With an international background, PATRICK SOLURI is a New York City based composer of music for ballet, opera and film/TV. His love of telling stories through music is evident in a large body of work for the stage, screen and concert hall. Mr. Soluri has had 11 ballet scores performed internationally. This includes a commission and eight sold out performances of JUST BEFORE NOW (2017) at Ballet de l'Opéra National de Bordeaux (France). The same creative team, led by German choreographer Xenia Wiest and costume designer Melanie Frost, first collaborated on TO BE CONTINUED (aka “Continuum” 2009) which was commissioned and performed 18 times over two seasons to great acclaim by Staatsballett Berlin. In 2016 this ballet won the Grande Prixe (1st prize) at the Berritz International Choreographic Competition, and the music was a finalist/winner of the Kaleidescope 2020 international composers competition (with over 8,000 submissions). The latest production is in the 2022/23 season by Ballet X Schwerin in Germany.  During the pandemic the same creative team featuring Xenia Wiest collaborated on “Nacht Ohne Morgen” with Xenia also as the ballet director of Ballett X Schwerin (Germany),  receiving rave reviews and 13 performances in the 2021/22 season, plus 4 additional performances in the 2022/23 season. Other notable ballet works include three productions of MADAME X (1999, 2003, 2019), featuring American Ballet Theater principal Marcelo Gomes, and NY City Ballet principals Abi Stafford and Ask La Cour; FIRE & AIR, premiered at The Kennedy Center with Mr. Soluri conducting; and FANCY NANCY, based on the hit children's books. Mr. Soluri's ballets have been performed by STAATSBALLETT BERLIN (Germany), BALLET DE L'OPÉRA NATIONAL DE BORDEAUX (France), BALLETT X SCHWERIN (Germany), INTERMEZZO DANCE CO (New York City), DANCES PATRELLE (New York City), BOWEN McCAULEY DANCE (DC), and CUYAHOGA VALLEY YOUTH BALLET (OH). In opera, Mr. Soluri was a finalist with librettist Deborah Brevoort for ALBERT NOBBS in the 2018 Pellicciotti Opera Composition Prize who then commissioned and work-shopped a 20-minute excerpt in September 2016. In January 2018 ALBERT NOBBS was showcased as part of Opera America's "New Works Forum," with two new scenes added, and won the 2019 Frontiers Competition at FORT WORTH OPERA (FWO). His one-act opera EMBEDDED, commissioned by AMERICAN LYRIC THEATER, also won the 2013 Frontiers Competition at FWO, and had its fully staged world premiere in March 2014 at FARGO-MOORHEAD OPERA, followed by six performances at FWO in their Spring 2016 season where the NY Times praised "Mr. Soluri's skillfully scored music…” Mr. Soluri is also known for his series of 10 minute comic operas which have performed around the world, four of which have premiered at CARNEGIE HALL. With nearly a dozen productions, his most performed short opera is the dark comedy FIGARO's LAST HANGOVER. The sequel, FIGARO & THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE was commissioned & premiered by FWO in 2013. His opera INFERNO was featured in the prestigious ‘2003 VOX Showcasing American Composers' by NEW YORK CITY OPERA. In addition, Mr. Soluri's operas have been performed by VIENNE EN VOIX FESTIVAL, NEVADA OPERA, CENTER CITY OPERA THEATER, URBAN ARIAS, OPERA ON TAP, UNIVERSITY OF ALBANY, RTB, JUVENTAS, and L'ARIETTA SINGAPORE. Mr. Soluri has also composed numerous film scores, has a vast library of music for film/TV, and a film trailer that showed on 19,000 film screens in the US. Other projects include orchestrating and arranging for the EMMY AWARD winning WONDERPETS, with Sean Lennon on the film score for ALTER EGOS, and scoring the indie short HOSTILE TAKEOVER (2018). Additionally, he has hundreds of cues