The struggles of life can indeed pull us down. Buried deep in the ashes of despair. Clouding our sight with its troubles. But there is a cry for more. A cry to push beyond. To bounce back and touch joy. To run to the light cause it's waiting. God is calling with His arms wide open. He wants to show you the way. ‘To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning… that He may be glorified.' – Isaiah 61 vs 3 (NKJV) Let the old die, so the new can live.

In this episode of 'Be Unmessablewith the Podcast', Josselyne Herman-Saccio explores the importance of having a clear vision and how to identify and overcome obstacles that cloud our understanding of what we truly want in life. Ditch the Suits - Financial, Investment, & Retirement Planning
In this episode, Steve and Travis discuss how politics can cloud financial decision-making. They highlight the confusion caused by mixing social issues with complex economic topics and the prevalence of salespeople impersonating fiduciaries. They also explore the impact of numbers like GDP, national debt, and monetary supply on personal finances. Together they emphasize the importance of understanding these numbers in context and how they relate to individual decision-making. They conclude that while politicians and policies can affect financial well-being, personal decisions play a significant role in financial outcomes.______________________________________________________________Looking for additional content that can help you get the most from your life? Last week's State of the Union was a big topic of discussion in the political world, and the media has been anything but shy when it comes to dishing out opinions. But how much are people allowing their biases to impact their responses? In this episode, Trey dissects this question and explains why critiques are only useful when rooted in honesty. Later, he shares what he took away from the end of the LSU South Carolina SEC Championship Game. Follow Trey on Twitter: @TGowdySC Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A cataract is a cloudy area in the lens of your eye (the clear part of the eye that helps to focus light). Cataracts are very common as you get older. In fact, more than half of all Americans age 80 or older either have cataracts or have had surgery to get rid of cataracts. Clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. Most cataracts develop slowly over the course of years. The main symptom is blurry vision. Having cataracts can be like looking through a cloudy window. When a cataract interferes with someone's usual activities, the cloudy lens can be replaced with a clear, artificial lens. This is generally a safe, outpatient procedure.

The recent attacks in Israel are a reminder that geopolitical events can happen at any time, but when it comes to global investing, it's often the big picture that tells the real story. Jeff Kleintop, Schwab's chief global investment strategist, joins Mike Townsend to assess the ever-present nature of geopolitical risks that can have far-reaching impact in today's interconnected economy.Mike and Jeff also dive into the headline issues that are affecting China's economy, including the troubles with its largest property developers, and explore the renewed efforts in Washington to improve U.S.-China relations. They also discuss whether Europe is turning the corner and why Japan is seeing its best stock market performance in decades. They zoom out to see beyond the short term and look at where opportunities for investors may be emerging. Mike also addresses the latest news from Washington, where chaos in the House of Representatives is increasing worries about a government shutdown in November and imperiling the broader policy agenda.WashingtonWise is an original podcast for investors from Charles Schwab. I really believe that if you and I knew how deeply we've always been loved… we'd cry happy tears daily for at least a year. I also believe that the reason why we don't know how much we're loved is because of our own critical self-judgment of our past and present. Ironically, we came to this Garden of Eden to learn (and play), yet when a lesson presents itself we're often bitterly disappointed! Clouding our vision, lowering our spirits, and blinding us to all that still awaits discovery. At least that's how it used to be... Today, we turn a new page, and you will LOVE the lessons I'm about to share (almost as much as you will love yourself by the time I'm done). Here, in this quiet and empty spot, only the waves can be heard, as they break sedately, upon the rocks. The waves and the velvety silence that seems to press in between them as their gentle energy is dispersed. The tree, to which the microphones are attached, and all the boulders from up which it grows, and the 18th century fort behind and to the left of the scene, remain entirely invisible to the listening ear. Or do they? Witnessing this piece of time, where nobody came, and nobody was. Hearing it, because it is a real place, the spot beneath the tree. In full spatial detail. The way the waves move, the way the silence is always there, like the backdrop of the night sky. Clouding over, with swirls of pale white noise, then clean black, and clear again. Everything, that when heard binaurally, forms a spatial image, shaped and contoured in our auditory brains by the reflective properties of the tree, the boulders and the huge stone parapet walls of the fort. Without these contouring influences, the waves would not make the sound they do By finding a quiet spot to listen, and putting a pair of headphones on, we can, without our physical bodies having interfered in any way at all, put ourselves into the real sound feel of this place. This place, that place, as it was, and is still there, now. * We went back to Nothe Fort in Weymouth at the start of April and made another overnight recording. The landscape around the tree emits a strong sense of quiet, and has become an enchanted spot for us. This section is from midnight. There was a clear sky and a full moon. The waves and the rocks sound different to when we recorded in 2022. Aural evidence of the world, subtly changing.

