Die Rollen in der Ehe

Freude Am Heute

Did you know that the difference between someone who makes a big check and someone who builds long-lasting financial freedom is not their skill? It is what we call the money thermostat. And what sets the thermostat is how aligned you are in your finances and financial mindset. Fear comes in the way of your successes and failures that hold you back even further. But with consistency, hard work, leadership, and strategy in your content and how you manage your team members, you get more aligned in your business and have that momentum to keep going to reach your goals. In this Diamond Life Mentor Uncut episode, Balazs W Kardos is back with another Accelerator to share a strategy around your money thermostat and how it keeps you stuck or reaching the ranks. You will hear powerful insights and motivation around:Having alignment and momentum in businessBalancing old and new strategiesHaving a fear of success or failureEncouraging a proactive approach in the communityReverse engineering your money mindsetBalazs relates this to having a part-time job while managing a business. If you quit too soon, before you've mastered your systems and your mindset, you risk backtracking, having to find another job because the pressure was too much. This happens to 90% of people who quit too early. But if you wait until you've mastered your internal thermostat and your external systems, you quit from a place of strength. Then, Balazs recommends focusing on what you can control, staying consistent, and proving to yourself that you are worthy of the success waiting for you."You will only have this short runway opportunity for so long, until you are past it and you go full-time in your business, you quit your job, you start traveling, you start doing all this stuff. And then what happens is your relatability starts to get further and further away from the average person." - Balazs W KardosDo not miss the full episode to start building momentum and alignment as you identify the fear that is preventing you from getting your target income level.Want a Personalized Plan for Business & Life Optimization?Book A FREE Call Connect with Balazs W Kardos:WebsiteFacebookThe Diamond Life CommunityLinkedInYouTubeInstagramThe Diamond Life Mentor Instagram

The greatest weapon against your identity isn't a blatant lie—it's a subtle suggestion. The enemy doesn't come up to you and say, "You aren't God's child." Instead, he whispers, "If you are God's child... then why is this happening?"In this episode of Shifts and Ladders, we look at the pattern in Matthew Chapters 3 and 4 to uncover how the enemy attempts to shift you from Sonship to Survival. We analyze the Baptism of Jesus vs. the Temptation in the Wilderness to see exactly how the enemy removed the word "Beloved" and added the condition "If".If you are working 80 hours a week turning "stones into bread" just to prove you are successful, you are falling into a trap. It is time to stop entertaining the "question mark" and stand on God's "period."In this video, we cover:(0:00) The "Subtle Suggestion": How the enemy attacks your identity(1:20) Matthew 3: Why God established "Beloved" (Identity) before "Ministry" (Productivity)(3:30) Matthew 4: The Test immediately follows the Revelation(5:00) The Trap: How the enemy strips "Beloved" to make your identity "Conditionary"(6:50) Stones to Bread: The danger of using your gift to prove your worth(8:40) The Solution: Integration and the power of "It Is Written"(9:15) Question Marks vs. Periods: Living off the Word(10:00) The Challenge: Be a Thermostat and set the temperature this weekQuotes from the episode:"God's pleasure is anchored in Jesus' identity, not his productivity.""The enemy wants you to move from sonship to survival... survival is always conditionary.""When you try to prove your identity, you actually lose your authority.""A suggestion always has a question mark, but a declaration always ends in a period."#Identity #SpiritualWarfare #Matthew4 #ChristianLeadership #RionRobinson #ShiftsAndLadders #BeDoHave

