Da die meisten KFZ-Verträge zum 31.12. eines Jahres kündbar sind, ist es sinnvoll, rechtzeitig einen Blick darauf zu werfen. Denn auch in diesem Jahr sagt die Prognose: Die Prämien in der Kfz-Versicherung werden erneut steigen. Somit werden viele Verbraucher im kommenden Jahr mehr Geld für ihre Kfz-Versicherung in die Hand nehmen müssen. Dennoch sollten sie nicht übereilt ihren Vertrag kündigen, um in einen günstigeren Tarif zu wechseln. Der Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV) sagt: „In der Kfz-Versicherung ist Geiz nicht immer geil, der günstigere Tarif ist oft nicht die bessere Alternative. Was man an der Prämie spart, zahlt man im Schadenfall eventuell doppelt und dreifach drauf, wenn die Leistungen des Billigtarifs nicht ausreichend sind.“ Bei der Suche nach einer Kfz-Versicherung sollte daher immer die Leistungsstärke im Vordergrund stehen und nicht der Preis. Zudem ist es nicht immer nötig, den Tarif zu wechseln, um an der Prämie zu sparen. Eventuell lohnt sich beispielsweise der Wechsel von der oftmals teureren Voll- in die Teilkaskoversicherung. Doch Vorsicht: Hat man eine gute Schadenfreiheitsklasse, kann die Vollkaskoversicherung sogar günstiger sein als der Teilkaskoschutz. Wer sparen will, sollte zudem prüfen, ob sich andere Parameter geändert haben, die Einfluss auf die Prämie haben: Hat sich der Kreis der Fahrer verkleinert? Ist die Jahreskilometerlaufleistung geringer geworden? Steht das Auto nachts mittlerweile in einer Garage statt an der öffentlichen Straße? Das alles kann die Prämie verringern. Gleiches gilt für eine Erhöhung des Selbstbehalts. Ist man mit dem bisherigen Versicherer zufrieden, kann es sich auch lohnen, direkt bei ihm nach einem besseren Angebot zu fragen. „Haken Sie bei Ihrer Kfz-Versicherung nach, ob sie durch die Umstellung auf einen aktuellen Tarif sparen können, ohne dass sich die Leistungen verschlechtern“, empfiehlt der BdV. Auch wer bereits einen interessanten Tarif bei einer anderen Versicherung entdeckt hat, sollte den Fokus auf die Leistungen legen. Die Tarife haben teilweise sehr unterschiedliche Leistungsniveaus. Verbraucher sollten daher unbedingt ihren alten Vertrag mit dem neuen Angebot vergleichen. „Leistet beispielsweise der neue – vermeintlich günstigere – Kaskoversicherer nicht beim Zusammenstoß mit Tieren aller Art und ein fremder Hund rennt vor das Fahrzeug und verursacht einen Schaden, müsste die Reparatur aus eigener Tasche gezahlt werden. (BdV) gibt Tipps zum richtigen Versicherungsschutz und Verhalten    Im Herbst steigt das Unfallrisiko durch vermehrten Wildwechsel - insbesondere in den Morgenstunden und in der Dämmerung. Zwar verursachen die meisten Wildunfälle nur Blechschäden, doch auch diese können teuer werden. Vor den Folgekosten schützt die richtige Versicherung. „Wenn man lediglich eine Kfz-Haftpflichtversicherung abgeschlossen hat, muss man nach einem Wildunfall die Schäden am eigenen Auto selbst zahlen“, sagt man beim Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV). Schäden durch Wildunfälle werden von der Kaskoversicherung übernommen – sofern diese vorhanden ist. Aber auch hier kommt es aufs Kleingedruckte an. Mehr als 280.000 Wildunfälle mit einer durchschnittlichen Schadenhöhe von 3.850 Euro zählten die deutschen Kfz-Versicherer allein im Jahr 2023 – laut Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft e.V. (GDV). In der Teil- und in der Vollkaskoversicherung ist ein Zusammenstoß mit Haarwild versichert. Zum Haarwild zählen unter anderem Füchse, Hasen, Hirsche und Rehe sowie Wildschweine. „Die Kaskoversicherung übernimmt diese Schäden. Aber nicht alle Unfälle mit Tieren sind automatisch mitversichert“, so der BdV. Denn der Kasko-Versicherungsschutz hat Lücken: So sind beispielsweise Unfälle mit Nutz- und Haustieren sowie Kollisionen mit