Dear Steve and Shirley, I am a 43 year old single mom of two. For the past year, I have been seeing a nice 43 year old gentleman that I've met on the Plenty Of Fish dating site. When we met, I told him that I was ready for a relationship not just to hook up for sex. He said let's see where it goes. Two weeks later after talking on the phone we finally met up and we ended up having sex that first night. Darn it Steve, it was so good that I could not stop. We continued to have sex at least once a week and he started staying overnight at my house....... See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
You had your own divorce experience and felt called to become a professional divorce coach to support others through the process so they could have what you needed. We applaud you for wanting to make divorce different for others. But in this week's episode, we are telling a cautionary tale to remind everyone of the importance of coaching from our scar, and not from our wound. When coaches aren't able to set aside their own personal divorce experience, it's much more likely they will hear the client through their personal filter and step out of neutrality. We begin to hear phrases like "you should" that indicate the coach is putting on their superhero cape and trying to save the client rather than asking the curious questions that allow the client to self-discover.We're inviting you this week to reflect, to look closely in the mirror, and examine if there is anything clouding your vision. Do you find yourself having strong emotional reactions or getting triggered? Do you hear yourself making recommendations instead of asking questions? Are you feeling the urge to save your client from making a mistake that you made? Are you making assumptions about their spouse or their situation based on your experience? If so, we encourage you to spend some time processing that and identifying where you might still need to do some healing. We also encourage you to join our Case Consultation & Mastermind Group - it's a safe space for you to get feedback to explore if your vision is clear or cloudy. Absolutely, use your divorce experience - it adds great value to your coaching practice. Just be sure your wound is healed so you don't bleed on your clients. You can learn more about DCA™ or find out about any of the classes or events mentioned in this episode at the links below:Website: www.divorcecoachesacademy.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/divorcecoachesacademyLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/divorce-coaches-academyEmail: DCA@divorcecoachesacademy.com

For this week's What's New(s) we started with where we left last time: France, where the freshly appointed government has found itself embroiled in a controversy after allegations of rape by solidarity minister Damien Abad came to light. Besides, a focus on the first war crime trial in Ukraine. How did European media describe this extremely unusual trial, held while the war is still raging?

Jill Malandrino highlights how commodity price moves could mean that inflation is likely going to stay higher for longer. She says the Fed is not going to get the tailwind from supply chains normalizing, as well as the pandemic fading, as we initially thought. The majority of companies seem to be seeing slower earnings growth compared to last year, which is adding to overall market weakness.

Are you extremely worried about vanity metrics? Think again! Many people on social media are extremely worried about vanity metrics such as Likes, Comments, Views, Shares, and Recommendations. Here's the thing. None of these metrics have a direct correlation to your business in entrepreneurship and business. These metrics correlate to exposure and awareness you create in the social media space that can potentially...potentially create an introduction to someone else. Relationships! You're always one relationship away from changing your life and business. You could get thousands of views on a post (I have on Instagram and YouTube Shorts) and none of them correlate to even a conversation or a comment. The social media space is more saturated than ever and many people feel like they're watching the same sh*t over and over again. Differentiating yourself is difficult, not impossible. On this episode of the podcast, I talk about ways that I've differentiated myself with no reliance on vanity metrics to help me generate thousands, tens of thousands of dollars in revenue. Tune in if you're looking to jump to the next level with proven strategies and tactics. No fluff! NOTE: Make sure to tune in for the special Christmas Eve episode that will include an amazing story from a local entrepreneur.

