Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.”Here is Paul's Prayer• I pray that from His unlimited resources, He will empower you with inner strength - with deep fortitude - by his spirit.• As we trust in Him, Christ will take up residence in us (not just drop by every now and then).• Then our roots will grow down into the depth of God's love and will keep us strong.• And when it comes to understanding that love - may we know the scope of it and experience it. In this letter, Paul has continuously pointed us and all people to the generosity of God in Christ. • Ephesians 1:3 - Blessed with every Spiritual Blessing in Christ• Ephesians 1:7-8 - Riches of Grace - lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding • Ephesians 1:18 - Riches of His Glorious Inheritance • Ephesians 2:5 - God is Rich in Mercy• Ephesians 2:7 - Incomparable Riches of His Grace• Ephesians 3:8 - Unsearchable Riches of ChristThis is Paul's prayer and mine for us today…That we may know, and in turn experience, and then lean in to and ultimately live out of this vast love of God. This love is expressed in John 3:16-17 (ESV)“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”This love is defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (ESV) “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.”This love is given dimension here in Ephesians 3• Infinitely long and high and wide and deep - more so than we can ever understand fully…• And Paul says the love of God is “too great for us to understand fully.”• There is nowhere we can go that we are out of the scope of his presence and therefore nowhere we can go where we are out of the scope of his love, for “God is love” (1 John 4:8 and 16) and as the psalmist says in Psalm 139 “where can I go from your presence.”• Are we willing to allow this love of God to encapsulate us - to frame us - to define us? If not why not? Guilt, shame, doubt, etc.Are we willing to allow this love to transform us?When we take a look at people around us, we don't have an excuse to look at people outside of this frame. Are we willing to love even as we have been loved (John 13:34)? The love of God for humanity is infinitely long and high and wide and deep.So… here's a searching question for each of us…Who do we need to reframe? Where do we need to start?May our love and the way we live be the testament to the love of Christ and may his love lived out through us be the agent of transformation in our world. Our part really is to be awake to these truths, willing to live in and practice these truths and expectant of God to do the immeasurably more than we can even begin to imagine!

Skull and Bones – and Secret Societies = Control Satan knows your deepest sins, he helped you commit them so that you would be enslaved by guilt, fear of exposure, fear of consequences. While he holds those secret sins, he is your master and you fear the light. How is the love of God being displayed in your life?Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.Deuteronomy 14 teaches some incredible lessons on tithing. 1) Tithing is a celebration! Whether in seasons of little or much, returning to God what is His should be a celebration. They ate, drank, they celebrated. 2) It was never about legalism. God allowed them to sell their land to bring in the cash to travel unencumbered to the temple or place of worship. Some people get caught up in tithing to the penny, or the first thing that leaves my bank account must be my tithe. Make sure in honoring God you're not making up rules to please yourself rather than God. 3) It was brought to their place of worship. Where you worship, is where your tithe goes. Unrestricted.

