Sony really does not have a gamer first mentality and if you think they do, stop drinking the Kool-Aid. Xbox shows up to play at TGS, Ubisoft faces its second strike in a year, Blizzard is making some interesting moves, and California wants gamers to be informed. Plus, Lionsgate faces another flop, but their is light on the horizon, DC seems to be seeing what sticks, and Hollywood loses some greats in the span of a week. Any Horizon fans hoping to see a sequel to Zero Dawn and Forbidden West may be in for a letdown, as industry insider and Bloomberg reporter Jason Schrier claims Guerilla Games' next project is a live-service online multiplayer game set in the Horizon universe. A third mainline seems likely, but it's apparently “a ways off.” In other news, also reported by Jason Schrier, Netflix has original shows in development based on Starcraft, Diablo and Overwatch, but they were scrapped after Netflix pursued legal action against Activision-Blizzard over allegedly poaching its CFO. Considering how gorgeous Blizzard's cinematic cutscenes have always been, it seems like a missed opportunity, but maybe we'll see these IPs get adapted somewhere else. Prime Video's Secret Level, maybe? Finally, Tekken chief Katsuhiro Harada revealed in an interview that he'd tried to get KFC to agree to put founder-turned-mascot Colonel Sanders in the fighting game as a playable character, but didn't have any luck. But, we've gotten a KFC dating sim starring the Colonel since then, so who knows?

We take a trip back to Kanto with Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu. This is a new Pokemon RPG game and the first full game for the Switch with Pokemon (aside from Pokken). In this game, it's mostly a remake of the original Red, Blue and Yellow but in full 3D. It's a bit toned down from the originals and not as challenging, but still immensely fun as Brett explains in his impressions. Austin also dives deep into the dungeon with Enter the Gungeon. On sale on the Switch, he talks about how much fun he's having with this game on the Switch and why everyone should pick it up for such a good price. In our news, Remedy's former CEO starts a new studio focused on “underserved” markets and celebrities are frustrated with Fortnite for selling emotes about their dances or moves from tv shows or rap videos. We also revisit women in Battlefield V and share our opinion on how we may agree with them not being in the game but for a much different reason than historical accuracy. Instead, we're talking about the violent treatment to not just men, but women since you can play as both genders in these war zones. Finally, our discussion explores some topics brought up in a great discussion between games journalist Jason Schreier and Youtube Influencer YongYea. Chris went to Washington DC to visit the International Spy Museum, where he interviewed Wolf Blitzer and real spies (and also did an escape the room about finding a nuclear bomb). Brad put on a charity stand-up show in his hometown headlined by Kyle Kinane, is spending two weeks in Utah Hoai-Tran visited the Museum of Moving Image where she saw the Buster Scruggs and Jim Henson exhibits, and had a Friendsgiving Part 2. Jacob flew to Atlanta for work and saw stuff he can't talk about yet. Ben started going through footage for his Iceland video What we've been Watching: Peter saw Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, he also saw two superhero movies, Aquaman and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse but isn't able to give his reactions just yet. He also started watching the second season of American Vandal. Chris watched Deadwax on Shudder, Creed II, Mile 22, and the Netflix series Dogs. Hoai-Tran watched Mandy at the Metrograph, Memories of Murder on Amazon Prime, and is currently watching Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Brad watched Hotel Artemis and The Lion King Jacob watched most of Channel Zero season 4 in a dark hotel room and it was upsetting. He also mostly caught up on The Venture Bros. and is enjoying the new YouTube app on the Nintendo Switch far too much. Ben watched Widows and Creed II, is rewatching Community, and started season 2 of Ozark What we've been Reading: Peter has re-downloaded Marvel Unlimited and has read the first ten issues of Miles Morales run of Ultimate Spider-Man. Jacob has been reading Blood, Sweat and Pixels by Jason Schrier. He also picked up George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood. What we've been Eating: Peter tried the Peppermint Bark oreos and loves them. He also experienced Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure, and ate at Irv's Burgers for one last time. Brad tried Merry Mash-Up Mountain Dew, discovered you can get white chocolate peppermint mocha at Starbucks Jacob ate at South City Kitchen and Lure in Atlanta. What we've been Playing: Brad has been listening to The Greatest Showman Reimagined Jacob has also been listening to The Great Showman Reimagined and has played way, way, way, way too much Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch. He also played the card game Someone Has Died.
