Janet Anderson recently starred in Overflow, a play written by non-binary artist Travis Alabanza. Her solo performance was a tour de force and aligned her personal with her political. The play was presented when trans people dominated headlines, during a time of debate about bathroom usage. Overflow was a creative haven; the entire Trans and Gender Diverse creative team allowed Anderson to bring her whole self to the rehearsal room, something rarely afforded to Trans creatives.Queering the Collection is created by Tristan Meecham.Editing and audio production by Jess Fairfax.Presented by Arts Centre Melbourne, in association with the Australian Performing Arts Collection and The Australian Queer Archives.Special thanks to Ian Jackson, Ange Bailey and Nick Henderson for their curatorial work.Photo of Janet Anderson by Andrew Fraser, provided by artist. Franking credits are important for many investors, particularly those operating in a low or no-tax environment. A company paying a 5% fully franked yield, for example, gets grossed up to around 7% after franking. Juicy. More than half of the companies listed on the S&P/ASX200 either fully pay or partially pay franked dividends, and it is important to know the relevant franking level. With that in mind, Livewire's Ally Selby recently sat down with Peter Gardner from Plato, and Andrew Fraser from Merlon to discuss five stocks with sustainable and fully franked dividends. For those unfamiliar with franking, they also discuss why franking is important and how it factors into their respective investment processes. Note: This episode was recorded on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
There are currently 10 stocks with double-digit yields on the ASX, exactly half the amount there was this time last year. While double-digit yields certainly sound enticing, investors should be aware that they could indicate that the market believes a company has limited growth prospects, a falling share price, or a one-off dividend. For those not in the know, dividend yield is calculated by adding up all the dividends (both special and normal) paid over the last 12 months and then dividing that value by a stock's current share price. So, are any of these double-digit yields sustainable? To find out, Livewire's Ally Selby was joined by Plato Investment Management's Peter Gardner and Merlon Capital's Andrew Fraser. They share at what point alarm bells should start ringing on the sustainability of these yields, and where they are seeing growing yields over the short and long term. They also each name a stock they are backing - which surprisingly, are both incredibly similar - for attractive income over the next few years. Note: This episode was recorded on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
With interest rates up 4.25% in the space of two years, investors have entered a Goldilocks era for income. But while many retirees live happily off the income generated by some of the market's dividend stalwarts, there are potential traps out there. To help ensure you're investing in companies with sustainable dividend yields, Livewire's Ally Selby was joined by Plato Investment Management's Peter Gardner and Merlon Capital's Andrew Fraser for their analysis of three widely owned dividend stalwarts (and for something different, none of these are iron ore miners). Plus, they also call out two dividend darlings they now regard as traps. Note: This episode was recorded on Wednesday 5 June 2024. You can read an edited transcript below: https://www.livewiremarkets.com/wires/buy-hold-sell-3-dividend-darlings-and-2-traps/

