Why Arianna Jones' Date Kept Driving To The Desert

Before Domonic Rodolico knocked on Arianna Jones' door for their first date, his phone had already been pinging in a remote desert area near Lake Pleasant, Arizona. Multiple times. He lingered for twenty-five minutes on one trip. Investigators would later find concrete bags, latex gloves, and burial equipment at the same spot where cadaver dogs discovered Arianna's remains on July 11 — alongside two Harkins movie theater souvenir cups from the date she didn't survive.Arianna Bailey Jones was twenty-one and a mother of a two-year-old son. She'd spent her childhood in foster care and had only reunited with her biological mother three years earlier. She was doing the thing she'd always wanted — building a family. On July 5, she went to the movies with a guy she met on Snapchat. Her phone went dark in the desert forty-five minutes after the movie ended. Rodolico's phone left the area ten minutes later. When arrested, Rodolico told police a story about two masked attackers. Then changed it. Then admitted it wasn't true. He offered a third version he couldn't explain. The affidavit says he showed no remorse and seemed to think this was just a missing person case. He's charged with first-degree premeditated murder, held on two million dollars bond, and denies any involvement. Arianna's mother is calling for the death penalty. This is the full case — first time we're bringing it to you.End LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this Rewind episode, listen as Dr. David J. Johns discusses voting and our rights under attack. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is gone. Not weakened. Not under threat. Gone. The legal architecture that turned 7% Black voter registration in Mississippi into 60%—dismantled, decision by decision, by a Supreme Court that was never neutral and was never on our side. But that's not even the whole story. Because while the courts were killing the VRA, the Justice Department was being turned into a weapon. FBI agents raided a Black state senator's office mid-day—Fox News already on the scene—while allies under federal investigation had their evidence destroyed. Ballots from Fulton County are in federal custody. Arizona. Michigan. They are building the architecture of election interference before the midterms. In public. And most people don't even know it's happening. This episode is about all of it. The Proud Boys as a militia. The Roberts Court as an antidemocratic enforcement mechanism. The Southern Strategy, sixty years old and running on steroids. And the organizing tradition—Ella Baker, Bayard Rustin, Hungary's opposition movement—that proves rigged maps can be beaten and stolen futures can be reclaimed. This is the class I didn't want to have to teach. But you need it. Pull up.SHOW NOTESThe death of the Voting Rights Act—Shelby County v. Holder (2013), Brnovich v. DNC (2021), and the April 29, 2026 ruling in Louisiana v. Munaf Manji and Dave Essler talk betting for Monday. Munaf Manji and Dave Essler open the month of August by reacting to the biggest move of trade deadline day before working through a full Monday baseball card and unveiling their next NFL win total on the Houston Texans. At 00:00 Munaf sets the stage for a busy trade deadline session, and at 01:53 the pair discusses Tarik Skubal moving from the Detroit Tigers to the Los Angeles Dodgers, a trade that pushed Los Angeles' World Series odds from roughly plus 175 down to plus 150. At 02:39 they preview the Nationals hosting the Phillies, where Trevor Williams starts opposite Aaron Nola just after Philadelphia added Luis Arraez to play second base, with Dave leaning toward the Nationals team total over three and a half runs given Nola's bloated recent numbers and Munaf backing the same direction with a strong seasonal over trend for Washington. At 06:37 they turn to the Cardinals visiting the Yankees, where Michael McGreevy faces Cam Schlittler, with both hosts leaning toward the under given New York's heavy favorite price and Schlittler's strong road splits. At 09:48 they cover the Pirates at the Brewers, with Bubba Chandler opposing Brandon Sproat, both hosts landing on the Pittsburgh team total over given Sproat's control issues. At 13:13 they preview the Dodgers at the Cubs, Justin Wrobleski against Matthew Boyd, with Dave taking Chicago at plus money and Munaf citing a profitable trend fading teams on the road the day after Sunday night baseball. At 16:30 they break down the Padres at the Diamondbacks, Michael King against Brandon Pfaadt, with Dave siding with Arizona at a cheap price while Munaf prefers San Diego given King's strong history against this opponent. At 20:17 they run through quick hits on the Giants at the Rangers, the Blue Jays at the Astros with Shane Bieber and Cristian Javier, and the Rays at the Rockies with Ian Seymour and Michael Lorenzen, flagging Colorado's hot home scoring trend. At 23:07 the conversation shifts to football, where Munaf and Dave unveil the Houston Texans win total of nine and a half, discussing a defense built around Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, Derek Stingley Jr., Reed Blankenship, and the returning Jadeveon Clowney, along with questions about the offensive line protecting C.J. Stroud and the additions of David Montgomery and Woody Marks in the backfield, ultimately landing on the over. At 31:41 Munaf shares a promo code for Pregame.com, RBI50, good for fifty dollars off the Major League Baseball second half all access package through the World Series. The episode closes at 33:03 with best bets, Dave taking the Washington Nationals team total over three and a half runs and Munaf going with the Rays and Rockies first five innings over six, wrapping a trade deadline day that reshaped several rosters and a season-opening look at one of the league's most anticipated teams heading into the fall. What I Bet - Monday August 3rd

