Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Jumat, 29 November 2024 Bacaan: Lalu raja bertanya-tanya, dan perempuan itu menceritakan semuanya kepadanya. Kemudian raja menugaskan seorang pegawai istana menyertai perempuan itu dengan pesan: "Pulangkanlah segala miliknya dan segala hasil ladang itu sejak ia meninggalkan negeri ini sampai sekarang." (2 Raja-raja 8:6) Renungan: Nabi Elisa memerintahkan perempuan Sunem agar berkemas meninggalkan tanah Israel karena Tuhan akan mendatangkan bahaya kelaparan selama tujuh tahun. Lalu pergilah perempuan Sunem ini dan tinggal selama 7 tahun sebagai pendatang di negeri orang Filistin. Dan setelah berakhir masa 7 tahun, kembalilah ia dan keluarganya, dan menghadap raja perihal rumah dan ladang yang telah ditinggalkannya selama 7 tahun. Maka, bertitahlah sang raja, "Pulangkanlah segala miliknya dan segala hasil ladang itu sejak ia meninggalkan negeri ini sampai sekarang." Demikianlah kita melihat bahwa Tuhan memelihara perempuan Sunem ini selama bahaya kelaparan dengan membawanya tinggal sebagai pendatang di negeri Filistin, dan kemudian membawanya kembali setelah semuanya berlalu. Lalu menetaplah ia di tanah Israel dengan menikmati berkat tujuh kali lipat yang ditambahkan Tuhan selama masa perantauannya. Ia berhasil menjadikan masa pengungsian ini menjadi masa penantian akan rencana Tuhan yang terbaik dalam kehidupannya. la mengerti bahwa Filistin hanyalah "tempat peralihan" dalam kehidupannya sehingga ia menanti dengan sabar sampai berakhirnya masa 7 tahun dan ia kembali ke Israel dan menikmati keindahan rencana Tuhan yang terindah dalam kehidupannya. Penjara merupakan "tempat peralihan" dalam kehidupan Yusuf yang menghantarnya menjadi penguasa Mesir. Kehilangan harta benda dan kematian anak-anaknya merupakan "tempat peralihan" bagi kehidupan Ayub, namun di akhir kisahnya, Tuhan mengembalikannya dua kali lipat. Padang gurun menjadi "tempat peralihan" bagi bangsa Israel, sebelum Tuhan membawa mereka memasuki Tanah Perjanjian, namun mereka gagal. Mereka semua binasa di padang gurun, dan hanya anak-anak mereka yang Tuhan izinkan memasuki Tanah Perjanjian. Dengan demikian masa keberadaan kita di "tempat peralihan" merupakan masa ujian iman yang cukup rawan. Pilihan ada di tangan kita apakah kita akan keluar sebagai "penguasa Yusuf", atau "bilioner Ayub", atau sebaliknya sebuah batu nisan kematian rohani kita. Mari kita mengambil sikap hati yang benar untuk tetap bertahan, dan tinggal tenang di dalam memercayai Tuhan melewati setiap "tempat peralihan" kehidupan kita sampai Tuhan membawa kita kepada kesempurnaan rencana-Nya yang indah. Teladani sikap hati dan penyerahan Yesus ketika la berada di "tempat peralihan Getsemani", yang akhirnya membawa kesempurnaan rencana Tuhan dalam kehidupan-Nya sebagai penghapus dosa. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa: Tuhan Yesus, hanya dengan kekuatan-Mu aku bisa melewati masa-masa sulit dalam hidupku sampai aku mencapai kemenangan yang Kau izinkan terjadi dalam hidupku. Amin. (Dod).

