Keith Miller, president of Partnerships for Dental (P4D), returns to the podcast to share how his organization has grown from 20 to 40 locations since 2017 while many competitors have faltered under challenging market conditions. With refreshing candor, Miller reveals the financial discipline that has kept P4D profitable despite rising interest rates and inflated practice valuations across the dental industry. At the heart of P4D's success lies a disciplined approach to acquisitions and operations. While competitors chased growth by paying 8-9x multiples for practices, Miller's team maintained strict financial criteria, focusing on practices generating at least $1.5 million with multiple providers. More impressively, they consistently deliver 35-40% EBITDA increases within the first year post-acquisition through supply chain optimization and operational improvements without disrupting clinical staffing. The conversation takes a fascinating turn when Miller describes how the dental acquisition landscape has fundamentally changed. What was once a robust arbitrage opportunity—buying practices at 3-4x multiples and selling consolidated groups at 10-15x—has compressed dramatically. Today's buyers pay 6-7x while consolidated entities might only command 9-10x, leaving razor-thin margins after corporate overhead. This shift has created significant challenges for highly leveraged groups, especially with interest rates soaring from 3-5% to 11%+.Miller also shares innovative approaches to post-COVID staffing challenges, including technology partnerships that have cut insurance collection times from 30 to 15 days. The episode concludes with personal insights on wellness routines, including daily ice baths and sauna sessions, providing a glimpse into the discipline that carries through both his business and personal life. For practice owners considering partnerships or entrepreneurs building dental groups, this episode delivers essential perspective on creating sustainable growth in today's challenging dental marketplace. What is it about our tribe that we need to make sure it is clear that we are right and everyone else is wrong? What I mean by our tribe is Bible believing, church going, evangelicals who say that we agree with Jesus on everything that He said being right and true. Just so that there is no misunderstanding about what I mean by the word our, I want to be clear that I am including myself in my question about our tribe. Let me begin by acknowledging and confessing some things that I know to be true about myself. I have some very strong convictions about some things. I hold to certain convictions that I hold to that if my heart and mind are left unchecked, I can come off sounding like an arrogant, know-it-all jerk. There are certain convictions that are good for all people and there are convictions that are good for you. When it comes to convictions, I believe there are three categories every person has: There are convictions that I have that I believe we need to have. There are convictions that I have that I believe you should There are convictions that I have that I believe are good for me to have. Convictions that are of primary importance are convictions that are so important that to reject those convictions or ignore them is detrimental to biblical orthodoxy (right belief) and orthopraxy (right practice). Some examples of primary convictions include: The origin of the universe, the inerrancy of the Bible as Holy Scripture, the person and work of Jesus Christ (his virgin birth, his suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection), the second coming of Christ to judge the living and the dead, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, and the teaching that God is One and yet three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) while existing as one God (aka the Trinity). Secondary issues I hold with an open hand because being wrong on such things does not affect my faith and salvation, nor do they have eternal consequences. Some secondary issues are really important, and you should hold to some level of conviction regarding them. Secondary convictions may be over topics and matters the Bible does address such as the timing of Jesus second coming, leadership roles for men and women in the church, and even the age of the universe. Then there are those convictions we have that come out of a third category primarily related to issues of conscience that the Bible is not as clear about. In Pauls day it was over the use and consumption of discounted meat that came from animals sacrificed to idols. I heard a quote referenced by Tara Leigh Cobble that I really like and believe to be great advice: Dont shout where scripture whispers and dont whisper where scripture shouts. This sermon is not about secondary or tertiary level convictions, but it is about what God primarily wants for your life. What is it that God wants for your life? We are told in the verses leading up to James 1:19. Here are some of the verses that clue us into what God wants for your life: God wants your faith to endure: Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (Jas. 1:24) God wants you to live wisely: But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (Jas. 1:5) God wants you to walk humbly: Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away. (Jas. 1:910) God wants you to pursue Him in holiness: Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (Jas. 1:12) Listen to What God Wants to Teach You (vv. 19-21) What does it mean to be offended? Based on the English dictionary, to be offended is to be insulted, hurt, or upset. If I understand the Christian life and how it is that God brings change in our lives, it seems to me that for God to accomplish what He needs to in my life, He must insult my assumptions, wound my ego, and upset the trajectory of my life. Jesus said, And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed (John 3:19-20). Jesus said that for a person to be born again light must invade and overcome spiritual darkness; for that to happen, God must insult, hurt, and upset a persons life so that they can go from spiritual death to spiritual life! In James 1:18, we are told: In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. The word of truth includes the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it is also all of Gods written Word. We know this because of the way verses 22-27 describe how God uses His word to change and shape the lives of His people. Spiritual life and new birth cannot happen apart from the good news of Jesus Christ; in Romans 1:16, Paul wrote of the gospel: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. What is the gospel? It is this: Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:1-4). What James states in verse 19 is primarily how it is that God uses His word in the lives of His people to live and finish well. Why does God want this for your life? Well, again, in verse 18, God used His word (the gospel) so that we can become born again, so that we would be a kind of a first fruits among His creatures (v. 18). Here is the thing about first fruits: The Israelites were commanded to give God the first fruits of their crops which was the best of their crops. If you are a Christian, you are Gods first fruits, which means you are of great value to Him, and what He wants for you is to thrive as His child! How one thrives as a child of God begins with James 1:19! Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger... What does it mean to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger? Be quick to listen to what God has to say... period. Be slow to speak your mind... because God has already spoken. Because God has spoken, and your opinions and perspective do not carry the same weight... be slow to anger by swallowing your pride. What He has said is what ultimately matters! What God wants for you is so much more than the time you have remaining with your vapor-like mortal life; this is why James wrote four chapters later: Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit. Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are just a vapor that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away (Jas. 4:1314). What does He want for you? Salvation, for you to stand in His wisdom, for you to walk in Christs humility, for His word and the Spirit to produce holiness in you! God uses His word to form and shape His people through the power of His Holy Spirit. To listen to His word intently will mean that you must let Gods word challenge your assumptions about who He is, how you live your life, and the world you live in. This is why we must be both slow to speak and slow to anger. What does that mean? Well, if you do not like what Gods word says because of what you would like Gods word to say, you must yield your life, heart, and soul to it. When the word of God confronts you, when it challenges your assumptions, and when it calls you to action, your best course of action is to yield knowing that God wants to accomplish His good will in and through your life for your joy and His glory. This is how you address, ...all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness in your life. This will not happen in your life if you are passive about His word. Learn to Apply What God Wants for You (vv. 22-24) How can you become quick to hear? How do you become slow to speak? You do so by apply Gods word to your life. You do so by humbly yielding to the authority of Gods word over your life (v. 21). You do so by becoming a doer of the word, and not just a hearer of the word. Now you may be asking: But I thought James 1:19 just told us to be quick to listen to Gods word? James does say that, for that is where we must begin, but listening to the word of God does us no good if we are not going to do what it says by applying it to our lives. Being quick to listen to Gods word is both important and necessary, but to listen to it only is like the person, ...who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. Mirrors are good, but looking into a mirror in the morning will not fix your hair, brush your teeth, or fix whatever needs fixing before you head out the door in the morning. The point of a mirror is to show you what you need to do. When you read your Bible, it is telling you what to do, but if your response to reading it is only to read it, then you are like the fool who agrees with what the mirror reveals but does nothing about what he sees. To be quick to listen is to be slow to speak because you are more concerned about doing something about what you heard from Gods word! This is why James does not end with verse 24, but continues to verses 25-27, But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this persons religion is worthless. Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. (Jas. 1:2527) One pastor said of James epistle: He doesnt want to know the words you heard on Sunday unless they resulted in action on Monday. If anyone thinks he is religious, his Christianity must be practical (1:26). Vertical worship must have horizontal expression. Your faith must be seen in your conversation, your compassion, and your conduct.[1] What is the word of God? The word of God is, living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4:12). What is the word of God? The word of God is, inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17). So, dear Christian, what are you going to do with what you have heard? What are going to do with the word of God every time you hear it? God wants to use it along with the power of His Holy Spirit for your endurance, to grow you in living your life wisely, to humble you for the purpose of forming in you a Christ-like character, and to move you towards the kind of holiness He saved you for and is calling you towards. Conclusion Now, listen carefully. You should care deeply about the primary things the Bible addresses and you should care about what others believe about such things like who God is, the person and work of Jesus Christ, the inspiration and authority of Gods word, and what the Bible says about why Jesus came and what it means to follow Him. We should and must care about all that the Bible teaches and we should care about whether people have heard about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We should care enough about what the word of God says that we desire and are willing to humble ourselves for the purpose of yielding our lives to what it says. We should care about being doers of Gods holy word in all that we say and do. But... and this is a big BUT... When it comes to matters of conscience concerning what you think about third tiered matters that rightly have pricked your conscience, but the Spirit of God has not done the same in my life... what matters is what God has said about it, not so much what Keith Miller or anyone else has said about it. Now in saying that, it is good and charitable to listen more and talk less when we are discussing matters of conscience. What I mean is that instead of assuming the worst about a persons convictions it would be good to listen to why and how that person has arrived with his/her convictions. It is also wise and charitable to recognize some of your convictions are good for you, but the Spirit of God may not have moved in a similar way in your brother/sister in Christ who loves the same Jesus as you do. Just because someone does not agree with you does not mean that person is against you. Permit me to share with you two sets of Gods word that ought to guide every conversation you have about your convictions or the convictions of another brother or sister in Christ: Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Cor. 13:47) The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, lets follow the Spirit as well. Lets not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. (Gal. 5:2226) At the end of the day, who cares what you think about Donald Trump, what you think of Joe Biden, what you think about this thing or that thing. What you think about who said what or what network is better than the other network. At the end of the day your opinions are just that... opinions. What matters is what has God said about it and what you are going to do with what He has said. In closing, let me share something with you that God said that you really should apply to your second and third tier convictions before you feel the desire or need to share those convictions with others: Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:1318) [1] Tony Evans, The Tony Evans Bible Commentary (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 2019), 1340.