First, we have to realize that God is a King and He rules His Kingdom In God's Kingdom He is in charge – what He says goes. When we choose to follow Jesus, we leave our little kingdom where we tried unsuccessfully to control everything. We have entered a Kingdom where He reigns supreme (Jesus is Lord) If we are going to build a lasting legacy, we are going to have to rely on the power that is within us. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (Amp) – Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]? NOTE: the “YOU” in this passage is plural (more than one) in the Greek Paul was speaking to Christians collectively as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Then he says: 1 Corinthians 6:19 (Amp) – Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? Here he addresses the individual believer. Not only does the Holy Spirit dwell in the church, as a group of believers but dwells within each individual believer. We have access to His unlimited power through the Holy Spirit. “Let us use it!” Romans 8:11 (NIV) – And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. This speaks of a legacy living power filled life, God living through us! When we come to church it's because we want to learn how to walk in the Power of almighty God Christ doesn't just want to modify our behavior; He wants to *revolutionize our lives. *change something radically (Afrikaans – Draai / Verandering bring) Power in the Pillars of our Legacy: John 14:16 (CEV) – Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. We need His Power to pray #1 Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. There is no excuse not to pray. We need His Power for Purity #2 Philippians 4:8 (NIV) – Finally, brothers and sister, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things We need His power to change our Persona #3 2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) – For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:6 (Amp) – That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flames of, and keep burning) he [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]. We need His power to establish our Priorities#4 Matthew 6:33 (NIV) – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We need His Power to Persevere#5 James 1:12 (NIV) – Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. We need His Power to live on Purpose #6. 2Timothy 1:8-9(NIV) – 8So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9He has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. We need Gods Power #7 if we are going to leave a Godly legacy. How would your life look differently if you were walking in God's power in greater ways? What is stopping you? Have you settled for just being a Sunday Christian? One who doesn't really read the word or seek to live it out in your daily life. In what areas do you need to wave the white flag and surrender to Jesus and ask for a fresh touch of His power? Psalms 62:11-12 (NIV) – 11One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God 12and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”

God's Sovereign Call “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 1:1–2, ) Paul was called, Paul was chosen by the will of God. He was chosen against his will. He did not seek, ask, or desire. He was chosen by the Grace of God. In fact, he was radically opposed to God and hated God. He fought God with all his might! “Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,” (Ephesians 3:7–8, ESV) “I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent (violent) opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:12–17, ESV) (He knows your destiny!) “Then he (Jesus) appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:7–10, ESV) Paul's will was involved. He had to yield to God and say yes to the calling., BUT WHO WOULDN'T? But God is the one who called him to this ministry. He didn't invite himself! But the Good News for Paul is the Same as it is For YOU. You are called and You are Chosen! (if you be in Christ) : “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,” (Ephesians 1:3–7, ESV) Note here that Paul continually repeats that God is accomplishing everything according to the purpose of his will! “In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:11–14, ESV) People don't like the word “predestination,” because it implies we don't have free will. But we have to be faithful to what the scripture says, and Paul mentions it several times here in this passage. Predestination has to do with the Sovereign will and ability of God to accomplish everything according to his will in spite of the resistance and rebellion of mankind. And the key here is that you are predestined in LOVE to be conformed to the image of Jesus. Predestination has to do with the ultimate plan of salvation, but it does not mean we cannot resist or choose to cooperate. We still have temporal freedom of our will, to the degree we are not enslaved to sin, addictions, and oppression. For if we are under the devil's power, we are indeed not free in our will, but enslaved. Jesus came to free us from slavery and restore the freedom of our will. Jesus Said: “Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:34–36, ESV) Because before we come to Jesus, our wills are indeed enslaved, just as Paul was to hatred and violence, it makes sense why Paul says, : “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:7–10, ESV) We cannot throw out predestination because it makes us uncomfortable or because we are concerned for those who have not yet accepted their calling to Jesus. A pastor I know once said wisely, “Preach grace and let election happen.” Our calling is to call all to repentance, and let him who will come Come! But the Good News is God is working to bring to salvation all He has called and HE CANNOT BE STOPPED! He will have his own! No man can stop him and that should give us hope and courage when we preach the good news of God's grace and forgiveness. And you should be encouraged because you were called and chosen! Paul does indeed paint a picture of the natural man outside this grace of salvation. We don't have the ability to choose God unless God chooses us: “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:1–7, ESV) There are plenty of scriptures that indicate that God is indeed in control. We preach the good news of God's forgiveness, but the Sovereign God is a faithful judge of human kind. He is able to judge the human heart and know whether someone truly wants God or prefers hatred. Paul was in rebellion, but God saw his heart. He chose Paul in spite of his rebellion, just as he offered forgiveness to the thief on the cross next to him. While we may not like the idea of God's right to judge the souls of men, there are plenty of scriptures that reveal God's ability and right to do so. “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” (John 6:37, ESV) “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”” (John 3:17–21, ESV) “Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:43–44, ESV) “In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”” (Luke 10:21–22, ESV) Finally the Good News: Your destiny is kept in Him, and not by yourselves, your own strength or power. Your salvation is not dependent upon how good you are or how good you can be; it is dependent upon the grace of God and his love for you. In Him you are secure. In ourselves we have no hope!

