Whew, this is a tough one for me. I've had a lifelong struggle with people pleasing, and I'm just now beginning to find my way out of that habit. I think it's a topic a lot of us can relate to, so let's settle in and talk about it. Also, Jennifer Paige and the PTSD I still suffer from her song “Crush.” It's a very specific PTSD, but IT IS REAL!

Auf der CD1 wurde gleich mal mit den Backstreet Boys eröffnet. Christian Wunderlich dagegen hatte später in Asien großen Erfolg. Bei Jenni und Andreas kommt sein Song nicht so gut an. Auch Dune, T'ee und DJ FK tun sich ein bisschen schwer. Auf der CD2 dagegen haben wir eine sehr große Hitdichte zu bewundern. It was set outdoors in a kind of home and garden franchise, where they served hot chocolate so that was a fun adventure listening to her sing Christmas tunes and entertaining the crowd. We kept in touch ever since. Jennifer Paige was the singer of the hit Crush. It’s one of those go to songs you needed to have in your repertoire as a cover band singer. Georgia native Jennifer Paige scored one massive hit in 1998, the seductive pop of “Crush.”  The single went to #3 in the US and topped the charts in Spain, Denmark, Russia, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.  Despite recording a strong debut album, she had no further hits in the States.  Her promising sophomore album, Positively Somewhere, had the misfortune of coming out the week after 9/11 in 2001.  She returned with a third album, Best Kept Secret in 2008, but lost both of her parents and was diagnosed with melanoma the same year.  Not surprisingly, she lost the desire for music.Now, she’s healthy and has returned with her fourth album Starflower, funded by a successful Kickstarter program. We talk what got her back on the path to music, her collaboration with Coury Palermo, and the fact that she’s been one of the voices on the successful “Nationwide is on your Side” ad campaign.

Second Quantum of Solace (In the Air CX 134)   Refer to previous podcast for an update on my status.    I mixed this second Quantum of Solace during an 8 hour flight. The only post-edit is the intro, in many ways unnecessary but I felt like tying the set up to the Quantum World.
