We feature a special UFO Roundtable, featuring cohosts Curt Collins and Tim Swartz. The list of topics includes UFO research updates, the influence of pop culture on the phenomenon, faulty memories of reported UFO crashes such as Roswell, and remembrances of the late Tim Beckley, known to some as "Mr. UFO." Curt is the author behind Blue Blurry Lines, a website focused on the UFO mystery, as well as its legends and hoaxes. After a career in retail management Curt began writing about UFOs, with a special interest in re-investigating the paradoxical 1980 Texas Cash-Landrum case.More recently, he launched The Saucers That Time Forgot with Claude Falkstrom, focused on unearthing “tales that UFO history has overlooked, or would rather forget.” Tim is an Indiana native and Emmy-Award winning television producer/videographer. He is also the author of a number of popular books including "The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla," "America's Strange and Supernatural History," and "Time Travel: Fact Not Fiction!"

Mike's guest is Paul Maconochie who was "on the ground" when 3DM got its start in Sheffield, England some 30 years ago. Paul was a university student back then and found his way to St Thomas Church, Crookes (which is now known as "STC Sheffield."). It would be there that Paul would experience an incredible move of God, and it would be there that Paul would be connected with 3DM's founder, Mike Breen. Paul is here to not just share with us some of the "behind the scenes" stories of how 3DM came to be, but he will also tell about some of the significant and powerful moves of God that has led to 3DM as we know it today. www.3dmovements.com

Find out what the "Powers That Be" Don't want you to know regarding the truly hidden - occult - history of the United States. No one would likely dispute the fact that times are stranger in America than ever before, and indications are that things are getting weirder with each passing day.But a look at our hidden – SECRET – history alerts us to the startling fact that our country has been steeped in “high strangeness” since its founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and, provocatively, even before. It is nevertheless apparent that our proud nation owes a great “debt of ingratitude” to the mysterious, the macabre, the downright bizarre and the unseen realm of the occult.Did the ancient Lemurians, a Pacific Ocean race similar to the fabled Atlanteans to the east, erect the mysterious walls found in the eastern part of the San Francisco Bay area? Writer Olav Phillips explores the enigma first hand.Sean Casteel provides an overview of historical incidents of cannibalism, stories that go back as far as “The Starving Time” of the Jamestown colony in 1609, and Wm. Michael Mott offers up some of the UFO and creature sightings he has collected from the state of Mississippi.Publisher/writer Timothy Green Beckley and his friend Circe returned to Sleepy Hollow, New York – of “Headless Horseman” fame – and discovered that paranormal activity is still rampant there, while author Tim Swartz would like suitable explanations for all the supernatural mysteries of his native Indiana. In a Bonus Section: “The Spiritual Destinyof America” - The future of America as seen through the eyes of prophecy and the occult is revealed. You can feel the chills already, eh? Read “America's Strange and Supernatural History” and get ready to kick those chills up a notch or two.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseofmysteryradio. My special guest is best-selling author Dan Flores, who returns to the show to discuss his book about the war between coyotes and humans in America. Get his book Coyote America: A Natural and Supernatural History on Amazon. With its uncanny night howls, unrivaled ingenuity, and amazing resilience, the coyote is the stuff of legends. In Indian folktales, it often appears as a deceptive trickster or a sly genius. But legends don't come close to capturing the incredible survival story of the coyote. As soon as Americans - especially white Americans - began ranching and herding in the West, they began working to destroy the coyote. Despite campaigns of annihilation employing poisons, gases, helicopters, and engineered epidemics, coyotes didn't just survive; they thrived, expanding across the continent from Anchorage, Alaska, to New York's Central Park. In the war between humans and coyotes, coyotes have won hands down. Coyote America is both an environmental and a deep natural history of the coyote. It traces both the five-million-year-long biological story of an animal that has become the "wolf" in our backyards and its cultural evolution from a preeminent spot in Native American religions to the hapless foil of the Road Runner. A deeply American tale, the story of the coyote in the American West and beyond is a sort of Manifest Destiny in reverse, with a pioneering hero whose career holds up an uncanny mirror to the successes and failures of American expansionism. An illuminating biography of this extraordinary animal, Coyote America isn't just the story of an animal's survival - it is one of the great epics of our time. It's super easy to access our archives! An illuminating biography of this extraordinary animal, Coyote America isn't just the story of an animal's survival - it is one of the great epics of our time. Learn more about your ad choices. By special request, we present a fearless guest cohost roundtable, featuring Curt Collins and Tim Swartz. Curt is the author behind Blue Blurry Lines, the website focused on the UFO mystery, as well as its legends and hoaxes. After a career in retail management Curt began writing about UFOs, with a special interest in re-investigating the paradoxical 1980 Texas Cash-Landrum case. In 2015 Curt was on the investigative team, the Roswell Slides Research Group, that exposed the BeWitness alien photo fiasco. More recently, he launched The Saucers That Time Forgot with Claude Falkstrom, focused on unearthing “tales that UFO history has overlooked, or would rather forget.” Tim is an Indiana native and Emmy-Award winning television producer/videographer. He is also the author of a number of popular books including "The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla," "America's Strange and Supernatural History," and "Time Travel: Fact Not Fiction!" And he is the writer and editor of the online newsletter Conspiracy Journal; a free, weekly e-mail newsletter, considered essential reading by paranormal researchers worldwide.