Federwild, Wölfen oder Waschbären nicht immer abgedeckt. „Solche Schäden werden nur übernommen, wenn die Bedingungen die sogenannte erweiterte Wildschadenklausel enthalten, die ausdrücklich einen Zusammenstoß mit Tieren jeder Art einschließt“, sagt man beim Bund der Versicherten e. V. Gut zu wissen: In der Teilkaskoversicherung hat ein Wildunfall keine negativen Auswirkungen auf den Schadenfreiheitsrabatt. In der Vollkaskoversicherung müssen betroffene Versicherte hingegen mit einer Rückstufung der Schadenfreiheitsklasse rechnen. Auch für die anschließende Schadenregulierung ist es wichtig, sich schon am Unfallort korrekt zu verhalten. Zunächst sollte die Unfallstelle abgesichert und die Polizei benachrichtigt werden. Das angefahrene Tier sollte man auf keinen Fall anfassen oder von der Unfallstelle entfernen, da sonst eine Anzeige wegen Wilderei droht. Betroffene sollten am Unfallort oder in sicherer Entfernung auf das Eintreffen der Polizei oder der zuständigen Wildaufsicht warten. Die aktuellen Wirtschaftsnachrichten mit Michael Weyland  Thema heute:     Einschränkung des Widerrufsrechts: Ausgehöhlte Widerrufsmöglichkeit beschneidet Verbraucherrechte    Die aktuelle Änderung des Verbrauchervertrags- und Versicherungsvertragsrechts schränkt das Widerrufsrecht ein und benachteiligt Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher. Das moniert der Hamburger Verbraucherschutzverein Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV). Künftig soll das Widerrufsrecht nach spätestens zwölf Monaten und 14 Tagen enden – bei Lebensversicherungen nach 24 Monaten und 30 Tagen, selbst wenn grundlegende Informationen des Unternehmens zum Vertrag falsch sind oder fehlen. Bisher wurden die Versicherer in solchen Fällen mit empfindlichen Konsequenzen zur Einhaltung ihrer Informationspflichten angehalten.  Denn solange die Versicherten nicht richtig informiert waren, begann die Widerrufsfrist nicht zu laufen. Sie konnten den Vertrag mit einem Widerruf auch Jahre später ohne Kostennachteile auflösen. Da insbesondere die Auflösung eines Lebensversicherungsvertrages erhebliche Kostennachteile bedeutet, ist das eine attraktive Vertragsoption. Mit einer Nachbelehrung konnte der Versicherer indes sein Versäumnis jederzeit nachholen und die Frist von 30 Tagen in Gang setzen. Doch die rechtssichere Möglichkeit wählte in der Vergangenheit kaum ein Versicherer. Stattdessen wehrten die Unternehmen die Widerrufsrechte ihrer Kunden mit juristischen Mitteln ab. Ihre häufigsten Argumente: der Informationsfehler ist nebensächlich und das Verhalten der Versicherungskunden treuwidrig. In der Folge kam es zu Massenverfahren vor den schnell überlasteten Gerichten und zu einer bedenklich unübersichtlichen Rechtsprechung. „Die bisherige Regelung zum Widerrufsrecht war einfach und konsequent. Jetzt zieht der Gesetzgeber weichgekocht vom ewigen Lamentieren der Versicherer und der Justiz dem Verbraucherschutz den Stecker. Künftig bleiben selbst gravierende Verstöße gegen Informationspflichten nahezu folgenlos. Stellt ein Verbraucher zu spät fest, dass Angaben seines Versicherers nicht stimmen, kann er nur noch mit hohen Verlusten aus einem mängelbelasteten Lebensversicherungsvertrag aussteigen“, sagt man beim BdV-Vorstand. Hinzu kommt, dass es den Verbrauchern deutlich schwerer gemacht worden ist, ihre Widerrufsrechte bei Versicherungsverträgen zu verstehen. Denn der Gesetzgeber hat das Muster für eine Widerrufsbelehrung, das die Versicherer als vermeintlich rechtssichere Variante verwenden sollen, mittlerweile auf mehr als 2.500 Wörter anwachsen lassen. Betriebsrentenstärkungsgesetz Der Bund Deutscher Vermögensberater (BDV) begrüßt zwar die Absicht der Bundesregierung, mit einem 2. Betriebsrentenstärkungsgesetz die betriebliche Altersversorgung (bAV) insbesondere im Mittelstand