In this episode, America's Sheriff David Clarke discusses topics at the national level primarily concerning the Republican party and the upcoming presidential nominations. He provides critique on some Republicans, especially Nikki Haley whom he perceives to be damaging her political image. Sheriff Clarke foresees Donald Trump potentially securing the nomination for the Republican Party. He also criticizes the Republican Party for internal division and advises against overconfidence. Clarke transitions to discuss an escalating crime wave in Washington D.C. He criticizes the policies making D.C a gun-free zone and argues it leaves law-abiding citizens defenseless against carjacking epidemics. He stands firmly for the rights of citizens to bear arms for self-defense, recommending that personal safety should be primarily an individual's responsibility rather than the government's.Thanks for listening and please don't forget to subscribe and share this with your friends! In December 1943, five courageous war correspondents join a British air raid on Berlin. They are Australians, Alf King from the Sydney Morning Herald and Norm Stockton from the Sydney Sun; Americans, Ed Murrow from CBS and Lowell Bennett from the International News Service; and Norwegian journalist and activist, Nordahl Grieg. Each is assigned to one of the 400 Lancaster bombers that fly into the hazardous skies over Germany on a single night. Of the five, only two return to file their stories. After parachuting out of his doomed aircraft, one reporter is taken prisoner. From there his captors take him on a remarkable tour of bombed-out German cities. In 'Despatch from Berlin, 1943', Anthony Cooper and Thorsten Perl uncover this incredible true story of life on both sides of the war. In this episode Gregory Dobbs chats to Anthony Cooper about the massive operation that was supposed to end the war, the rationale for undertaking one of the most ambitious air raids in history, and the five correspondents who risked their lives to support the war effort.

On today's show we are going back to 1910. These were the origins of the formation of the Federal Reserve during a secretive meeting on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. Leading up to the fateful meetings that took place over nine days, there had been a series of runs on banks and financial panics in 1873, 1884, 1893 and 1907. These banking panics over the preceding decades had caused the outright failure of 1748 banks. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was a direct outcome of this clandestine meeting on Jekyll Island. The Federal Reserve was created to protect the banking system. It is owned by the member banks, not the US government. The Federal Reserve Banks that make up the Fed are not banks either in the traditional sense. I have been thinking, long and hard about whether the Federal Reserve has been mistaken in their interest-rate policy. After all, it is a bold statement for some Podcaster located in Canada to declare in unequivocal terms that the Federal Reserve with its hundreds of PhD‘s is utterly and completely incompetent. All it takes is a few minutes of the most basic Internet research to realize that the banking system in the United States is backed into a corner from which it is virtually impossible to see away out. That is, unless the Federal Reserve makes a choice between raising interest rates to fight inflation or lowering interest rates to save the banking system. I I am completely convinced that this is the choice facing the Federal Reserve. ------------ Host: Victor Menasce email: podcast@victorjm.com

David DePape, the man accused of breaking into US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's home, beating her husband Paul Pelosi, and seeking to kidnap her, told police he planned to target other California and federal politicians. Why has political vitriol and animosity reached such a boiling point in our culture? A simple explanation for our crisis is that Americans are replacing God with politics. The Minute Log, Part 3/3: Suicide Mission. A plan fails, the situation gets out of control and ends in tragedy.
Join us today on our daily podcast as we share a fresh prophetic word from the Lord about the next 4 months. On today's episode we share a vision and its application for us concerning how the enemy is on a suicide mission and what are its implications for the us.
Based on a 1998 Frank Miller comic book which in turn was inspired by the 1962 Rudolph Maté sword and sandals epic THE 300 SPARTANS, 300 (2006) is Zack Snyder's very loose retelling of the events of the Battle of Thermopylae taking place circa 480 BC and I don't really think I can reasonably cram 1 more number into this sentence before it loses any semblance of aardvark. Gerard Butler plays Leonidas, master chocolatier and King of the Spartans, the most feared and formidable of all forces in ancient Greece. Warned by a messenger that the God King Xerxes plans to invade their country and despite most males being raised from a young age to be brutal unthinking warriors obsessed with achieving an honourable death in battle, Leonidas is unable to convince the Spartan political hierarchy of the dangers that the Persians represent and so, leaving Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) in charge to persuade the Spartan Council of the imminent threat, he gathers 300 of his best men armed only with chiselled abs and ferocious amounts of guyliner to fight the invading empire in a suicide mission at The Hot Gates, where the narrow cliffs and raging seas prevent the Greeks from being overwhelmed by the enemies superior numbers. Utterly po-faced and sincere despite the often ridiculous subject matter, the film has a distinct aesthetic brought to the screen straight from the graphic novel itself; colour desaturation, heavy use of CGI backgrounds and Zack Snyder's signature speed-ramping technique all combined to visceral effect in the many scenes of fighting, dismemberment and bloodletting against an ever escalating and inventive adversary. Of course you might think that this is all incredibly silly, boneheaded testosterone-fuelled fantasy nonsense with a cliched script and terrible acting, you might find yourself adverse to the troubling ableist aspects to Miller's narrative or just be plain confused as to how a movie can be both incredibly homoerotic and incredibly homophobic at the same time and I wouldn't particularly argue with you but I got a kick out of this when I saw it at the cinema and probably enjoyed it more when I watched it for this review. A triumph of style over substance then but not an opinion completely shared by all of us.