I've watched women turn from shy caterpillars into beautiful butterflies through the Courage Driven Latina program. That definitely describes this week's guest, who went from being a “total money nerd” to a money coach with her own business, podcast, and a feature in Entrepreneur magazine.  Sunem Tovar, a Latina Money Coach, is passionate about empowering women of color and people of color to get their money right. Being the only Latina in her Master in Finance program led Sunem to become increasingly frustrated with how inaccessible wealth building is for communities of color, especially for women and femmes of color. Sunem has been able to channel this frustration by building wealth herself as a woman of color and by also educating her family on how to build wealth. This week on the Journey to Launch Podcast we're featuring Israel and Sunem Tovar, two first-gen Latine siblings who empower people to use money to live their lives on their own terms. They discuss their financial journeys & achievements by sharing how Israel built a six-figure net worth by the age of 26 on a teacher salary and as a first-gen, openly gay latino, and how Sunem built a $250,000 investment portfolio and holds a Master's in finance.  Despite attending prestigious institutions, Israel still felt that he initially lacked financial literacy. Apakah yang dapat kuperbuat bagimu? Adakah yang dapat kubicarakan tentang engkau kepada raja atau kepala tentara?" Jawab perempuan itu: "Aku ini tinggal di tengah-tengah kaumku!" Renungan: Ada sepasang suami istri yang bercerita bahwa sebelum mereka menikah, orang-orang sering bertanya kapan kalian menikah? Setelah menikah, orang-orang bertanya apakah istrimu sudah hamil? Isterinya merasa gelisah dan tertekan setiap kali ditanya hal itu. Apalagi beberapa saudari dan kawannya yang menikah belakangan sudah hamil. Beruntung pembimbing rohani mereka menguatkan dan memberi semangat kepada isterinya untuk tetap sukacita sebagai pengantin baru. Sebagai orang yang sudah menikah dan belum mempunyai anak, apakah pernikahan itu menjadi tidak bahagia? Tidak, pernikahan itu tetap membahagiakan saat kita melihat segala sesuatu dengan cara pandang positif dan benar. Di Sunem, ada seorang perempuan kaya yang tahu bahwa Elisa adalah abdi Allah yang kudus. Karena itulah, perempuan itu melayani Elisa dengan mengundangnya makan dan menyediakan ruangan untuk Elisa tidur. Perempuan ini belum dikaruniai anak, padahal suaminya sudah tua. Namun, hal ini tidak menghalanginya untuk bahagia. Saat Elisa bertanya hal apa yang bisa ia lakukan untuknya, perempuan Sunem menjawab bahwa dirinya tinggal di tengah-tengah kaumnya. la merasa puas dengan hidupnya. Oleh anugerah Tuhan, akhirnya ia dikaruniai anak. Oleh anugerah Tuhan juga anaknya yang semula mati akhirnya hidup lagi. Kita tidak akan pernah merasa kekurangan berkat atau iri hati melihat orang lain bisa menikmati dan memiliki sesuatu yang saat ini belum kita nikmati, saat diri sendiri merasa puas dan cukup dengan segala sesuatu yang sudah Tuhan berikan dalam kehidupan kita. Belajar dari kehidupan perempuan Sunem tersebut, kebahagiaan yang sejati ditentukan oleh sikap hati kita sendiri dalam merespon segala sesuatu, bukan dari hal-hal yang sudah kita miliki. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa: Tuhan Yesus, terima kasih untuk setiap berkat yang telah Kau berikan padaku. Aku juga bersyukur untuk setiap permohonanku yang belum Kau kabulkan. Kön 4,17-19).

"Und er sprach: Was ist denn für sie zu tun? Und Gehasi sprach: Doch! Sie hat keinen Sohn, und ihr Mann ist alt. Und er sprach: Rufe sie! Und er rief sie, und sie trat in die Tür. Und er sprach: Zu dieser bestimmten Zeit übers Jahr wirst du einen Sohn umarmen. Und sie sprach: Nicht doch, mein Herr, du Mann Gottes, belüge deine Magd nicht!" (2. Kön 4,14-16).

"Und er sprach zu ihm: Sprich doch zu ihr: Siehe, du hast dir unsertwegen all diese Sorge gemacht; was ist für dich zu tun? Ist für dich mit dem König zu reden oder mit dem Heerobersten? Und sie sprach: Ich wohne inmitten meines Volkes" (2. Kön 4,13)

"Lass uns doch ein kleines gemauertes Obergemach machen und ihm Bett und Tisch und Stuhl und Leuchter hineinstellen; und es geschehe, wenn er zu uns kommt, kann er dort einkehren" (2. Kön 4,10).

"Und sie sprach zu ihrem Mann: Sieh doch, ich merke, dass dieser ein heiliger Mann Gottes ist, der ständig bei uns durchzieht. Lass uns doch ein kleines gemauertes Obergemach machen und ihm Bett und Tisch und Stuhl und Leuchter hineinstellen; und es geschehe, wenn er zu uns kommt, kann er dort einkehren" (2. Kön 4,9.10).

