I recently had the opportunity to have a great conversation with David Cacciatore and Tom Losito of The DT's. The power-pop/rock & bluesy duo has played together for some time but established themselves officially as The DT's in early 2022.Fresh off the release of their latest single “All In My Head,” it's apparent that there's a synergy and kismet to the fact that these two musicians were destined to make music together. Take away the fact that they could easily pass as close brothers who finish each other's sentences, have a similar sense of humor, and blend their vocal harmonies seamlessly. But they both play several instruments, are equals in the songwriting process, and take their variety of musical influences to create a sound that is altogether there's … and there's alone.THE DT's took some time to play an acoustic version of “All In My Head” that will stop you in your tracks and force you to tap to the beat and sing along to the catchy chorus! Tune in today to learn more about these talented musicians who are quietly – but very assuredly – making their way to bigger stages and audiences!THE DT'S WEBSITESPOTIFYINSTAGRAM

Happy Friday Wrecks! Hope you've been doing well. Alexandra Tandon, creator of All In My Head, recently appeared on the podcast You Are What You Love to talk about how the 90's television show, Charmed, influenced her as a person and a creator. She and host Marissa Tandon talk about how she discovered the show mid cliffhanger, how the show came into her life during her middle and high school years, and how Charmed showed her women who were powerful and in charge of their own lives, something that differed from the other TV shows she was watching at the time. Tangents include the awkward transition from middle school to high school, the importance of Alex Russo from Wizards of Waverly Place, and whether Hannah Montana's record deal would hold up in the real world. Listen to You Are What You Love and the second half of this conversation wherever you get your podcasts. You can find the show on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or your favorite podcast app here.
Alexandra Tandon, writer and director of the horror fiction podcast All In My Head, returns to discuss the 90's TV show, Charmed. This is part 2 of a 2 part conversation. We talk about how Charmed influenced her as a creator herself, how she discovered the online fandom for the show this past year while creating prop replicas, and how the Halliwell sisters helped her understand that being a strong woman didn't mean that you weren't a vulnerable one. Tangents include Alexandra's feelings on how the love stories wrapped up, her own creative endeavors, and her enjoyment of near reality fiction. In the season two finale, Joel and his bestie Monica chat about what it means to embrace life, trust the process, and say no to fear. Joel very briefly sexualizes Monica (just kidding, it's just a compliment), Monica burps a few times (as usual), and of course, there is some singing and rapping. Because what's a podcast episode without some rhymes and verses, anyway? Ending season two on a positive note, Joel and Monica share the good spaces they're in at this point in their lives - a place neither of them were just a year ago. Finding What You Never Came For Topics: Music Can Take You Back (That's not always good sis' when God has delivered you), My Personal Take On Secular Music, Twin Flame Deception, Love vs. Lust, Acknowledging How Idols Affected Me, A Bit of My Healing Process, I AIN'T PERFECT, You Have To Maintain Deliverance, Personal Convictions, This Generation's Perspective On Love vs. God's Original Kingdom Place for Love and My Journey of Unlearning and Learning, There Is NO SUCH THING AS NO STRINGS ATTACHED, Sex Ain't Sacred No More For Some of Y'all, Fleeing From Sexual Sin, Deliverance From Spirit of Legion, Cherishing Your Relationship With God, God did NOT Make Hell For People!, STOP RELYING ON POTENTIAL IN RELATIONSHIPS, and Guard YA' HEART! On this week's episode of Everything That Heals, I discuss my take on secular music, after being inspired to do this episode after listening to ‘All In My Head' by SiR, it led to this lengthy podcast where I went from inquiring about opinions on Love vs. Lust (how to differentiate the 2), me sharing how my experience with new age, and believing in twin flames led me to crazy idolatry. I know that listening to certain songs that you associated heavily with a certain period of your life, or clung to during a certain period can be a tool of the enemy to try and make you return to what God has delivered you from, therefore trying to draw you away from God. I even spoke about familiar spirits, and how we seek the dysfunction we're used to till we unlearn, and relearn the functional way of life that God provides examples of in our world, and I later go on to go into detail about my deliverance from the spirit of Legion. Questions: How do YOU differentiate love and lust? What do you do when you didn't come for love, but you find it? Continuing the soul-stirring journey through our Backspin series, we've curated the "Addicted to Bass," a spiritual successor to our earlier set. Dive into the abyss of hypnotic beats and reverberating basslines that shaped the turn of the millennium. The tracks we've handpicked for this installment are timeless, remaining as invigorating today as they were at the peak of their popularity. Let's delve into some of the gems this episode has to offer. Puretone's "Addicted To Bass," is a track that cascaded through speakers with an almost hypnotic allure, here spiced up by Differentgear's unmistakable flair. Then you've got Celeda's "The Underground," an edgy staple of the early 00s, retouched by none other than Peter Rauhofer. This one's a primal call to the dance floor if there ever was one. If you're seeking more cerebral thrills, Kosheen's "All In My Head" gives you that introspective vibe, enhanced by Planet Funk's creative reimagining. Of course, who can forget Fragma's "Toca's Miracle"? No Backspin collection would be complete without this pulsating anthem. This extended mix requires no tweaking—it's a masterpiece in its own right. Then you have the sensual "Dove (I'll Be Loving You)" by Moony, given an exotic layer by Stephane K. & John Creamer, and Rui Da Silva's "Touch Me," featuring Cassandra, which is amplified by Double 99's touch. Cassius's "The Sound Of Violence" takes an invigorating turn with Narcotic Thrust's intense club mix. And if you're in the mood for a twist, you'll appreciate Daniel Bedingfield's "Gotta Get Thru This," spruced up by Passengerz. Don't think we're done with surprises. Ever heard rock blended with dance? Check out Coldplay's "Clocks," which Heaven & Earth Division remix into a dance floor revelation. Then there's the whimsical yet poignant "They Say Vision" by Res, given a suave revamp by Robbie Rivera. These early 00s Dance Classics offer a snapshot into an era where genres blended and musical norms were subverted. Whether it was the influence of DJs, who often took these tracks and turned them into transcendental experiences, or the original pulsating beats that made them classics, each tune in this Backspin episode speaks to a time of musical exploration and freedom. So there it is, another enriching trip down the musical avenues of the past, serving both as a reflection of where we've been and an enduring testament to the staying power of quality dance music. Until the next time...ENJOY!
