Tribe Delta celebrates 1 year! Its easier than ever to read scripture, books are everywhere, you can listen to it, it's on your phone, and even on your watch. Are you just reading or memorizing the scripture, taking it in, and living it out? We need to write the scripture in our hearts to make us the men God created us to be. This allows us to be changed through scripture, understand the wisdom, dwell on the wisdom, and impart the wisdom when we and others need wisdom. Memorize and reflect on the verses below: The 12 Men's Alliance Memory Verses Lead your family in learning one each month. Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9 – If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:13 – Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Col 1:15 – The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Eph 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4:12 – Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Heb 12:1-2 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mensalliancetribe/support

Choose Your Future, 2021, is part of KW Digital: Open Secret, 16 July - 31 December. joshuacitarella.com/chooseyourfuture/ www.kw-berlin.de/en/open-secret/ In 2021, I commissioned a group of artists and memers to write short wiki-style descriptions of fantastical future scenarios. Writers were instructed to copy/paste existing wikipedia entries and “play mad libs” with the nouns and dates. Drawing on movements from the past, these short stories recombine political history to anticipate long tail ideologies and factions that may soon emerge. Choose Your Future takes the hyperbolic imaginings of young people, raised on the internet, and puts their words directly into the mouths of content creators. In this way, the project emulates the signal amplification that occurs through social media, as radical takes move from the anonymous fringe into the verified mainstream. Is this the multi-faceted analysis of the Rand Corporation? Or is it a teenage meme poster who thinks it would be cool if these political keywords combined? I'm interested in the point where those spheres overlap. This project combines the creative efforts of some of the artists, memers and content creators that have most inspired me over the past few years. Texts by: Margo Bergamini, Nick Bird, @ manletpill, David Noel, Abbey Pusz, D.Z. Rowan and Joshua Citarella. Read by: Caroline Busta, Mat Dryhurst, A.M. Gittlitz, Daniel Keller, Anna Khachiyan, Holly Herndon, Lil' Internet, Jack Wagner and Joshua Citarella. --- Open Secret is a six-month long online program exploring the role of the hidden in our apparently “open” society. Information technologies are supposed to increase our access to knowledge, making the world more legible, while undermining ignorance and superstition. But sometimes the feeling prevails that we have entered a new dark age of black boxes, projections, and paranoia. Techno-culture is obsessed with the unseen, the inaccessible, the known-unknown. Open Secret pursues things that are obscured–through artistic commissions, a suite of essays by leading thinkers, and an intensive public program dedicated to critical reappraisal of the digital infrastructures that organize civic life. With new contributions released on a monthly basis, the Open Secret website will bring together art, technology, politics, and new patterns of exchange. Curators: Nadim Samman, curator digital sphere, in collaboration with Katja Zeidler, head of education & mediation

