(STINGER: WWE) The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on last night's RAW in an apparent backstage dispute over booking plans. Last night's show opened up promoting a “6 Pack Challenge” to decide the #1 contender for the Raw Women's Championship…with Banks, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Nikki A.S.H., and Doudrop. But less than an hour into the show, that match was changed during a backstage segment where Lynch said Banks and Naomi had left the building. Reports soon surfaced that this had actually happened…and WWE released a statement that stated that Banks and Naomi went into John Laurinaitis' office during the broadcast, put their title belts on his desk, and walked out…claiming they were ”uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents”. Banks and Naomi were repeatedly referred to as “unprofessional” during the remainder of RAW. The main event saw Asuka beat Becky Lynch in a one-on-one match. She will challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Championship at Hell In A Cell. Also now set for that event, Cody Rhodes will face Seth Rollins inside Hell In A Cell. Bobby Lashley beat Omos in a steel cage match. Omos threw Lashley through a panel of the cage and Lashley was able to walk away with the win. Veer Mahaan got a submission win over Mustafa Ali. The Miz was once again the special guest referee. And United States Champion Theory was also there to cause trouble for Ali. A post-match attack was interrupted by Rey & Dominik Mysterio's return to RAW. RAW Tag Team Champion Riddle beat SmackDown Tag Champ Jimmy Uso. A segment involving those two is being promoted for tonight's NXT. Also announced for tonight…the NXT Breakout Tournament semifinal between Trey Baxter and Odyssey Jones...plus, Ember Moon vs. Sarray. There's a new title match set for SummerSlam. Sheamus will defend the United States Championship against Damian Priest. Sheamus pinned Ricochet with a Brogue Kick in a non-title match on last night's Raw. Priest pinned John Morrison with the Reckoning for the second straight week. After the match, The Miz got out of his wheelchair to shove Priest...and then sprinted to the back. So, I guess his knee is feeling better. Randy Orton returned to Raw last night. He pinned one half of the Raw Tag Champs AJ Styles with an RKO. After the match, Orton shared a hug with Riddle...before he hit him with an RKO too. Lilly was in Alexa Bliss' corner for a match against Doudrop...and the presence of this doll really paid off. Lilly ended up on the top turnbuckle...and when Doudrop spotted it...there was a cutaway close-up shot of Lilly's face...and Lilly winked at Doudrop. Alexa took advantage of that distraction and rolled up Doudrop for the pin. A non-title match between Raw Women's Champ Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley ended with Charlotte Flair attacking both women. NXT Champion Karrion Kross submitted Jeff Hardy with his Kross Jacket chokehold to win a non-title match and avenge his loss to Hardy in his Raw debut weeks ago.. Baron Corbin showed up on Raw...but left with little more than another loss at the hands of Drew McIntyre. T-Bar pinned Mustafa Ali with Feast Your Eyes. A vignette showed Elias tossing his guitar into a fire...and declaring “Elias is dead”. (STINGER: AEW) Fans attending AEW's shows in Pittsburgh this week will be required to wear masks...regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not. An email to ticket holders laid out the University of Pittsburgh's guidelines for the Petersen Events Center, which will host Wednesday's Dynamite and the premiere episode of Rampage on Friday night. The AEW Champion Kenny Omega and the tag champs the Young Bucks will wrestle on Wednesday's Dynamite. They'll team up against the Sydal brothers and Dante Martin. Tonight's Dark is promoting at least 18 matches…including Bear Boulder's first match since last April. He'll reunite with Bear Bronson as Bear Country to take on Chaos Project. Also on tonight's Dark...Alan “5” Angels vs. QT Marshall...Private Party vs. Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta...and the Lucha Brothers vs. Cezar Bononi & JD Drake. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss were set for a tag match on last night's Elevation - but Janela attacked Kiss during their entrance. I guess that team is done for good. There was also an upset on the show. Captain Shawn Dean pinned PRETTY Peter Avalon with a powerbomb/backstabber combo that he calls The Salute.. That's only the second singles win in AEW this year for Dean. The Lucha Brothers beat Matt & Mike Sydal in the main event. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan is taking a break from the Super Junior Tag League on its show Tuesday...but there is a NEVER 6-Man Tag Title match in the main event. Two teams remain unbeaten in the Super Junior Tag League after Monday's show. Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo beat their Bullet Club cohorts Gedo & Dick Togo...and Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask handed the first tournament loss to El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Roppongi 3K is still looking for its first win of the tournament. They were beaten by Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato. The loss eliminates Roppongi 3K from tournament contention. A day after he won Dragon Gate's Open The Brave Gate Title, SB KENTo was STRIPPED of the title. The decision came down after SB KENTo's first defense against Keisuke Okuda ended in a “no contest”. Those two will meet again for the vacant title on September 11th. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor broadcaster Quinn McKay finally got the better of Mandy Leon. She beat her on this past weekend's ROH TV to advance in the women's title tournament. In another first-round match in the tournament, Trish Adora used the Cattle Mutilation to submit Marti Belle. The main event saw ROH Champ Bandido & Rey Horus beat Brody King & Chris Dickinson. Bandido pinned Dickinson with the 21 Plex. La Faccion Ingobernable attacked Bandido after the match...and Rush took Bandido's mask. The NWA added two names to a battle royal on its Empowerrr pay per view later this month: Debbie Malenko and Bianca Carelli. Malenko was a champion in All Japan during the 90's before a knee injury effectively ended her career. Carelli is the daughter of Santino Marella. Later, Charlotte sent herself through a table and Nikki capitalized with a twisting neckbreaker for the pin. Two other rematches from last week...Keith Lee pinned the NXT Champion Karrion Kross with a Spirit Bomb. That was also a non-title match. And T-Bar & Mace beat Mansoor & Mustafa Ali. One-half of the Raw Tag Champs Omos pinned Riddle. One-half of the WWE Womens' Tag Champs Tamina pinned...Doudrop with a Samoan Drop...handing Doudrop her first singles loss on Raw. Rhea Ripley rolled up a bloodied Nia Jax for a pinfall win after some miscommunication between Jax and Shayna Baszler. Damian Priest pinned John Morrison with a choke slam. Sheamus jumped Priest after the match...but that was cut off by Ricochet. That led to Priest & Ricochet vs. Sheamus & Morrison...and Priest pinned Morrison again with The Reckoning. Reggie pinned Akira Tozawa to retain the 24/7 Title. Fightful and Wrestling Inc. reported Monday that WWE released Ric Flair, at his request. (STINGER: New Japan) A new match announced for New Japan's Resurgence show in Los Angeles. The Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley and a mystery partner. It won't be Shota Umino. New Japan announced Umino will not appear at Resurgence due to travel restrictions in the United Kingdom. The Good Brothers won the Tag Team Turbulence tournament on New Japan Strong on Friday. Back in Japan, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI are STILL the NEVER Six Man Tag Champs. They beat Minoru Suzuki, Taichi & Zack Saber Jr. on Sunday. Murdoch earned the title shot by winning a battle royal on last night's Powerrr. Nick Aldis will defend his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against...Trevor Murdoch. That'll happen at the next NWA pay per view “When Our Shadows Fall”...coming up on June 6th. Murdoch earned the title shot by winning a battle royal on last night's Powerrr. Aldis' cohort Chris Adonis relinquished the NWA National Title so he could enter the battle royal - but he ended up being the last man eliminated by Murdoch. The heavily hyped showdown between Thunder Rosa and Kamille...ended in a draw. So, that's good news for Rosa. The result means she can continue to wrestle outside the NWA. BUT we still do not have a #1 contender for Serena Deeb's Women's Championship. Aron Stevens & Kratos beat Jax Dane & Crimson to retain their NWA Tag Titles after a mystery man attacked Crimson. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor unveiled the field and the brackets for its upcoming Survival Of The Fittest tournament. The first-round matches on the left side of the bracket are: Rey Horus vs. Flamita...Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper...and Bandido vs. Bateman. On the right side of the bracket, the first-round matches are: Brian Johnson vs. Sledge...Chris Dickinson vs. O'Shay Edwards...and Danhausen vs. Rhett Titus. The winners all advance to a 6-Way Elimination Match...and the winner gets a shot at the ROH World Championship. The tournament begins in two weeks. (STINGER: AEW) The simmering issues between Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss may be coming to a head. Kiss was beaten by Brian Cage in the main event of last night's AEW Dark. After the match, Hook beat up Kiss some more. Janela did not intervene. He just stared blankly for a bit and then walked away. Earlier, Janela pinned Bear Bronson with an elbow drop from the top rope. Also on the show...Big Swole & KiLynn King beat The Bunny & Madi Wrenkowski. Also promoted for tonight's show - Toni Storm vs. Zoey Stark...a sitdown interview with Pete Dunne...and Ted DiBiase appearing in-person in the Capitol Wrestling Center. The WWE Champion Bobby Lashley issued an open challenge for the main event of last night's Raw. It was answered by...Kofi Kingston. MVP then clarified that the match would NOT be for the WWE Championship. And it's a good thing for Lashley that it wasn't...because Drew McIntyre got involved and Kingston got a pinfall win over Lashley. That was the second match of the night for Kingston. He also rolled up Randy Orton for the pin and the win...after a trombone-playing distraction performed by Xavier Woods. The New WWE Women's Tag Champs Natalya and Tamina defended their titles against the former champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Alexa Bliss walked out on stage. Fire erupted from the ring posts. The force of the blast knocked over Reginald at ringside. And the brief distraction gave Natalya and Tamina an opening to hit the Hart Attack for the win. John Morrison was on Raw and appeared to be fine after his run-in with the zombies Sunday night. Unfortunately, it appears no one has heard from The Miz since he was dogpiled by the zombie lumberjacks Sunday night. Getting back to Morrison, he met Damian Priest in another Lumberjack Match - this time with just plain old wrestlers surrounding the ring. Priest Hit The Lights to pin Morrison. Also last night...a timely distraction from Rhea Ripley helped Asuka score a rollup win on Charlotte Flair. The United States Champion Sheamus pinned Ricochet with a pair of Brogue Kicks. Angel Garza beat Drew Gulak...again. And then, he shoved a rose down Gulak's throat. And...Akira Tozawa snuck up and rolled up R-Truth to win the 24/7 Title. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Women's Champ Hikaru Shida will be in action on Wednesday's Dynamite. AEW announced Monday she'll have a non-title match against Rebel. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Lance Archer beat Bear Bronson and formally declared he wants a shot at the new TNT Champion Miro. Private Party beat Dark Order's Alex Reynolds and Alan “5” Angels after Matt Hardy hit a Twist Of Fate on Reynolds. Also, The Bunny pinned KiLynn King. Kip Sabian tweeted Monday that he underwent successful shoulder surgery. Ricky Starks shared some new details on his neck injury. In a Facebook post, he said he fractured his cervical. He said he won't need surgery. He's expected to be out of action for at least three months. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor will welcome back live fans at its next pay per view - Best In The World. That's.coming up on Sunday, July 11th...and it'll be held at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore. On this past weekend's ROH TV...Shane Taylor Promotions beat Primal Fear to retain their ROH 6-Man Titles. Silas Young pinned Josh Woods with his feet on the ropes. And a 15-Man Battle Royal ended with Joe Keys and LSG as the last two men in the ring. They will meet one-on-one somewhere down the road...and the winner will get a spot in his choice of the TV Title or Pure Title rankings. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced Monday it will resume live events on Saturday...with a show in Nagoya. That will be followed by three straight dates in Korakuen Hall...on May 24, 25 & 26th. (STINGER: AEW) AEW is just weeks away from its first live touring since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It announced dates and locations for three upcoming Dynamites - the first to be held away from Jacksonville's Daily's Place in NINE months. Dynamite will be at Miami's James L. Knight Center on July 7th...followed by two Wednesdays in Texas - July 14th at the H-E-B Center near Austin...and July 21st at the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Tickets for all three shows go on sale Friday morning. AEW says it will comply with all local guidelines concerning COVID-19 safety - that includes seating capacities. AEW also announced a pair of rescheduled live events. First, in St. Louis on FRIDAY, November 5th. That's being called an “AEW TNT television taping”. Also, a live Dynamite in New Orleans on January 12, 2022! We'll get another look at former Lucha Underground Champion Marty Casaus on tonight's AEW Dark. He'll go one-on-one with Jungle Boy. Also tonight, Brian Cage vs. Bear Bronson. Plus, Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston will be in tag team action. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Moxley delivered a Paradigm Shift from the second rope to pin Danny Limelight. Dark Order's Alex Reynolds pinned Private Party's Isiah Kassidy with a rollup. After the match, Matt Hardy and Marq Quen helped Kassidy lay out Reynolds, John Silver and Colt Cabana. Also, Pro wrestling lawyer Mark Sterling pitched himself as the one to manage Jade Cargill, and she was at least willing to listen as she followed Sterling backstage. (STINGER: WWE) TWO title matches on tonight's NXT. Raquel Gonzalez defends her NXT Women's Title against Mercedes Martinez. Santos Escobar gets his rematch for Kushida's Cruiserweight Title. It's Two Out Of Three Falls. Plus, NXT Champ Karrion Kross in a non-title match against Austin Theory...and Killian Dane vs. Imperium's Alexander Wolfe. A new match added to WrestleMania Backlash - The Miz vs. Damien Priest in a Lumberjack Match. Damian Priest pinned John Morrison on last night's Raw...after The Miz's attempt to help Morrison backfired. The gave Priest the right to choose the stipulation for the Backlash match. Raw Women's Champ Rhea Ripley pinned Asuka last night in a non-title match...as Charlotte Flair looked on. Those women will be in a 3-Way for the title at Backlash. Charlotte and Asuka were also on opposite sides of a 6-Woman tag to open the show. It was brought to a screeching halt when Alexa Bliss suddenly appeared on-stage - riding her swing set...alongside Lilly. Bliss said she's keeping her eye on “someone”. The match resumed...but then, Shayna Baszler appeared to lose control of her legs. Asuka swooped in with a shining wizard to get the pin. Charlotte knocked out Asuka after the match. Alexa and Lilly chuckled as they looked on. End scene. An ugly ending to a match between Sheamus and Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo was delivering a sunset flip powerbomb from the apron to the arena floor, but Sheamus landed on Carrillo's left leg. The ref waved off the match and declared Sheamus the winner. A win for Carrillo would've earned him a shot at Sheamus' U.S. Title. The main event was a non-title match between WWE Champ Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. But Braun Strowman interfered and power slammed BOTH men as the show ended. Jinder Mahal returned to Raw with a win over Jeff Hardy. Shelton Benjamin pinned Cedric Alexander with a T-Bone Suplex. Also, the team of R-K-Bro and Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston beat AJ Styles, Omos, Elias and Jaxson Ryker. Randy Orton pinned Elias with an RKO. After the match, Orton RKO'd Woods and Kingston. Riddle was befuddled. (STINGER: ROH) On this past weekend's Ring Of Honor TV, Angelina Love beat Quinn McKay, thanks to a timely distraction by Mandy Leon. EC3 & Flip Gordon beat The Briscoes. EC3 pinned Mark Briscoe after Gordon hit Mark with a chain. But EC3 never saw Flip's cheating. And Brian Johnson's open challenge was answered by...PCO. Johnson kicked out of PCO's moonsault...but he later beat Johnson via submission. The NWA Tag Team Titles will be defended tonight on Super Powerrr. Aron Stevens and Kratos facing a challenge from Thom Lattimer and Chris Adonis.
