Assassin's Creed Shadows has been delayed from November of this year to Feb. 14th 2025. In a statement posted to Twitter, the team cited the need to further polish and refine the experience, and to push some of its key features even further. Preorders for the game are being refunded, along with Ubisoft doing away with its traditional season pass model, allowing all future preorders to be given the first expansion for free. Remarking on this delay in a financial call, Ubisoft mentioned the learnings garnered from Star Wars Outlaws release, which led them to think about delaying Shadows to further tinker away at Shadows to make sure it is well polished and meets expectations. This is rather ambitious, giving us two distinct game styles with two unique protagonists you can play as in-game. Coinciding with this news, Ubisoft admits that Star Wars Outlaws didn't do so well. In the financial call, along with speaking on the delay of Assassin's Creed Shadow, Ubisoft spoke on changes it'll be making in response to player feedback on Outlaws to potentially garner a larger audience and potentially sustain the few that are still playing. And finally, we discuss Palworld's PS5 release worldwide, except for in Japan.

Phil Lesh's Triumphant Return: A Musical Journey 25 Years Ago TodayLarry Mishkin provides a retrospective analysis of a significant musical event from April 15th, 1999, focusing on Phil Lesh's return to the stage after surgery, marking the first Phil and Friends show.  He discusses the lineup, including Trey Anastasio and Paige McConnell from Phish, and highlights their performance of various songs, notably "Viola Lee Blues" and "Hello Old Friend." The discussion also touches on recent music news, including the cancellation of the Skull and Roses festival and a tribute event for Jimmy Buffett featuring Paul McCartney and the Eagles. Additionally, it anticipates Fish's upcoming performances at the Las Vegas Sphere venue. Phil Lesh & FriendsApril 15, 1999 (25 years ago)Warfield Theater, S.F.Phil Lesh and Friends Live at Warfield Theater on 1999-04-15 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Lineup:Phil Lesh - BassSteve Kimock - GuitarsJohn Molo - DrumsTrey Anastasio - GuitarPage McConnell – Keys  INTRO:                      Hello Old Friend                                    Track # 1                                    0:10 – 1:47 25 years ago, Phil Lesh & Friends featuring guitarist Trey Anastasio and keyboardist Page McConnell of Phish kicked off their landmark three-night run at The Warfield in San Francisco on this date in 1999. Guitarist Steve Kimock and drummer John Molo rounded out the lineup of one of the most memorable collaborations the jam world has seen. This was the first ever performance of Phil & Friends and quite a memorable group of Friends to be playing with at a storied S.F. music venue. The shows also marked Lesh's return after undergoing liver transplant surgery at the age of 58 due to chronic hepatitis C infection. The April 15 concert kicked off with Phil and his sons Brian (??) And Grahame Lesh (12), backed by guitarist Steve Kimmock, in front of the curtain, performing Eric Clapton's “Hello Old Friend” as a fitting first song back for Phil. Both boys are strong musicians and Grahame, who graduated from Stanford in 2010 with a music degree, is a regular touring member of Phil and Friends in addition to playing with his own band, Midnight North.Phil Lesh's surgery took place at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida on December 17, 1998, barely 4 months earlier. Lesh, who was 58 at the time, had been suffering from internal bleeding caused by hepatitis C, which he was diagnosed with in 1992. He received the liver of a young man named Cody and his since started encores of his concerts by preaching the importance of becoming an organ donor."Hello Old Friend" is a country rock song, written and recorded by the British rock musician Eric Clapton. The track was released in October 1976 as the first of two singles from Clapton's 1976 studio album entitled No Reason to Cry. the AllMusic critic William Ruhlmann notes, "Hello Old Friend" is the best pop/rock song on the album. He goes on describe the title as a "identifiable" Clapton piece of music.[2]Rolling Stone journalist Dave Marsh called the song "a whimsical and silly slice of attempted innocence".[3]Billboard said that it has a reggae feel similar to that of "I Shot the Sheriff."[4]Record World called it "a midtempo number constructed around a network of acoustic and slide guitars.” The Grateful Dead never played the song in concert.   The five-piece then showed off its firepower with a 34-minute “Viola Lee Blues.”  SHOW No. 1:           Viola Lee Blues                                    Track # 2                                    31:30 – 33:01 In a 1999 interview with Jambands.com, Lesh revealed that it was Anastasio's idea to do “Viola Lee” and talked about how he started listening to Phish and also how the collaboration came about. Read an excerpt below:“[Phish's music]…was absolutely entrancing, it was just gorgeous…but I couldn't hear the piano well on the live tapes, so I went back to the CD's and started listening to Page and what he was doing, and so I said “Well…” and my wife said “Come on, Come on, give them a call.” Somehow I got their phone numbers, and I gave them both a call. We talked about it, and they said we'd love to do it, and so we set a date, and we started calling back and forth, and like I said earlier they brought in a dozen Grateful Dead tunes I never would have thought of doing, but they wanted to [do] them. And we got together at rehearsal and the first thing we did together was “Viola Lee Blues,” and from there on out it was like now let's do this one, and let's do this one. It was real rehearsal in the sense that the Grateful Dead rarely was. Grateful Dead rehearsals were kind of comical. We believed in public rehearsals.” A long time favorite of Phil's, he picked it as one of the live tunes for the GD album, Fallout From The Phil Zone – a collection of some of Phil's favorite live tracks of various Dead tunes released on June 17, 1997.  