Rava asks: If one takes a fistful of the grain and squeezes out the oil onto wood, does mean the fistful is missing its oil? Would that be invalid for an offering? How is that oil paralleled in animal sacrifice? (Or isn't it parallel?) Also, a new mishnah: Grain-offerings which haven't yet had the fistful taken from either one, and now the grain is mixed together - can they each have the fistful taken, or are they too blended? If the latter, then they're both invalid. The Gemara follows, with a dispute between Rav Hisda and Rabbi Hanina, regarding how meat that came to be in a mixture between impure meat and pure meat - when is the one kind negated or nullified in the other kind?

Hebrews says Christ offered one sacrifice for sins for ever — and amen to that. But Hebrews never says God will never again use physical ordinances to govern worship among mortal nations. If that were the standard, then even the Lord's Supper would be suspect. Bread and wine do not re-crucify Christ, and Millennial sacrifices do not diminish the cross. They do the same thing in different dispensations — they point backward. The Church Age remembers Calvary with symbols, the Kingdom Age will remember Calvary with substance.“Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:6,7 (KJB)On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we take a deep-dive into the Temple that will be built, not for the Tribulation, but for the Millennial Reign of King Jesus when He sits on the throne of David in Jerusalem. We know that the Temple built in the Tribulation is for Antichrist, and that's a Bible Study for another day. When this Temple is built, according to the prophets, it will contain many of the aspects of Temple worship we see in Old Testament, including animal sacrifice. This is the point where the Greek and Hebrews scholars cry “heresy!” and run for the door because they don't rightly divide and they don't understand dispensational attributes and differences. Tonight we will endeavor to show you the Millennial Temple of King Jesus in all its coming glory.

Commonplace, dispensational Christianity hits some major hurdles when one slowly and contextually reads the accounts of the post-resurrection Assembly. Here we see Paul instructed by the elders of the Assembly to join alongside others in a Nazarite vow, which the Book of Numbers tells us included purification rituals and... animal sacrifices. And why was he to do this? To expose the *false accusations* that he was teaching people to "forsake Moses." What are we to make of this? Is this merely Paul "being all things to all men" or is it something much deeper that most have missed? Let's find out!

To modern sensibilities, such practices may seem foreign, even unsettling. Yet these sacrifices were never barbaric rituals devoid of meaning. They were sacred signs, visible declarations of an invisible reality: sin creates a debt, and reconciliation demands atonement.The Israelites, chosen to bear divine truth in a world shrouded in darkness, obeyed this command with reverence. Each unblemished lamb placed upon the altar, each offering consumed by sacred fire, testified to the weight of sin and the desperate human need to be restored to God. The Temple sacrifices were not empty motions; they were solemn reminders that sin costs something and that holiness requires blood.And yet, this system was never meant to stand forever. No ritual, no matter how meticulously observed, could cleanse the human heart. These sacrifices were shadows, holy signposts pointing forward to a far greater reality, a redemptive plan set in motion “before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4). As Scripture declares, “it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Hebrews 10:4). The altar prepared the way, but it could not complete the work.Then, in the fullness of time, the answer arrived.Jesus Christ entered the story, not as another offering, but as the offering. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). In Him, the fragmented symbols of ancient worship are gathered and fulfilled. God Himself stepped into the brokenness of human existence. The eternal Word became flesh and dwelt among us, fully divine and fully human. On the cross, Christ carried the crushing weight of our guilt, spanning the infinite gulf that sin had carved between heaven and earth.The sacrifices of old were provisional, divine lessons training the hearts of God's people to recognize the magnitude of what was to come. In Jesus, sacrifice reaches its perfection. He is both High Priest and spotless Victim, offering Himself freely, not as a cold transaction, but as an act of unfathomable love. With His final breath, the Temple system met its completion, and the Savior's cry echoed through eternity: “It is finished” (John 19:30).Now, standing in the light of this finished work, we are confronted with a question that cannot be ignored. Do we grasp the depth of Christ's sacrifice? Have we allowed His love to transform us?