Whenever there is a conversation around the Gospel it requires talking about sin. How do you describe sin in your life, both in confession and in order to better relate to those you are speaking to about grace? Do you tend to see salvation as what God has brought you to or as what he has taken you from? How does this understanding of God saving us point to His goodness and loving kindness? How does Satan use the lie of a "Jesus and ..." salvation in your life? Where do you struggle to believe that "he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy"? Read Ezekiel 36:22-29 together. What does this prophecy have to do with what Paul tells timothy about the work of the Spirit in saving sinners? What have you done to deserve the blessing promised to you in Christ? How does this motivate you to good works, including telling everyone about God's grace? What are the good works God is currently producing in your life? The verse of the day for June 14th is from John chapter 3 verse 17. This is a beautiful promise from God's Word that Jesus came to save, not judge or condemn us. Sometimes we assume being a follower of Jesus means being a good person. God knew our sin, but didn't send his Son to cast judgement but share salvation. Today's Spiritual Reflection and Devotional When I read John 3:17, I am always struck by the compassionate heart of God. He didn't come to this world to condemn us or to find fault with us. He came to help us. He came to put the world right again. And that is such a beautiful thing. We live in a world that is so full of hurt and pain. There is so much division and turmoil. But God reminds us that he is not content to leave us in that state. He came to heal us and to bring us back into right relationship with him. And that is such good news for all of us. No matter what we have done or where we find ourselves in life, God is always ready and willing to help us get back on track. All we need to do is turn to him and ask for his help. And he will be there for us, just as he has promised. Prayer for Today Heavenly Father, we thank You that You did not send Jesus into the world to condemn it, but rather to save it. We acknowledge that we are sinners in need of a Savior, and we praise You that You provided that Savior in the person of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that You would use us as Your instruments to proclaim the Good News of salvation to a lost and dying world. Help us to be bold in our witness, sharing the message of hope with those who are trapped in a cycle of sin and despair. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
The problem has always been death. From the moment Adam and Eve did not trust God and took for themselves something they were not meant to life has been cut short. From that moment on we have all had to struggle with the reality of death and God has always pointed to the solution to death: Christ. I was inspired by one of my students the other day when she innocently played a on the church speaker, right after baptismal that was BAD! She was a brand new believer and I kindly told her, “when you become a Christian, you shouldn't listen to music like this.” She said, “Really? Well….what exactly does it mean to be a Christian?” As I heard her heart, I thought to myself, “I wonder how many more people are asking this question?” So, this is why I decided to do this podcast. This episode is for believers and new believers. This will teach you how to witness and have the tools to equip you to lead people to the Lord This is what it means to be a Christian: 1. Have Faith……to believe…to be convinced, to be persuaded! You BELIEVE in Jesus and The radical, miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit, that He is the Son of God, the son of man. You believe that He existed and that He lived and died for you. He paid for you with His own blood. You believe that He was raised from the dead in 3 days by the resurrection power of God. You believe that He ascended to heaven and that He sent the Holy Spirit to abide with you forever. You believe that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives inside of YOU. You believe that all things are possible with Jesus! You believe that your name is written in the Lamb's book of life and you are going to heaven. 2. Embrace His teaching: John 8:31-32 TPT Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.” Be merciful Luke 6:31 Walk in forgiveness Luke 6:37 Seek Goodness Luke 6:45 Respect others Luke 14:11 BE kind Luke 14 3. My heart is devoted to Him Mark 12:30-31 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, Love your neighbor and Love yourself Part of your love and devotion is prayer and worship. 