In the liner notes he said this of the song: “The definitive early Grateful Dead jammin' tune, the first one we ever really stretched out beyond all recognition, by using what we called then “shifting gears” – which is really nothing but a twenty minute accelerando, influenced by the North Indian music that we were listening to a lot at that time.” Played only 44 times by the BandFirst:  March 19, 1966 at Carthay Studios, Los Angeles, CA,Last:  October 31, 1970 at Stony Brook Gymnasium in Stony Brook, NY Also played June 27, 2015 at Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA, USA  50th Anniversary shows MUSIC NEWS:Skull and Roses called off, no refunds After the exploratory, bar-setting, “Viola Lee,” the quintet would run through more material from the Dead canon with Trey and Page harmonizing on “Big Railroad Blues,” Phil singing “Jack-a-Roe” and Phil, Trey and Page harmonizing on “Cosmic Charley”   SHOW No. 2:           Cosmic Charlie                                    Track #5                                    3:25 – 5:12 Old Time Music and Hope Barnett: Grateful Dead was known for their unique and poetic songwriting style, and “Cosmic Charlie” is no exception. Released in 1969 on their album “Aoxomoxoa,” this song has captivated fans for decades with its enigmatic lyrics and psychedelic sound. Exploring themes of spirituality, love, and the human experience, “Cosmic Charlie” takes listeners on a sonic journey unlike any other. The meaning behind “Cosmic Charlie” is open to interpretation, as with many of the band's songs. Some believe it was inspired by the vision of a fictional character named Cosmic Charlie, who travels through different dimensions, spreading joy and love. Others see it as a metaphor for the human longing for connection and transcendence. The lyrics, although cryptic at times, convey a sense of wonder and mystery that invites listeners to delve deeper into their own consciousness. The overall message of “Cosmic Charlie” seems to be one of embracing the cosmic and spiritual aspects of life. It encourages listeners to let go of their inhibitions, explore the unknown, and seek connection with the universe. The song invites individuals to tap into their inner selves and discover the hidden realms of existence. While “Cosmic Charlie” was never released as a single and did not enjoy mainstream success, it holds a special place in the Grateful Dead's discography and the hearts of their fans. Its eclectic and unique style showcased the band's experimental tendencies and cemented their reputation as pioneers of the psychedelic rock genre. Love hearing Trey and Page singing along on this old timey Dead gem. Played 45 times by the Dead (38 in 1969 and 1970, 1 in 1971 and, inexplicably, 6 in 1976.First: January 17, 1969 at Robertson Gymnasium, University of California Santa Barbara Campus, CA, USALast: September 25, 1976 at Capital Centre, Landover, MD, USA 1984 Deadheads would pass around a petition asking the band to play the song again and also pass out cards before the show with the lyrics just in case they played it. Finally, for the Phish fans in the crowded Warfield, the first Phish tune of the run (and only one that night), “Wolfman's Brother.” SHOW No. 3:           Wolfman's Brother                                    Track # 6                                    1:30 – 2:58 On this one, writing credit goes to the entire band plus long time Phish lyricist, Tom Marshall.Released on Hoist (stylized as (HOIST)) is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Phish, released on March 29, 1994, by Elektra Records. At the time of its release, Hoist was Phish's best selling album to date, peaking at No. 34 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on August 19, 1996, and remains the band's best-selling studio release, outsold in their discography only by the platinum-certified A Live One.Old Time Music:  Mike WellsMusic has a unique way of connecting with our emotions, memories, and experiences. It has the power to transport us to a different time and place, evoking feelings we may have long forgotten. One song that has always resonated deeply with me is “Wolfman's Brother” by Phish. This track, featured in their 1994 album “Hoist,” holds a special meaning and significance for both the band and their dedicated fanbase. the lyrics of “Wolfman's Brother” have a universal appeal. They invite listeners to reflect upon their own encounters with enigmatic figures or forces that have left a lasting impact. It encourages us to confront the demons that haunt us and search for understanding and resolution.Listening to “Wolfman's Brother” live is an entirely different experience. The band's extended jams and improvisations add a new layer of depth and intensity to the song. It becomes a collective experience, with the audience joining in as the lyrics are chanted by thousands of voices.Phil spoke with Jambands.com about wadding into the Phish catalog:I had thought maybe we would do this tune or that tune, and in the end, we only ended up doing one tune that I thought we would do, and that was “Prince Caspian,” and then they brought up those other three, “Wolfman's Brother,” which I had never heard, and “Down With Disease” and “Chalkdust Torture,” which I hadn't heard either until we played them at the rehearsal, and then I went and got the CD's and checked them out. But then I started listening to their other stuff, their other stuff is real interesting, but you can tell by listening to that that they need their forty hour weeks, because they really need to get that shit down. Never played by the Dead. MJ NEWS – One Toke Over The Line!!!  