in various film/tv music production libraries (including SONY/ATV, ReelTracks, and ScoreKeepers), which has been featured worldwide on various TV shows and networks, such as TLC, LOGO and DISCOVERY - including hit shows like NBC's "World of Adventure Sports" and "America's Got Talent." Other works include various chamber and orchestral commissions, including an orchestral overture commissioned by GULF COAST SYMPHONY with multiple performances in their 2014/15 season. Holding dual citizenship in the US and Portugal, Mr. Soluri was born in Brazil, and raised in NYC attending a Montessori School (in Milan & NYC) and later Rudolf Steiner (a Waldorf School). At Bennington College Mr. Soluri studied composition with Tobias Picker and Alan Shawn, then received a BM in classical composition from Manhattan School of Music as a scholarship recipient studying with Aaron J. Kernis and Nils Vigeland. He received a MM in composition from Univ. of Louisville where he held the Moritz von Bomhard Fellowship for Opera Composition. The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) has recently released its strategic priorities for the 2022-23 period, with fast food, restaurants/cafes, and agriculture key industries of focus. Added to the list is the universities sector, with the FWO concerned about allegations of long-running underpayments in many universities, citing management oversight, decentralised HR functions and lack of investment in payroll and time-recording systems as the trending causes of non-compliance. With possible increased funding from the new Labor government, we may also see higher levels of enforcement, making employee underpayments (intentional or accidental) something employers should be concerned about. In this podcast, we discuss the civil penalty provisions for corporations and directors for contraventions under the Fair Work Act, the functions of the FWO, and how employers may come under their radar. We also discuss where we see the vast majority of underpayments in respect of breaches of modern awards and the National Employment Standards, and key areas for employers to look at. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly has been replaced by a new segment; "Would you Tweet This?", a challenge for the team to come up with the most 'tweet worthy' of topical employment law news. Opinia publiczna zelektryzowana została zatrzymaniem znanego mecenasa i ekswicepremiera, co zbiegło się z przedłużeniem aresztu dla b. szefa gabinetu politycznego Donalda Tuska. Te nadzwyczajne wydarzenia dały asumpt komentatorom FWO do rozważań o postępującej erozji III RP i podjęcia próby przewidzenia przyszłości. Na tę najbliższą będzie miał niewątpliwie wpływ sąd, który zdecyduje o ewentualnym areszcie dla Romana Giertycha i pozostałych m.in. znanego biznesmena -prekursora informatyzacji Polski po 1989 r. Jednak dla Macieja Świrskiego najważniejszą kwestią jest wciąż rozbudowa Wojska Polskiego, bo tylko silna armia jest gwarantem niepodległości Polski. Niestety, nadal padają głosy krytycznie oceniające przeznaczanie coraz większych środków finansowych na obronność. Wódz Tasunke Witko, oficer w stanie spoczynku, zacytował słowa Napoleona: „Naród, który nie chce karmić swojej armii, będzie karmić cudzą”. Przypomniano również, że słaba armia w XVIII wieku stała się jedną z przyczyn upadku Rzeczpospolitej. Równie ważna w dziele odbudowy państwa jest sprawna i nowoczesna szkoła, o czym publicyści pamiętają nie tylko z okazji tradycyjnego Dnia Nauczyciela. Niestety, i na tym polu jest wiele do zrobienia. Zdaniem Macieja Świrskiego wciąż nie potrafimy korzystać z najlepszych wzorców wychowywania młodych pokoleń i tkwimy w sztywnym gorsecie rozwiązań rodem z czasów Komisji Edukacji Narodowej. Tymczasem pora na zmianę i nauczanie przez doświadczenie. Tylko ta droga, zwłaszcza w tak niepewnych czasach, jest godna polecenia i błyskawicznego zaimplementowania. Jako motto tej audycji, niech posłużą słowa, które przed laty skierował wykładowca do słuchaczy szkoły wojskowej- przyszłych oficerów i dowódców: Tylko nie dajcie ludziom głupio wyginąć! To wciąż bardzo aktualne…

