In Part 2 of my conversation with retreat leader Marybeth Donahoe, we get specific. What did Marybeth learn from her most recent retreat in Peru — and what is she carrying into Mexico? Who is genuinely ready for an experience like this? We dig into what "midlife" actually means for the women we work with, why being held by other women is something many of us have been quietly taught to resist, and what we hope women will be able to say six months after they leave. We close with the practical fears that most often stop women from saying yes — and what to do if you're sitting with a "but."Missed Part 1? Dating can be exciting, hopeful, and full of possibilities. When you care deeply about someone, it is natural to want the relationship to work. You may pray harder, try harder, forgive repeatedly, and convince yourself that things will eventually improve. But not every relationship is meant to continue. Sometimes the most loving, wise, and God-honoring decision is to walk away. That does not mean you failed. It does not mean you were unlovable or impatient. It may simply mean you […] The post 5 Reasons to Walk Away from a Dating Relationship appeared first on Christian Singles Advice | Christian Dating Advice Tips. “Would You Fail 10 ‘Ridiculously Easy' Questions… or Walk Away a Winner?” Fresh off the long weekend, JB, Sandy, and Tricia bring the energy (and the laughs) as they dive headfirst into everything from post–Memorial Day sluggishness to hilariously relatable life observations. Tricia sets the tone early with a brutally honest—and funny—reminder: “Life can be tough, you guys, but you still gotta wear deodorant.” It's the kind of real talk that immediately pulls you in and sets the stage for an episode full of unexpected moments. One standout segment? The official kickoff of JB & Sandy's “98 Days of Summer”, where the team challenges listeners with 10 “ridiculously easy” questions in 60 seconds. Sounds simple… until the pressure is on. Listener Tina steps up to represent San Marcos in a high-stakes trivia moment that delivers both suspense and laughs. JB's playful warning—“If you fail at this, I'm gonna be really disappointed… in everybody in San Marcos”—raises the stakes and keeps everyone on edge. The episode also introduces a fan-favorite: Ryan, the pint-sized “small town reporter” with a surprisingly refined palate. His chicken tender review is oddly detailed and absolutely delightful, complete with an “8.2” rating and a confident breakdown of flavor and spice. It's charming, it's funny, and it's the kind of segment you'll be talking about long after the show ends. In Care or Don't Care, the crew tackles a mix of bizarre and heartwarming headlines—including a jaw-dropping 14,991-pound serving of guacamole and the story of a service dog earning a well-deserved “dog-ploma.” It's a perfect blend of absurdity and feel-good storytelling that keeps the conversation moving at a rapid, entertaining pace. And just when you think you've heard it all, the show pivots into a thought-provoking discussion: what's the third most commonly spoken language in Texas? The answer? Totally unexpected—and it sparks a conversation that's both eye-opening and surprisingly insightful. From laugh-out-loud moments to quirky trivia and heartfelt stories, this episode captures everything that makes The JB and Sandy Show such a must-listen. Becky Hill pled guilty to misconduct in office, obstruction of justice, and perjury. The South Carolina Supreme Court said she engaged in shocking jury interference that forced them to overturn Alex Murdaugh's double murder conviction unanimously. Her sentence was probation and community service. Let that math sit for a second. The Murdaugh defense held a press conference to announce a federal lawsuit against Hill — because in their view, the state has failed to hold her accountable for what she did. And the facts make that argument hard to dismiss. A clerk of court who pled guilty to lying under oath, who the state's highest court found corrupted a murder trial for personal financial gain, who allegedly told jurors not to believe the defense and to watch the defendant's body language — and she walked away with community service. The lawsuit seeks damages and discovery. The defense wants to know if she acted alone. They want depositions. They want subpoenas. They want answers the state never pursued.Meanwhile, the AG is now considering the death penalty for the man whose trial his own office failed to protect from a corrupt clerk. He called Hill's conduct “ultimately harmless.” The Supreme Court disagreed so strongly they threw out the entire conviction. The defense says the AG is running for governor and making decisions accordingly. Whether that's fair or strategic framing, the gap between calling jury interference harmless and seeking execution for the defendant it harmed is difficult to bridge.Alex Murdaugh is not a sympathetic figure. He's a convicted financial criminal who stole millions from vulnerable people. But the