Remember them that had the rule over you, which spake unto you the word of God: and considering the issue of their life imitate their faith. (Hebrews 13:7, R.V.) . Acknowledgment Although Mr. McClure did not keep a journal, written accounts of some incidents found among his personal effects seem to indicate that he expected something to be written about his life and service for the Lord. These bits of information have been added to that received from other reliables sources as well as from the author's knowledge gained from many years of personal acquaintance with him. Wholly conscious of his inability to do justice to our departed brother, the author has attempted to keep Mr. McClure's life and labors before the reader, who he trusts, will bear with any errors that may be found in this volume. He desires to acknowledge his indebtedness to a number of the Lord's people who have helped in research work and contributed articles. He feels especially indebted to Dr. H. A. According to the Amazon.com description: "The WASP Question" deals with the question of Anglo-Saxon life in the United States, Australia and everywhere across the world where they have settled. Having for the most part lost a sense of their own ethnic identity in a time of increasing globalism and international multiculturalism which values nearly every culture except their own, the ‘WASPs' – White Anglo-Saxon Protestants – are alternatively mocked, attacked and ignored in their own lands. Professor Fraser addresses the many questions involved in the matter with impeccable erudition and proposes possible solutions for the future. Constitutional and legal history, evolutionary biology and Christian theology all come into play as Fraser tackles one of the most burning questions of our time. As an analysis of the problems, and possible way forward, faced by a European ethnic group, the book will be of interest to anyone concerned about the fate of not just the Anglo-Saxons, but any specific cultural and racial identity in the postmodern, multicultural age. Andrew Fraser studied both law and history in Canada and the United States. After moving to Australia, he taught legal history and constitutional law at Macquarie University in Sydney. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007YUP1R6/ Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSFVD7Xfhn7sJY8LAIQmH8Q/join https://odysee.com/@LukeFordLive, https://lbry.tv/@LukeFord, https://rumble.com/lukeford https://dlive.tv/lukefordlivestreams Listener Call In #: 1-310-997-4596 Superchat: https://entropystream.live/app/lukefordlive Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/lukeford/ Soundcloud MP3s: https://soundcloud.com/luke-ford-666431593 Code of Conduct: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=125692 https://www.patreon.com/lukeford http://lukeford.net Email me: lukeisback@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter.com/lukeford Support the show | https://www.streamlabs.com/lukeford, https://patreon.com/lukeford, https://PayPal.Me/lukeisback Facebook: http://facebook.com/lukecford Feel free to clip my videos. Although sheep farming is still enmeshed in the fabric of New Zealand's cultural identity, it is another economic activity that this nation is retooling for a globalized world. “Wool has traditionally been — and still is — a very good product,” Mr. Fraser said. “The trouble is that now, a similar product can be manufactured out of used Coke bottles and all sorts of stuff. 傅瑞澤說:「羊毛一向是,也仍然是很棒的產品,問題是現在可用廢可樂罐和各種東西做出類似產品。」 From 1982 to 2011, New Zealand's sheep population declined to 31.1 million from 70.2 million, according to government data, as many sheep pastures were converted to dairy farms or other uses. The roughly 17,000 sheep farmers who remain still earn money from selling the fleece of their animals. But on many sheep farms, meat has replaced wool as the primary profit maker. 官方資料顯示1982到2011年紐西蘭綿羊從7020萬隻降到3110萬,許多牧羊場轉養乳牛或改作他途。現在大概還有1.7萬羊農,雖仍賣羊毛賺錢,許多養羊場羊肉卻已取代羊毛成為最大財源。 