Episode NotesWhat is does it mean to be a North Carolina Tar Heel basketball player? In this week’s episode, Neil sits down with two former North Carolina Tar heel basketball players, David Noel and Brandon Robinson. Noel was a key player in the 2005 National Championship team. Robinson was a key player on the 2017 National Championship team. Neil put on the full-court press to find out why North Carolina versus Duke is the best rivalry in college basketball and possibly in sports. They also discuss the impact Coach Roy Williams has had in the lives of these two players and the Carolina culture. Learn how lessons learned at North Carolina have had lasting effects. This is a special episode for Neil, as a lifelong Tar heel fan and an episode any Tar heel fan will enjoy. Join me as we lace up our Jordan 11 shoes and learn what it feels like to play hard, play smart and play together.•Where did the “Tar Heels” nickname come from? The term “tar heel” dates back to North Carolina’s early history, when the state was a leading producer of supplies for the naval industry. Workers who distilled turpentine from the sticky sap of pine trees and burned pine boughs to produce tar and pitch often went barefoot during hot summer months and undoubtedly collected tar on their heels. To call someone a “rosin heel” or “tar heel” was to imply that they worked in a lowly trade.During the Civil War, North Carolina soldiers flipped the meaning of the term and turned an epithet into an accolade. They called themselves “tar heels” as an expression of state pride. Others adopted the term, and North Carolina became widely known as the “Tar Heel State.”In the 1880s, when UNC teams began competing in intercollegiate sports, they needed a nickname. There does not appear to have been any debate over what to call the teams and how to express school spirit. They were then, and have always been Tar Heels.•Remember when you walk in Other People's Shoes you get a different perspective!•Other People's Shoes would love your financial gift to help support the show click here•Have questions or want to give feedback call or text: 203-548-SHOE•If you enjoy the show you can subscribe to us on your favorite podcast platforms, so you don't miss an episode.
Besides scrubbing David Noel's playlist of all things, R. Kelly, the Player, and the Fan dives into the hot topics of sports. Has Jalen Green changed the trajectory of high school students? With his recent one-year development deal for the NBA G-League and $500k signing bonus, Green's recent decision has started the conversation of whether HS athletes will now look to head straight to the league and forgo their college experience. Over the next few years, will we see a decline of elite players in the NCAA? Noel and Luck also discuss UNC Basketball news with Cole Anthony heading to the 2020 NBA Draft, Brandon Huffman transferring, and what does the ideal lineup look like for an incoming star-studded freshman class. *We attempted a new way to record due to social distancing; we apologize for any raised noise levels. They will be corrected in the next episode.
It's "Throwback Thursday" as Reese and K-Mac welcome Phil Spence from the 1974 NC State National Championship team as well as David Noel and Jawad Williams from the 2005 UNC National Championship team. The crew also welcomes actor Dennis White, who has recently recovered after contracting the coronavirus.
David and Leif discuss the business they have built helping sports brands enter China and Chinese corporate brands enter the US, the latter of which we dive into a bit more to learn more about how purely China-centric brands look at market entry into North America. We also discuss the different aspects of relationship building with their North American clients vs. their Chinese clients. After asking Dave and Leif to talk about the secret sauce that makes Red Phoenix so successful, it segue's perfectly into the next topic of why it's so important to leverage the help of agencies or experts who know how to do business in China at a granular level who've experienced not just the geography but also the culture. We then move onto the topic of sports in China and the opportunities that lie in that industry, beyond sports, in general, to include health and fitness in general. We discuss their 5 tiers to success in brand building for sports brands, which includes boots-on-the-ground initiatives like camps and grassroots development as well as government relations. We also discuss where the money is flowing in sports in China, where David cites a very deliberate effort from the top down in China's culture that clearly understands how important sports can be to a country's economy.Near the end, we do bring up the now-famous tweet from a prominent NBA executive that got the NBA in hot water in China in order to discuss the importance of understanding cultural sensitivities when entering a new market especially when you don't have a good grasp of its native language nor its history. Now more than ever it is important to understand what topics one should avoid and issues to let lie.

Happy Birthday lieber Podcast! Happy Birthday, Podcast. Danke von Herzen an Euch! It’s been a fast-moving off-season. Hell, a lot has happened since we recorded THIS podcast (i.e. the free agent frenzy). Nonetheless, we soldier on and deliver you a recap of just some of the things that happened since the Stanley Cup was awarded. Among our topics for Episode #160: * Our beers. * The Vegas Golden Knights selected their team and pried David Perron away from the Blues in the process. * The trade of Jori Lehtera and two first-round picks to the Flyers for Brayden Schenn as well as the circumstances leading to that trade. * The trade of Ryan Reaves and a second-round pick to the Penguins for Oskar Sundqvist and a first-round pick and how awesome of a trade that was. * The drafting of Robert Thomas, Klim Kostin (!!!), Alexey Toropchenko, David Noel, Trenton Bourque and Anton Andersson into the Blues’ prospect pool. * A small peek ahead into free agency (which hadn’t happened yet as of this recording).