STRAINS: Strawberry Shortcake – a wonderful nighttime indica strain that that has a tart strawberry taste and leaves you with a good face melt and some couch lock.  Wait until you get home before diving in.  No great if you are with a group of people who are looking for your active participation in whatever they are doing!  But wonderful to relax and get ready for a good night's sleep. Blue Dream – every now and then I swing back to one of the all time greats.  Nice for daytime and early evening use.  Just have to be sure that whatever they are calling Blue Dream is really Blue Dream.  It does have a fairly distinctive taste and smell so if you are familiar with the strain, you should be able to tell if you have the real stuff. Tang – a wonderful sativa that is energetic without providing the standard “sativa crash” as it wears off.  Also nice because of it's ability to “cut through” any buzz you may already have and provide a new uplifting effect. After a first set-closing “Uncle John's Band,” the second frame got underway with Lesh leading on “Alabama Getaway” and “Sugaree,” the latter of which featured the band taking things out again and stretching the song to over 20 minutes. Phil once again stepped to the mic for a cover of the Bob Dylan classic “Like A Rolling Stone” that saw Trey and Page joining him on the chorus – I love that tune, the first Phil & Friends show I ever saw, featuring the Quintet, at the Riviera Theater in Chicago with good buddy Jimmy they opened with a 15 minute version of this tune into a 30 minutes cover of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, just too many other good tunes from this show -  and led into a spirited “I Know You Rider.” Anastasio then fronted the quintet on a sweet version of “Row Jimmy”   SHOW No. 4:           Row Jimmy                                 Track #12                                   2:10 – 3:55 Garcia/Huner tune, Wake of the Flood is the sixth studio album (and tenth album overall) by the rock band the Grateful Dead. Released on October 15, 1973, it was the first album on the band's own Grateful Dead Recordslabel. Their first studio album in nearly three years, it was also the first without founding member Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, who had recently died. His absence and keyboardist Keith Godchaux's penchants for bebop and modal jazz (rather than McKernan's tendencies toward the blues and rhythm and blues) contributed to the band's musical evolution. Godchaux's wife, vocalist Donna Jean Godchaux, also joined the group and appears on the album.[8]The release fared better on the pop charts than their previous studio album (1970's American Beauty), reaching No. 18. After three live albums in a row, the Grateful Dead wanted to record studio versions of songs written since Keith Godchaux had joined the band. At the time of recording, five of the songs on the album (and part of a 6th) had been in live rotation for up to a year and a half, as arrangements were road-tested and finalized. Referring to this period, bassist Phil Lesh explained, "We'd learned to break in the material at shows (under fire, as it were), rather than try to work it out at rehearsals, or in the studio at tremendous expense." Describing Godchaux's influence, drummer Bill Kreutzmann characterized the album as "Keith's coming out party." Remarking on the evolution in style, he remembered:Jerry brought "Row Jimmy" into us one day, and it was really difficult to get a grip on it at first.     It has a slow tempo, which makes it seem like it would be easy, but it calls for a slight reggae groove layered over a ballad. Rhythmically, the lengths aren't traditional. They're not just twos and fours. It's deceiving. Basically, you have to play the song in half-time with a double-time bounce on top. It's trickier than it sounds. But once I locked into it, "Row Jimmy" became one of the best songs in our repertoire. Played 274 timesFirst:  February 9, 1973 at Maples Pavilion, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, a show we featured earlier this year.Last: June 21, 1991 at Knickerbocker Arena in Albany Cannot say enough about Trey's strong vocals on this tune.  This is 16 years before the 50th reunion shows where Trey would play lead guitar for all five shows (2 in Santa Clara and 3 at Soldier Field).  And at this point, Phish had only covered one Dead tune in concert:  Terraping Station on August 9, 1998 at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater on the third anniversary of Jerry's death.  Since that point, it is still the only time Phish has covered a Dead tune in concert.  Why only that one?  Who knows.  Trey is certainly more than qualified to cover any Dead tune and the other guys have all played with various Dead members from time to time.  One of the great mysteries of the Phish world (at least for me). This was followed by a crowd-pleasing “Shakedown Street” which saw the band stretching their legs once again for a nearly 20-minute excursion. Next, “The Wheel” led into a 15 minute version of the classic closer “Not Fadeaway” to bring set two to a conclusion. After Phil's donor rap and band intros, Phil & Phriends closed out Night One of the run with Phil singing lead Dylan's “Mr. Tambourine Man,” which they did in the style of The Byrds.   