system that tried him for murder failed on multiple levels, and the people responsible for that failure have barely been held to account. Dr. Brian Harris built five dental practices, filled his garage with a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, a GT3, and a G-Wagon, and still wasn't any happier than when he had one office. So he did what almost no one does: he sold the practices back to his associates, went back to one location, and doubled down on the craft he actually loves. In this episode, Peter, Craig, Ian, and Brian unpack the real story behind the highlight reel. Why ego drives expansion more than strategy. Why financial success doesn't automatically create fulfillment. Why younger dentists need to rev the RPMs before they chase lifestyle dentistry. And why the ability to walk away from something you built might be the most underrated skill in the profession. Brian also shares what he's learned from nearly a decade running his own mastermind, building Smile Virtual, and doing $400K a month in production as a solo cosmetic dentist. His core message to every dentist listening: connection before conversion. Stop trying to close people. Start organizing your practice and your life around what actually makes you excited to show up. DESCRIPTION The Bulletproof Dental Podcast Episode: 437 HOSTS: Dr. Peter Boulden, Dr. Craig Spodak, and Ian de Jongh Special Guest: Dr. Brian Harris In this episode, Peter Boulden, Craig Spodak, and Ian de Jongh sit down with Dr. Brian Harris, cosmetic dentist, founder of Smile Virtual, and headliner at the 2026 Bulletproof Summit in Scottsdale. Brian shares the unfiltered story of scaling to five practices, realizing he was making less money and carrying more stress, and making the unconventional decision to go back to one office and focus on what he loves. If you've ever wondered whether more locations, more revenue, or more stuff will actually make you happier, this episode is a brutally honest look at what happens when you get everything you thought you wanted and have to recalibrate. TAKEAWAYS - Building multiple locations without the right leadership layer can leave you earning less than you did with one - Ego and approval addiction are often the real drivers behind expansion decisions - The grind phase early in your career is necessary and shouldn't be skipped - Knowing when to take the cul-de-sac back out is just as important as perseverance - Material success (cars, money, status) does not reliably increase happiness - Organizing your practice around what excites you creates better outcomes than chasing what others say you should do - Connection before conversion is the key to case acceptance and long-term practice success - Social media content works best when it's about your patients, not about you - Repetition through tools like Smile Virtual builds consultation skills that translate to real-life case acceptance - Being out of balance isn't a failure if you recognize it and course correct CHAPTERS 00:00 Opening Banter and Introductions 01:09 What Should the World of Dentistry Be Like 02:53 What Would You Tell Your Younger Self 04:29 The Case Against Lifestyle Dentistry Too Early 06:08 The Dip, the Cul-de-Sac, and Knowing When to Walk Away 07:15 What Are You Most Proud Of 09:15 Going from One Office to Five and Back Again 11:25 The Counter Narrative to Build Build Build 13:51 It Was Ego 15:17 A Garage Full of Supercars and the Same Level of Happiness 17:12 The Trap of Chasing Financial Success 18:16 Finding What You Actually Love About Dentistry 21:10 The Value of Loving Your Craft 23:51 The Strivers Curse and Being Out of Balance 26:10 Acknowledging When You're Out of Balance 28:13 Approval Addiction and Learning to Say No 30:20 People Pleasing Beyond the Operatory 32:27 Building a Personal Brand That Serves Patients 35:07 Content Strategy and Making It About Others 37:06 The Elite Mastermind and Finding Your Tribe 41:56 The Danger of Wrong-Fit Groups and Outside Influencers 44:36 Authenticity Over Sales Tactics 46:09 How Smile Virtual Builds Real Consultation Skills 49:46 Brian's Message to Every Dentist Listening 53:18 The Spirit of Service and Why It Wins 55:27 Brian's Megaphone Moment 59:09 Closing and Summit Details REFERENCES - Bulletproof Summit 2026 - https://bulletproofsummit.com/ - Bulletproof Mastermind - https://bulletproofmastermind.com/ - Smile Virtual - https://smilevirtual.com/

