We'll move through a series of poses and breathing exercises designed to open, stretch, and stimulate the throat area. Our practice will include child's pose, cat-cow, downward dog, neck stretches, humming, chanting, and lion's breath. The goal is to promote balanced energy flow, enhance self-expression, and deepen our listening through movement and sound vibrations. Pay attention to the sensations in your throat and strive for a balance between speaking and receiving. Welcome to Spiritually Fit Yoga! Hi friends! I'm back after taking a little break from my podcast. I've graduated a new group of yoga teachers, added some new yoga classes in the Bay Area, and am now ready to bring you more episodes focused on mindful movement. Today's episode is a gentle stretch for the neck and shoulders, which is a common place many of us hold stress and tension. This is a very accessible stretch session suitable for beginners. And, with any physical practice, please consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns, an especially if you experience any pain. This session includes a 5 minute savasana in silence followed by 3 bells then you are welcomed back to the sound of my voice with soft background music. You can enjoy this practice at any time of day, on a yoga mat or in your bed before you go to sleep. Optional props: A blanket, bolster or cushion.
