So, What Exactly Is a Trump Account? Episode 379 – Trump Accounts were just signed into law last July, and they are undeniably popular. Are they worth looking into? More SML Planning Minute Podcast Episodes Transcript of Podcast Episode 379 Hello, this is Bill Rainaldi, with another edition of Security Mutual's SML Planning Minute. In today's episode: So what exactly is a Trump Account? These new investment accounts have generated a great deal of media attention in the past few months. How do they work, and is it worth setting one up? A Trump Account is a new form of tax-advantaged savings for children that was introduced as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed in July 2025. The basic idea is to give children a head start with their savings at a very young age. To be eligible, a child must be under age 18 on December 31 of the year the account is created. Up to $5,000 in annual contributions are allowed, indexed for inflation. With Trump Accounts, of the $5,000 annual contribution limit, up to $2,500 per year can come from each parent's employer and will not count toward parents' taxable income, providing incentive for contributions to Trump Accounts. Please consult with your employer regarding this opportunity. Children born between 2025 and 2028 also receive a special incentive, a $1,000 additional contribution from the federal government, referred to as “seed money.” The child must be a U.S. citizen with a Social Security number to qualify for this additional contribution.[1] There is no monetary requirement to receive the $1,000 government contribution, providing further incentive to create one. And, this $1,000 government contribution does not count toward the $5,000 annual limit, raising the maximum available deposit in year one to $6,000. Investments in the account are generally made after-tax. In other words, you don't receive a tax deduction for contributing to a Trump Account. While the child is growing up, a Trump Account has similarities to a custodial or Uniform Gifts to Minors Act (UGMA) account. The account is owned by the child but managed by an adult custodian, presumably the parent or grandparent who set it up. The custodian is responsible for any investment decisions. Withdrawals are generally prohibited before the child reaches age 18. Once the child reaches age 18, the account is treated in many ways like a traditional IRA account, including the 10 percent penalty tax for withdrawals before age 59½. Starting at age 18, the child—now legally an adult—can withdraw as much of the account as he or she wants. Earnings are tax-deferred while still in the account, but generally taxable when withdrawn.[2] This does not apply to the original contributions however, which were made with after-tax dollars. There are restrictions on where the money can be invested. Before the account transitions to a traditional IRA at age 18, it can only be invested in low-cost stock mutual funds or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) that track an index of primarily American equities, such as the S&P 500.[3] Note that you can enroll your child for a Trump Account now, but the accounts themselves won't actually be made active until July 2026. You can sign up through the government portal, at Trumpaccounts.gov. It's still very early, but some experts have already pointed out a potential “hack” which could make Trump Accounts especially valuable.[4] It starts by assuming that the parent contributes the full $5,000 for 18 years. By the time the child retires in the distant future, with compound growth over many years, the value of the account could be quite significant. The money is available for withdrawal when the child reaches age 18. But what if, as a young adult, the individual converts the account to a Roth IRA? The accumulated gains in the account would be taxable at the time of conversion, but once inside the Roth, withdrawals are generally tax-free once you reach age 59½. A recent Wall Street Journal article goes through an example assuming an account receives the $1,000 government seed money, plus $5,000 per year until age 18. The example assumes the money remains in the account. At age 24, assuming a 7 percent annual return, the account would be worth just over $278,000. At that point he or she converts to a Roth IRA and pays the tax through an outside source. If the money stays in the account and continues to grow, it will be worth just over $3 million by the time he or she reaches age 59½, again assuming the 7 percent return. Once he or she is past age 59½, any withdrawals are then completely tax-free.[5] Age 24 was chosen for the example because at that age, the account holder is now past any “kiddie tax” considerations, but presumably also well before his/her peak earnings (and highest tax bracket) years. The sooner the money gets into the Roth, the better.