"Und es geschah eines Tages, da ging Elisa nach Sunem hinüber; und dort war eine wohlhabende Frau, und sie nötigte ihn, bei ihr zu essen. Und es geschah, sooft er durchzog, kehrte er dort ein, um zu essen. Und sie sprach zu ihrem Mann: Sieh doch, ich merke, dass dieser ein heiliger Mann Gottes ist, der ständig bei uns durchzieht" (2. Kön 4,8.9).

In einer Kernzeit der deutschen Schul-Sommerferien beschäftigen wir uns in den drei nächsten Wochen im Wesentlichen mit einer äußerst interessanten und lehrreichen Begebenheit in 2. Könige 4. Die Erzählung über die wohlhabende Frau in Sunem ist zu Herzen gehend. Sie ist äußerst lehrreich für unser persönliches Glaubensleben, aber auch für uns als Eheleute und Familie. Sie spricht direkt in unser Leben hinein.

Si Eliseo at ang Sunamita 8 Minsan, si Eliseo'y pumunta sa Sunem. May isang mayamang babae roon at siya'y inanyayahang kumain sa kanila. Mula noon, doon siya kumakain tuwing pupunta sa lugar na iyon. 9 Sinabi ng babae sa kanyang asawa, “Natitiyak kong isang banal na lingkod ng Diyos ang taong ito. 10 Bakit di natin siya ipagpagawa ng isang silid para matuluyan niya tuwing pupunta rito? Bigyan natin siya ng higaan, mesa, upuan at ilawan.” 11 Isang araw, bumalik nga roon si Eliseo at doon siya nagpahinga sa silid na inihanda para sa kanya. 12 Tinawag niya ang katulong niyang si Gehazi at sinabi, “Tawagin mo ang babaing Sunamita.” Tinawag nga nito ang babae at di nagtagal ay dumating ang babae. 13 Sinabi niya sa kanyang katulong, “Sabihin mong pinasasalamatan natin ang pagpapagawa niya ng tuluyan nating ito. Itanong mo kung ano ang maitutulong natin sa kanya bilang ganti sa kaabalahan niya sa atin. Baka may gusto siyang ipasabi sa hari o sa pinuno ng hukbo.” “Wala kayong dapat alalahanin. Nasisiyahan na po kami sa pamumuhay rito sa piling ng aming mga kababayan,” sagot ng babae. 14 Pagkaalis ng babae, tinanong ni Eliseo si Gehazi, “Ano kaya ang maitutulong natin sa kanya?” Sumagot si Gehazi, “Wala po siyang anak at matanda na ang kanyang asawa.” 15 “Tawagin mo siyang muli,” utos ni Eliseo. Kaya't bumalik ang babae at tumayo sa may pintuan. 16 Sinabi sa kanya ni Eliseo, “Isang taon mula ngayon ay mayroon ka nang anak na lalaking kakalungin.” Sinabi ng babae, “Mahal na lingkod ng Diyos, huwag na po ninyo akong paasahin.” 17 Ngunit dumating ang araw at naglihi ang Sunamita. Ngunit nang magtatanghaling-tapat, namatay ang bata. 21 Ang bangkay ay ipinasok ng ina sa silid ni Eliseo. Inilagay niya ito sa higaan, isinara ang pinto at dali-daling lumabas. 22 Tinawag niya ang kanyang asawa at sinabi, “Madali ka! Pagayakin mo ang isang utusan at ipahanda ang isang asnong masasakyan ko. Pupunta ako sa lingkod ng Diyos.” 23 “Anong gagawin mo roon?” tanong ng asawa. “Hindi ngayon Araw ng Pamamahinga at hindi rin Kapistahan ng Bagong Buwan.” “Kahit na. Kailangan ko siyang makausap,” sagot ng babae. 24 Nang maihanda na ang asno, dali-dali siyang sumakay at sinabi sa kanyang katulong, “Sige, pabilisin mo ang asno at huwag mong pababagalin hanggang hindi ko sinasabi sa iyo.” 25 At naglakbay sila, papunta sa Bundok ng Carmel sa kinaroroonan ni Eliseo. Nasa daan pa lamang, natanaw na sila ni Eliseo. Sinabi nito kay Gehazi, “Dumarating ang Sunamita. 26 Salubungin mo. Kumustahin mo siya, ang kanyang asawa at ang kanyang anak.” Nang kumustahin ni Gehazi, sumagot ang babae, “Mabuti po.” 27 Paglapit niya kay Eliseo, nagpatirapa ang babae at hinawakan ang mga paa ni Eliseo. Itutulak sanang palayo ni Gehazi ang babae ngunit sinabi ni Eliseo, “Pabayaan mo siya. Tiyak na may malaki siyang problema. Hindi pa lang ipinapaalam sa akin ni Yahweh.” 28 Sinabi ng babae, “Humingi ba ako sa inyo ng anak? Hindi ba't sinabi kong huwag na ninyo akong paasahin?” 