Die Online Business University, ihr Ganzjahres-Gruppencoaching-Programm, wo sie UnternehmerInnen ein ganzes Jahr bei ihrem Online Business Aufbau begleitet. Denn die University bietet einen klaren roten Faden durch den Online Business Aufbau und zeigt, was man braucht und was nicht und auch wann. Die meisten Programme bieten nur kleine Puzzle-Teile wie z.B. Facebook Ads und zeigen nicht das große Bild. Außerdem dauern sie meist nur wenige Wochen und ein Online Business Aufbau dauert viel länger! Was ist die Marketing Geheimwaffe von Meike und wie ist ihr Marketing aufgebaut? Ihre Ethik und Ehrlichkeit: Sie verspricht nichts und hält viel. Bei ihr wirst du nie große Zahlen an den Kopf geknallt bekommen, denn ihren idealen Kunden ist ihre persönliche Freiheit viel wichtiger als Geld. Sie wollen von ihrem Herzens-Business gut leben können, sie wollen ihren Kunden gut helfen können und dazu eben auch genügend Kunden haben und sie wollen sich nicht den ganzen Tag den Kopf über Marketing zerbrechen, sondern einfach nur einen klaren Leitfaden haben, an dem sie sich orientieren. Welchen Nutzen hat der Kunde, wenn er mit Meike zusammenarbeitet? Klarheit, Leichtigkeit, Begleitung, ihre volle Präsens, ethisch-moralische Korrektheit, no bullshit. Sie redet nur über Dinge, die sie selbst getan hat und auch versteht Welchen Tipp hat Meike für dich, wenn du dein Einkommen deutlich erhöhen willst? Also in ihren Augen liegen die Chancen für uns Einzel-UnternehmerInnen ganz klar online! Und da bist du heute nicht nur Coach oder Trainer, sondern irgendwie ein Medien-Unternehmen. Ihr liegt es z.B. gar nicht sonderlich, sich ständig so zu zeigen auf Social Media und Co, aber seit sie es tut, hat sich ihr Business erst so richtig entwickelt. Es gehört also schon eine Online Präsenz dazu! Was war der schlimmste Moment für Meike, ihr größter Fehler, bzw. Ihre größte Herausforderung als Unternehmerin? Vieles – einer davon war: Sich online zu zeigen: Sie war schon lange sehr erfolgreich mit ihren Online Kursen und Webinaren und hat trotzdem immer nur ihren Bildschirm gezeigt. Alle Versuche sich auf Video zu zeigen, hat sie immer wieder eingestampft. Das war ein jahrelanger Kampf mit mir selbst. Heute siehst du Meike ständig auf Video. Zum Glück kann sie dieses Problem in sich nicht mehr finden! Wie wichtig ist für Meike Geld und macht Geld sie glücklich? Geld ist dann enorm wichtig, wenn man keines hat! Sie war ganz lange tief in Schulden, als alleinerziehende Mutter und Unternehmerin hatte sie nie ein Budget und musste sich immer zu helfen wissen. Ganz oft wusste sie nicht, wie sie ihre Miete zahlen kann. In so einer Situation ist Geld extrem wichtig. Wenn du Angst hast, mit deinen Kindern unter der Brücke wohnen zu müssen, dann nimmt Geld einen großen Stellenraum ein. Doch wenn die laufenden Rechnungen bezahlt werden können und man sich auch einen kleinen Luxus, wie Reisen und Fortbildungen leisten kann, tritt Geld sehr schnell in den Hintergrund. Sie wollte noch nie „Trümmer“ ansammeln, im Gegenteil: Ausmisten ist äußerst wohltuend. Sie fühlt sich mit wenigen Dingen viel freier. Auch ihre idealen Kunden werden nicht durch Ferrari Bilder & Co angelockt, sondern wünschen sich einfach genügend Kunden und eine gewisse Freiheit und Leichtigkeit in Bezug auf Geld. Verändert Geld den Charakter? Sie findet den Spruch „Geld verstärkt den Charakter“ viel wahrer Wie trifft Meike ihre Entscheidungen? Welche Entscheidungsfindungsstrategie hat sie? Wie geht sie an scheinbar unlösbare Aufgaben heran? Wie gesagt, die inneren Bilder sind für unser Leben enorm wichtig. Oft hilft es, dies erst zuerst im Außen zu zeichnen, daher skizziert sie oft die Ist-Situation. Außerdem glaubt sie daran, dass unser Unbewusstes über alle Lösungen verfügt. Daher denkt sie oft einfach vor dem Schlafen gehen noch einmal intensiv, wie die Situation ausschaut und was sie gerne hätte und dann präsentiert sich die Lösung oft sehr schnell – it’s magic! Wie bekommt Meike ihren „inneren Schweinehund“ in den Griff? Wie motivierst sie sich, wenn sie mal keine richtige Lust hat, etwas zu tun, was getan werden muss? Sie glaubt nicht an den inneren Schweinehund. Wenn man nicht motiviert ist, etwas zu tun, dann hat das entweder einfach keine Priorität in unserem Leben oder wir haben keine klare Vorstellung davon was zu tun ist – da helfen nun wieder die klaren inneren Bilder. Wenn du nicht vorankommst, nimm dir die Zeit, dich zu fragen, was da gerade los ist! Wie hast Meike es geschafft, Ihre Leidenschaft zu finden Ihre großen Leidenschaften sind das Lehren und die Potenzialentfaltung. Sie hat schon als Schülerin viel Nachhilfe gegeben und wollte immer verstehen, warum manche Kinder sich so schwertun – daraus wurde dann später auch ihr Lerncoaching-Institut. Auf der anderen Seite glaubt sie daran, dass jeder ständig über sich hinauswachsen kann, wenn er nur will. Diese Leidenschaften hat sie schon in vielen Formen gelebt und weitergegeben. Ein eigenes Business aufzubauen (und da ist heute der Online-Weg ein cleverer) ist eine Möglichkeit der Persönlichkeits-Entwicklung, die einen täglich lernen und täglich über sich hinauswachsen lässt. Von daher kann sie ihre große Leidenschaft hier jeden Tag voll leben. Welche Werte sind für Meike