Since 1990, the value of New Zealand's annual exports of raw wool and manufactured wool products has declined to about $700 million from $1.2 billion, according to government data. By contrast, lamb and mutton exports have increased almost threefold to $2.3 billion. And dairy exports, worth $1.9 billion in 1992, have soared to $14.1 billion. 官方資料顯示,1990年以來每年羊毛和羊毛製品的出口額,從12億美元減為7億美元;羔羊肉和羊肉年出口額卻增為23億美元,幾乎是原來的三倍,乳製品出口額也從1992年的19億美元大增為141億。 New Zealand, with 4.4 million people, is the world's third-largest wool producer behind Australia and China, according to Beef and Lamb New Zealand, a farmer- owned industry group. It supplies 45 percent of all carpet wool globally, the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group said in a report last year. 紐西蘭牛羊肉協會(牛羊農同業組織)資料顯示,人口440萬的紐西蘭是全球第三大羊毛生產國,僅次於澳洲和中國大陸。去年澳盛銀行發布報告顯示,紐西蘭供應全球四成五的地毯用羊毛。 Yet more than 90 percent of New Zealand's wool is exported in raw form, rather than in finished products like carpets or upholstery, leaving it vulnerable to swings in commodity markets. 不過,紐西蘭羊毛逾九成以未加工形態出口,而非做成地毯、椅套等成品,易受原物料市場價格波動影響。 Farmers said the wool industry would benefit from having a unified voice to promote New Zealand wool abroad as a highend fiber that, in their view, beats synthetic alternatives in several categories, including overall quality and environmental sustainability. Having a single voice could help the industry reach beyond China, its primary export market by far, into relatively untapped markets like the United States. 許多羊農希望羊毛業團結起來,向海外宣傳紐西蘭羊毛是高檔纖維,在整體品質與促進環境永續發展等好幾個方面,(他們認為)都勝過人造纖維,這樣一定有幫助。一旦有統一的聲音,羊毛業就能在目前最大出口市場中國大陸以外,打入美國等相對未開發的市場。 But New Zealand's wool industry is viewed as highly fragmented. There were 35 wool exporters operating across the country last year, “a huge level of decentralization” given the industry's relatively modest export earnings, the Banking Group reported. 外界卻認為紐西蘭羊毛業分散得厲害。澳盛銀行指出,去年紐西蘭全國有35個羊毛出口業者,由於出口獲利相當微薄,這個產業可說是「極度分散」。 “Everyone's sort of undercutting each other,” said Ross Andrews, a South Island farmer who earns around $3 a kilogram for his carpet-grade wool. 南島羊農安德魯斯出售地毯級羊毛,每公斤約賺3美元,他說:「每個人多少都在削價競爭。」 Wool growers long assumed that their industry would somehow look after itself, but there is now a clear need to promote wool over synthetic fibers, said Sandra Faulkner, an industry advocate. According to an industry group, Beef and Lamb New Zealand, wool accounts for 1.3 percent of global fiber production and synthetics 61.4 percent. 行銷紐西蘭羊毛的桑德拉.福克納說,羊農一直以為羊毛業終究會挺過難關,不過現在真的有必要宣傳羊毛比人造纖維好。紐西蘭牛羊肉協會資料顯示,羊毛只占全球纖維產量1.3%,人造纖維卻占61.4% 。 “It's about identifying ourselves in the luxury marketplace, which is where we've always belonged,” Ms. Faulkner said. 福克納說:「我們要立足於精品市場,我們本來就屬於那裡。」 Peter Lyon, the supervisor of a South Island shearing team, said farmers' views on how the wool industry should evolve typically depend on factors like whether they have reliable export contractors, the quality of wool they produce and their level of debt. 南島剪羊毛團隊督導里昂說,羊農對於羊毛業何去何從的看法,常取決於某些因素,如他們有沒有可靠的出口貿易公司、生產羊毛的品質和債務的多寡。 In the mid-20th century, wool growers were often “asset-rich and cash-poor,” Mr. Lyon said . “But you can't afford to be cashpoor today or you'll get thrown out. ” 里昂說,20世紀中期羊農經常「資產多,現金少」,「但在這個時代,你不能沒現金,否則很難生存」。Source article: https://paper.udn.com/udnpaper/POH0067/268494/web/ Next Article Topic: Got Hangover ? The extraordinary Andrew Fraser joined me to discuss 1995's Clueless. Everybody sees it as a classic comedy but Andrew was able to tap into the depth behind the colourful costumes and jokes about fellatio. He then moved to Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2006, taking the opportunity to focus on bidding and the chance to work on much larger bids. He became part of WSP when Parsons Brinckerhoff was acquired by them in 2014. Throughout that time he has grown and developed the bidding function within the firm to what it is today – one of the best places to work.