In this short podcast, Bryan gives another history lesson and goes over the history of the thermostat. Before 1883, automatic temperature control simply did not exist; we shoveled fuel into the furnace and opened windows. If a room got too hot in a commercial building, the janitor would go downstairs to choke the draft damper; this person was responsible for manually controlling comfort. Warren S. Johnson, a Milwaukee-based college professor, sought to do something about his classroom's sweltering heat. He created a pneumatic thermostat that mounted to the wall, sensed temperature, and used air pressure and mechanical systems to control dampers. This invention grew in popularity, and he founded Johnson Controls. Compressed air ran entire HVAC networks by adjusting dampers and valves before electricity went mainstream. Engineers experimented with bi-metallic strips, which could open or close an electrical circuit based on temperature changes, which made thermostats smaller and cheaper. Honeywell came on the scene by hiring industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss, who invented the mercury thermostat: the T87 round thermostat. When the bimetal coil tilted, mercury rolled from one end to the other to complete or open the circuit. These thermostats had a heat anticipator, which kept them from overshooting the temperature. Unfortunately, when these thermostats were disposed of, the mercury polluted the environment and affected the central nervous system. The digital thermostat came on the scene to replace the mercury thermostat, which led to the development of the Nest smart thermostat. However, all this time, comfort has been associated with the number on the thermostat; smart comfort controls that learn our routines and monitor dew point, relative humidity, and IAQ are the next step to create true comfort and health.   Have a question that you want us to answer on the podcast? Dr. Bass introduces the idea of a "beauty thermostat"—your personal comfort level with change. Some people have a high-sensitivity thermostat, noticing every small shift and wanting to act quickly. Others have a low-sensitivity one, waiting until changes are much more visible before taking action. Neither approach is wrong. It's about self-awareness and balance. Those who act early may need smaller tweaks but risk over-focusing, while those who wait may face bigger fixes later. Dr. Bass reminds us that perfection isn't the goal; most people see the whole picture, not every detail. If you see the issue, your surgeon agrees, and there's a reliable fix, go for it. If not, it's okay to pause. The sweet spot lies in the middle: caring about your appearance without letting it control you. Stop Saying “Don't Be Insecure”: What to Say Instead [Ep 97]

Most men say “don't be insecure”—and accidentally make it worse. In this episode we show exactly what to say and do when your partner spirals, why silent treatment is emotional manipulation, and how to stop the avoidant ↔ anxious ping-pong. We role-play a real scenario (the “gym girls” fear), break down a viral Reddit post where a partner went 7 days with no contact, and give practical reassurance scripts that calm anxiety without coddling.Chapters • 00:00 Cold open: “Don't be so insecure” (why that backfires) • 01:20 Setup + listener Reddit post summary • 04:05 7 days of silence: space vs. manipulation • 08:40 Why “You're hot, stop worrying” doesn't reassure her • 12:15 Role-play: the gym girls insecurity (listen → reflect → reassure) • 18:10 When she's anxious and he's avoidant: breaking the loop • 22:45 “Thermostat vs. Regulator”: who feels closeness, who fixes it • 27:30 Mixed signals aren't mixed—they're messages • 31:05 Boundaries: what to do if he won't engage • 36:20 Men's playbook: reassurance scripts that actually work • 41:00 Women's playbook: ask for help without “frog-farming” • 46:15 Quick recap + weekly challengesRelevant links & resources • “Attached” (Amir Levine & Rachel Heller) — on anxious/avoidant patterns • The Four Horsemen: Stonewalling (Gottman Institute): https://www.gottman.com • Say hi / send your story: betterthanperfectpodcast@gmail.com • IG/TikTok: @betterthanperfectpodcastIf this helped, drop a comment with the most useful line you plan to use this week.

