunud Eesti meistrivõistlustel rambivalgusse. Tallinnast tugeva majandustaustaga perest pärit Alver parandas oma kõrvalal kaugushüppes isiklikku rekordit mitmekümne sentimeetriga, viies tippmargi 6.54-ni. Ühtlasi tõi see kogu võistluse ühel oodatumal ja põnevamal alal täpselt ühesentimeetrise võidu Ksenija Balta ees, kes oli viimati Eesti meistrivõistlustel oma põhialal kullata jäänud 2007. aastal. "Esmaspäeval tööle minnes oli küll eriline tunne. Kolleegid tulid juurde ja õnnitlesid," ütleb SEB pangas arendusjuhina töötav Alver. "Ka pühapäev oli muidugi väga emotsionaalne päev isikliku rekordi tõttu. Uni ei tahtnud kergelt tulla, kuna telefon oli õnnesoovidest umbes. Mul on tõesti hea meel, kui paljudele inimestele see tulemus korda läks." Olgugi et Alver säras juba TV 10 olümpiastarti sarjas ja ta meenutab tänaseni, kuivõrd oluline oli talle toona selle võistlussarja kaudu esimese päris oma ratta võitmine, kerkis ta täiskasvanute klassis Eesti tippu oodatust hiljem, pärast pikka vigastuspausi 19-20aastasena. "Mul oli väga raske vaadata eemalt noorte tiitlivõistlusi, kuna teadsin, et minu koht pidanuks ka seal olema. Ma arvan, et mul on selline sisemine jõud, mis aitas pikast vigastuspausist üle saada. Mõned imestavad tänaseni, et kuidas ma sellest kõigest välja tulin," sõnab 25-aastane Alver. Sel suvel on Alver jaganud aega töö, kergejõustiku ja disc-golfi (eesti k. kettagolf) vahel. Neist viimase juurde on sportlase toonud tema elukaaslane ja oluline abijõud, kes on käinud Alverile viimastel aastatel kaasa elamas suisa kõigil välisvõistlustel. "Isegi pühapäeval enne kaugushüppevõistlust käisime natuke disc-golfi mängimas. Mängin disc-golfi tihti ka pärast õhtusööki, et end natuke liigutada ja mitte liiga laisaks muutuda," räägib Alver. Nagu selgub, mängivad Alveri tulemustes kindlasti rolli ka treeningutes tehtud muudatused. "Võtsin sel suvel kaugushüppes hoojooksu kaks sammu pikemaks. Ma arvan, et see on tulnud kevadistest jooksutrennidest, tänu millele on kiirust juurde tekkinud ja ma ei mahu enam 16 sammu vahele ära," ütleb hiljutise vigastuse tõttu ettevalmistusperioodil tänavu varasemast hoopis vähem hüppeid ja rohkem jooksu teinud Alver, kes peab oma raskeimateks trennideks jõusaalis toimuvaid harjutuskordi. Seekordses saates kuuleme muuhulgas ka Alveri tööst panganduses, treeningmahtudest, erinevatest rekorditest, konkurentsist ning kolmik- ja kaugushüppe tehnilistest nüanssidest. Karin Holm, Tukholma Syntynyt 11.2.1921 Tallinn, Eesti Kuollut 30.10.2016 Tukholma Sota-alueelle 1942 Asemapaikka Seesjärvi Tehtävät Näyttelijä Aunuksen teatterissa, toimistotehtävät esikunnassa Selviytyi Elisenvaaran pommituksesta 20.6.1944, joka oli jatko- ja koko toisen maailmansodan tuhoisin lentopommitus Suomen hallitsemalla alueella. Pommituksesta vaiettiin vuosikymmenet. Palasi rintamalta Sodan loputtua 1944 Ammatti Näyttelijä, toimistovirkailija Muutti Ruotsiin 1951 Perhe Neljä lasta Suomen sodat Talvisota syttyi 30.11.1939 ja päättyi 13.3.1940. Talvisodan syttyessä syntyi talvisodan henki, suomalaisten horjumaton puolustustahto ja yksimielisyys. Välirauhan jälkeen alkanut jatkosota käytiin 25.6.1941-4.9.1944. Sodan viimeinen vaihe oli Lapin sota 15.9.1944-27.4.1945. Sotiin osallistui yhteensä noin 600 000 miestä ja 100 000 naista Nuorimmat rintamalle joutuneista olivat vasta 17-vuotiaita.  Joka kahdeksas sotiin osallistuneista menehtyi.  Heistä, jotka palasivat, pysyvän sotavamman oli saanut joka neljäs.  Sodat jättivät jälkeensä 30 000 leskeä ja yli 50 000 sotaorpoa.  Yli puoli miljoonaa ihmistä menetti kotinsa. Näyttelijä Ville Virtanen kasvoi perheeseen missä isä oli julkisuuden henkilö Suomessa, tunnettu tv-persoona Jukka Virtanen. - Silloin saa vähän liikaa huomiota ja ehkä valtaakin, mutta kun aikuiset ihmiset puhuttelivat minua lapsena huomasin etteivät he puhuneet minulle. He puhuivat oikeesti isälleni, Ville kertoo. Hän muistaa myös koska tunsi tulleensa ensimmäistä kertaa huomatuksi omana itsenään. Hän oli mennyt salaa tammatalliin kun yksi hevosista nosti päänsä ja katsoi. - Muistan sen hetken. Tulin huomatuksi minuna. Se ei ajatellut "mitä tuo julkkiksen lapsi täällä pyörii" vaan että "terve mitä poika, miten toinen elävä". Sama elämys vei myös ratsastuksen maailmaan. Vuonna 2011 Svinalängorna-elokuvassa nähty suomalainen näyttelijä Ville Virtanen piipahti Finska Pinnarissa kertomassa uudesta Ei kiitos-elokuvasta, missä hän näyttelee hellää, siistiä ja seksiä karttavaa Mattia.