Michael is joined by Andrew Fraser, NSW Nationals Chairman, regarding their feud with the Coalition over the proposed habitat protection of koalas. The National Party say they want to see a thriving koala population in NSW, even a doubling of the population, but the proposed State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) does not achieve this. It is a blunt instrument to make city-centric lawmakers feel good about themselves. For six months the NSW Nationals have sought to work collaboratively with the Liberal Party to ensure the State Environmental Planning Policy Koala Habitat Protection, which has replaced the Koala Habitat Protection (SEPP44), does not take away farmers’ property rights. The National Party brought forward a number of constructive and reasonable proposals but unfortunately the response from the Liberal Party suggests a lack of urgency and unwillingness to give ground on any substantive matters that greatly affect our regional communities. Peter Norris Dupas is the worst type of serial killer - a man who stalked women for decades and, police suspect, randomly killed six strangers. Convicted of the murders of Nicole Patterson and Margaret Maher he was the prime suspect in the murder of Mersina Halvagis, stabbed to death in 1997 in the Fawkner Cemetery tending her grandmother’s grave. It would take homicide investigators Jeff Maher and Paul Scarlett 13 years, two trials and a shock witness to get their man. This is the inside story on the pursuit of Peter Dupas and the fight for justice for Mersina Halvagis. Andrew Fraser, a lawyer police loved to hate, would become the star witness. We hear from Fraser, the police and the prosecutors on the 13 year journey that led to Dupas’ conviction and life sentence. Thanks for listening. CU in the NT, motherfuckers! Our first foray into the Top End covers the murder of Peter Falconio, a British tourist who was murdered while on holiday with his girlfriend, Joanne Lees, on a road trip from Sydney to Darwin. Bradley John Murdoch played the role of concerned fellow motorist when he signalled to Joanne and Pete to pull over, saying that sparks were coming out of the exhaust on their Kombi.Knowing that car trouble could lead to serious trouble if they were stranded on the Stuart Highway in the literal middle of nowhere in the remote Northern Territory Outback, Peter pulled over, checked the exhaust, and was then shot at point-blank range by Bradley Murdoch. Murdoch then handcuffed Joanne with homemade cuffs and pulled her into his car with the intention to do God-knows-what, but she managed to escape, hiding herself in the bush until Peter gave up and drove away.A massive (and somewhat flawed) police investigation followed. Locating the suspect took literal years, allegations of evidence contamination dogged the trial, and Joanne Lees was forced to physically demonstrate how she escaped from Murdoch before the jury before he was ultimately convicted of the crime.EPISODE NOTES:As we all know, most of Australia is essentially full of sweet fuck-all. For tourists, that’s part of the appeal – long stretches of road with nothing but blue skies and the wild Outback out the window. Joanne Lees and Peter Falconio had dreams of those blue skies when they came to Australia in 2001 on a working holiday visa. After working for a few months, they planned to drive from Sydney through to Adelaide and up to the Top End in an old orange Kombi van before heading to New Zealand and back home to the UK.Their dream Aussie holiday came to a tragic end when they happened upon Bradley John Murdoch on the Stuart Highway by Barrow Creek. The senseless murder of Peter Falconio (and Joanne Lee’s miracle escape) would make headlines across the world. The investigation into Peter’s murder would continue for years, and Joanne would fall prey to an unfriendly media who wouldn’t accept that her British stiff-upper-lip attitude after Peter’s murder was masking unmentionable pain.Bradley Murdoch, a drug runner and suspected rapist, would eventually be found guilty of Peter’s murder, but not before Joanne was found guilty in the court of public opinion. This case added to the atmosphere of fear generated by the Backpacker Murders that Australia was unsafe for tourists, and perhaps for good reason. The body of Peter Falconio has never been found. He is one of many people lost to the unforgiving Outback. You can watch the telemovie made about the case here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEMz1ACXF8g&fbclid=IwAR3ve6qxPn6GK_TLTodKQ2emccGyfJ5s69A5twjoj3DXKiLqKQ5ibg0MQloand the episode of Real Crime Stories covering the case can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28eb8c6FYEM&t=7s&fbclid=IwAR1WGsDgsETr2Kx5KnIZb-pgQoh56qSOt8x_CXagsgy1QesypWVaQ6OLA5QTo read more about the drama about the interview with Andrew Fraser, go here https://www.couriermail.com.au/ipad/channel-7-and-rahni-sadler-charged-over-bradley-john-murdoch-interview/news-story/90b3a9a4324e453fc7e161dfaadeb7fe?sv=f9980e182f0bb97134b47bcd07250b81&fbclid=IwAR1kcTLfzwPXXg7udSdKT9rtvZfy4qu7902l4YQVEvmXBDbJIuMyEm0xy04Of course, there’s always Casefile if you’d like a more scripted version of the case (this is just professional jealousy, the episode is really good) https://casefilepodcast.com/case-44-peter-falconio/If you like what we do please consider supporting us on PATREONSubscribe to the podcast on ITUNES, STITCHER, SPOTIFY or your podcatcher of choice.Find us on FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM or EMAIL us on murderinthelandofoz@gmail.comwww.thatsnotcanonproductions.com