Griffin Warner talks betting for Monday. Trade deadline day arrives in the middle of a full Major League Baseball slate, and Griffin Warner spends this episode walking through every game on the board while the deadline itself keeps shifting the ground under several starting pitchers. He opens by noting that the Washington Nationals had already begun trading away pieces in the days before, a familiar pattern for a club that has repeatedly sold off talent once a playoff push stops looking realistic, and that the San Diego Padres spent the weekend as one of the league's biggest question marks, with starter Michael King's turn in the rotation pushed from Sunday to Monday amid persistent trade speculation. At 02:00 Griffin opens with the St. Louis Cardinals traveling to face the New York Yankees, where Michael McGreevy starts on the road opposite Cam Schlittler, New York opening as a minus 193 favorite with St. Louis getting plus 174 and the total sitting at seven and a half at even money in both directions. He questions whether McGreevy's soft contact approach can hold up in a small ballpark and leans to the under on the full game and the first five innings. At 03:17 the card shifts to Pittsburgh, where Pirates prospect Bubba Chandler starts on the road against a Milwaukee Brewers club still working with the return from trading ace Freddy Peralta, whose rights moved again to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, and Griffin says the plus 125 underdog price on Chandler is not enough for him while he leans the total toward the over given his doubts about Pittsburgh's bullpen. At 04:02 he covers the Los Angeles Dodgers sending Justin Wrobleski to Chicago to face Matthew Boyd and the Cubs, liking the plus 116 home underdog price on Boyd given the travel the Dodgers faced after Sunday night baseball. At 04:48 he previews Logan Webb and the San Francisco Giants on the road against Cal Quantrill and the Texas Rangers in Arlington, saying he does not trust San Francisco as a minus 107 road favorite and would only get involved if the Giants were available as an underdog with plus money. At 05:49 he breaks down Shane Bieber and the Toronto Blue Jays traveling to face Cristian Javier and the Houston Astros, noting that Bieber himself could be traded before the deadline closes and calling the minus 129 price on Houston a little cheap given how well Javier has pitched out of the bullpen. At 06:19 he covers the Tampa Bay Rays sending Ian Seymour to Colorado to face Michael Lorenzen and the Rockies, expecting Colorado to score plenty while staying away from the over given his concerns about the Rays bullpen holding up its end. At 06:49 he closes the game breakdown with the Padres traveling to Arizona, where Brandon Pfaadt is a minus 110 favorite for the Diamondbacks, saying that price seems cheap and that he leans toward the over on the total and toward Arizona at home, especially if Michael King is unavailable to start for San Diego. At 08:06 Griffin directs listeners to Pregame.com and promo code HIT50 for fifty dollars off his Major League Baseball second half all access package, discounted from three hundred forty nine dollars to two hundred ninety nine dollars for the rest of the season through the World Series, noting the package has been up twenty four units during the current promotional window and has run north of thirty units at points this season. He wraps the episode at 09:07 with his best bet, acknowledging a loss last time out on Cleveland against Arizona before landing on Houston Astros minus 129 over the Toronto Blue Jays as the play he trusts most on a trade deadline day card shaped as much by roster uncertainty as by the numbers themselves. This week begins our Worthy Endeavors series with a simple but searching question: are we truly living, or merely existing? In a culture that constantly pulls us toward busyness, distraction, and superficial success, Jesus invites us into the abundant life found in abiding with Him. Biblical health is more than spiritual activity or outward productivity. It is becoming whole people whose lives are rooted in Christ and bear lasting fruit. As we learn to honestly examine our lives, cultivate practices that keep us close to God, and faithfully steward every area He has entrusted to us, we discover that a life spent pursuing what matters to God is a life of lasting significance.