OUTRO:                    Mr. Tambourine Man                                    Track #18                                    0:00 – 1:28 Leave you with one of my favorite Bob Dylan tunes. "Mr. Tambourine Man" is a song written by Bob Dylan, released as the first track of the acoustic side of his March 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home. The song's popularity led to Dylan recording it live many times, and it has been included in multiple compilation albums. It has been translated into other languages and has been used or referenced in television shows, films, and books. The song has been performed and recorded by many artists, including the Byrds, Judy Collins, Melanie, Odetta, and Stevie Wonder among others. The Byrds' version was released in April 1965 as their first single on Columbia Records, reaching number 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK Singles Chart, as well as being the title track of their debut album, Mr. Tambourine Man. The Byrds' recording of the song was influential in popularizing the musical subgenres of folk rock and jangle pop, leading many contemporary bands to mimic its fusion of jangly guitars and intellectual lyrics in the wake of the single's success. Dylan himself was partly influenced to record with electric instrumentation after hearing the Byrds' reworking of his song. The song has been in Dylan's live concert repertoire since it was written,[10] usually as a solo acoustic song, and live performances have appeared on various concert albums and DVDs. An early performance, perhaps the song's live debut, recorded at London's Royal Festival Hall on May 17, 1964. Great version, again with Trey and Page joining in.  I think Phil surprised them with pace of the tune right at the start, but everyone catches up and it's a fun song to hear in concert.  Great way to close out night 1 of this 3 night return to the stage run for Phil.  Best part is that 25 years later he is still going strong at 84! Phil and Friends have covered it 6 timesFirst:  at this show! Most recent:  October 5, 2000 at Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA, USA  (doesn't seem correct to me because I'm fairly certain I've seen Phil perform this live since 2000, but so far cannot seem to come up with the place, date or folks he was playing with.  Happens sometimes! Finally, this show marks the first instance of Phil's famed “Donor Rap” that precedes the encores of all of his shows .Produced by PodConx Deadhead Cannabis Show - https://podconx.com/podcasts/deadhead-cannabis-showLarry Mishkin - https://podconx.com/guests/larry-mishkinRob Hunt - https://podconx.com/guests/rob-huntJay Blakesberg - https://podconx.com/guests/jay-blakesbergSound Designed by Jamie Humiston - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamie-humiston-91718b1b3/Recorded on Squadcast

Senator Marsha Blackburn takes aim at the Biden administration's ending of its' policy of DNA testing children and the adult they were traveling with, across the southern border. The U.S. Senator for Tennessee says this is “so vitally important, what we found out when we did DNA testing at the border, and Joe Biden ended this saying, ‘well, it slowed down the process,' and ‘it took too long,' it takes only 45 minutes to do a DNA test. And doing that test, we learned that a third of the children who were being trafficked, they were not with an adult who was related to them.” Remarking, “think about that number, a third of the children with an adult that they probably don't know, but they're being sent with that adult or they're children that are being recycled, this is a horrific process and that the cartels use and they are children that they take from families, and they will send this child repeatedly to the southern border, when the child gets to the border, the adult is processed and sent in and the child gets sent back to their family and then the cartel takes them again. And they recycle them, they send them through with another group of adults claiming to be a family. And then once the child is separated, they send that child back and Border Patrol will tell you they've seen some children come through eight and nine times with different people, so this is a very abusive process.” Senator Blackburn says her new bill, will “fingerprint these children, it allows Border Patrol to fingerprint them, will help cut this out, because the cartels will know the rules of the game have changed, and that they're going to have to go through DNA testing and then they're going to be separated and these individuals [who they are trying to sneak through with the children] will be removed and disallowed entrance back into the country.”See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Kathleen Sgamma, President of Western Energy Alliance warns Americans of following after European electric vehicle and climate change mandates after the continents recent reversal of once revolutionary policies. Sgamma says, these policies once heralded have gotten Germany “into real trouble and they have the second highest electricity rates in Europe because they just didn't have enough energy. [The U.S. is now] sending natural gas to Germany, and they have increased their coal production and use because wind and solar don't work, they only work a portion of the time, and they have to be backed up. So we see what's happened in Europe, we know that Europe has backed off of EV mandates. But now we have all these other states following and saying we're all going to be EV's by 2030 or 2035. Well, Europe has backed off on their EV mandates, because they know they don't have the electricity to power them and they know that consumers don't want them.” Remarking, “there are literally car lots full of electric vehicles in China that can't be sold for acres and acres with weeds growing on them. #931 - Robert Greenidge The Robert Greenidge Interview is featured on The Paul Leslie Hour. Are you here? Dorothy said “there's no place like home.” When you're listening to The Paul Leslie Hour, we hope you feel like: “there's no place like here.” On this episode we're celebrating Mr. Robert Greenidge. You're about to hear an interview Paul did with Robert Greenidge in a hotel room the night before he was to perform with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band. The conversation began with Robert's solo album and from there went into a variety of directions.  