Tim Heitmann started Double Good as a 500-square-foot popcorn shop on Navy Pier in 1998 and grew it into a wholesale business that sold to Costco, QVC, and FTD. Then a handwritten letter from a fifth grader who had raised $300 for his band trip made Tim question everything. He walked away from wholesale and poured the company into a fundraising side business that was barely 5% of revenue. In this episode of Predicting The Turn, Tim shares the full arc: how he spent five years quietly building a fundraising tech platform with just three people in a WeWork office, why he focused obsessively on competitive cheerleading as his beachhead market, and how COVID did not create the pivot but revealed a platform that had been five years in the making. When growth exploded in 2021 (400% in Q1 alone), Tim explains the brutal reality of scaling manufacturing, watching SLAs blow from 10 to 47 days, and building a blackout feature to throttle demand before it killed the brand.Tim also explains why Double Good has never taken outside investment, why he thinks in decades instead of quarters, and how he is building an executive team and governance structure so the company can outlast him. If you care about purpose-driven brands, patient entrepreneurship, and what it really takes to disrupt a 100-year-old industry with technology, this one delivers.- From a Navy Pier popcorn shop to a fundraising tech platform- The kid's letter that redirected the entire company- Building the tech platform with 3 people in a WeWork over 5 years- Why competitive cheerleading was the perfect beachhead market- The 4-day fundraiser model vs. the industry standard of 30 days- COVID as accelerant: 400% Q1 growth in 2021- Scaling crisis: SLAs from 10 to 47 days, 3,300 open tickets- Why Double Good has never taken outside investment- Building an evergreen company that thinks in decades

If you have ever felt like a failure because the "evidence-based" protocol didn't fix you, or if you are a clinician feeling the crushing weight of a system that rewards compliance over competence—this episode is your validation. The wall is hollow. The science has become science-flavored capitalism. But the real work is still happening in the cracks of the system, in the rooms where two human beings are brave enough to put down the worksheets and simply look at each other. "The way a profession defends a failed paradigm against its own data is the same way a patient defends a failed self-image against their own felt experience." In the explosive penultimate episode of Psychotherapy on the Couch, Joel takes a magnifying glass to the single greatest crisis of modern American psychiatry: the moment the apparatus proved its own foundation was a lie, and then decided to just keep building on it anyway. This episode dives deep into the STAR*D study—a $35 million federal initiative designed to prove the medication-first paradigm worked. It didn't. But instead of changing course, the industry buried the data, ignored the severe suicidality rates, and proceeded to build decades of clinical guidelines on a fiction. This isn't just a story about bad science; it's a clinical case study in institutional dissociation. When the cold machine looks in the mirror and sees a monster, it doesn't change—it just shatters the glass.

There are at least thirty-three Yellow Deli locations worldwide. The reviews are glowing. The atmosphere is warm. And according to former members, cult researchers, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, every single one of them is allegedly a recruitment center for the Twelve Tribes — a group classified as a Christian fundamentalist cult.In this episode, Tony Brueski pulls back the curtain on the Yellow Deli pipeline. Former members describe a process that starts with a sandwich and ends with total surrender — your savings, your name, your family, your autonomy. The warmth is real. The strategy behind it, according to the people who lived through it, is allegedly calculated.Cult expert Steven Hassan has described the delis as recruitment vehicles where staff are reportedly trained to identify vulnerable visitors and guide them toward deeper involvement. One couple described being welcomed into a neighborhood by Twelve Tribes members who helped with their yard, brought meals, and finished home repairs for free. More than a year later, they reportedly realized they had been drawn into a system they could not easily leave. The Twelve Tribes was founded in 1972. The first Yellow Deli opened in 1973 with a model of members working for no pay. That model has allegedly not changed in over fifty years. The group maintains approximately forty communities across four continents. Former members describe surrendering all property, taking new names, and being cut off from outside relationships. This is how it allegedly starts. A meal. A smile. he promise of the Mishkan end with: “I will not be disgusted by you”?Why introduce rejection in the middle of love? Most human dysfunction begins with one fear:“If you really knew me, you would leave.”In this shiur, delivered in Tomer Devorah, Rav Burg explores: • the psychology of shame • why human beings hide • the fear beneath perfectionism, defensiveness, people-pleasing, anger, addiction, and withdrawal • the Gottman Institute's concept of contempt as the destroyer of attachment • Adam HaRishon's first reaction to sin: hiding • and the radically different relationship Hashem offers humanity:“I already see everything and I am still here.”The Mishkan is not merely a place where Hashem dwells. It is the destruction of shame itself.