It was a hot summer day when my oldest son and I were out working in the yard. I was doing the mowing; he was doing some clipping around the rocks; working just a little bit behind me where I had just mown. And I noticed that he was working pretty hard, and I glanced at him. I was pretty pleased with how he was doing, and I just kind of gave him a quick smile and went back to work. About ten minutes later he walked up to me and I could see his lips moving, but I could not understand what he was saying because of the lawn mower was so loud. So, I turned the mower down and I said, "What did you say, son?" And he said, "Dad, would you do that again?" And I said, "Do what again?" He said, "Would you give me another smile like you did a few minutes ago?" And then this is what I'll never forget. He said, "Dad, you know, it's your smile that keeps me going." Talk about a melted Dad! "It's your smile that keeps me going." He had decided that a father's approval was worth working for. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Whose Smile You're Working For." In our word for today from the Word of God the Apostle Paul tells us whose smile he was working for. Galatians 1:10 - Paul says, "Am I now trying to win the approval of men or of God?" By the way, that's a good question to ask looking in the mirror today. "Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Wow! Paul said in essence, "I've decided who my audience is. I've decided whose applause I'm interested in. I've decided whose smile I want." And frankly he's saying, "It just doesn't matter to me what men think of what I've done, but I want to know that my Lord Jesus is smiling when the day is over and saying, 'Good day. Good job, faithful servant.'" Now, when you work, and sweat, and minister, and sacrifice; when you do all those things that you do for your family, who are you doing it for? Even the simple things of household chores, homework, tasks you have to accomplish at work. Who are you doing it for? The answer to that question makes all the difference in the fulfillment factor and the meaning of what you're doing. Years ago, author Keith Miller told in one of his books about getting close to the Oklahoma college football team at a time when they had the longest winning streak in college history. For years they had not been defeated. And he went to a practice at the invitation of the soon tp become immortal Coach Bud Wilkinson, and he said after a couple of days there that he found out what their secret was. They lived for Monday. Yeah, that's when they watched the movies of the game with Coach Wilkinson, because as it turned out it really didn't matter to them what the sports writers said. And even though there were say 50,000 people in the stadium, it really didn't matter ultimately whether they cheered or jeered. And it didn't really matter even what the rest of the team said. They waited for one thing. They waited for the coach's verdict on how they had played that day. And Keith Miller said, "The secret of that football team's winning was that they played only for the coach." How about you and me? Are you playing for the stands, you playing for the other people on the team, playing for the writers, the publicity? I'll tell you this: ultimately every other audience will prove disappointing and unappreciative. You do it for your family, sometimes they'll disappoint you. For your church, for some Christian leader, for your employer, for your teachers? Count on it, sometime they're going to let you down. But the Bible says, "We serve the Lord Christ." And the thrill of that is taking today's activity and saying, "Lord Christ, I'm doing it all for You."