SHOW NOTES: Welcome back, home improvement enthusiasts! We love this time of year, with the cool, crisp air and the anticipation of autumn. But the chill also means higher heating bills, so today we are dedicating the hour to helping you stay warm and save some serious energy dollars! Here is what we've got coming up today on The Money Pit: - Sealing Drafts: We'll show you easy and effective ways to find and fix the sneaky drafts around your windows, doors, and attics. Learn how to use a simple candle to locate leaks and then seal them up, using inexpensive solutions like weather stripping and foam gaskets. - Adding Insulation: If you've noticed your energy costs creeping up, it might be time to beef up your insulation, but remember that not all types are created equal. We'll break down the pros and cons of different insulations, so you know exactly what will work best for your space. - Smart Thermostats: Are you still heating your home with an older thermostat? We're going to show you how making the smart switch to a smart thermostat can lower your energy bills, learn your habits, and make your home cozier, all with just a few taps on your phone.   Q & A: - Belle from Bristol, Virginia, says the solid stain on her deck started chipping after only a year. We advise that the deck was likely too damp when the stain was applied and recommend scraping off the loose spots until she is ready to strip the entire surface. - Steve in Arizona asked about the cost of a three-ton air conditioner. We explain that the price is dependent on the contractor and equipment efficiency (SEER rating), urging him to get competitive bids from three vendors for the same product. - Katherine contacted us about deteriorating brick faces and mortar near her foundation. We recommend using Quikrete ReCap to repair the masonry and a mortar repair product for the joints, mixing in available dyes to match the color of the old materials. - Nick emailed regarding attaching his new vanity top to the base. We suggest using a strong adhesive on the vanity edge, followed by a bead of caulk along the back wall, to secure the composite top without needing physical fasteners. - Billy from New Jersey asks about installing a storm door and exterior door combination. We tell him that modern, Energy Star-rated steel or fiberglass exterior doors have superior integral weather stripping, making the storm door unnecessary.   ASK A QUESTION: Need help with your own home improvement or décor question? We'd love to help! Call the show 24/7 at 888-MONEY-PIT (888-666-3974) or post your question here: https://www.moneypit.com/ask. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In this solo episode of the Dad Edge Podcast, host Larry Hagner opens up about what it means to be the thermostat in your home, not just the thermometer. With economic uncertainty, workplace stress, and daily responsibilities piling up, Larry shares a powerful message: while we can't always control the outside world, we can control the atmosphere inside our homes.   Drawing from his own experience as a husband, father of four, entrepreneur, and coach to hundreds of men, Larry offers three simple but game-changing practices to help you lead with presence, peace, and intentionality. You'll learn how to create transition rituals, share stress in age-appropriate ways, and protect one daily “anchor moment” with your family.   This isn't just advice—it's a battle plan for fatherhood in today's chaotic world.   TIMELINE SUMMARY   [0:00] - The Dad Edge movement: raising the next generation of fathers [1:06] - Why “Dad Jones” matters more than Dow Jones [2:30] - From entrepreneurship to emotional presence at home [3:38] - Why dads must become the thermostat, not the thermometer [4:31] - Breaking generational cycles through intentional leadership [5:21] - Tactical Nugget #1: Create a transition ritual [6:02] - From Zoom calls to family time in 60 seconds or less [7:39] - Zoom fatigue, blue-collar exhaustion, and stress overload [8:18] - Real-world examples of transition rituals that work [9:36] - The “warm-up” metaphor: why you can't sprint cold [10:40] - Tactical Nugget #2: Share age-appropriate context [11:48] - Explaining stress to a 9-year-old without oversharing [12:49] - Tactical Nugget #3: Protect one anchor moment daily [13:46] - The dinner table is sacred—don't let sports take it away [14:55] - The Hagner family: 70% dinner consistency even with teens [16:05] - Anchoring doesn't have to be nightly—just intentional [17:09] - What it means to protect your family's emotional economy [18:18] - Action step: Choose one ritual to stabilize your home [19:02] - Want to go deeper? Why Larry created the Dad Edge Alliance [20:14] - Introducing: The Dad Edge Business Brotherhood [21:01] - “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”   5 KEY TAKEAWAYS   1. Be the Thermostat, Not the Thermometer Your mood sets the emotional tone in your home. Don't react to the chaos—lead through it.   2. Create a Transition Ritual Whether it's deep breathing, walking, or reading scripture, take 5–10 minutes to reset before re-entering home life.   3. Speak to Your Kids at Their Level You don't need to dump stress on your children—but you can share what's going on in ways they understand.   4. Protect One Daily Anchor Moment Whether it's a meal, bedtime routine, or morning coffee with your spouse—make it non-negotiable.   5. Your Family Needs a Grounded Leader They don't need a stressed-out provider. They need you—calm, present, and emotionally available.