Today let's consider one thrifty, scheming, and supernaturally resilient animal--kind of like the character of Wile E. Coyote himself. Sit down and face coyote's music with today's guest, Sam Wilber, Naturalist. “So much of ecology and biology is such a bummer in this day and age," says Wilber. "There are so many things that are on the endangered list . . . it's important to remember the species who are doing awesome. . . . Coyotes are winning against us, and I love that.” Stop fearing and start marveling about the brilliant resilience of this little (and we do mean LITTLE) meso- (not "apex-") predator who is, for all intents and purposes, just another super-smart pup. Sam Wilber is a naturalist, zoologist, photographer, and artist based in Tucson, Arizona. She works for Reid Park Zoo and volunteers for the Arizona Master Naturalists and Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection. She also runs her own art business at Sam Wilder Art LLC. Sam has experiences ranging from zoo-keeping to wildlife fieldwork to environmental education and endless stories about her favorite wild animals and wild places. In today's episode, we're going to talk about Stargates. For those unfamiliar with what a stargate is, a stargate is a theoretical Einstein–Rosen bridge portal device that allows practical, rapid travel between two distant locations. At several ancient megalithic sites across the Earth, there are thought to be remnants of these stargate devices that supposedly belonged to and were used by ancient humans. Modern day science has proven that these devices should theoretically work and that practical applications of such technology could rewrite how we travel and what travel limitations humans really have. In movies and books such as Stargate, Avengers, Monsters, Inc, Buck Rogers, John Carter of Mars and literally, hundreds of others of movies, books and comics -- humans have been depicted to use these stargate portal devices to travel to worlds unknown. Traversing the stars, visiting other habitable planets, traveling to different parts of the earth simply by walking through a doorway. Today, our episode talks about these supposed stargates, both anciently and in modernity -- asking if mankind has truly been able to travel the universe, or, if it's all an illusion of mankind's wishful imagination. Our guest today is Tim R. Swartz. He's an Indiana native and an Emmy-Award winning television producer/videographer, and is the author of a number of popular paranormal books including The Lost Journals of Nikola Tesla, America's Strange and Supernatural History, UFO Repeaters, Time Travel: Fact Not Fiction and more. The idea for Banjo Robinson came about when Kate's father used to hide mail throughout the house for her to find when she was a child and when she was writing to friends' children back home in England. Thus, Banjo Robinson the company was born. For a generation of tech consumers, proper, paper post was a fresh way to spread magic of storytelling, and so Banjo Robinson - adventurer, penpal and magical cat was born. We learn through every day life and experiences that are not “school-like” in any way, and things do not need to “academically” educational to be worthy of our time and effort. We can all be creative in the ways we learn different things, whether we are young or old! Get your kids excited about discovering something new by disguising the learning activities as fun time. There are many other ways to learn, though, and as parents we can understand our children and see what styles they enjoy and respond to best. The most important thing is that we are encouraging our children to explore the world around them. Foster kindness and empathy It is critical to start and teach kids at a young age, when they can most easily absorb fundamental lessons. Usually, children like to learn from the people around him. They mimic the behavior of others and implement that in their own behavior. They are born imitators. So, we should present an imitable character before them which will help them grow as a good human being. Children are the future habitants of this world. If they are kind and empathetic, the world will be in safe hands. Teach kids the importance of diversity Promote self-discovery by sharing personal journeys and helping kids understand that everyone has a story. Teach children that their lives are enriched when they encounter and befriend people from different racial, ethnic or socioeconomic backgrounds, or who face different learning or physical challenges. Remind kids that everyone is an individual and when kids are self-aware and self-accepting, they are less likely to be judgmental