He was honoured for his actions as a bomber pilot in Papua New Guinea during March 1943 when, despite intense anti-aircraft fire, he pressed home a series of attacks on the Salamaua Isthmus, the last of which saw him forced to ditch his aircraft in the sea. Newton was still officially posted as missing when the award was made in October 1943. It later emerged that he had been taken captive by the Japanese, and executed by beheading on 29 March.Raised in Melbourne, Newton excelled at sport, playing cricket at youth state level. He joined the Citizen Military Forces in 1938, and enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in February 1940. Described as having the dash of "an Errol Flynn or a Keith Miller", Newton served as a flying instructor in Australia before being posted to No. 22 Squadron, which began operating Boston light bombers in New Guinea late in 1942. Having just taken part in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea, he was on his fifty-second mission when he was shot down and captured. Newton was the only Australian airman to receive a Victoria Cross for action in the South West Pacific theatre of World War II, and the sole Australian to be so decorated while flying with an RAAF squadron. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:38 UTC on Saturday, 8 June 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Bill Newton on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm Brian Standard.

When Francisco Álvarez was hit by a pitch yesterday to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning, Buck Showalter made the move that any manager would, sending in Tim Locastro to run for his catcher, needing him to go 270 feet to win the game.It turned out that Álvarez just could have scored as easily as Locastro did, as DJ Stewart singled, Mark Vientos walked, and Rafael Ortega laced the walkoff single to right field. The last time the Mets had a pinch-runner come in and score as part of a walkoff rally was three years ago today, Billy Hamilton in the seventh inning at Yankee Stadium, in a doubleheader nightcap where the Mets were the home team. In that one, Jeff McNeil walked against Aroldis Chapman, and Hamilton came in and stole second base before trotting home on Amed Rosario's two-run shot.In that instance, Hamilton represented the tying run. So did Juan Lagares when he scored on Dominic Smith's home run to end the 2019 season. But it is Lagares who was the previous Mets pinch-runner to bring home a walkoff run. On September 26, 2017, Kevin Plawecki greeted A.J. Minter with a single as the Mets were tied 3-3 with Atlanta. Smith walked and Rosario struck out before Travis Taijeron delivered the winning hit. There's been only one time in Mets history that a runner entered the game, stole a base, and scored the winning run, and it was in the 13th inning on April 23, 1992, after a duel between Bret Saberhagen and Donovan Osborne went scoreless into extras. The Mets had already caught Rex Hudler stealing in the 12th when Dave Magadan singled with one out in the 13th — he was replaced at first by Rodney McCray, who became famous the year before. You've seen that video a million times. You probably haven't seen McCray go to second on a Junior Noboa single, steal third, and after an intentional walk to Charlie O'Brien, score the winning run when Juan Agosto hit Daryl Boston with a pitch. Well, now you can, because that game is on YouTube, with Tim McCarver and Ralph Kiner on the call.Shoutout to Keith Miller, who pinch-ran for Garry Templeton after a leadoff single in the ninth inning of a 5-4 game, got picked off but advanced to second because Expos pitcher Barry Jones threw the ball away, then stole third and eventually scored on Kevin McReynolds' walkoff grand slam off Scott Ruskin. That was the last walkoff grand slam the Mets hit at Shea, following Mike Jorgensen in 1980 and Tim Teufel in 1986. Tim Harkness and Jim Hickman each did it in 1963 at the Polo Grounds, while Citi Field has had walkoff slams by Jordany Valdespin in 2013, Ike Davis in 2014, and José Bautista in 2018. 4.3.2023 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: Angel Reese Double Standard, MLK's Mason Temple Speech 55th Anniversary, IL Chicago Mayoral Election New York City is preparing for Trump's arraignment and the mayor as a stern warning for anyone coming to the city to start trouble. The only way to be different is to do different—seeing our autopilot ways of being and disrupting them is the only way change happens. I rarely struggle to know what I believe the right thing to do is but I often have the inability to do the right thing…I normally know the right things about how to relate, how to do relationships, and when I get anxious sometimes and maybe some people would say often the anxiety gets in the way of my ability to do the right thing” This is the first episode in an ongoing theme we'll be exploring the rest of the year about practices that help us all grow our emotional maturity. Conversation Overview Why is it so hard? What is an autopilot? How can we learn to see our autopilot? Do we really want to change? Ways we can learn to change our autopilot Organizations (teams and families) have autopilots References: Immunity to Change Hunger for Healing by Keith Miller