29 Nilingon ni Eliseo si Gehazi at sinabi, “Magbalabal ka. Dalhin mo ang aking tungkod at tumakbo ka. Kapag may nakasalubong ka sa daan, huwag mong babatiin. Kapag may bumati sa iyo, huwag mong papansinin. Tumuloy ka sa bahay nila at ipatong mo ang tungkod sa mukha ng bata.” 30 Sinabi ng Sunamita, “Saksi si Yahweh, ang Diyos na buháy,[a] at hangga't buháy ka, hindi ako aalis nang hindi ka kasama.” Pagkasabi nito'y lumakad siyang papalabas ng bahay. Il popolo di un capo che verrà distruggerà la città e il santuario; la sua fine verrà come un'inondazione, ed è decretato che vi saranno devastazioni sino alla fine della guerra.27 Egli stabilirà un patto con molti per una settimana; in mezzo alla settimana farà cessare sacrificio e offerta. Perempuan itu telah mendapatkan seorang anak, tetapi kemudian anak itu sakit dan akhirnya mati. Perempuan itu tidak memberitahukan siapa pun tentang kematian anaknya ini.Dia hanya mau mencurahkan segala hal dalam hatinya kepada Elisa. Dia sujud, memegang kaki Elisa, dan menangis di situ. Ayat 28 menyatakan betapa pedih sakit hati yang diderita perempuan ini.

Meditación Yo habito en medio de mi pueblo." (2Reyes 4:13) Una prominente mujer de Sunem brindaba hospitalidad a Eliseo cada vez que pasaba por allí. Cierto día sugirió a su marido que construyeran una habitación adicional para que el profeta pudiera tener un aposento propio. Deseando recompensar su bondadosa hospitalidad, Eliseo le preguntó qué podía hace por ella, quizás presentarla al rey o al comandante del ejército. Su respuesta sencilla fue: “Yo habito en medio de mi pueblo”. En otras palabras: “soy feliz con lo que tengo en la vida. Amo a la gente común entre la que vivo. No deseo moverme entre los personajes encumbrados de la sociedad, ni me atrae codearme con gente famosa”. ¡No cabe duda que era una mujer sabia! Aquellos que nunca están contentos si no se rozan socialmente con los famosos, los acaudalados y los aristócratas a menudo tienen que aprender que la mayoría de la gente más escogida de la tierra nunca aparece en primera plana, o en este caso, en la sección social del periódico. Un hermano dijo “He tenido roce con los de renombre en el mundo evangélico, pero debo confesar que, en su mayor parte, la experiencia ha sido desengañadora. Cuanto más veo lo que es el bombo publicitario en la prensa evangélica, más decepcionado me siento. Si tengo que elegir, dénme a aquellos ciudadanos humildes, honestos y sólidos a quienes este mundo no conoce pero que son bien conocidos en el cielo.” A. W. Tozer describe bien estos sentimientos cuando escribe: “Creo en los santos. Conozco a los comediantes, a los promotores, a los fundadores de diversos movimientos religiosos que ponen su nombre al frente de los edificios para que la gente sepa que ellos los erigieron; conozco a estrellas del deporte que se dicen convertidos. Conozco a toda clase de cristianos raros por todos los Estados Unidos y Canadá, pero mi corazón busca a los santos. Quiero conocer a los que son como el Señor Jesucristo... En realidad, lo que debemos desear y tener es la belleza del Señor nuestro Dios resplandeciendo en corazones humanos. Un santo verdadero es una persona magnética y atractiva que vale más que quinientos promotores e ingenieros religiosos”. Charles Simeon se hace eco de sentimientos semejantes: “Desde el primer día hasta la hora presente he puesto de manifiesto... que mi trato social ha sido con lo excelente de la tierra y que cada uno de ellos, a causa del Señor, se esfuerza hasta el límite de su fuerza para mostrarme su bondad”. Así que, ¡flores para la mujer de Sunem! por la percepción espiritual de sus palabras: “Yo habito en medio de mi pueblo”.