This episode is a continuation of my animated conversation with Professor J.-C. Spender, a nuclear engineer-turned-business school professor, author, expert on the history of business education, and former executive and business school dean.At the onset of episode #30 I asked Dr. Spender if getting an MBA degree would provide what's needed if someone wanted to efficiently manage a healthcare organization. His response was YES. But he added “that's a kind of modified and slightly tangled yes.” What I heard was “No.” Take a listen and see what you think. Professor Spender's contrarian penchant is delightful and provocative. He offers no instant gratification: no conversational closure rewarding me with a satisfying hit of dopamine. No schmoozy cooperation providing a squirt of oxytocin. The effect of this professor's conversational style is attention—what IS he saying? How does this comment jive with that last one? Where are we headed?! He paints a bleak picture when it comes to the management training or even the management potential of someone who has been awarded an MBA degree. Non-partisan in his criticism, he also deemed my assertion that physicians must lead healthcare as “a misdiagnosis.” And what did I hear with that? I heard that Dr. Spender's primary interest is spotlighting the “multiplicity, the plurality of conversations, that is the fundamental challenge for leadership.” Agreed. When it comes to leadership and management he would have us attend to:•The history of business education--from whence the “bullshit” came•Practice (experience) vs. principles (rules)—and the true crucible of leadership when principles don't serve us•Uncertainty as the state which drives the engine of business•The fundamental ethical problem of business: monetizing someone else's imagination to serve oneself•The lack of conversation in business school about human beings' capacity for imagination—yet it is imagination which produces an organization's valueIn this episode:•The balanced scorecard—developed as a remedy to the dominance of finance during board-level strategic conversations•Business geniuses are those who flourish in business as an “artistic medium”•The demise in popularity of managerial accounting and the ascendancy of financial accounting•Clouding true intentions by invoking “trust” when monetization to satisfy shareholder demands is the business objective •Economic discourse as an arena that is incapable of creating new economic value •Tacit knowledge is knowledge derived more from practice than from principle•Racism and oppression as actions to silence the language of entire communitiesFor more information including “A Glossary of Sorts” (aka Spenderisms) see the 11/9/21 newsletter associated with LTL episode #30
Will the choices in front of us make us better or worse? Will they improve our lives, or diminish our lives? That depends on who and what is informing those decisions. Is it people with questionable agendas, or is it a culture trending on a rogue wave of self-gratification, or is it our own lack of thoughtfulness and integrity? Whatever it might be, we might ask who and/or what is informing our decisions? And how much are they clouding that decision to the point that we will be set up to pay a potentially unimaginable price in making it…for we have all paid such prices before and we would be the fool to pay them again. For the wrong information, and the wrong motives, and the wrong value system will leave you on the wrong side of every choice, and choices that leave you on the wrong side never make your life better.
Government reports show that pipelines are the safest mode of transportation of moving oil—and only getting safer. However, these facts appear to largely have been ignored by the seemingly growing opposition to pipelines. Perhaps, there is no better example of this than the executive order made by President Joe Biden earlier this year revoking the Keystone XL pipeline permit—effectively killing the project.

There is beauty in the unknown. A special kind of magic when you have found yourself in the great void, uncertain of what's to come next. Though it is fear that obscures this beauty. Separating us from the rich landscape of our inner world. Clouding our vision to our true potential. This short 15 min episode with host Kat Walsh is about forging your own path and flying in face of fear. It's about embracing a deep trust and surrender that when you're aligned to your soul's calling, when you are tuned into your higher self and listening to the inner guidance, anything is possible. Welcome back to part two of our exclusive interview with entrepreneur and climate change activist James McWalter. In our first episode two weeks ago we got an inside look into a fascinating field that has rapidly grown within the past few decades as our impact as humans becomes more apparent. One result of the negative human impact is carbon emissions. Tons, and tons, and tons of carbon emissions. Clouding the atmosphere, causing temperature, ecological and oceanic changes that will ultimately destroy life as we know it. That's where James comes in. Inspired by the impending problems facing down humanity, James created a goal to help reduce 1 gigaton of carbon in our atmosphere. That's essentially 1/40th of all carbon that is in Earths' atmosphere. The current plan to achieve this goal is through restructuring our agricultural practices through a technique called regenerative agriculture. Join us as we discuss how Facebook plays a large role in farmers communication, planning and communities. Why so many in this crucial circle become defensive about farming practices and their contributions to potential change. James's advice on how to become a carbon reducing consumer with your foods in easy steps (spoiler alert- red meat is NOT off the menu); and how you as an entrepreneur, aspiring business person, and passion follower can structure your priorities. https://www.jamesmcwalter.com/about https://carbotnic.com/ Visit our website: www.hustlersforacause.com Follow us on Instagram: www.instagram.com/hustlersforacause Follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/hustlers4acause Join our Facebook community: www.facebook.com/hustlersforacause/community Subscribe to our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCCJl0-Mxt3jcLle9_9TEfqA This episode is sponsored by BlabberJax! Concerns raised on secrecy clouding proposed COVID-19 vaccine trials in SA Shaheed Mahomed by Radio Islam
Deep down within the core of our genetic foundations are exceptional traits with the potential to positively change your world. In the height of injustice, racism, world health crisis and our own personal challenges each day. Those core traits like for instance, courage, tenacity, persistence, faith, and joy. Just to name a few can experience tremors at times in the form of either thinking of giving up or feeling exhausted from all the daily issues we endure. Which in result can mushroom the views of our situations? Clouding our decision making or even partially succumbing to the lies of the adversary that things will not get better or you'll never make it. Our mindset quote comes from Winston Churchill, who said. Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. Yes, it can be a lot to navigate through each day. And Feeling the symptoms of tiredness or a dash of frustration at times is completely normal. But hope anyway- reinforce your strength with concrete veracity that God will not abandon you. He wants to help with every bother, frustration, and anything else we confront. Because God knows everyone gets tired and exhausted at some point in life. Which is why taking the opportunity to rest is critical. And to be clear resting is most definitely not a form of weakness within our world mentality of go, go, go, win, win, win. Power word: Isaiah 40:30-31 “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” HE will renew you. Don't lose HOPE! YOU'RE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.