or prejudiced. Subscribe! Predators are a two-faced god for humans, according to Dan Flores, historian and author of Coyote America: A Natural and Supernatural History. After all, we were once both predators and prey. With this episode, we continue to explore this complex relationship of humans and predators by looking to the song dogs of the prairie. Coyotes inspired several Aztec dieties, served as the model for the protagonist of the earliest American stories, and, in defiance of a concerted effort by federal and state agencies to wipe them off the face of the earth, thrive throughout the lower 48 states today. As such, they have much to teach us about the natural and cultural history of America and, more broadly, about our own species.Thank you to David Larzelere for playing the guitar on the "Coyote National Anthem."For more see in-the-weeds.net

This week we talk about a few current events in the hunting world. We discuss the woman that got kicked off Tinder for the hunting pictures in her profile. Do you have a duty to notify people you are serving them venison or any wild game before serving it to them? We also discuss the bounty on coyotes currently being proposed in South Carolina. This is a really interesting conversation with a wide range of topics. What are your thoughts on any of the topics we discussed in this episode? We talk to writer and historian Dan Flores about his book Coyote America: A Natural and Supernatural History.
Wile E. Coyote has a family tree with many roots and branches, argues University of Montana A.B. Hammond Professor Emeritus Dan Flores in his recent book, Coyote America: A Natural and Supernatural History (Basic Books, 2016). Coyotes as a species predate humans in North America, and people have been, by turns, fascinated and horrified by coyotes for as long as the two creatures have coexisted. The coyote’s relationship with humans has been, as Flores describes it, a rollercoaster. Considered a semi-deity figure and trickster god among many Indigenous cultures across the American West, the first Europeans to encounter the coyote were puzzled by the animal. Lewis and Clark struggled to fit coyotes into existing categories; was it a jackal, or closer to a wolf? By the end of the nineteenth century however, Americans had largely decided the coyote was, above all, a nuisance and took up arms to eradicate the animal. The effects were both gruesome and surprising. While government-laid traps and poisons killed millions of coyotes, many thousands also migrated to cities as a means of escaping the attempted extermination. Today, coyotes can be found in every American state save Hawaii and have even crossed their final frontier into New York City. Coyote America traces the history of this nigh-mystical animal (an “American Avatar” in Flores’s estimation) and their long, tortured, relationship with humans. Stephen Hausmann is a doctoral candidate at Temple University and Visiting Instructor of history at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently writing his dissertation, a history of race and the environment in the Black Hills and surrounding northern plains region of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. Tim R. Swartz, the writer and editor of the online Conspiracy Journal, which offers a free, weekly e-mail newsletter, discussed his latest work on America's strange and supernatural history including prophecies made by US presidents. There have been many strange stories of objects that fell from the sky, and one of the oddest occurred in Kentucky in 1876, when meat, described as "flesh in fine particles and strips," landed in a yard area when the sky was relatively clear.Swartz shared several accounts of spontaneous human combustion (SHC) that he investigated including cases where smoke started rolling out of a man's shirt even though he wasn't smoking, and a blue flame that inexplicably emerged from a man's stomach area. American History is taught everyday in classrooms around the 50 states of the United States, and yet something is glaringly missing from those textbooks -- America's Strange and Supernatural History.Meat Raining from SkyAre Human Beings Turning into BigfootIs Bigfoot the Next Level for the Human Evolutionary ChainProphecies by American PresidentsWhat Causes Spontaneous Human CombustionOne listener on YouTube theorized that spontaneous human combustion is caused by voodoo. That is why the things around the person do not burn. The bed or whatever is not being held over a flame, just the voodoo doll. And the hand or foot that is not burned is the part that was held with tongs or whatever by the voodoo practitioner over the fire.