Chris Cabrera, Spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council and Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, joined the WBAP Morning News. There were border patrol agents at the school in Uvalde. The rebellious “sons of God” in Genesis 6 knew they were committing a terrible sin. Why did they do it? This week, author, researcher, and filmmaker L. A. Every problem you are facing in your life is more amplified in your imagination than it ever will be in real life. The truth is, when you lean in to solve hard problems, you find that no problem is as hard as you thought it might be in your mind. Let's lean in together in this fight to make the world suck a little less. Transcript Below:if you'll indulge me, I'd like to share a brief story from combat that I think you'll find some really powerful principles in and some really practical tips that you can very quickly apply to your life. And this is um, something I'd like to do a little bit more often on the podcast is recording. Won't be particularly long. I'd like to do these shorter clips for you all I know for many of you I am what gets you through your monday morning commute or your monday evening commute, I guess. Uh and I know you didn't get a podcast this week because it was Memorial Day and I've been rightfully disconnecting myself from pretty much everything going on in the world just so I can be emotionally in a good place because this is usually the hardest time of year for me just dealing with all of the loss and the things that I've seen, not, not necessarily in a bad way, I'm totally in a good place. I just, I've learned over the years to take really good care of my emotional self and when I need to detach, I do it. So that's why you really didn't get much out of me this week. In fact, I recorded a podcast that I just was completely unhappy with and I won't publish it because it felt very self indulgent narcissistic, uh, and not very helpful for you all. So, I want to get out of that energy and come to the story I want to tell you all today. We'll take care of some administrative notes. There's something really powerful I want to share with you at the end of today's story that I'm only going to be sharing with the people on the podcast. I have not made this public. The podcast is a more intimate audience. It's certainly not the millions and millions of people that watch me every week, like on Tiktok, but I will be sharing that with you here. Please keep it private and don't share it with a lot of people because it is only for a select few warriors and it is definitely invite only. But I feel like the people who are listening here are certainly the right people for that. Anyway, let's get into the story so I can get you on with your day. So this is before we actually go to combat. This is days before we're actually wheels up and cleared high. And I had just been briefed on and many of you have probably heard this story before, but I'm gonna tell it from a slightly different perspective. I was given what seemed like a suicide mission basically the way it was broken down to me, we were going to be pushing through a piece of enemy held territory where we were going to be completely at a tactical disadvantage because the enemy had the high ground, they were entrenched. Um, and we were gonna be fighting our way basically uphill through a valley where we were going to be getting shot down at the way our patrols are distributed across terrain, there was a good chance that in this mission of all the people that should and could have been killed me. That was definitely one of them. The way things are set up and I was okay with that. That's not the point of the story. The point of the story was I had to go brief Basically a group of 50 to 100 men, depending on how you look at the way our unit was structured on the suicide mission that we're about to go on uh and get buy in from all these people that hey, this stupid thing we're getting ready to go do is probably gonna get a bunch of us killed, myself included...Application integrationSupport the show (https://patreon.com/bryantchambers)

Building a petrochemical facility reliant on the fossil fuel - gas - is one of the top-listed projects put forward by the Australian government aimed at stimulating the economy post COVID-19. The $1.9bn fertiliser facility pegged for Narrabri in New South Wales is not a new idea, and it can't get planning approval until gas company Santos' long standing fracking proposal also for Narrabri is approved. But there must be hope for a go-ahead, with Santos and the fertiliser proprietor Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers already signing a partnership agreement - back in 2019. This facility is one of two new petrochemical plants the Perdaman proprietor is seeking approval for – the second is a $4.5 billion dollar mega-project at the Burrup peninsula in Western Australia, known as Project Destiny, and again, the deals have already been done, this time with gas giant Woodside. But first – an explainer – what is a petrochemical plant? and thanks to Dr Peter Rimmer from the Australian National University for his early examination of this industry. The production