A special short episode, talking about what I believe is one of the current most urgent humanitarian crises in our country: the crisis at our southern border. Clouding this crisis is an ongoing reference to this as a political issue. We, the public, are told this is a problem with immigration. I believe this is inaccurate. This is a problem of ethics. It is a problem stemming from the view that some of us are less deserving of human respect and decency than others.
We all have judged someone before. First impressions are a form of judgement. The fact is when you judge someone you are insinuating that you are better than they are. Is it right to judge someone on what they wear, how they act or what they choose to believe in? I don't think so but it is in our nature. Don't judge others until you pass judgement on yourself. Keep your thoughts on target with your goals and dreams and do not let others tamper with them at all. Stay on your defined path towards your goal and let no one derail you. ****************** Please tell me your story, tell me how positivity is impacting your life, or how you think it's just out of reach. **Escape from Asthma Episode #13 Reducing Asthma Medications Safely ** Hi, welcome to episode thirteen of Escape from Asthma that is about reducing your asthma medication safely. Since we know every medication carries some adverse side effects that vary from minor to potentially very serious, so it makes sense to try to manage with as little medication as possible while maintaining good control of your asthma. Side Effects of Reliever medications: reliever medications can cause tremors or nervousness in children with a 20% risk and over 10% risk of insomnia in young children, all users may experience nausea, fever, bronchospasm, vomiting, headaches and increased heart rate. A smaller percentage may suffer dizziness, coughs, allergic reactions, earache, nose bleeds, and a range of other symptoms. Warnings are given for any who have severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins. Patients are advised to use with caution if they suffer from cardiovascular disease, asthma, glaucoma, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or seizures. Excessive use may be fatal; do not exceed recommended dose; serious adverse effects occur when administered dose exceeds recommended dose. They may exacerbate heart failure in patients with reduced ejection fraction and may produce significant hypokalemia, possibly through intracellular shunting, which potentially produces adverse cardiovascular effects. Preventer medications (Steroid): although life-saving and an essential part of many asthma patient’s treatment do have far more serious adverse side effects when used long-term or in excess. Corticosteroids carry a risk of side effects, some of which can cause serious health problems. When you know what side effects are possible, you can take steps to control their impact. Side effects of oral corticosteroids Because oral corticosteroids affect your entire body instead of just a particular area, this route of administration is the most likely to cause significant side effects. Side effects depend on the dose of medication you receive and may include: • Elevated pressure in the eyes (glaucoma) • Fluid retention, causing swelling in your lower legs • High blood pressure • Problems with mood swings, memory and behavior and other psychological effects, such as confusion or delirium • Weight gain, with fat deposits in your abdomen, face and the back of your neck When taking oral corticosteroids longer term, you may experience: • Clouding of the lens in one or both eyes (cataracts) • High blood sugar, which can trigger or worsen diabetes • Increased risk of infections, especially with common bacterial, viral and fungal microorganisms • Thinning bones (osteoporosis) and fractures • Suppressed adrenal gland hormone production, which may result in a variety of signs and symptoms, including severe fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and muscle weakness • Thin skin, bruising and slower wound healing Side effects of inhaled corticosteroids When using inhaled corticosteroids, some of the drug may deposit in your mouth and throat instead of making it to your lungs. This can cause: • Fungal infection in the mouth (oral thrush) • Hoarseness If you gargle and rinse your mouth with water — don't swallow — after each puff on your corticosteroid inhaler, you may be able to avoid mouth and throat irritation. Some researchers have speculated that inhaled corticosteroid drugs may slow growth rates in children who use them for asthma. So with these potential adverse side effects you will probably agree it makes sense to limit their use as much as safely possible, this is where your breath training provides a way forward. By this stage of the course I would hope you have increased your Control Pause to over thirty seconds and that you have found you hardly ever feel the need to use your reliever puffer. If you are still in the twenty to thirty second control pause range you will be feeling the benefits but not yet able to manage without your reliever medication from time to time. Don’t worry with more practice you will get there, it can take a little time to change a lifetime’s bad breathing habits. Remember how you can use an extended breath pause plus a few minutes of reduced breathing instead of your reliever when you have improved your everyday breathing enough. Usually this is when you are achieving a morning control pause of over thirty. Remember you must continue using your preventer medication, your corticosteroid puffer regularly as prescribed by your doctor. DO NOT DISCONTINUE ITS USE SUDDENLY BUT ONLY WITH GUIDANCE FROM YOUR DOCTOR. When you have been symptom free and have not used any reliever medication for six weeks you may then approach your doctor to agree on a safe protocol for reducing the preventer medication. The Buteyko Method suggests that you start by reducing your morning dose first as this is when your natural supply of corticosteroids is highest. If you were on two puffs in the morning and two puffs at night, you will now start a week of one puff in the morning and two at night. Keep a regular check on your control pause during this period and ensure it stays over thirty five seconds. If your control pause goes down then return to your two puffs in the morning again. Assuming your control pause stays high and you have no symptoms the second week eliminate one puff at night, so now you are taking one puff in the morning and one at night. Once again keep a close check on your control pause to ensure it stays above thirty-five seconds and if it falls go back to two puffs at night. The third week you can reduce your preventer to just one puff at night and as before maintain a close check on your control pause. If you have no symptoms and your control pause stays high, continue routinely checking your control pause every day especially in the morning. It is generally advisable to keep a check of the morning control pause for a year or more, it literally only takes less than a minute and it is your protection against the return of your asthma. Don’t try to reduce your preventer medication at a bad time of the year or during a period of stress. Remember it can take some people up to two years to come off all steroids as your adrenal glands need time to rehabilitate to normal functioning. **IF IN DOUBT ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ** The next episode will discuss stopping taping and Buteyko Exercises and offer more helpful advice on restoring you to full health.
Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