[6] And as with a traditional IRA, it is possible to spread the conversion over several years if preferred. The “kiddie tax” is an IRS rule that taxes a child’s unearned income (investments, interest, and dividends) at their parents’ higher marginal tax rates rather than the child’s lower rate. Please consult your tax advisor if you think this situation may apply to you. Even though they're just getting started, Trump Accounts have already become popular. By mid-March 2026, four million children had already been signed up for the accounts which, as mentioned, will activate in July of 2026. These kids are all off to a great start. On the surface, it appears the $1,000 of government seed money is something we don't always see: a government program that works as it was intended to! Prioritizing joy-led content creation, leaning into email, and building a sustainable business as a food creator with Ashlea Carver from All the Healthy Things. ----- Welcome to episode 565 of The Food Blogger Pro Podcast! This week on the podcast, Bjork interviews Ashlea Carver from All the Healthy Things. How to Keep Creating Without Burning Out Ashlea Carver has been creating food content for ten years, and in that time she's built a well-rounded and financially diversified businesses. But longevity in this industry isn't just about strategy — it's about learning how to navigate the harder parts of being a creator online. In this episode, Ashlea and Bjork dig into the mindset shifts that have kept her going — how she handles comparison and how she's made a deliberate choice to lead with joy in her business decisions to avoid burnout. They also get into the practical side of her business — why her blog is still her most valuable platform and biggest revenue driver, why she's prioritizing email, and how she thinks about Instagram in an era where personality-forward content is so important. It's an honest conversation about building a business that lasts — one that doesn't burn you out, doesn't make you dependent on any single platform, and actually feels good to run. Three episode takeaways: Why slowing down is one of the most important things you can do for your business — Ashlea shares why she carves out intentional time a few times a year for an "owner's retreat" — a dedicated window to step back, assess what's working and what isn't, and make decisions from a place of clarity rather than reaction. She and Bjork talk about the difference between being driven by purpose versus being driven by numbers, and why leaning into joy is a legitimate business strategy. Why your blog and email list are still your most valuable assets — Ashlea shares why her blog remains her biggest revenue driver and why owning your platform matters now more than ever. She also explains how she's built an email strategy around three weekly broadcasts, what she's experimenting with on the paid subscriber side, and why email is the best buffer she has against algorithm changes. How Ashlea is thinking about AI, Instagram, and the future of her brand — From her decision to bring more personality into her content as a direct response to the rise of AI, to her thoughtful reluctance to lean too heavily into AI tools in her own workflow, Ashlea shares a refreshingly intentional approach to showing up online. She also breaks down what her monetization mix actually looks like — ad revenue, sponsored content, affiliate — and why she hired an agency to help manage brand partnerships. Get ready because this ain't your grandma's Bigfoot, as will be shown by ace researcher Ashlea Stinnett. We explore the profound reality in which Sasquatch are revealed as highly intelligent beings capable of shape-shifting into human form to walk undetected among us in our own city parks. Through our field research, we document the connection between these beings and intelligent orbs of light that respond to human telepathy, as well as the existence of interdimensional “airports” where various entities transition between realms. If we open our consciousness to these experiences and the artistic glyphs left behind, we can learn from their ancient wisdom to become kinder and more harmonious inhabitants of this magical world. This is a perfect offering for the holiday season. For me this season is about coming forth from darkness, for celebrating the light within self and others, for giving love to those that give love. There are Others all around us, there is a world unseen to those that have been in amnesia, and, as more people start to awaken to these Others' they start to awaken to Self, the Deaming self. What is it to have a deeper connection to the natural world and the mysteries of something more than us, how contained have we been. . . This is such a rich conversation and I do hope you enjoy the wonderment of it. Step into the magical world and see what has been there all along. *This was recorded on the 3rd of Nov 2025. Ashlea Aldrich, a 29-year-old mother from the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, was found deceased in a field on the reservation in January 2020, with her death officially ruled an accident caused by hypothermia and alcohol, though her family strongly disputes this and believes she was the victim of long-standing domestic violence that authorities failed to adequately address. Stacy Hill, a 17-year-old from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Tribe in Minnesota, went missing in September 2009, and her remains were discovered weeks later on the Red Lake Reservation; her case also remains unsolved, with few publicly released details about what happened to her. Both women's deaths remain open and unresolved, and their stories highlight the broader crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, as well as ongoing concerns about under-investigation, lack of accountability, and the struggle of Native families seeking justice. OFFICIAL WEBSITE: https://ashleapiefer.com/From a young age, I felt a deep connection to energies that most people can't see—the world beyond the physical realm. I perceived spirits, entities, and subtle forces that shaped our reality. It was overwhelming and isolating initially. I felt different, as though I didn't belong. I believed I was alone in these experiences, wondering if perhaps