wichtig? Klarheit, Demut, Freiheit, Liebe, Dankbarkeit, Verbundenheit Was hat Meike ursprünglich davon zurückgehalten, Unternehmer zu werden? Das muss man schon aktiv wollen, alle Strukturen in der Gesellschaft sind gegenläufig Was bedeutet Erfolg für Meike? If you're holding back your personality in business, you're losing money. Simple as. The key takeaways: One of the biggest benefits of running an online business is the fact that you don’t have to sit there, pretending to smile. You can always switch off the camera. Nobody can see you. You can be making all of those ugly faces, groaning inwardly at the stupidity of human nature, and whoever you’re dealing with won’t even know it. You can’t do that in real life because they can read it on your face. It’s kind of hard to fake enthusiasm, love and devotion when you are face-to-face with people, but you can totally do that on the Internet. You have to decide at the get-go whether you want to be a “hell, yes” for 50% of the people and “hell, no” for the other 50% or a “whatever” for 100%. Being a “whatever” in business is a kiss of death – you want people to sit up and take notice when you say something. When you hold back your personality in business, you actually lose money because you’re attracting wrong people. They might end up being on your list, but they will never buy from you. Or they might buy from you and then they will make your life hell. Or they may be ideal customers and buy from you, but then when something goes wrong and you show your true colours, they’ll be like, “who is this psycho?” The fact is you’ve always been a psycho, you’ve just been hiding it and they were mistaken. It’s a loss for everyone. When it comes to free ways of growing your list, hands down the best strategy is guest blogging. Nothing compares to it. Bushra’s first 2,000 subscribers came from a guest post, as did her first sale – that is the power of a well-placed, well-crafted guest post. Honestly, if you are looking to grown your audience from scratch, and you don’t know where to start, reach out to top industry blogs in your field and just beg them, bribe them, or just go sit at their doorstep to get them to let you guest blog. Even if they don’t give you a link back, that does not matter. And I didn't even have to take my clothes off ;) Bag giant-ass contracts that everyone in the company had given up on, because I knew exactly which buttons to press. Influence people through written word…emails, blog posts, pitches or break-up letters…I did all and won most. I am also the office go-to person for softening down or toughening up the tone of critical emails, negotiate better timings, better rates and better treatment… often without a precedent. Now the interesting thing is when she decided to start an online business in April 2014, she told no one. "I didn't want to tarnish my reputation as a consultant, even my husband just knew I was starting a site, he didn't know what it was. I didn't even use my full name in the beginning, because I had a respectable Google presence." "I was intrigued by this idea of making money online. Consulting is trading dollars for hours — you get paid for what you work on. I'd always wanted to try something different and if I want to travel to visit family or take a vacation or travel back home, with an online business I can take my work with me." So in just three years, and with a site that was less than finished, she has hit the ground running, and now can teach us all how to make money online with none of the icky sales stuff that most of us get hung up by. So was three years about right to get her to where she is today, or does she look back and see many corners that she could have cut off in the timeline? It’s an unusual, hilarious story that worked out for her to the tune of millions, and you’ll get to hear it from Bushra herself on this episode. Since I had an expert on the power of persuasion as my guest on this episode of the podcast I thought I’d take the opportunity to ask her for some tips regarding how to be more persuasive. The first point she made was that persuasion begins with relatability. The person on the receiving end of your pitch has to feel that you are like them in some way, or at least that you were before you learned what you want to teach them. If they feel you are perfect and have it all together, they won’t believe that you can help them. But if you can show them how you are or were in the same situation they want to change in their own life, you’ve just connected with them on the level of relatability - and you’ve probably gained a customer or client. How believable are you to those you’re trying to sell to? We’ve all seen the infomercials where something about the presentation or the person making the pitch doesn’t feel trustworthy. You just can’t quite get yourself to believe that the thing that’s being sold really does all that is being claimed. That’s an issue of believability and Bushra Azhar says that it’s one of the key things you’ve got to be able to establish when you’re trying to sell a product or service. You have to come across as genuine, as trustworthy and believable to the people who need what you’re offering. If you don’t, you can forget about making the sale. It simply won’t happen.