Meditación ”...una muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel." (2 Reyes 5:4) Una persona no tiene que ser conocida por su nombre para que realice grandes hazañas para Dios. De hecho, la Biblia nos habla de algunos hombres y mujeres que han ganado fama inmortal, de cuyos nombres no sabemos nada. Había tres hombres que arriesgaron sus vidas tomando agua del pozo de Belén parada de beber a David (2 S. 23:13-17). David consideró esto como un acto de devoción tan notable que no bebió el agua sino que la derramó como una ofrenda sagrada. Pero no se dan a conocer sus nombres.No sabemos cómo se llamaba aquella gran mujer de Sunem (2 R. 4:8-17), pero siempre será recordada por el aposento que construyó para el profeta Eliseo.Había una muchacha judía desconocida, por cuyo consejo Naamán fue al profetaEliseo para ser sanado de la lepra (2 R. 5:3-14). Dios conoce su nombre, y eso es todo lo que importa. ¿Quién fue la mujer que ungió la cabeza de Jesús? (Mt. 26:6-13). Mateo no revela su nombre, pero su fama se anuncia desde entonces en las palabras de nuestro Señor: “De cierto os digo que dondequiera que se predique este evangelio, en todo el mundo, también se contará lo que ésta ha hecho, para memoria de ella” (v. 13). La pobre viuda que echó sus últimas dos monedas en el arca del tesoro es otra de las “desconocidas deDios” (Lc. 21:2). Esta mujer ilustra espléndidamente la verdad de lo maravilloso que es cuánto puedes llegar a hacer por Dios si no te importa quién se lleve el honor. Seguidamente, está el muchacho que dio sus cinco panes y dos peces al Señor y los vio multiplicarse hasta que saciaron a cinco mil hombres más mujeres y niños (Jn. 6:9). Gray, al contemplar las lápidas de personas desconocidas en un cementerio rural, escribió: Muchas flores nacen que sin ser vistas se ruborizan, Y en el aire del desierto su dulzura desperdician. Con Dios, sin embargo, nada se desperdicia. Conoce bien los nombres de aquellos que le sirven en el anonimato, y les recompensará como sólo Él sabe hacerlo.

En este podcast hablaremos cómo es que Eliseo ayudó a dos mujeres: una viuda pobre (2 Re. 4, 1-4) y una mujer rica (2 Re. 4, 8 - 15). Me sorprende mucho la segunda historia. Esta mujer rica simplemente se portó como buena persona con Eliseo y su ayudante, los hospedaba y les daba de comer cada que pasan por Sunem, su pueblo. Eliseo quiso recompensarla, y sin que ella se lo pidiera, le anunció que ella y su esposo iban a tener un bebecito. La mujer no se lo creía, pero el milagro pasó. El gran problema vino después, cuando el niño enfermó y murió. Eso ya no lo contamos en este podcast, la mujer le reclamó a Eliseo, le dijo algo más o menos así "yo no te pedí un niño, porque justo no quería sufrir, y ahora que tú me lo diste sin yo pedírtelo, me lo has quitado". ¡Qué fuerte! ¿No? Muchas veces preferimos no sufrir y cerramos nuestro corazón, pero ¿qué creen? Cuando cerramos nuestro corazón al sufrimiento, a fuerza lo cerramos también al amor. El poeta inglés Alfred Tennyson dijo "mejor haber amado y perdido, que jamás haber amado". Los planes de Dios para nuestra vida son PER-FEC-TOS, así es que no dudemos en siempre decir que sí al amor de Dios y sus bendiciones. ¿Quieren saber qué pasó con el niño de la sunamita? Eliseo le pidió al Señor el milagro de que el niño reviviera. Y así pasó. ¡Dios es bueno!