Day 202 Today's Reading: Titus 2 Do you have the happiest or the unhappiest job? Recently Bloomberg Work Wise put out a list of the happiest jobs in America, based on fulfillment, coworkers, supervisors, and balance of home and life. Here are the top five: firefighters topped the list, followed by machine operators, pediatricians, communication professors, and guidance counselors. Bloomberg also listed the top jobs in which people are asking, “Is it 5 p.m. yet?” These are the jobs where lunch hour rescues them. They are: mail clerks and sorters are the first on the list, followed in order by court and municipal clerks, house cleaners, insurance claims and policy clerks, telemarketers. When talking about work, A. W. Tozer said: “We must do worldly jobs, but if we do them with sanctified minds, they no longer are worldly but are as much a part of our offering to God as anything else we give to Him.” In today's chapter Paul wants to teach us a lesson on work, regardless of which list we are on. And we find no better place to know how to sanctify our minds and make our job an offering to God than in Titus 2:9-10: "Servants are to be supportive of their masters and do what is pleasing in every way. They are not to be argumentative nor steal but prove themselves to be completely loyal and trustworthy. By doing this they will advertise through all that they do the beautiful teachings of God our Savior." (TPT) In Titus 2, Paul begins to give advice to a number of different groups. He speaks to the men and women who are part of AARP; he calls them older men and older women. Then he has advice for young men and young women. And then Paul speaks to laborers who encompass all these groups. Author Dorothy Sayers, one of C. S. Lewis's literary friends said: “The only Christian work is good work well done.” That's our goal: good work well done. In their book, The Edge of Adventure, Keith Miller and Bruce Larson wrote, “If you are miserable or bored in your work, or dread going to it, then God is speaking to you. He either wants you to change the job you are in or—more likely—he wants to change you.” I think Paul helps us here, regardless of what job we have, and I think Titus 2 is a good place to start with wanting us to change. Paul says when we work the right way in our jobs, we advertise God the Savior through what we do, not what we say. A lot of people like to talk, but it is those who do rather than talk who make the greatest impact. Former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz said: “When all is said and done, more is usually said than done.” Let's be a people who do more than say more. Here is Paul's challenge for us, our on-the-job training: • be supportive • do what is pleasing in every way • do not be argumentative • don't steal • prove to be completely loyal and trustworthy Paul tells us to make those things our priority and we will be a walking advertisement for God. The Living Bible paraphrases that last part like this: “In this way they will make people want to believe in our Savior and God.” We make God attractive by being a great employee. We witness for Jesus without even saying the name of Jesus. Jesus alluded to this principle in the Sermon on the Mount: “Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance. . . . Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16, TPT). Here it is in its simplicity. People see your good actions and attribute them to God in your life. It goes like this: your Christian faith should translate into good employee habits—showing up on time, not stealing, not being argumentative, being loyal, being trustworthy. When you are a good worker, you make God look good. Then eventually that opens the way for you to have a good God conversation with others about it. Talking to people about your faith is last, not first. Usually those who talk first have a lifestyle that messes up their conversation. Charles Swindoll shares an old story of Saint Francis of Assisi. One day Saint Francis said to one of his students, “Come with me. Let's go down to the village and preach to the people who need our Savior.” Off they went. Once at the gate they stopped, bent down to speak kind words to a crippled old man, and gave him a cool drink of water and a few coins. Then they saw some children playing with a ball out in the field, so they joined their game and had fun with the children. While they played, a lonely widow watching at her doorstep drew their attention. When they finished the game, they visited with her, bringing her a few words of cheer and encouragement. A fearful young man lurked in the shadows, ashamed of what he had done the night before. They prayed with him, spoke with him openly and freely about forgiveness, grace, and mercy, and they encouraged him to pursue a more productive future. On the way out of town, they stopped at a small store and greeted the merchant, asked about his family, and thanked him for his faithful work through the years. Finally Saint Francis said, “Let's go back.” The novice stopped and said, “But wait, when do we preach?” The older friar answered, “Every step we took, every word we spoke, every action we did has been a sermon.” Imagine how well we could represent God if we approached our lives and work that same way?

Welcome back Uncommon Leader Podcast nation! I've got a first for you today on the show. Today's guests are the father daughter team of Teresa Weston and Keith Miller. They are the coauthors of the book WIDE-EYED Wisdom. This is a book for equipping young adults on their transition to adulthood. It's a framework, if you will, to help young people bridge the gap between 18 and adulting. I appreciate how Keith and Teresa express why they wrote their book. It was to help families to lead their kids better and to get better starts and not dig a hole for themselves before they even get a start in the world. Imagine what would be possible if we equipped and mentored young leaders on understanding money issues, career choices, and even better character traits such as forgiveness self-confidence discipline and loving others. This book is so needed. You're gonna LOVE what they have to say!!Stay in touch with Keith & Teresa and learn more about this WIDE-EYED Wisdom movement at their website wide-eyedwisdom.com .