something was wrong with me. However, as I grew older, everything changed. I experienced a profound spiritual awakening that completely shifted my perspective on life. I realized that I wasn't crazy—I was tapping into dimensions and frequencies that few understood. This awakening opened me to the profound knowledge that true fulfillment doesn't come from material possessions, no matter how perfect they may appear on the surface. True fulfillment arises from within, by recognizing the value of our energy and the significance of life itself. Through this awakening, I began connecting with cosmic beings and ascended masters—the Pleiadians, Syrians, Andromedans, and the ancient Dragon Mothers—who taught me profound truths about consciousness, energy, and the divine feminine. As I continued to study ancient wisdom, neuroplasticity, and the mysteries of the universe, I came to realize that everything is interconnected. I could see how energy flows through everything, from the physical body to the unseen realms. My journey hasn't been without challenges. I've faced adversity and trauma, including the experience of homelessness at 15. But every obstacle and experience has shaped who I am today. These trials led me to a life of deep introspection and ultimately to my calling as a spiritual guide and meditation coach. Now, I dedicate my life to helping others reconnect with their true, authentic selves. Through mindfulness, meditation, ancient teachings, and spiritual guidance, I help individuals transcend limiting beliefs and harness the power of their energy. My mission is to guide you through your journey—whether you're awakening to your psychic gifts, seeking peace amidst chaos, or learning to navigate the unseen dimensions that surround us. It's not about perfection. It's about progress, remembering who you are at your core, and finding peace within. If my story resonates with you and you're seeking something more profound, know that you are not alone. I'm here, walking the path with you, ready to guide you back to your true self. In 2010, tonight's guest, Ashlea Stinnett, moved into a house that was located just off the Columbia River Gorge, in Oregon, with her partner. The house was on a hill, so Ashlea had a good view of the Columbia River. Not long after moving in, Ashlea and her partner started to have UFO sightings, while sitting on their two-story deck. Those UFO sightings piqued her interest in paranormal phenomena in the Pacific Northwest. Not long after researching such phenomena there, in the PNW, she discovered the rich history of Sasquatch sightings. That discovery lead her to meeting people who were well versed, when it came to Sasquatch. Fast forward to 2013, which is when she had her first Sasquatch-related experience, on Mount Adams, in Washington State. That was far from the only experience she'd ever have with them, however. Many more experiences were yet to come, including a full-on sighting last September. We hope you'll tune in and listen to her share that sighting and a lot of other experiences she's had with you.If you'd like to visit Ashlea's YouTube Channel, which we hope you will, please go to…https://www.youtube.com/@cryptocryptid1487If you've had a Bigfoot sighting and would like to be a guest, on the show, please go to https://MyBigfootSighting.com and let us know. Burnout is a complex health syndrome that we seem to be hearing more cases of everyday. I am seeing it more and more in workplaces and working with people moving trough big life transitions. So I have been deeply curious about it for the last couple of years and wanting to talk to a guest about it on my podcast. Who better to discuss than Dr Ashlea Broomfield - The Vitality Doctor.Dr Ash is a specialist GP, sexologist, Mind-Body Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Meditation Coach and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. Dr Ash is invested in her patients health holistically, she is invested in supporting patients to flourish holistically as a whole person, mentally, physically, sexually and spiritually.Today we talked about Burnout. What is it? How does it come about? Is it a workplace issue or a cultural issue. Given the culture we live in how can we resource and nourish our bodies to ensure this doesn't happen to us. We talked about the body as a whole system and that our health exists and is influenced by the environments that we exist within. We also discussed:- Women's menstruality, their menarche, motherhood and menopause and how these big changes to our endocrine system and the roles that we take up in life impact our mental and physical health;- Chronic workplace stress that is not being managed well;- What the conditions are that set someone up for burnout, as defined by the world health organisation (WHO);- How the working conditions and the 40 hour work week were created 150 years ago when we had more community support for families and roles and expectations for parents were very different;- Burnout as a complex systemic issue and what are the solutions that we can put in place to solve it;- It starts with us as individuals being clear about our own limits and boundaries and learning to identify what a YES and NO feels like in our body.Dr Ash really has fantastic perspective on this so make sure you listen to the very end because there are some really wise words she has for all of us. If you would like to connect with Dr Ash you can find her at drashleabroomfield.com.au, on instagram @thevitalitydoctor. On facebook Dr Ashlea Broomfield - The Vitality Doctor.