LIBRO PRIMERA DE SAMUEL BIBLIA ZOÉ CAPÍTULO 28 AQUÍS REY DE LOS FILISTEOS,  PONE POR GUARDA DE SU VIDA A DAVID 1 Aconteció en aquellos días, que los filisteos reunieron sus fuerzas para pelear contra Israel. Y dijo Aquis a David: Ten entendido que has de salir conmigo a campaña, tú y tus hombres. 2 Y David respondió a Aquis: Muy bien, tú sabrás lo que hará tu siervo. Y Aquis dijo a David: Por tanto, yo te constituiré guarda de mi persona durante toda mi vida. ISRAEL SIGUE LAMENTANDO LA MUERTE DE SAMUEL 3 Ya Samuel había muerto, y todo Israel lo había lamentado, y le habían sepultado en Ramá, su ciudad. Y Saúl había arrojado de la tierra a los encantadores y adivinos. 4 Se juntaron, pues, los filisteos, y vinieron y acamparon en Sunem; y Saúl juntó a todo Israel, y acamparon en Gilboa. SAÚL SE TURBA AL VER A LOS FILISTEOS 5 Y cuando vio Saúl el campamento de los filisteos, tuvo miedo, y se turbó su corazón en gran manera. JEHOVÁ NO RESPONDE A SAÚL 6 Y consultó Saúl a Jehová; pero Jehová no le respondió ni por sueños, ni por Urim, ni por profetas. SAÚL ORDENA A BUSCAR UNA MUJER, CON ESPÍRITU DE ADIVINACIÓN, EN  ENDOR 7 Entonces Saúl dijo a sus criados: Buscadme una mujer que tenga espíritu de adivinación, para que yo vaya a ella y por medio de ella pregunte. Y sus criados le respondieron: He aquí hay una mujer en Endór que tiene espíritu de adivinación. SAÚL SE ESCONDE DE SI MISMO, Y VA A ENDOR EN LA NOCHE  8 Y se disfrazó Saúl, y se puso otros vestidos, y se fue con dos hombres, y vinieron a aquella mujer de noche; y él dijo: Yo te ruego que me adivines por el espíritu de adivinación, y me hagas subir a quien yo te dijere. LA MUJER DE ENDOR RESPONDE A SAÚL 9 Y la mujer le dijo: He aquí tú sabes lo que Saúl ha hecho, cómo ha cortado de la tierra a los evocadores y a los adivinos. ¿Por qué, pues, pones tropiezo a mi vida, para hacerme morir? SAÚL ERRA AL JURAR POR JEHOVÁ 10 Entonces Saúl le juró por Jehová, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ningún mal te vendrá por esto. 11 La mujer entonces dijo: ¿A quién te haré venir? Y él respondió: Hazme venir a Samuel. 12 Y viendo la mujer a Samuel, clamó en alta voz, y habló aquella mujer a Saúl, diciendo: 13 ¿Por qué me has engañado? pues tú eres Saúl. Y el rey le dijo: No temas. ¿Qué has visto? Y la mujer respondió a Saúl: He visto dioses que suben de la tierra. 14 Él le dijo: ¿Cuál es su forma? Y ella respondió: Un hombre anciano viene, cubierto de un manto. Saúl entonces entendió que era Samuel, y humillando el rostro a tierra, hizo gran reverencia. SAMUEL HABLA A SAÚL 15 Y Samuel dijo a Saúl: ¿Por qué me has inquietado haciéndome venir? Y Saúl respondió: Estoy muy angustiado, pues los filisteos pelean contra mí, Y Dios se ha apartado de mí, y no me responde más, ni por medio de profetas ni por sueños; por esto te he llamado, para que me declares lo que tengo que hacer. SAMUEL DECLARA : LA RELACIÓN DE JEHOVÁ CON SAÚL 16 Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Y para qué me preguntas a mí, si Jehová se ha apartado de ti y es tu enemigo? 17 Jehová te ha hecho como dijo por medio de mí; pues Jehová ha quitado el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado a tu compañero, David. LA CAUSA DE QUE JEHOVÁ NO ESTÁ CON SAÚL, ES  SU DESOBEDIENCIA 18 Como tú no obedeciste a la voz de Jehová, ni cumpliste el ardor de su ira contra Amalec, por eso Jehová te ha hecho esto hoy. SAMUEL PREDICE LA MUERTE DE SAÚL Y SUS HIJOS 19 Y Jehová entregará a Israel también contigo en manos de los filisteos; y mañana estaréis conmigo, tú y tus hijos; y Jehová entregará también al ejército de Israel en mano de los filisteos. Deze week leest Wieteke 2 Koningen 4:8-37 Op zekere dag kwam Elisa door Sunem. Daar woonde een voorname vrouw die hem dringend uitnodigde om te komen eten. Van toen af aan ging hij elke keer als hij langs Sunem kwam bij haar eten. De vrouw zei tegen haar man: ‘Die godsman die telkens bij ons op bezoek komt, is beslist heilig. Laten we op het dak van ons huis een kamer voor hem