Five listener accounts. Five different parts of the country. Five different decades. And in every one of them, something out there showed an ordinary person, in no uncertain terms, that they were not at the top of the food chain. This episode isn't about quick glimpses through the trees. It's about the slow encounters. The ones where something took its time, where it watched, where it made a deliberate decision about whether or not to let the witness walk away. The first account comes from Dale, a lifelong hunter from Sequim, Washington, who was twenty-three years old in October of 1978 when he climbed into a drainage off the Dosewallips before first light and saw something standing in the fog at the base of the slope. Sixty yards away. Gray-skinned, slope-browed, motionless in a way that no living thing should be able to manage.Dale walked out of those woods that morning and didn't return to any forest for twenty-six years. From there we move to Karen, a young woman from Elkins, West Virginia, who was twenty-four years old in September of 1993 and out for a solo overnight on a loop she'd hiked many times before. At two in the morning, every insect in the Monongahela went silent, something pressed a hand the size of a dinner plate against the wall of her tent, and the heat of a living body radiated through the nylon inches from her face. The next morning she saw what had been standing over her.Brent rides next, a heavy equipment operator out of Athens, Ohio, who was on the OHV trails in the Wayne National Forest with his buddy Cody on a clear October afternoon in 2019. They heard whoops trade across the saddle of a ridge. They turned around to leave. And on the way back down the trail they'd just ridden, they found a fourteen-inch oak laid across the two-track that had not been there forty minutes earlier, with no root ball, drag marks in the dirt, and something watching them from behind a white oak thirty yards uphill. The fourth account is told secondhand by Katelyn, the granddaughter of a northern Wisconsin trapper named Cal, who walked his line on a state forest tract north of the Bois Brule River in October of 1972 and found his sets methodically disabled. A foothold trap hung ten feet up in a hemlock. A marten cubby pried off a maple, turned a hundred and eighty degrees, and re-nailed backwards. A young whitetail arranged on the moss above an otter set, legs folded, head balanced upright, like a chess piece placed for him to find. Then three wood knocks from three different directions. Then a tall, lean, gray-haired figure standing between two pines in the dawn light, watching him with an expression Cal could only describe as tired. The episode closes with Marisol, a freelance photographer who in late August of 2015 hiked into a small alpine lake in the Trinity Alps Wilderness of northern California to shoot the milky way. The wind shifted across the cirque, the smell of a wet animal carried over the water, and through her two-hundred-millimeter zoom she watched something kneel at the far shore, cup water in its palm, drink, and then turn its head and look directly into her lens. A face with a heavy brow, a square jaw, and a small but distinct chin. Eight feet tall when it stood. She broke camp in the fading light and hiked six miles back to the trailhead in the dark, and she has never reviewed the photographs she took that afternoon. What links these five accounts isn't the description of the creature. The descriptions vary. Reddish brown. Gray. Nearly black. Heavy jaw, no chin. Narrower jaw, slight chin. Lean and starved-looking. Massive and barrel-chested. What links them is the aftermath.Every one of these people rearranged their lives around what happened. Hunting careers ended. Backpacking ended. Photography careers pivoted indoors. Decades of silence followed by a single attempt to put it down somewhere, with someone, before the memory had to go to the grave with them.If you've been carrying something of your own, the inbox is open.Have you experienced a Bigfoot sighting, Sasquatch encounter, Dogman experience, UFO sighting, or any unexplained cryptid or paranormal event deep in the woods? He survived war. He survived addiction. But his own department almost broke him.Episode 110 of The Wild Chaos Podcast features Gabe Smith — US Army veteran, former SWAT officer, and police sniper — sharing one of the most raw and honest law enforcement stories we've had on the show.To watch in studio, visit: https://youtu.be/Ck2dWJu4_IAFrom deployments in Iraq to battling opioid addiction and surviving a near-fatal overdose, Gabe rebuilt his life and returned to service, earning a badge with the Reno Police Department and eventually joining SWAT.But the story doesn't end there. We dive into the realities of modern policing:• Homeless crisis and compassion