Our favorite costume party is ready to commence, and what better occasion to acknowledge the most infamous of the cryptid-hominid demographic than Halloween. "Scientists" remain skeptical that "Bigfoot" is a reality, but it's difficult to wholly dismiss centuries of folklore and countless first-hand accounts celebrating the existence of this hairy wild man sporting a size 37AA moccasin. Known by many names across a diversity of cultures, Yeti, Sasquatch, Skookum and abominable snowman to name just a few, the enigmatic "Squatch" has continued to capture the investigative curiosity of many due to his reputed shape-shifting & telepathic abilities, as much as his uniquely large stature and reclusive demeanor. Ashlea Stinnett will be our anthropological guide on this Alfacast for good reason. She had her first encounter with the Sasquatch People in 2013. This began an incredible adventure of friendship, student/teacher relationship, and continuous interactions with the Sasquatch People through intentional camping trips in their known homelands across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Video documentation of her adventures are available on the YouTube channel Ashlea Stinnett @cryptocryptid1487, and on Tik Tok @crypto_cryptid. Ashlea was featured in the documentary A Flash of Beauty: Paranormal Bigfoot, which can be found on all streaming services. Ashlea also publishes planners and journals through KDP that feature the personal photography that she takes during her intentional connection camp outs of Sasquatch related artifacts, glyphs, footprints and the majestic nature of their homelands, which can be purchased through Amazon. The remote Alfa Vedic farm is ground zero Bigfoot country, and everyone here from local Yurok to the backwoods folk will entertain with their personal close encounter experiences. This week the South African camera operator and steadicam operator, Ashlea Downes. Among Ashlea's credits are the popular Netflix series Bridgerton on which she is working with a previous guest on this podcast, Alicia Robbins. Ashlea has also worked on House of the Dragon, Wicked, Skyfall, Spider-Man: Far From Home and His Dark Materials. Ashlea was born in Pretoria, South African in 1985. Her father, Ant, was an accountant and business owner, and her mother, Alex, an artist and art teacher. Her brother, Scott, is a hand painted sign artist. Ashlea grew up enjoying sports and the outdoors; she was a competitive rider, taking after her mother who was a keen horsewoman. She also swam, played water polo and netball but academia was not her rap. Instead she followed her father's interest in photography and her mother's talent for art. Her love of wildlife gave her aspirations to be a wildlife documentary filmmaker so it was no surprise that these influences steered her to the AFDA Film School where she graduated with a degree in Cinematography. After college, her relentless determination and ambition to break into the industry opened up opportunities that would prove the foundation of her career, and soon she would find herself being called up for the Bond movie Skyfall filming in Turkey and then to the UK to film at the London Olympics. A turning point in her career was moving to the UK shortly after where she met her partner and found steady work from trainee to 2nd AC/ loader and then making her mark as a camera operator. Ashlea lives between Reading, England and Cape Town, South Africa with her husband Karl Taggart. She is currently working as a camera operator on Season 4 of Bridgerton. Ashlea Piefer, also known as Metaphysical Ash, is a catalyst for personal and organizational transformation through customized events, workshops, speaking engagements, and one-on-one education. Her journey commenced with a transformative spontaneous Kundalini awakening, navigating misunderstood physical ailments, and making profound shifts in mindset, diet, and behavior over the years. This awakening, which included interdimensional and extraterrestrial contact, ignited her mission to help others experiencing similar paths. Having spent years in self-study, Ashlea's journey began in childhood with experiences of psychic sensitivities. As a teenager, she delved into the occult, which eventually led her to more practical applications as an adult, studying neuroscience and the psychology of thought patterns. Through her understanding of how these patterns contribute to our reality, Ashlea creates transformational workshops and events, utilizing guided meditation to shift individuals at a foundational and frequency level. Her mission is to awaken individual authenticity, honor uniqueness, and promote unity, understanding, and acceptance. Guided by foundational principles, Ashlea empowers others to embrace their specific authenticity and understand their vital role within the greater whole of creation. Apart from her work, Ashlea finds joy in nature, dancing, and music, enriching her connection to the universe and her inner self.