Reduta przeciw hejtowi na mieszkańcach rzekomej „strefy wolnej od LGBT” i dyskryminacji ekonomicznej WROGIE ATAKI „TABLICZKOWCA” Pewien człowiek jeździ po Polsce i rozwiesza kłamliwe tablice informujące, że dana gmina np. Zakrzówek na Lubelszczyźnie jest strefą wolną od LGBT. Twierdzi, że to happening (tak przedstawia to Polakom, ale naprawdę to precyzyjna operacja) i niby zwrócenie uwagi na los ludzi LGBT, jednak dla w ten sposób realnie napiętnowanych samorządów i mieszkańców, to zapowiedź fali obrzydliwego i niezawinionego hejtu i perspektywa utraty nie tylko unijnych środków finansowych. A w skali państwa, to kolejne potężne uderzenie w czułą sferę bezpieczeństwa narodowego. Jak to możliwe, dowiecie się Państwo słuchając kolejnego odcinka FWO. Dla Macieja Świrskiego, którego Reduta stanęła murem za oszkalowaną gminą i jej mieszkańcami, sprawa jest oczywista i ma bardzo groźny kontekst dla całej Polski. Dla „Tabliczkowca”- komentatorzy nie chcą promować jego danych- to niby tylko taka forma przekazu i happening. Ów sprytnie działa: zrobił tablicę, na wzór powszechnie stosowanych, z komunikatem: „Strefa wolna od LGBT” i tłumaczeniami. Z rozmysłem wybiera gminy, które przyjęły deklaracje o promowaniu rodziny i tam przykręca ten prawie „znak drogowy” pod prawdziwą tablicą z nazwą miejscowości. Robi zdjęcie i nagrywa informację, a następnie za pomocą mediów społecznościowych wysyła to w świat. W efekcie zmanipulowany Zachód, przyzwyczajony do polskich niepoprawnych politycznie incydentów, widząc „oficjalny” szyld LGBT- FREE ZONE, protestuje i grozi Polsce m.in. odebraniem kasy. Dodajmy do tego jeszcze podobieństwo i skojarzenia tego napisu z niemieckim „Judenfrei”, czyli terenem oczyszczonym z Żydów, co w kontekście oskarżeń o polski antysemityzm, jest bardzo niebezpieczne. Zdaniem Macieja Świrskiego, to tylko wierzchołek góry lodowej. Bo kłamliwa narracja, którą stworzył „Tabliczkowiec” powielana w tamtych społecznościach, może stać się wszechobecna, dominująca i w rezultacie może wykreować stereotyp nietolerancyjnych, ciemnych i wręcz odrażających Polaków, którym w razie realnego zagrożenia wojennego- słynny art. 5 traktatu NATO- po prostu nie warto pomagać. Dlatego reakcja państwa polskiego w sferze dyplomatycznej i propagandowej powinna być jednoznaczna. Należy także pomagać haniebnie oczernianym samorządom i mieszkańcom. Kto będzie chciał przyjechać do takiej miejscowości lub założyć tam fabrykę? Jak mają żyć ludzie z takim piętnem? Jako pierwsza pomocną dłoń do Zakrzówka wyciągnęła Reduta Dobrego Imienia pomagając finansowo i prawnie w pozwie przeciwko kłamcy. Prawdopodobnie inne samorządy, które również padły ofiarą „Tabliczkowca” także skorzystają z know-how RDI. Akcja tego aktywisty wpisuje się w szerszy kontekst tj. przedstawienia Polaków jako osób dyskryminujących, segregujących i wykluczających pewną grupę. Ma to –zdaniem M. Świrskiego – wpisywać się w kontekst historyczny, gdzie obecnie przypisuje się Polsce sprawstwo holokaustu i mordowania Żydów podczas II wojny światowej. Jest to tak przygotowane by ugruntować pogląd, że Polacy dyskryminowali i zabijali kiedyś Żydów, a dziś dyskryminują i wykluczają osoby o innej orientacji seksualnej. Zachęcamy do wysłuchania audycji i uprzejmie prosimy o wsparcie finansowe działań Reduty Dobrego Imienia, która funkcjonuje dzięki swoim Przyjaciołom i Sympatykom.