Robert Greenidge is a man who has lived by and for the steel drum.  Sometimes called Robert G., he is a recording artist, entertainer and composer. He also fronts the band Club Trini along with partner and friend Michael Utley. He's a member of the Trinidad-based steel drum band The Desperadoes. Robert has recorded with artists ranging from Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Robert Palmer, and others. Robert has been a member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band for 40 years—since 1983. With the unfortunate passing of Jimmy Buffett, many are asking what will become of the Coral Reefer Band without Jimmy? The Trinidad Express newspaper recently interviewed Robert, and he suggested the band may carry on. Remarking on the passing of Buffett, Greenidge said “Would he want the show to go? Absolutely! He would say, ‘rock on!'” Interesting idea, isn't it? Mr. Greenidge is about to share some great stories, but real quick—consider giving yourself and others the gift of stories. You can do that_ _by going right here. Paul has many more great interviews in store for you. Be one of the people who keep this show going. And with that, let's hear from Robert Greenidge.

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), says that Biden's ‘Build Back Better plan' will have a hard sell in the Senate, as ‘five or six' Senators are already in highly contested races, as Biden's approval rating is ‘unbelievably low', with the American people. Senator Blackburn comments that Biden's ‘Build Back Broke plan' is a broad government power sweep as in, ‘one vote', the ‘government wants control of your kids, their education', ‘your health care, your bank account, your small business', and ‘wants to force through provisions of the green New Deal' says the Senator. Remarking that in Biden's bill ‘Congress appropriated the money to pay' ‘illegal aliens $450,000 per family' if separated at the border, which ‘could be as much as' ‘$1 million or $2 million or more per family'.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Kim reminds voters that their ballot can be traced from when it is mailed to them to acceptance by the County Clerk.  Track you ballot at the state website.  Pruett Helm, profiled in the book Mended Wings: The Vietnam War Experience Through the Eyes of Ten American Purple Heart Helicopter Pilots, is interviewed by Kim on America's Veterans Stories this Sunday at 3pm on KLZ 560 AM and KLZ 100.7 FM. Government policies are a contributing factor to the supply chain problems.  The Biden administration is considering payments of approximately $450,000 per person to settle lawsuits of illegal immigrants who state they suffered trauma due to Trump's policies in 2016 where parents and children were allegedly separated upon illegally entering the U.S.  This is part of the Cloward and Piven model from two Columbia University professors in the 60's.  Biden wants to crash our system through overburdensome entitlements so that he can “Build Back Better” instituting socialism and the World Economic Forum's one government rule.  Kim's “We the People” Voter's Guide is an excellent tool to use when voting.  Vote YES on Amendment 78 and Proposition 120 and a definitive NO on Proposition 119: LEAP, the new state retail marijuana tax “for the children.”  “Conservatives” (Former GOP Governor Bill Owens, former GOP State Treasurer Mark Hillman, former GOP Senate President John Andrews, George Brauchler and Rick Enstrom) send out a text recommending a “yes” on Proposition 119 because it “is the largest expansion of school choice in the US in a decade.”  It is unfortunate that these “conservatives” must deceive the voters as the proposition, on the top of page 3, states that funds cannot be used for school tuition.  Additionally, the vendors offered are pre-selected by the board.  This is not school choice as parents and their children are limited in their ability to select services and professionals from a list provided to them by a government administrative agency. The families do not receive money to pay the pre-selected vendors.  The vendors are paid directly by the “Authority.”  The City of Lone Tree's 2E ballot question is a NO vote as it is a massive retail sales increase of 55% (1.8% to 2.8%). Frequent guest Rick Turnquist joins Kim to discuss his recent op-ed, Where The Heck Are “We the People?”  Colorado has spun out of control with the tyrannical government now in place.  The Afghanistan withdrawal was a betrayal to our country and to our national interests.  Biden has no concern for U.S. citizens as he continually changes the number of Americans left behind.  Biden's handlers move him further left than Bernie Sanders.  In fact, using the Coward-Piven strategy, Biden is moving us to communism.  Remarking on Biden's payouts to illegal immigrants mentioned above, Rick states confidently that this is to get people to vote Democrat as no one forced these people to come into the U.S. illegally.  Not only is Biden and other leftists working to divide our country with mask mandates and Critical Race Theory in our schools, for examples, they want to punish people who are successful as seen in their proposed tax policies.  History shows us that socialism always fails in contrast to the success of capitalism and the flourishing of individuals.  Rick concludes, people must educate themselves on the ballot issues and candidates, using Kim’s voter's guide as a resource, and then vote.