Ashlea and I talk more about what it can look like to ‘simplify to amplify' in all aspects of our life. Growing up in a generation that's big on ‘quitters don't win, and winners don't quit', we think that chasing (and achieving) the next big thing will FINALLY make us feel like we're enough, and prove our worth. Unfortunately, this is why soooo many of us are frazzled, overwhelmed, and pretty much drowning in the day to day. Instead of trying to do ALL.THE.THINGS, what if we chose to focus on one specific thing that we were lit up about, and actually made sense in our current season of life? Ashlea Stricker is a farm wife, mom of 3 boys, and hairstylist living in a rural town in central Iowa. When she's not chasing her boys or helping out on the farm, you can find her reading her favorite book, or watching Gilmore Girls (with a coffee in hand, and of course, avoiding laundry at all costs). Ashlea is a big dreamer and she loves cheering others on - she is a self-proclaimed cheerleader and your biggest hype girl! In this episode, we cover: What Ashlea's journey of ‘simplifying' has looked like Why so many of us are frazzled, overwhelmed, and exhausted all the time Prioritizing one main thing, instead of thinking you need to be doing #allthethings Digging deep into the ‘mental weight' that you're holding onto regarding expectations and limiting beliefs + how to shift to more empowering thoughts Showing others that it's actually okay to QUIT something when it's just not the best fit for you anymore Adjusting our level of expectation for the season of life we're in + letting go of the ‘perfectionism' tendencies that plague so many of us Focusing on what you truly want in the season of life you're in + giving yourself permission to grow and evolve along the way Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry EVOLVE Developing Entrepreneur Mastermind EVOLVE Scaling Entrepreneur Mastermind Get your Monthly Mileage Tracker here Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! Ashlea Hearn is not only a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Reserves but also the author of Genesis Mortalis, Book 1 of the Take It Trilogy. We met when she reached out to me about the upcoming release of that book. But here's what's relevant: by that point, I had noticed this lovely person named Ashlea Hearn reviewing me wherever she could—different books, this podcast, on Google...everywhere.But here's what I really noticed: she wasn't just slapping a review up there in order to "do the right thing" but crafting thoughtful, in-depth analysis that showed she really had taken in and appreciated the work. (Her review of Party Girl still comes up as "Most Relevant," which is Amazon speak for "the most thoughtful one.")Because of all this, not only was I delighted to speak to her about her book but when she declared me her "mentor," I happily took on the role. And it's been nothing but rewarding as I've watched her jump into life and authorhood with enthusiasm and gumption. Then, like the amazing mentee she is, she flew out for a book party I had for one of my clients and made so many friends that when I showed up for breakfast the next morning to meet some, she was there! So that's our back story. Here's her back story. She started writing as a little girl because it was a fascinating escape from what she considered to be a mundane life of a girl from the Midwest. At an early age, she fell in love with the suaveness of James Bond, the action of Mission: Impossible, the gore and badassery of Kill Bill: Volume 1 and the relatable female characters of Totally Spies!—all of which influenced the Take It book series.Listen in on this chat between a mentee and a thoroughly delighted mentor!FOR MORE INFO ABOUT THE PODCAST AND OTHER STUFF, GO TO WWW.ONGOODAUTHORITYPOD.COM!
Brandi starts us off with a story that's as bizarre as it is upsetting. Ashlea Ann Harris was, most likely, exhausted. She was an assistant manager at American Eagle, and she'd spent hours preparing the store for Black Friday. When she finally arrived home, it was the wee hours of the morning. She chatted for a while with a friend who'd come over to check on her dog, and then, presumably, fell asleep. But just a few hours later, one of her neighbors called 911. He told the dispatcher that he suspected Ashlea's apartment was on fire. Then Kristin talks about the heartbreaking and infuriating conviction of Michael Politte. When Michael was just 14 years old, he woke up one morning to discover that his mother was dead. She'd been bludgeoned to death. Her body had been set on fire. When police arrived on the scene, they were horrified by Michael's behavior. He didn't seem sad enough. He wasn't emotional enough. So, Michael quickly became the prime suspect. Early one morning in the winter of 2014, firefighters arrived at the River Ranch Apartments in Fort Worth, Texas. Neighbors pointed them toward the source of the fire – Ashlea Ann Harris' apartment. They began extinguishing the blaze And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia. (No shade, Wikipedia. We love you.) We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the real experts who covered these cases.