fatigue• Use-of-force and real-world decision making• Importance of defensive tactics and jiu jitsu• Internal department politics and leadership failures• Allegations of falsified records and retaliation• Why good officers walk awayGabe shares what pushed him out of law enforcement — not the streets, but the system behind the badge. We also talk about recovery and what comes next:• PTSD and first responder mental health• Suicide in law enforcement• Psychedelic therapy (DMT, psilocybin, MDMA)• Faith, healing, and rebuilding purpose• Supporting veterans and first respondersIf you want to understand what's really happening inside law enforcement and what needs to change, this episode is essential. To learn more about firearms and fitness training, visit: https://www.precision-resilience.comTo help support Gabe and his mission of helping veterans and first responders, or to donate, visit: https://www.resilientlivesfoundation.org

A note before we begin: RILAs are registered securities, and we don't sell them. We sell fixed annuities — SPIAs, MYGAs, and fixed indexed annuities. This conversation is educational, not a recommendation for or against any specific product. RILAs — registered index-linked annuities — are the fastest-growing annuity category by new premium, with sales reaching $79.5 billion in 2025. That's more than ten times what the category produced a decade ago, and 2024 was the first year RILAs outsold traditional variable annuities. Rapid sales growth doesn't automatically mean a product belongs in your retirement plan. If you've ever seen a RILA illustration and felt like something didn't quite add up, this conversation walks through what these products actually do, where the tradeoffs hide, and why the income story that drives most annuity decisions rarely makes a RILA the right answer. You'll learn how the buffer concept works, why higher caps aren't free, and how absorbing the first 10 to 15 percent of a market loss changes the math on recovery. You'll also see why RILA sales appear to be tracking almost dollar-for-dollar with the decline in variable annuity sales, and what that pattern suggests about who these products are really being built for. The conversation covers the few situations where a RILA genuinely makes sense — a 1035 exchange out of a high-fee legacy variable annuity, non-qualified accumulation after maxing qualified accounts, a long runway of fifteen-plus years to retirement, or an equity-anchored client who refuses to derisk. It also covers where they consistently fall short, particularly on the income side, where a purpose-built fixed indexed annuity with an income rider almost always wins on the math that matters. You'll hear why a 10 percent payout rate on a RILA isn't the same as a 6 percent payout rate on an FIA income rider, and why adding an income rider to a RILA tends to neutralize the very feature that justified accepting buffer risk in the first place. ___________________________________ If you're working through how guaranteed income, principal-protected growth, or a fixed annuity might fit into your retirement plan, schedule a call or send us a written message and we'll walk through SPIAs, MYGAs, and fixed indexed annuities to help you figure out what's actually appropriate for what you're trying to accomplish. In this solo-style episode, Travis is joined in-studio by his producer Eric for a candid and practical conversation about one of the most underrated skills in business: decision-making. From chasing every opportunity to learning when to pivot or walk away, they break down the real-world lessons entrepreneurs face when balancing growth, focus, and timing. Through personal stories and examples, this episode dives into how saying “yes” or “no” at the right moment can make—or cost—you millions. On this episode we talk about: The dangers of saying yes to too many opportunities (shiny object syndrome) Why entrepreneurs struggle to quit—and when quitting is actually the right move How to evaluate opportunities based on timing, focus, and long-term value The difference between quitting vs. pivoting in business and life Missed opportunities, regret, and how to make better decisions moving forward Top 3 Takeaways You don't need a “good reason” to say no—protecting your focus is reason enough. Quitting isn't failure if you're using feedback to pivot toward a better opportunity. Many people fail not because they quit too early, but because they hold on too long to the wrong thing. Notable Quotes "You don't have to justify your no—you can just say no." "Quitting the path isn't quitting the game." "A 10 out of 10 skill set in a 4 out of 10 opportunity will always be a struggle." Hi friend — welcome back to The Habit Within! I'm Camille Kinzler, and today's episode is one that feels tender, nuanced, and honestly… a little