Interview with Drew Clark, President and CEO, Summit RoyaltiesOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/summit-royalties-tsxvsum-targets-15m-revenue-run-rate-with-new-gold-streams-by-2028-10897Recording date: 28th July 2026Summit Royalties has added a new financing tool to a growth strategy that, until now, has relied almost entirely on equity. On July 27, the company announced a credit agreement with National Bank of Canada for a revolving facility with an initial US$25 million commitment, alongside an accordion feature providing for an additional US$25 million on the same terms — for total potential availability of US$50 million. The facility carries a three-year initial tenor, interest priced off SOFR or CORRA plus a leverage-dependent spread of 2.50% to 4.00%, and standard covenants including net leverage, interest coverage, and minimum liquidity requirements.Speaking to Crux Investor's Matt Gordon the day after the announcement, President and CEO Drew Clark was direct about what the debt is for and, just as importantly, what it isn't for. Summit's stated discipline is to use debt only against assets that will generate cash flow within three to five years — a narrower standard than the one that has applied to some of Summit's equity-funded acquisitions, including its recently closed purchase of Star Royalties, which added the Copperstone gold stream in Arizona to Summit's portfolio.Clark also used the interview to correct an earlier public framing of Summit's acquisition discipline. He clarified that roughly $250 million worth of transactions were rejected because Summit's own bids came in below sellers' clearing prices — for example, bidding $65 million on an asset that ultimately cleared at $80 million — rather than Summit walking away from opportunities that met its criteria. It's a useful clarification for investors trying to gauge how aggressively management is actually competing for assets versus how selectively it is declining them.On current market conditions, Clark described deal-making as comparatively easier than during the recent gold price peak, since the gap between long-term and spot pricing has narrowed. He flagged tungsten streams as a specific area of emerging opportunity alongside Summit's core precious metals focus, and noted that Summit is evaluating opportunities as both an acquirer and a potential acquisition target within the sector's ongoing consolidation. The most concrete disclosure for investors may be management's own valuation framework. Clark said the internal belief is that once Summit's revenue reaches somewhere between $20 million and $30 million annually, the company should re-rate toward 1 to 1.2 times NAV — in line with royalty peers — and toward 15-20 times revenue, versus a current multiple he characterised as below 10 times and a NAV multiple around 0.6 times. Management continues to target a production run rate of roughly 4,000 gold-equivalent ounces by the end of 2028 as the operational catalyst behind that thesis.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/summit-royaltiesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Other states provide benchmarks, including California's $5 million insurance requirement and reporting rules, Arizona's executive order framework, and Pennsylvania's 2022 law enabling driverless operations under oversight. NHTSA's standing crash reporting order and potential exemptions shape federal expectations for automated driving deployments. Delaware's Personal Data Privacy Act, effective January 1, 2025, adds data governance obligations for pilots. A Hedge Fund Blowup, the Downtown Tucson Shooting, and Why We Plan for Lifestyle Instead of Retirement