In the below you will find the insight to the nature of self in this word, also a link to a mantra you may be familiar with in Japan. Another link I wished to share, culture, that was misheard as a discussion about meaning not message. The reason I mentioned ‘Independent'(the self) and the term used today in Malay for ‘Private'. Giving an insight to the meaning and the message. *There are many words for “healthy” in Samskr̥ta. https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/shvatha Probably the most commonis “svāsthya (स्वास्थ्य)”, the adjectival form of “svastha (स्वस्थ)” and literally means [state] of being healthy (svastha). In Hindi, the word svāsthya can be used as it is, or as its derivative svāstha. The Sanskrit word for health is Svasthya (स्वास्थ्य) and healthy is Svasth (स्वस्थ). It means coming to one's own self, realizing one's own self. SVA means self; 1 mf ( ā' ) n. own, one's own, my own, thy own, his own, her own, our own, their own https://www.sanskrita.org/wiki/index.php?title=sva SWASTHYA means getting rooted in the self. 'Medicine' and 'meditation' come from the same root. The Sanskrit word for healthy is 'svastha' स्वस्थ - sva-stha - self-positioned, that is, one who is centered in Self, the natural state. The swastika symbol, 卐 (right-facing or clockwise) or 卍 (left-facing, counterclockwise, or sauwastika), is an ancient religious icon in the cultures of Eurasia. It is used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism ṭīkā (टीका).—f (S) A commentary or comment: also an annotation or a note: also an interpretation, whether by a paraphrase or a semi-translation. As ṭīkā is especially of the Puran̤s, so bhāṣya is especially of the Sutras, although, now, bhāṣya is of the Vedas, and vṛtti of the Sutras. 2 fig. Swelling, amplifying, embellishing (of a simple matter). 3 fig. Remarking censoriously, commenting upon. From (sú, “good, well” Du as bad in dukka) + अस्ति (ásti-), a verbal abstract to the root of the verb "to be", svasti thus meaning "well-being" — and the diminutive suffix क (-ka); hence "little thing associated with well-being", corresponding roughly to "lucky charm". The word swastika comes from Sanskrit: स्वस्तिक, romanized: svastika, meaning "conducive to well-being". In Hinduism, the right-facing symbol (卐) is called swastika, symbolizing surya ("sun"), prosperity and good luck, while the left-facing symbol (卍) is called sauwastika, symbolising night or tantric aspects of Kali.[8] In Jainism, a swastika is the symbol for Suparshvanatha – the seventh of 24 Tirthankaras (spiritual teachers and saviours), while in Buddhism it symbolises the auspicious footprints of the Buddha. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika https://www.lionsroar.com/226988-2/ https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/man-who-brought-swastika-germany-and-how-nazis-stole-it-180962812/ https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29644591

A successful partner of O3 World and co-founder of 1682, Keith shares his humble start; the many challenges the '08 recession brought the company; and how they overcame it. Most importantly, he pinpoints how to understand your company's strong points while building a niche market. Before Keith found business success, acting was his passion. He was cast in a play while attending Loyola University, Maryland, and was swiftly bitten by ‘the bug', resulting in a move to Los Angeles. However, after seven years in showbiz, Keith realized he preferred working behind the scenes. Packing his bags once more, he headed to Philadelphia, whereupon he was hired as a marketing consultant for an online entertainment city guide. His soon-to-be business partners were freelancing at the same company…While their employers weren't keen on working for bigger clients, Keith and Co knew they could do more. Spotting a gap in the market regarding client expansion, he and his partners set up O3 World 15 years ago, and haven't looked back.Being involved in a tech-related industry means having to adapt to a continuously changing environment – a challenge for any tech agency owner. Humbled by his company's tenacity, Keith reflects on how some of the businesses he used to aspire to no longer exist.O3 World's Business Culture and ServicesO3 World currently has in the region of 50 full-time in-house employees, with Keith saying the company's culture and collaborative nature plays a massive role in producing quality work. With innovation at its core, O3 World adapts to new technological changes and career opportunities.Constantly pushes boundaries with regards to new business and opportunities, Keith and his team ensure they're astride their game when providing their range of services, including…• Brand Communications• Identity Development• API Development• Custom Integration• Account Strategy• Digital Content StrategyA go-getting and detail-oriented office culture is important, with Keith saying: “We don't really like working project to project. We want to have more impact and influence on the work that we do…”It's well documented that acquiring new clients tends to be more expensive than retaining existing ones (unless, of course, you've been letting 'scope creep' kill your margins that entire time).Another important consideration is that a mix of long-term or recurring income is critical to bolstering an agency's valuation, and creating a strong foundation for cash-flow long-term. So, how are you going to extend the relationship with a new client