of petrochemicals uses hydrocarbons that would otherwise have been burnt or wasted in the refining process. The hydrogen element is the starting point for ammonia and nitrogenous derivatives used in the manufacture of fertilisers. Rimmer continues: The petrochemical industry is characterised by high expenditure on plant and equipment, and needs a huge amount of gas, crude oil, and its derivatives. Large scale and continuous operation of plant functioning under stable conditions with assured markets is essential. Thanks Doc. So, the petrochemical industry needs fossil fuels to exist, and because it is downstream, the industry is a profit booster to the gas industry. Or it was… The crash in the oil price, and the global impact of COVID 19 has seen oil and gas exploration and production, refining, and the downstream petrochemical industry, all showing signs of severe stress. The question we're asking on Gas Chat today is, does the world post COVID-19 need more petrochemical facilities? Today we're talking with IEEFA's US director of finance, Tom Sanzillo, who, with 30 years of experience in public and private finance, including as a first deputy comptroller of New York State, has some history in exploring the oil and gas industry. We're also joined by Bruce Robertson, IEEFA's LNG/gas analyst based in Australia. ___ For more in-depth analyses, please visit our website at www.ieefa.org The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis is a public interest think tank. This week we're taking a break from dealing with the Normandy crew's personal problems to deal with issues that are affecting the galaxy at large as we speak. Which basically means we've got some critical plot missions to clean up before the Suicide Mission. This week we're headed to two unsettling destinations: an abandoned(?) Collector's ship and a derelict Reaper. Nothing bad ever happens from sneaking into an enemy vessel, right? Enjoy the show! It's the run up to Suicide Squad as the guys give their final thoughts before the premiere. Will this mission be a success or is the film dead on arrival? The Killing Joke arrives this week but will the joke ultimately be played on the fans? Also, leaked Thor footage has the guys anticipating a Marvel film of a different flavor, Spidey goes back to his roots in Homecoming, Willem Dafoe makes another appearance in Casting Corner, and big changes hit Marvel Publishing. Let's do this!
Steve Hales: Slime, Dimension X, Fort Apocalypse Steve Hales published several games with Synapse Software: Slime, Dimension X, Fort Apocalypse, and Mindwheel. His first job was reverse engineering the Atari 2600 to create the Starpath Supercharger. His game for that platform was Suicide Mission, an Asteroids clone. This interview took place on October 21, 2015. In it we discuss Ihor Wolosenko and Cathryn Mataga, whom I previously interviewed; and Mike Potter and Bob Polin, whose interviews are forthcoming. Steve has released the source code for Fort Apocalypse. He and I talked about the possibility of also releasing the code for his other games. In March 2016 he emailed me, "I did a deep look into my archives, and didn’t find anything useful. I have one more place to look, but its not near me at all, so it will take a few months to look." However, he does have Mindwheel running on a web site at http://mindwheelgame.com and his more modern game, Squirrel Warz for iOS, is available at http://www.squirrelwarz.com. Check the show notes for those links as well as links to Steve's other projects. Our interview starts with us talking about the recovery and scanning of the Star Raiders source code. Although he didn't create Star Raiders, Steve is the person who found the source code printout for Star Raiders in his files, and lent it to me to scan. Teaser quote: "[Dimension X] didn't really come out that well. It was actually my first lesson in a failure of something that was fun." "Solo developers of the time, their games were sometimes pretty great but sometimes mostly not. Electronic Arts brought, because of what Trip Hawkins learned, he brought the Hollywood studio system to the games industry." Chewie, they're home. After a lengthy of hiatus and finally deciding to get back up off our asses, the Reelgood Podcast is back in action. Long overdue abuse, witty conversation and geek-level film analysis is back in full effect. As Mr. Segal rightly says it's just like riding a bike and it's tearing through the likes of Star Wars, Suicide Squad and this years Oscar hoo-haa that has split us down the middle. Listen to our verdicts on all of the above now.
In the message "Suicide Mission: A Call To Die To Self", Pastor Jerry looks at Matthew 16:24-25. In this passage of scripture Jesus is telling His disciples that in order to follow Him we must deny our self, take up our cross and follow Him. Denying ourselves goes against our most basic human nature. But we have been given a new nature, the nature of Jesus Christ. His nature is to sacrifice, to give, to humble Himself. We need to go ALL IN when following Him! When we put this into action, then God can move greatly through us. Lets give all of ourselves to Him and win this world for Jesus!