Money Matters Radio Podcast with Dean Greenberg

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 3, 2026 96:31

In this episode of Money Matters, brought to you by The Greenberg Financial Group, we unpack one of the strangest weeks the market has handed us in a while. The Dow dropped 1,000 points on Wednesday and took it all back over the next two days, and if you only checked your account on Friday you would think nothing happened at all. The Fed got the blame in the headlines, but the real story was a 25 year old former OpenAI employee whose hedge fund was up roughly 1,500% in two years, ran four times leverage into the memory and data center trade, and got picked apart by other funds once his book became visible. A $40 billion valuation became an $8 billion sale to Citadel. We walk through how forced selling moves an entire market, and why the lesson is not about being right but about staying solvent long enough to find out. Dean opens the show on volatility and why selling into weakness leaves you with the hardest question in investing, which is when you plan to get back in. He also lays out something that separates how we work from most firms. We do not plan for your retirement. We plan for your lifestyle changes, whether that means a $40,000 family vacation every year, a remodel, more travel, or simply never stopping work at all. He walks through what that planning actually covers, from Social Security timing to Medicare costs to how much you can spend each year without running out, and why we hand you the completed plan for free whether or not you ever do business with us. We also get into the capital expenditure fear that has dominated the tape. Meta's free cash flow collapsed and the stock got clobbered 10% despite revenue up 28%. Google went negative on free cash flow for the first time in its history. Then Amazon reported and its CEO talked openly about the profitability of data centers, and suddenly Google popped 7% on Friday. Every hyperscaler CEO is saying go, and investors keep saying stop, which means somebody is wrong. We look at Apple's 9% drop on a memory shortage that is now showing up in laptop and iPad prices, Microsoft's 24.6% month, the buyback restriction lifting at the end of 2026, and why the 30 year Treasury at a 19 year high and mortgage rates at 6.66% may matter more to this market than any earnings report. The second hour takes a different turn. Dean brings in attorney Mike Story, who represents Tucson police officers through their unions and responded at 2:30 in the morning to the mass shooting outside Empire Pizza in downtown Tucson. Mike walks through what actually happened that night, why a single shot from a seven year veteran ended the threat without endangering the crowd behind the gunman, and the question that officer asked him first. Am I going to prison for this. We talk about the shooter's prior gun offense, how that case was handled, what a 30% smaller police force means for a downtown everybody says they want to save, and what it would take to bring it back. We close with SpaceX heading into its first earnings report and the insider lockup expiring days later with 35% of the float sold short, energy leading all S&P sectors with XLE up 35% on the year, an options based income strategy that Todd and Dylan have been researching directly with the portfolio managers for its 60/40 tax treatment, and why Trump accounts may be the most powerful generational wealth tool available to a grandparent right now. Plus a Tucson fun fact about how the University of Arizona ended up here in 1885 because our representative showed up late. From there, the panel examines what these elections reveal about independent voters, the future of third-party politics, and whether America's political middle is becoming increasingly difficult to find. The discussion then expands to national and international politics, covering everything from the rise of Democratic Socialism and the continued influence of Donald Trump to America's role in the Iran conflict and the political shifts taking place across Europe. Throughout the episode, the panel asks one central question:Can the political center survive, or are voters being pushed further toward the extremes? In this episode:Arizona's 2026 primary election resultsThe future of independent and third-party candidatesThe rise of Democratic Socialism and its impact on DemocratsTrump's influence on the Republican PartyIndependent voters and the battle for the political middleThe Iran conflict and America's foreign policyPolitical lessons from Europe and the rest of the world

This week's lead story is the Nancy Guthrie investigation, where Sheriff Chris Nanos says testing of a hair recovered from her Arizona home did not point to a suspect and a separate DNA mixture involving as many as four people remains under examination by laboratories across the country. The forensic update follows Savannah Guthrie's new video asking whoever took her mother to tell the family where to look, language that may be intended to reach an accomplice or somebody with partial knowledge as well as the principal offender. We also cover the life-without-parole sentence for Colt Gray and the 15-year sentence for his father in the Apalachee High School case, the opening testimony in Lindsay Clancy's Massachusetts murder trial and the British conviction of Johannes Kongsnes Natland in an international murder-for-hire plan. The behavioral focus throughout is on preparation, access, communication, control and the difference between confirmed evidence and reasonable inference.#TrueCrime #CrimeNews #NancyGuthrie #SavannahGuthrie #CatalinaFoothills #Tucson #Arizona #ColtGray #ColinGray #RichardAspinwall #CristinaIrimie #MasonSchermerhorn #ChristianAngulo #Winder #Georgia #BarrowCounty #LindsayClancy #CoraClancy #DawsonClancy #CallanClancy #Duxbury #Plymouth #Massachusetts #JohannesNatland #Huddersfield #London #England #Iran #UnitedKingdom #Norway #SchoolShooting #MissingPerson #Kidnapping #Murder #Court========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

This week, in Congress, Arizona, a very disturbed man, from a crazy background moves into a desert area, from out of town. He makes some friends, but his weirdness, and severe bouts of drunkeness seem to keep the other desert dwellers on their toes. After one of the residents is killed in her trailer, a bumbling, and inept initial investigation ruins key evidence, and almost screws up the whole case. Luckily, the disturbed newcomer has a sordid, and horrible tale to tell!!   Along the way, we find out that some people are desperate for goat milk soap, that when a strange person moves next to you, in the middle of the desert, they're probably as strange as they seemed, and that trying to murder another person, in jail, after you've already been charged with murder, is not the best way to claim innocence!!   New episodes, every Wednesday & Friday nights!!