once the project is over? Great question! Keith says you should reach out to your current client/s to consult with them on their future needs. With this in mind, O3 World honed an account strategy layer, selling on to clients, which turned out to be a successful venture.Identifying and Overcoming ‘Growing Pains'Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts in life. I can't think of an agency that hasn't encountered challenges. In fact, facing difficulties in your business is normal – the result actually depends on how you handle these issues. In Keith's case, his biggest challenge was going through a recession. He recalls 2008 and 2009 as one of the toughest periods in his career  – when he almost went out of business. Like many business owners at the time, he remembers sitting down with his partners, looking at each other, and having no idea how they were going to make payroll. It's tough enough building a business, but it's obviously more challenging during a global recession. Not only will there be difficulty in finding new investors or clients, but it's also tough risking whatever money you may have in your business.Luckily, while one of Keith's partners was looking into their bank account, an unexpected deposit of $5,000.00 landed. This turned out to be a referral fee they had no idea was coming. According to Keith, it was the “closest we've ever come to being out of business.”When building a business, people usually play to their strengths – whether they're a great writer, a great designer, or a great developer – while finding the right talent they're comfortable working with. And that's just for starters. As Keith puts it: “Most people don't realize that running a business is a lot of the things you don't like doing.”There are lots of operational pieces, the most obvious being finance. Managing finances appropriately – in conjunction with legal documents, and staff benefits – is paramount. Plus, you need to understand the 'scope creep' every agency deals with.Keith adds: “The only way you get better at managing your agency is by getting burned by it a bunch of times.”Another beneficial point; it's worth investing time, energy, and money ensuring the right people are in place for non-billable roles – it's something too many agencies procrastinate on. One of the more imperative moves is hiring a project manager to help you keep track of your business progress.Importance of Managing Cash-flowHaving a successful agency means taking smart risks while managing cash flow. Being critical and objective when working with clients is necessary to fulfill a job successfully. Therefore, try putting realistic budgets on certain projects, while maintaining it in line with a client's usual work process.Additionally, manage your resources appropriately and strategize ahead to have solutions available if/when the project experiences setbacks. Fluctuation in business is normal, but it's best to try avoiding potential layoffs by having enough runway! It's important to hire someone who has a background in finance and operations, so you can properly elaborate on various strategies that will work within your agency.  Again, an agency owners' goal is not solely to make money and pay money; there are a lot of metrics associated with knowing when you should hire people, when you may have to lay off people.Knowing Your Strengths…Being completely honest with yourself when recognizing your strengths or weaknesses it key, says Keith. All too often, businesses avoid being honest with clients as they fear losing business, that's not the case, however. Learn how to communicate and define your remit, as simply saying ‘YES' to everything may result in unrealistic client expectations. Keith wants to dig in on that point specifically, as he's currently going through this with an agency: “I'm on our next call and planning to sit the team down and give them the feedback; ‘You guys are doing an amazing job over here. But, you really shouldn't be doing these other two things, cause I've had to rewrite the copy you wrote and I had to find a designer to fix the designs that you did. But, you're doing really good on this stuff over here. I would still pay you the same amount of money if you didn't do this other stuff'."From an operational perspective, this is not a good look for your brand... You say 'yes', you can do the job and get it done, but you may not have a process for it and, all of a sudden, the scope on that goes out of whack. You may not make a profit on this particular project because it ties up your team, taking their time away from working on other things that actually make more money or gross margin.Understanding The CompetitionFinding the right balance in scoping or scaling your agency can be tedious. Did you know that being open to working with other agencies will help you find that balance?Keith says they partner with many complimentary agencies, so they can work on things they're not as experienced in. He and his team have no problem being brought in to work with different agencies as long as there's a level of respect and a clear understanding of who's doing what developmentally.Remarking on this, Keith says that “It's very, very helpful for them and helpful for us, and vice versa. There's also an aspect of not being greedy. Sometimes we're okay coming in and not having to be the only agency. As long as we're respectful of one another.”He adds, “In general, it's important to be friendly with a lot of agency owners in town