Dana rura jest do niczego Panie Majster, czyli TUŻ PRZED KOLONIZACJĄ KOSMOSU „Halo, halo tu baza księżycowa Reduty Dobrego Imienia! Witamy naszych Słuchaczy w kraju i na obczyźnie z kosmosu”. Jeśli wierzyć w przepowiednie Macieja Świrskiego, to jeszcze za naszego życia, będziemy mogli wziąć udział w wielkiej akcji kolonizacji kosmosu. Słynny Elon Musk już eksperymentuje z nowym silnikiem rakietowym na metan i kto wie, czy za chwilę nie stanie przed nami z tanimi biletami na Księżyc. Najpierw jednak będziemy musieli zmierzyć się z prozą życia, czyli naszymi wadami narodowymi: bylejakością, lenistwem, wieloletnimi zaniedbaniami, brakiem zarządzania ryzykiem, które trzymają nas nisko z nosem przy ziemi. To rzeczywiście także ostatni dzwonek, by uporać się z kosmicznym smrodem, czyli kolejną awarią Czajki-Trzaskowskiego, nieładem medialnym, ideologią LGBT i niesprawnymi sądami. Tym razem Maciej Świrski i Wódz Thasunke Witko rozpoczęli audycję w Warszawie- a gdzie skończyli o tym za chwilę- nie zostawiając na prezydencie RT i jego ekipie suchej nitki i zarzucając im całkowitą degrengoladę, infantylizm, brak odpowiedzialności i zwyczajną pychę. Bo zdaniem publicystów to są przyczyny kolejnej awarii ściekowej, której i tym razem władze Warszawy nie potrafią same usunąć. Słusznie komentatorzy FWO drżą nad stanem tzw. infrastruktury krytycznej i jej zabezpieczeniem. Awarie i ich skutki w stolicy mają przecież wpływ nie tylko na warszawiaków… Ta nieprawdopodobna, wręcz kosmiczna „niefrasobliwość” Trzaskowskiego daje mu czołowe miejsce wśród innych burmistrzów i prezydentów PO, którzy tworzą wspólny antyrządowy front -„rebelię samorządowców”. W tym buncie pierwszoplanową rolę wciąż odgrywają media, które zamiast opisywać rzeczywistość- kreują ją m.in. manipulując faktami, nie dochowując rzetelności warsztatu dziennikarskiego. Poza tym są wszechpotężne i bezkarne, bo postkomunistyczne Prawo Prasowe daje im miażdżącą przewagę nad zwykłym człowiekiem i instytucjami stającymi w obronie np. prawdy o historii Polski. Praktycznie nie działa instytucja sprostowania, która nie daje szansy na szybką obronę i przedstawienie prawdy. Dlatego Reduta Dobrego Imienia opracowała obywatelski projekt nowelizacji Prawa Prasowego m.in. skracając radykalnie -do ok. 5 dni- czas oczekiwania na opublikowanie sprostowania. Maciej Świrski zachęca do poparcia tej ważnej akcji i złożenia podpisu pod projektem. Równolegle z uporządkowaniem tych niezbędnych dla prawidłowego funkcjonowania sprawnego państwa kwestii, trzeba zatroszczyć się o udział w kluczowym dla przyszłości Polski najważniejszym projekcie cywilizacyjnym. Mimo, że brzmi on dla wielu nieprawdopodobnie i na pozór może wydawać się szaleństwem, to jednak udział Polski w szerokim spektrum działań zmierzających do kolonizacji kosmosu, jest zadaniem dziejowym i zasługuje na poważne zaangażowanie państwa i jego struktur. I to do ich działań komentatorzy FWO przyrównują plugastwo wylewające się z okładki „Faktu”. Zdaniem Macieja Świrskiego i Wodza Tasunke Witko to element precyzyjnej, zaplanowanej w każdym calu operacji specjalnej, mającej zmniejszyć szanse Andrzeja Dudy. Użycie takiej „brudnej bomby” o niespotykanej dotąd sile, świadczy jednak o wielkiej desperacji i przede wszystkim braku wiary w sukces prezydenta Warszawy. Finał kampanii jest coraz bardziej kuriozalny, o czym może świadczyć konferencja prasowa Trzaskowskiego, którą