uncomfortable.Because we're talking about something that doesn't get discussed enough: When is it time to walk away — even when nothing is obviously wrong? Not when there are red flags. Not when something is broken or unhealthy. But when everything looks “good” on paper… and something inside you quietly says, this isn't it anymore. If you've ever felt that subtle nudge — in your career, your community, your role, your identity — this conversation is for you. In this episode, I share: Why walking away from something good can feel harder than leaving something clearly wrong My personal experience stepping away from being a physician assistant — and the identity unraveling that came with it The hidden weight of time, money, and energy already invested (and why it keeps us stuck) How identity gets wrapped up in what we do — and why that makes change feel so confronting The season where I made decisions based on “fun” — and why that didn't fully work for me How I now decide whether to stay or leave: Am I still in an active relationship with this? Is there more for me to create, learn, or express here? The truth about mundane seasons — and why “chop wood, carry water” still matters What it looked like to walk away from a deeply meaningful business and community — and the grief that came with it Why you don't actually lose what you've built — even when you leave it The idea that your life may come full circle in ways you can't yet see I also walk you through a few powerful questions you can ask yourself if you're in that in-between space — not fully in, but not fully out either.Because sometimes the hardest decisions aren't about what's clearly wrong… They're about honoring what's quietly changed within you.Reflection Questions If nothing changed about your current situation… would you still choose it? Are you staying because it's aligned — or because it's familiar? Is this discomfort coming from growth… or from misalignment? Is there more here for you — or have you already said what you came to say? I'd love to hear from youAre you in a season where you're questioning whether to stay or walk away?Send me a message or share this episode — you're not alone in this space. If you're tired of feeling exhausted, irritable, moody, and just not like yourself, schedule a free 30-minute consultation so I can help you feel like YOU again Fill out this brief form (2 min) to schedule a free 30-minute call. In this episode of Storage Wins, Alex Pardo works with Dan Wentzel through one of the most real and raw moments of the journey so far. After months of working on a small wholesale deal, Dan finds himself stuck, frustrated, and mentally drained—unsure whether the deal is even worth pursuing anymore. What makes this episode powerful isn't just the deal itself—it's the internal battle that comes with it. The uncertainty. The sunk cost. The time, energy, and money already invested. And the pressure to "make it work" simply because you've come this far. Alex steps in to simplify everything. Instead of overanalyzing or trying to fix the situation, the focus shifts to one thing: making a decision. Move forward with clarity—or cut bait and redirect your energy toward better opportunities. The conversation also highlights a critical lesson for every investor: not every deal is worth saving. Sometimes the biggest win is protecting your time, your confidence, and your ability to move on. This episode is a turning point—where indecision gets replaced with action, and frustration gets replaced with clarity. You'll Learn How To: Recognize when a deal is no longer worth your time and energy Avoid the sunk cost trap when evaluating opportunities Take back control of deals instead of waiting passively Have direct conversations with sellers to force clarity Handle uncomfortable conversations with attorneys and partners Make faster decisions that protect your momentum and confidence What You'll Learn in This Episode: [0:52] The reality of frustration and feeling stuck in a deal [2:15] Why documenting the hard moments matters just as much as wins [4:01] Status update: contract sent, waiting on seller response [6:11] Why waiting without clarity creates more anxiety [8:36] The real issue: lack of control and passive communication [10:05] Avoiding uncomfortable conversations with the attorney [12:08] Why this deal has dragged on for months [14:28] The sunk cost trap and how it clouds decision-making [17:09] Taking ownership instead of blaming external factors [20:07] Why small deals shouldn't consume massive time and energy [22:23] The "fork in the road" moment—move forward or walk away [24:59] How opportunity cost can be bigger than the deal itself [26:13] The importance of decisive action vs overthinking [29:10] Why chasing deals puts you in a weak position [30:26] The next step: call the seller and