and actually outside of town, and be open with one another.”Keith has his own 'leadership philosophy' but admits he's still inexperienced – in life and business. Therefore, meeting with other industry minds inspires him, and – by extension – builds the company's existing skillset and burgeoning ideas.Having spoken to a lot of people from the same field, it's great to cultivate conversations and connections, so you can navigate your niche. Through this, you will be able to further understand your strength and use it to your advantage. As time goes by, your company will evolve as will your competitors. Therefore, it's very important to adapt to new technologies and advances – while still being open to 'the competition.'Decision Making, Plus Executing Strategic ChangesAn agency owner must implement strategic changes or decision making on an ongoing basis. On this point, Keith says:“I don't think there should just be like the end of the year thing that you focus on. It should be ongoing… Everybody should be curious. They should be curious about how they can do things better, things differently, how they could make their clients happier, and how they can make each other happier.”Before you start implementing changes it is important that business or agency owners are mindful with regards to the following... “Everybody should be curious. They should be curious about how they can do things better, how they can do things differently, how they could make their clients happier, and how they can make each other happier.”Before you start implementing changes it is important that business or agency owners are mindful with regards to:Client engagement: communication is key; ask if they're satisfied with the end-product of your collaboration?Revenue: were you able to bring in additional revenue? Funmi Ilori is an educational psychologist and social entrepreneur. She is the founder of iRead Mobile Library Network, the first innovative and fully integrated 'books on wheels' for children in Nigeria, bridging literacy gaps, empowering teachers and enhancing quality education for the African child. She is passionate about education and the environment and she represents this as a green ambassador, teaching children and youths on Sustainable Development Goals and leading countless of youths to 'go green' by empowering them with entrepreneurial skills and practical knowledge of climate change, renewable energy and how they can contribute in saving the planet. She is a 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow and her dream is to build the largest network of libraries for children across Africa. Below is a summary of the Interview Knowledge On Wheels with Funmi Ilori. We had Funmi Ilori on the show to discuss the topic Knowledge on Wheels. Through her passion for children, she shared her experiences and dreams as it concerns children. Speaking about her journey to creating the iRead Mobile Library, she said that the dream had started from a Leadership Training she had attended at her church at the time. Although she didn’t have a passion for reading from the onset, she soon came to imbibe the culture of reading in the course of the training. She also recalled that during the training they had been required to write a big dream that they would not be able to achieve and so started her journey to building the largest library in Africa. Before that time, she had been a teacher for a decade and noticed that in places were children often struggled to read, there was usually a dearth of libraries. Though she had been a brilliant student, she had come to realize that education was more than getting grades but about knowledge and enlightenment. In the course of the training at the Day Star Academy where she wrote down her dream to build the largest library, she also wrote down all the things she would need to set it going. She soon started off, with books and DVDs in a basket she went house to house targeting Adults. Although the adults borrowed the books and DVDs, they didn’t show enthusiasm for reading and she soon realized that adults were not her target audience. She also talked about applying for the UWIN grant and winning with the dream to build the largest library. Although her dream to build a library was new and novel at the time, she also boasted of support from her family. At the inception, she had started with just books and DVDs in a basket this continued for 10 years until she won 10million naira at the UWIN program. Even as she received the money in trenches, she used the first 2 million Naira to get an office space, acquire some members of staff, purchase a vehicle and stock the space with books. She had gotten a truck in which she converted to a library, she said that she had built a cabin over the truck, with shelves, fans, and seats in the cabin. Though people had been skeptical about the mobile library at first after her interview with Central China Tv, CCTV it had since helped to make people more receptive to using the Mobile library. Remarking further, she said that the iRead Mobile library hoped to tackle some of these issues by taking books to people at their doorsteps. According to her, setting up a library just required a beautiful space with aesthetics where people can find fun as they read. She said that reading culture is often non-existent amongst adults because they failed to inculcate it at a young age. She advised youths to start with whatever they have, to also write their dreams as dreams do come true.