4. Do the things that Jesus did Jesus was always listening the voice of His father and obeying him. Jesus said, If you love me, you'll obey me. So…..be discipled…learn how to hear his voice, learn how to obey, learn how to grow in God because the sky is the limit. Now HOW DO I become a Christian? Steps to Becoming a Follower of Jesus Christ Believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord. Acts 16:31 ESV And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” John 3:16 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Romans 10:9 ESV Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Repent Be baptized in the name of Jesus. Acts 2:38 ESV And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Whether through prophets, angels, a burning bush, or a still small voice, the authors of scripture is constantly communicating that God speaks. Building MY Legacy Pillar 7 – Power “The cross exists because we have failed.” “God opens doors…but it is your job to walk through them.” – Joe Pellegrino 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NIV) – For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. This a very encouraging verse for all those who belong to the Kingdom of God What Power? God’s Power! First we have to realize that God is a King and He rules His Kingdom In God’s Kingdom He is in charge – what He says goes. When we choose to follow Jesus we leave our little kingdom where we tried unsuccessfully to control everything. We have entered a Kingdom where He reigns supreme (Jesus is Lord) If we are going to build a lasting legacy, we are going to have to rely on the power that is within us. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (Amp) – Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]? NOTE: the “YOU” in this passage is plural (more than one) in the Greek Paul was speaking to Christians collectively as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Then he says: 1 Corinthians 6:19 (Amp) – Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? Here he addresses the individual believer Not only does the Holy Spirit dwell in the church, as a group of believers but dwells within each individual believer. We have access to His unlimited power through the Holy Spirit. “Let us use it!” Romans 8:11 (NIV) – And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. This speaks of a legacy living power filled life, God living through us! When we come to church it’s because we want to learn how to walk in the Power of almighty God Christ doesn’t just want to modify our behavior; He wants to *revolutionize our lives *change something radically (Afrikaans – Draai / Verandering bring) Power in the Pillars of our Legacy: John 14:16 (CEV) – Them I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. We need His Power to pray Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. We need His power to change our Persona 2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) – For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control We need His power to establish our Priorities Matthew 6:33 (NIV) – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We need His Power to Persevere James 1:12 (NIV) – Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. We need His Power for Purity Philippians 4:8 (NIV) – Finally, brothers and sister, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things We need God’s power if we are going to leave a Godly legacy. How would your life look differently if you were walking in God’s power in greater ways? What is stopping you? Have you settled for being a Sunday Christian? One who doesn’t really read the word or seek to live it out in your daily life In what areas do you need to wave the white flag and surrender to Jesus and ask for a fresh touch of His power? Because in Easter we celebrate the victory of Jesus over our sin, over death, over evil. Jesus has reconciled man to God by paying a debt you and I cannot pay. [1Co 15:12 ESV] Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? [1Co 15:13 ESV] But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. [1Co 15:14 ESV] And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. [1Co 15:15 ESV] We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. [1Co 15:16 ESV] For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. [1Co 15:17 ESV] And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. [1Co 15:18 ESV] Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. [1Co 15:19 ESV] If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. [1Co 15:20 ESV] But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. [1Co 15:21 ESV] For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. [1Co 15:22 ESV] For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. [1Co 15:23 ESV] But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Are You Trusting In Jesus as your only way that God is going to allow you into Heaven? Let's look at the One and Only Right Answer!God so Loves the World. Here is HOW God So Loved the World. He sent someone to take His Wrath in Your Place. God's Righteous Judgement; Wrath is satisfied. Yield yourself to God as His servant and tell Him you will learn His Will and Obey. Let's visit the Throne of God Again. Here is the one and only right Answer. [Job 42:1 ESV] Then Job answered the LORD and said: [Job 42:5 ESV] I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you;[Job 42:6 ESV] therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes."I know I am an evil sinner deserving your Wrath.I stand here forgiven because You had Jesus take my punishment for me. Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord is the only reason I can come into your Heaven. I bring you nothing else. God Commands everyone to repentActs 17:30 ESV / 5 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, You need to trust in the deepest part of your heart, that it is only the sacrifice of Jesus Christ instead of you to satisfy the Justice of God that you deserve. When Jesus returns it will be too late for anyone else. [2Th 1:7 ESV] and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels[2Th 1:8 ESV] in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.[2Th 1:9 ESV] They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,[2Th 1:10 ESV] when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