Back to the wonderful Supercharger for two more of its games, Suicide Mission and Killer Satellites. I forgot to mention in the show that the Prototype version of Suicide Mission, Meteoroids, has a similar descending note scale like the arcade version of Asteroids. You can hear that in the sound clip I played in that section (it speeds up as there are fewer meteoroids onscreen). The released version only has 2 of these notes, and it sounds really weird. This week's episode is a little dry, it features the Atari games Surround and Hunt 'n' Score (aka A Game Of Concentration). What this episode lacks in gameplay makes up in audio submissions! I wasn't expecting much feedback this week, but I did get some, which included audio from Shinto and Rob O'Hara. I really appreciate everyone that sends feedback, especially those who take the time to actually record it. I am trying to do that more myself for other podcasts, even though I think my voice sounds worse on other podcasts than it does on mine. Anyway, next week I'll be looking at the Starpath games ("tapes" would be an acceptable term for these, and only these) Suicide Mission and Killer Satellites. Upcoming games include James Bond 007 and Gyruss by Parker Brothers; Codebreaker, Flag Capture & Video Chess by Atari; Title Match Pro Wrestling and Skateboardin' by Absolute, Pac-Man by Atari, and Magicard and Video Life by CommaVid. You can send your feedback for these games or any game I've already covered to me at 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Than you for listening everyone! This week I look at Fast Eddie and Deadly Duck by 20th Century Fox, makers of fine films and video games. Next week it's back to the early days of Atari with Surround and Hunt 'n' Score, aka A Game of Concentration. Upcoming games include Suicide Mission and Killer Satellites by Starpath; James Bond 007 and Gyruss by Parker Brothers; Codebreaker, Flag Capture & Video Chess by Atari; Title Match Pro Wrestling and Skateboardin' by Absolute, and a big one, Pac-Man by Atari. That one should generate some discussion. Send me feedback, including your memories and opinions of these games and any of the games I've covered so far to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Thanks everyone!
This week I talk about Othello and RealSports Baseball, the latter being the first silver label game that I'm discussing! Rick from the Intellivisionaries Podcast and I pitted our respective consoles against each other in Reversi/Othello, which you can watch on Youtube via the link below. Special thanks to Rick for suggesting this, and also for recording it and hosting it on the Intellivisionaries Youtube page! Next week I'll be talking about Fast Eddie and Deadly Duck by Sirius/20th Century Fox. Upcoming games include Surround and A Game of Concentration (AKA Hunt 'n' Score) by Atari; Suicide Mission and Killer Satellites by Starpath; James Bond 007 and Gyruss by Parker Brothers; Codebreaker, Flag Capture & Video Chess by Atari; and Title Match Pro Wrestling and Skateboardin' by Absolute. You can send your thoughts and memories of these games or any games I've already covered to 2600gamebygame@comcast.net. Your submissions are what make this show fun! Thank you everyone!

This week's episode is about two more Activision games, Stampede and Ice Hockey. These games are so simple that I think I spent much more time on the packaging then on the actual gameplay! Next week is two more Atari games, Othello and RealSports Baseball (I think it's the first Atari silver label cart in the podcast that wasn't a reissue). Coming up isFast Eddie and Deadly Duck by Sirius/20th Century Fox; Surround and A Game of Concentration (AKA Hunt 'n' Score) by Atari; Suicide Mission and Killer Satellites by Starpath; James Bond 007 and Gyruss by Parker Brothers; and Codebreaker, Flag Capture & Video Chess by Atari. Voyager Season 7 Favourites. It’s time to wrap up our look at Voyager as Colin is joined once again by Charlynn Schmiedt and Lorrie Sears of To The Journey to discuss their favourite episodes—this time from the final season. We also take a look back at the series as a whole, how Harry finally made Captain (sort of), delve into other characters, and examine how the show wrapped up with “Endgame” and why, though it differs from other Star Trek series, Voyager will always have its own special place in our hearts.
We have a full lineup this week as Lisa joins the gang to talk about Zookeeper. Joel plays with Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble. (no, really.) Dave complains a bit more about AC3, Vick dabbles in some kinect-icking, and Eric beats Karateka. Because it's a short game. Also our first top ten list: Top 10 most unlikely Karateka sequels which will probably never be made! (Some familiarity with the Hokkien dialect recommended.) After the break, our first video game music special! Guess who likes what, and listen to the full songs below. Also, Joel urges you to check out this link for a good read and more information. The rest of us concur! Mass Effect 2 - Suicide Mission. Composed by Jack Wall.