hałaśliwie i fałszywie okrzyknięto debatą. Każdy dzień przynosi tego rodzaju manipulacje i próby narzucenia przekazu przez POKO. Wbrew logice, rzeczywistości i przede wszystkim prawdzie, która coraz mocniej przebija się ze stolicy, gdzie coraz bardziej widać nieudolność rządów Trzaskowskiego i jego poprzedniczki. Czajka, kamienice, palety i autobusy to dotychczas zarejestrowane znaki czasu rządów PO, które sprawiły, że Wódz porównał Warszawę ze słynnym westernowym Dodge City. Jak wyznał, tam na Dzikim Zachodzie czułby się znacznie bezpieczniejszy... Publicyści zgodni są, że wybór Trzaskowskiego prowadziłby do „psucia państwa, poprzez ciągłe wetowanie i w efekcie po kilku miesiącach doprowadziłby do przedterminowych wyborów”. Towarzyszyłaby temu „atmosfera rosnącej nienawiści” budowana przez media antypisowe, tak dobrze znana z tej kampanii. Komentatorzy zastanawiają się, co zrobić by nie powtórzyły się haniebne przekazy naśladujące dziennik RAS i postulują zmianę prawa prasowego, które zostało wprowadzone w stanie wojennym i nijak nie przystaje do rzeczywistości. Maciej Świrski uważa, że tego rodzaju kłamstw niewolno zostawiać bez reakcji –„trzeba to napiętnować i zneutralizować” i oferuje prezydentowi know-how zespołu prawnego: „Wiemy jak w sądzie wygrać z tym wydawcą”. Poza tym musimy być szybsi i sprawniejsi w budowaniu prawdziwej i atrakcyjnej narracji. I ta myśl niech przyświeca nam w tych ostatnich dniach kampanii. FWO kończy informacja o zbliżającym się kolejnym starciu sądowym z prof. J. Grabowskim, który twierdzi m.in. i to , że Polacy w czasie II wojny światowej zamordowali około 200.000 Żydów. Po I turze wyborów prezydenckich POKOLENIE SIECI ZMIENIA ŚWIAT?! Ten podcast wypełniły w większości refleksje powyborcze nad młodą generacją i nadzieja na zwycięstwo. Z trudnej sytuacji „jeden przeciwko wielu” Andrzej Duda wyszedł z godnością, ale wciąż czeka Go strasznie ciężka walka. Słusznie komentatorzy FWO wiele czasu poświęcili analizie tzw. pokolenia sieci. Przypomnijmy, że tylko 15 procent tej ważnej grupy (18-29 lat) głosowało na prezydenta. Jej pozyskanie jest szalenie ważne i jednocześnie bardzo trudne, bo młodzi żyją we własnym ekskluzywnym świecie, a poza tym… prawie nie oglądają telewizji! Ich matecznikiem jest internet, a w nim na próżno szukać skutecznego przekazu wyborczego głowy państwa. Zdaniem naszych publicystów za ten stan rzeczy odpowiedzialność ponoszą piarowcy PIS. Czy znacie Państwo książkę Dona Tapscotta „Cyfrowa dorosłość. Jak pokolenie sieci zmienia nasz świat?” Jeśli nie, to po recenzji Macieja Świrskiego z pewnością po nią natychmiast sięgniecie. Autor wydanej po polsku już w 2010 roku pozycji, przewidział czym skończy coraz intensywniejsze i masowe korzystanie z netu przez ludzi młodych. Pastwą mediów społecznościowych, transmisji strumieniowych i powszechnego korzystania z komórek, czyli de facto „nowoczesnych centrów nadawczo-odbiorczych”, padło jednokierunkowe i przestarzałe medium: telewizja, którą młodzi oglądają zaledwie średnio przez godzinę, podczas gdy target w wieku 50+ siedzi przed telewizorami aż 6 godzin! ONI, także dzięki grom komputerowym, przywykli do aktywności, walki- i co warte zapamiętania- poszukiwania informacji i ich konfrontowania. Dobre, co? Wódz Thasunke Witko, bardzo surowo ocenia sztabowców PIS i proponuje, by „przejechali się rano metrem i wreszcie dostrzegli tabuny młodych, penetrujących sieć