As this podcast goes to air, we've moved through the Full Moon energies and now the Moon is in the waning phase, helping you to release the old energies.  Every month, we have the opportunity to release and cut the cords. This past full moon was about moving forward and not allowing yourself to go back to areas in your life that you have healed. Sometimes, we can keep returning to these wounds even though we have worked on ourselves.  I have found that sometimes this  can happen due to past life issues that trigger us in this life, which keeps the wounds coming up. My Soul.Work online Intuitive Path program can help you with this. Registration is now open. In this program, I will guide you through the Akashic Realm, showing you ways to connect to your Akashic Records and your Guides and uncover past lives that keep you stuck in these wounds.  All you need is some intuitive understanding.  If you have other spiritual tools like Reiki, Angel work, or Mediumship, this class is for you! We will learn how to access all the tools in this higher dimension.   The course begins in January.  As an early enrollment bonus, I will offer a  masterclass in Intutive Development on Dec 13th to prepare you for the class and build your confidence.  Join now and get the bonuses and teachings that are already available in the program. Not sure if this is for you or how I teach?  I'll be offering my masterclass on connecting with your guides, angel, and higher self on Sunday, Dec 10th at 10amCT.  Click here to register. In today's episode, I had the most delightful conversation with my guest, Angela Wix, about the energy of Calm.  Her book, "Finding Your Calm" brings together so many great and different ways of calming yourself down.  Her book is a compilation of several great authors offering their perspectives on finding calm, many of whom have been on the show. There are chapters about sleep, yoga, meditation, the Vagus Nerve, astrology, chakras, eft, ASMR, and the amplifying joy and gratitude. Angela A. Wix was formerly an acquiring editor at Llewellyn Worldwide for nearly 12 years and is currently an editor for books on personal transformation, wellness, and spirituality at Sounds True. She is also an artist and author; some of her works include Llewellyn's Little Book of Unicorns, The Secret Psychic, and Finding Your Calm. Feeling engulfed by the whirlwind of motherhood? On the brink of giving in to the temptation of unhealthy coping mechanisms? I promise there's a calmer way to navigate this chaos and my enlightening chat with Sterling Jaquith, author of Catholic Mom Calm – Six Steps to Calm the Chaos in Everyday Life, reveals it. In a world where we're incessantly bombarded with noise and unrealistic expectations amplified by social media, feelings of isolation can easily creep in. Sterling highlights this concerning trend and invites us to challenge the idea that we need more willpower to cope. Instead, we delve into practical strategies for creating pockets of calm within our hectic lives and understanding that acknowledging the reality of our circumstances can instill hope rather than despair. Sterling shares practical advice on validating our emotions, setting boundaries, and nurturing self-compassion, offering us a lifeline amid the turbulent seas of motherhood. But there's more to our conversation than just coping strategies. Sterling also sheds light on the importance of creating community and connection within our parishes, mainly by fostering a culture of staying after Mass - which I wholeheartedly agree with. In today's Meditation, Rohan reflects on the theme of creating calm, inside and out. Please join us in applying some simple practices to help balance our outer and inner worlds. This year, we're again marking Mental Health Awareness Month, an important campaign started by Mental Health America all the way back in 1949. The position of mental health and mental illness in our cultures has changed so much in those seventy odd years, but despite that change there still remains issues such as stigma, access to care and finding the right kind of support at the right time. Today's meditation originates from the theme of this year's campaign, Look Around, Look Within. For more information on this year's Mental Health Awareness Month campaign, Look Around, Look Within, please visit Mental Health America's website: https://mhanational.orgTools and resources for organizations, businesses and individuals: https://mhanational.org/mental-health-monthWe'd love to hear your tips and insights for creating harmony between our external and internal environments. Please send your thoughts to hello@meditativestory.com. The Childhood Collective 4/19/2023 SUMMARY When you have a child with ADHD, navigating school accommodations and understanding the educational team can be overwhelming! Whether it's a question of the evaluation process or eligibility, it can be confusing, and finding accurate information is key. We're here to help! In this episode, we speak with school psychologist Monique Hayes, NCSP, to discuss how to prepare for school meetings, what to expect, and possible outcomes.  MEET MONIQUE Monique is a wife, a mother of three young kids, and school psychologist practitioner. Monique has her education specialist degree in school psychology, and she is a nationally certified school psychologist. Monique shares that she struggles to sit still, enjoys starting (starting) DIY projects around the house, and loves traveling… she has even braved international travel with her three young kids! And we know many of you can relate… Monique has ADHD herself and is raising a child with ADHD. If you've taken our online course Creating Calm, you may recognize Monique because she is one of our parent models! AFFILIATE INFORMATION We can't have your attention and not mention Time Timer.