force clarity [31:52] Setting up the next move and regaining control Who This Episode Is For: Investors stuck in deals that are dragging on too long Listeners struggling with indecision and overthinking Anyone dealing with frustration, delays, or unclear next steps Entrepreneurs caught in the sunk cost trap People who need to make a hard decision and move forward Why You Should Listen: Every investor eventually faces a deal that drags on longer than it should. The difference is whether you stay stuck—or step up and take control. This episode shows how to recognize when a deal is no longer serving you, how to cut through the noise, and how to make decisions that protect your time, energy, and momentum. If you've ever felt stuck in a situation you can't seem to move forward from, this conversation will help you break out of it and take your next step with confidence. I know that many of you, over the years, have told me how sad you are that your children and grandchildren do not come to church. At some point every founder needs to ask a simple question: is it better to own a big slice of a small pie, or a smaller slice of a bigger pie? In this week's episode, we hear from someone who chose a smaller slice of a bigger pie. Simon Lorenz co-founded Klara, a patient communication platform for medical practices, and raised roughly $32 million across six rounds of outside capital before selling to ModMed at 15 times forward revenue. The path there was not a clean one. Every funding round was painful. Most of them came down to a single term sheet, take it or leave it, because an early valuation had set an equity story Simon spent years chasing. He hired salespeople he later had to fire. He took on an apparatus he could not easily shut off. And when ModMed's CEO first reached out, Simon almost ignored the email because the company had finally started humming and he was preparing another round. What turned a distraction into a deal was Simon's willingness to act genuinely uninterested, which pulled ModMed up to a price that made his eyeballs pop out. What let him walk away twelve months after closing was a single clause his lawyer negotiated into the contract.

Trump is facing pressure on all fronts — and the cracks are starting to show. Abroad, tensions with Iran are escalating fast after a reported strike near Tehran killed a top Iranian leader. As the situation spirals, Donald Trump is pushing U.S. allies to help secure the Strait of Hormuz — but so far, key partners are refusing, raising questions about America's influence and the risk of a wider conflict. Back home, reality is setting in. After promising mass deportations and a “100 percent American workforce,” the administration is now expanding migrant farmworker visas as labor shortages hit — a stark reversal that exposes the limits of Trump's immigration agenda. Meanwhile, Republicans are advancing the SAVE Act, a controversial voting bill critics warn could tilt elections toward the GOP. Scott Galloway and Jessica Tarlov break it all down — from growing global pushback to the economic fallout at home, and whether the administration is losing control of its own agenda. Plus, Scott recaps his night at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. A simple trip to get your hair cut can instantly make you look years younger — and it may have little to do with the haircut itself. There's a subtle psychological shift that happens in that moment that changes how people see you… and how you see yourself. https://www.youbeauty.com/beauty/psychology-of-hair/ At some point, everyone faces the question: Do I stay, or do I go? A job that feels off. A relationship that's complicated. A place that no longer fits. But discomfort doesn't always mean it's time to leave — and comfort doesn't always mean you should stay. Emily P. Freeman, host of The Next Right Thing (https://emilypfreeman.com/podcast/) and author of How to Walk into a Room: The Art of Knowing When to Stay and When to Walk Away (https://amzn.to/43a6d1p), shares a thoughtful, practical framework for making life's hardest decisions with clarity instead of panic. Some songs don't just climb the charts — they change music. Tracks like “Good Vibrations,” “Rocket Man,” and “What a Fool Believes” didn't just become hits; they shifted the sound, the production, and even the business of rock and pop. Marc Myers, longtime Wall Street Journal contributor and author of Anatomy of 55 More Songs: The Oral History of Top Hits That Changed Rock, Pop and Soul (https://amzn.to/3TrynC4), takes us inside the stories behind these landmark recordings and explains what made them transformative. When you walk into a store, you think you're making rational choices. But before you touch a product or read a price tag, your senses are already at work — especially your sense of smell.