w swoich komórkach i dopiero wtedy popracowali nad adekwatnym przekazem”. Jak to zmienić, co zrobić? Nie ma prostych rozwiązań i jednej recepty. „Niestety obserwujemy także przesyt frazesem patriotycznym”. A zatem, nie tylko na potrzeby bieżące, potrzeba czegoś zupełnie nowego. Czegoś, co wyzwoli nowy „atrakcyjny patriotyzm”, w który młodzi zechcą się zaangażować. Inaczej, odrzucą wszystko, bo mimo niewielu lat życia, już niosą w sobie doświadczenia z ostatniego czasu „sieczki medialnej i nienawiści mediów”. Trzeba także znaleźć właściwy przekaz dla „pokolenia sieci” i próbować użyć go już w tej kampanii. Komentatorzy sygnalizują także ważny problem przypisywania Polakom win za niepopełnione zbrodnie i usiłują znaleźć korelacje czasowe między kluczowymi dla Polski wydarzeniami a nasilającym się „pałkowaniem antysemityzmem”. Ta kwestia zapewne wymaga oddzielnej audycji.

Raport Świrskiego, czyli modus vivendi z Netflixem JAK ŻYĆ W BAŃCE INFORMACYJNEJ Czy przeczytaliście Państwo już najnowszy http://www.anti-defamation.org/aktualnosci/mozliwosci-przeciwdzialania-znieslawieniom-na-platformach-typu-netflix/ Raport Reduty? Jeszcze nie? O… to jesteście zdecydowanie z tyłu za przekaziorami z głównego nurtu, bo ich jaczejki uczyniły to natychmiast po publikacji, a nawet żądały jego udostępnienia, już po pierwszym sygnale szefa Reduty, że takowy powstał! Co tam jest takiego, że pobrało go już kilka tysięcy osób, a w Macieja Świrskiego znów poleciały kamienie. Prawda. Prawda o zatrważającej, a nie uświadomionej i stale rosnącej potędze platform strumieniowych i o pomyśle zaprzyjaźnienia się z nimi. Maciej Świrski, spiritus movens przedsięwzięcia, po raz kolejny cierpliwie tłumaczy, że nie zamierzał podać Netflixa do sądu, bo to kontrproduktywne i dla Polski szkodliwe. „Oni (menedżment platform streamingowych) są na głodzie kontentu. Potrzebują autentycznych, prawdziwych stories. I my Polacy to mamy np. Pileckiego, Meriana Coopera. Trzeba tylko udowodnić, że nie chodzi o politykę”- puentuje szef Reduty Dobrego Imienia. Świetnie rozumie to Wódz Tasunko Witko, który widzi jak rozrywane są więzi społeczne i że gra idzie o najwyższą stawkę: rząd dusz. Natomiast kompletnie nie dostrzegają tego, atakujące szefa Reduty „elyty”, z których „wychodzi niedojrzałość i parafiańszczyzna”, a przecież w USA od dawna trwa dyskusja o platformach streamingowych i social mediach, zwłaszcza w kontekście wolności i cenzury. Niepokój komentatorów FWO wywołuje także rosnąca fala zamieszek ulicznych, które nie zostały na początku zneutralizowane, bo zabrakło „pokazu sił”. Winę za to ponoszą demokraci- gubernatorzy i prezydenci, którzy prowadzą karkołomną politykę i są niezależni od Waszyngtonu. Publicyści przypominają, że na inkryminowanego policjanta były już wcześniej skargi, jednak w mieście rządzonym przez demokratów nikt na to nie zareagował. W ogóle Tasunko Witko i M. Świrski, w szerszej perspektywie, dostrzegają podobieństwa między tym, co dzieje się u nas i w USA. „Polska jest jakby poligonem, dla rozwiązań stosowanych za Oceanem”. Widać to zwłaszcza w bezwzględnej walce z autorytetami, w USA z Trumpem a u nas obecnie z ministrem Szumowskim. To typowo sowiecka szkoła polegająca na tzw. destrukcji postaci, „przylepić do osoby coś negatywnego, co będzie już w opinii publicznej kojarzone z nią na zawsze”. Obrzydliwe, ale skuteczne? Za tydzień w FWO o wyborach, które już 28 czerwca.