Let's dive into the messy and complicated world of FOOD – sorting out fad diets, dogmatic food rules and discussing the different food camps that are currently popular in 2018. As registered nurses, we're not nutritionists or dietitians - but we are human. So we've had many of our own experiences around food. Plus, we've each fallen victim to the peer pressure at different stages of our lives based on our goals & we've each had our own personal journey around the discovery of the nutrition hiding in our food & the way of eating that works best for us individually. In this episode - we discuss how we got to where we our today – what our opinions are on all of it – while trying to uncomplicate it for you to understand it all better and make the best decisions for yourself in regards to food. We get personal – telling you which fad diets and dogmatic food rules we’ve subscribed to in the past and how that worked for us long term. Spoiler alert – it never works long term – it always comes back around to one basic, simple rule. Not any one single way of eating is perfect for everybody. Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto, Paleo, Macro, High Fat – Low Carb, High Carb – Low Fat, Weight Watchers, Atkins, Whole 30, 21 day fix…. The list goes on and on. But the answer is simple. Eat Real Food. Mostly Plants. Not too much. - Michael Polan said it best, and we’ve come to realize – that no matter which dogmatic food camp you may be subscribed to – we can all agree that REAL FOOD is at the core of our ultimate health and well being. Did you know….. Oreos and Coca Cola are vegan? – our point being …. No matter what group you belong too – you still need to take personal responsibility for the daily food choices you’re making while understanding the long-term effects of the foods your choosing to consume and WHY. Understanding the why behind the food we're eating will ultimately allow you to simplify your food choices long term, walk away from the rules, remove the emotional entrapment you’ve most likely felt at least once in your life around food – and we hope to allow you to begin enjoying food and the way it’s making you feel at your core – quite possibly for the first time in your life once you discover the 'why' behind our passion on this topic. In our conversation with Dr. Augustine Fou , Group Chief Digital Officer; Ad Fraud Researcher, he warns that “Nonprofit advertisers are some of the most vulnerable to ad fraud as they frequently receive remnant ad inventory with higher levels of fraud.” In the coming years, nonprofits need to “beware of vague reporting of where ads are being served, and focus on clear user actions taken on their sites instead of impressions and clicks. Always test and verify traffic, remember that bots don’t donate or volunteer, that’s what you should be measuring against ad spends.”
How do you define Success? What is your definition of success isn't true? What if your definition is based on what your ancestors told you it was, what if your idea of success is based on what society and the media told you and what if none of it was true? What if what you believe about money, careers, childbirth, aging, parenting, diet, health, marriage and relationships are illusions that are holding you back from living the life you desire? One of the first steps of unplugging from the illusions is acknowledgement that what you believe may not be true.