maken en daar een bed, een tafel, een stoel en een lamp neerzetten, dan kan hij zich daar terugtrekken als hij bij ons komt.' Toen Elisa op een dag weer door Sunem kwam, onderbrak hij zijn reis en ging rusten in het voor hem ingerichte vertrek. Hij vroeg zijn knecht Gechazi de gastvrouw te roepen. Toen de vrouw op Gechazi's verzoek naar boven was gekomen zei Elisa tegen Gechazi: ‘Vraag haar wat we voor haar kunnen doen in ruil voor alle moeite die zij zich voor ons getroost heeft. Kunnen we voor haar bij de koning pleiten, of bij de bevelhebber van het leger?' Maar de vrouw antwoordde: ‘Ik leef te midden van mijn eigen volk.' Weer vroeg Elisa: ‘Kan ik echt niets voor haar doen?' en Gechazi antwoordde: ‘Jawel, ze heeft geen zoon, en haar man is al oud.' Toen zei Elisa: ‘Roep haar binnen.' De hecho, la Biblia nos habla de algunos hombres y mujeres que hanganado fama inmortal, de cuyos nombres no sabemos nada.Había tres hombres que arriesgaron sus vidas tomando agua del pozo de Belén paradar de beber a David (2 S. 23:13-17). David consideró esto como un acto de devocióntan notable que no bebió el agua sino que la derramó como una ofrenda sagrada. Perono se dan a conocer sus nombres.No sabemos cómo se llamaba aquella gran mujer de Sunem (2 R. 4:8-17), perosiempre será recordada por el aposento que construyó para el profeta Eliseo.Había una muchacha judía desconocida, por cuyo consejo Naamán fue al profetaEliseo para ser sanado de la lepra (2 R. 5:3-14). Dios conoce su nombre, y eso es todo loque importa.¿Quién fue la mujer que ungió la cabeza de Jesús? (Mt. 26:6-13). Mateo no revela sunombre, pero su fama se anuncia desde entonces en las palabras de nuestro Señor: “Decierto os digo que dondequiera que se predique este evangelio, en todo el mundo,también se contará lo que ésta ha hecho, para memoria de ella” (v. 13). La pobre viudaque echó sus últimas dos monedas en el arca del tesoro es otra de las “desconocidas deDios” (Lc. 21:2). Esta mujer ilustra espléndidamente la verdad de lo maravilloso que escuánto puedes llegar a hacer por Dios si no te importa quién se lleve el honor.Seguidamente, está el muchacho que dio sus cinco panes y dos peces al Señor y losvio multiplicarse hasta que saciaron a cinco mil hombres más mujeres y niños (Jn. 6:9).No sabemos su nombre pero jamás será olvidado lo que hizo.¡Una ilustración final! XIII Domingo Ordinario Leccionario: 97 Primera lectura: 2 Reyes 4, 8-11. 14-16a Un día pasaba Eliseo por la ciudad de Sunem y una mujer distinguida lo invitó con insistencia a comer en su casa. Desde entonces, siempre que Eliseo pasaba por ahí, iba a comer a su casa. En una ocasión, ella le dijo a su marido: “Yo sé que este hombre, que con tanta frecuencia nos visita, es un hombre de Dios. Vamos a construirle en los altos una pequeña habitación. Le pondremos allí una cama, una mesa, una silla y una lámpara, para que se quede allí, cuando venga a visitarnos”. Así se hizo y cuando Eliseo regresó a Sunem, subió a la habitación y se recostó en la cama. Entonces le dijo a su criado: “¿Qué podemos hacer por esta mujer?” El criado le dijo: “Mira, no tiene hijos y su marido ya es un anciano”. Entonces dijo Eliseo: “Llámala”. El criado la llamó y ella, al llegar, se detuvo en la puerta. Eliseo le dijo: “El año que viene, por estas mismas fechas, tendrás un hijo en tus brazos”.   Segunda lectura: Rom 6, 3-4. 8-11 Hermanos: Todos los que hemos sido incorporados a Cristo Jesús por medio del bautismo, hemos sido incorporados a su muerte. En efecto, por el bautismo fuimos sepultados con él en su muerte, para que, así como Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos por la gloria del Padre, así también nosotros llevemos una vida nueva. Por lo tanto, si hemos muerto con Cristo, estamos seguros de que también viviremos con él; pues sabemos que Cristo, una vez resucitado de entre los muertos, ya nunca morirá. La muerte ya no tiene dominio sobre él, porque al morir, murió al pecado de una vez para siempre; y al resucitar, vive ahora para Dios.