Wygrana jest ta wojna, co nie wybuchła KTO NISZCZY SZUMOWSKIEGO? Minister Łukasz Szumowski jest dla znacznej części opinii publicznej i publicystów FWO autorytetem, który wziął na siebie ciężar walki z pandemią i toczy ją z determinacją i powodzeniem. I dlatego zdaniem Macieja Świrskiego stał się celem specjalnej, zaplanowanej i bezwzględnie realizowanej- w stylu sowieckim- operacji niszczenia. Wódz radzi wszystkim krytykom profesora, by przypomnieli sobie obrazki z Chin, Włoch, które tak elektryzowały cały świat i budziły grozę, także w Polsce. Jednocześnie przyznaje, że nie ma takiej wyobraźni, by w roli walczącego z koronawirusem, umieścić byłego szefa resortu zdrowia Arłukowicza. Zresztą zgodnie, obydwaj komentatorzy pełni są podziwu dla charakteru, siły woli i kultury ministra Szumowskiego. Kwestia światka profesorskiego, rozpatrywanego także pod kątem kultury, komentowana jest przy okazji wypowiedzi na temat ciągłego rzekomego łamania przez rządzących konstytucji. „ Przybyło nam w Polsce kilka, może kilkanaście milionów konstytucjonalistów” zauważa z przekąsem wódz. Jednak najbardziej oberwało się profesorom Matczakowi i Sadurskiemu. Przy okazji można także posłuchać pochwały zawodu i etosu betoniarza-zbrojarza, bo wykonujący go ludzi muszą być przede wszystkim odpowiedzialni, czym różnią się znakomicie od „najlepszych i najmądrzejszych” profesorów. Maciej Świrski i Jego gość doszli do przekonania, że ta skądinąd zasłużona przed laty organizacja, odgrywa szczególną rolę, w brutalnej walce propagandowej przeciwko Polsce. Oburzenie publicystów, wywołało także, użycie przed kilku dniami, przez zwolenniczki aborcji, loga z błyskawicą, jednoznacznie kojarzącego się z symbolami niemieckiego SS: „Co musi mieć w głowie człowiek, który to wymyślił?!”. Zdrowo oberwało się także Tuskowi za „poziom trolla” i chęć bycia „Andersem XXI wieku”, Budce i Kopaczowej, także za brak wierności Rzeczypospolitej. Zaplusowała za to profesor Pawłowicz, uzasadnieniem wyroku TK i przypomnieniem sędziom, że wydają wyroki w imieniu państwa polskiego, a nie europejskich trybunałów. Maciej Świrski pokusił się o zinterpretowanie, kontrowersyjnego tweeta, ambasador Mosbacher i zachęcił do jego uważnego odczytania. Przypomnijmy zatem te słowa: „TVN jest częścią rodziny Discovery, amerykańskiej firmy notowanej na giełdzie papierów wartościowych w Nowym Jorku, której priorytetem jest przejrzystość, wolność słowa oraz niezależne i odpowiedzialne dziennikarstwo". A czego pani ambasador nie napisała? Na to zwrócił uwagę Maciej Świrski. Godzinną audycję, zakończyły informacje o zakupie przez MON, najnowocześniejszych amerykańskich ręcznych przeciwpancernych pocisków kierowanych Javelin i rozważania „wejdą, nie wejdą?!”, z odpowiedzią, udzieloną przez wodza Tasunko Witko- oficera WP w stanie spoczynku: Chruszczow-nie, Breżniew-nie, Gorbaczow-nie. Most people spend about 1/3 of their lives in bed and or sleeping. What are we breathing or absorbing and how does it affect our health and performance? Dr. Boor and Dr. Laverge will tell us what they have learned during their literature review on the topic. We also look forward to learning what these up and coming academics feel are other important IAQ questions and answers we will be discussing over the next decade. Dr. Boor joined us once before with Dr. Richard Corsi for one of our Research to Practice shows Episode 343 Dr. Brandon E. Boor is an Assistant Professor in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University. His research group at Purdue is focused on understanding the dynamics of airborne particles (aerosols) in buildings and human exposure to indoor air pollution. He teaches courses on indoor air quality and architectural engineering and advises the Global Air Quality Trekkers undergraduate EPICS team. He has previously worked with indoor air quality and aerosol research groups at the University of Helsinki, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, and VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland, as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. Dr. Jelle Laverge (1984) received his engineering masters from Ghent University in 2007. From 2005 to 2007 he was a part-time employee of Bureau Bouwtechniek in Antwerp. Since 2007 he is a fulltime researcher and PhD-candidate at the building physics, construction and building services research group of the department of architecture and urban planning at Ghent University. In 2011 he received a master's degree in Law from the same university. He was a part-time building physics lecturer at KaHo Sint-Lieven Gent for the 2011 spring semester. With the support of the FWO (grant V430911N), he was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin during the summer of 2011. With a dissertation entitled 'Design strategies for residential ventilation systems', he obtained a PhD in 2013. He is a member of ISIAQ, SRS and ASHRAE.

His research group at Purdue is focused on understanding the dynamics of airborne particles (aerosols) in buildings and human exposure to indoor air pollution. He teaches courses on indoor air quality and architectural engineering and advises the Global Air Quality Trekkers undergraduate EPICS team. He has previously worked with indoor air quality and aerosol research groups at the University of Helsinki, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, and VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland, as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. Dr. Jelle Laverge (1984) received his engineering masters from Ghent University in 2007. From 2005 to 2007 he was a part-time employee of Bureau Bouwtechniek in Antwerp. Since 2007 he is a fulltime researcher and PhD-candidate at the building physics, construction and building services research group of the department of architecture and urban planning at Ghent University. In 2011 he received a master's degree in Law from the same university. He was a part-time building physics lecturer at KaHo Sint-Lieven Gent for the 2011 spring semester. With the support of the FWO (grant V430911N), he was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin during the summer of 2011. With a dissertation entitled 'Design strategies for residential ventilation systems', he obtained a PhD in 2013. He is a member of ISIAQ, SRS and ASHRAE.

The G1000 arose in Belgium out of frustration with the inability of the political parties in Belgium to form a government. The G1000 began in 2011 and had three broad phases: public agenda setting, the Citizens' Summit and the Citizens' Panel.  Unlike many of the other deliberative mini-publics we've heard about in earlier podcast episodes the G1000 was explicitly about agenda setting by citizens rather than providing advice to elected representatives on a topic those representatives have chosen. A short overview of the G1000 process and outputs can be found on Participedia. Didier Caluwaerts is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy at the VUB. His research interests include deliberative and participatory democracy, social, democratic and public sector innovation, social entrepreneurship, innovation management and cooperative governance. He recently set up a lab experiment with professor Michael MacKenzie (University of Pittsburgh) on deliberation and long-term thinking regarding environmental policy. He was previously a post-doctoral researcher of the FWO at the VUB. His PhD (2011, VUB) dealt with deliberative democracy in divided societies. It was awarded the 2012 ECPR Jean Blondel PhD award and it was nominated for the Annual PhD Prize of the Dutch and Flemish Political Science Associations. He is also the winner of the 2010 ECPR Dirk Berg-Schlosser award, and co-organizer of the G1000 citizens' summit (2011).   In next week's episode I'll be talking to Harm van Dijk one of the people who has taken the G1000 to the Netherlands.