zu fördern. Doch die vorgesehene Öffnung des Sozialpartnermodells für nicht tarifgebundene Unternehmen hält der Verband für praxisfern. BDV-Vorsitzender Dr. Helge Lach kritisiert, dass die Direktversicherung im Mittelstand längst etabliert sei und die Reform daher „ins Leere“ gehe. Zudem erschwerten hohe Komplexität und Restriktionen die bAV-Einführung in kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen. ifo-Studie: Viele Selbständige zweifeln an Altersvorsorge Mehr als die Hälfte der Selbständigen ist unsicher, ob ihre Altersvorsorge den Lebensstandard im Ruhestand sichern kann. Laut ifo Institut halten 32 % ihre Vorsorge für unzureichend, weitere 22 % sind unsicher. Nur 46 % sehen sich ausreichend abgesichert. Zwar verfügen 97 % über mindestens eine Vorsorgeform, meist Fonds, Wertpapiere, Immobilien oder private Rentenversicherungen. Knapp die Hälfte hat zudem Ansprüche aus der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung. Je mehr Vorsorgeoptionen kombiniert werden, desto höher ist das Gefühl finanzieller Sicherheit. DEVK-Studie: Frauen tragen Verantwortung für Altersvorsorge, bleiben aber oft unsicher Drei von vier Frauen kümmern sich eigenständig um ihre Altersvorsorge, zeigt eine repräsentative Civey-Umfrage im Auftrag der DEVK. Dennoch bleibt die finanzielle Sicherheit fragil: Ursachen sind Teilzeitarbeit, geringes Einkommen und Familienphasen. Laut GDV lag die durchschnittliche Rente von Frauen 2023 bei 936 €, deutlich weniger als bei Männern (1.427 €). Bei Vorsorgelösungen wünschen sich Frauen vor allem Garantien (49 %), niedrige Kosten (41 %) und Flexibilität (25 %). HDI Global: Deutschlandgeschäft treibt Halbjahresergebnis HDI Global hat im ersten Halbjahr 2025 Umsatz und Gewinn deutlich gesteigert. Der Versicherungsumsatz stieg währungsbereinigt um 8 % auf 5,1 Mrd. €, das EBIT um 24 % auf 377 Mio. €. Die Schaden-/Kostenquote blieb mit 91,6 % im Zielkorridor. Wesentlichen Anteil am Erfolg hatte die deutsche Niederlassung, die über alle Sparten hinweg im Neugeschäft zulegen konnte. Wenn man dabei nicht gerade in arktischen Gefilden unterwegs ist, kann es da auch heiß oder eventuell sogar noch heißer sein, aber wer bei hohen Temperaturen nicht arbeiten, sondern relaxen kann, der übersteht das im Allgemeinen leichter. Bei der Urlaubsplanung sollte aber unbedingt auch an das Thema Versicherungen gedacht werden. „Ein Unfall oder eine Krankheit auf Reisen trüben nicht nur das Urlaubsvergnügen, sie können ohne den passenden Versicherungsschutz auch sehr teuer werden“, sagt man beim Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV). Der Verbraucherschutzverein erläutert, welche Versicherungen Reisende wirklich brauchen und welche sie sich sparen können. Die wichtigste Versicherung für Urlauber, die es ins Ausland zieht, ist die Auslandsreisekrankenversicherung (ARKV). Sie kommt für Heilbehandlungen im Ausland und einen medizinisch notwendigen Rücktransport auf, die nicht von der gesetzlichen Krankenkasse übernommen werden. „Wichtig ist, dass der gewählte Tarif bereits dann den Rücktransport zahlt, wenn er medizinisch sinnvoll und vertretbar ist“, sagt der BdV. Außerdem sollte auch die Behandlung einer Erkrankung mitversichert sein, die bereits vor Reisebeginn bestand, und sich während der Reise verschlechtert. Reisekrankenversicherungen, die über Kreditkarten oder Buchungsportale abgeschlossen wurden, bieten oft nur eingeschränkten Schutz – etwa nur bei Kartenzahlung der Reise, mit Altersgrenzen oder zu niedrigen Versicherungssummen. Eine eigenständige Auslandsreisekrankenversicherung ARKV bietet ein deutlich höheres Schutzniveau. Reisegepäck- und -rücktrittversicherungen sind grundsätzlich eher ungeeignet: Sie sichern zum einen keine Risiken ab, die den Lebensstandard wirtschaftlich gefährden und zum anderen ist oftmals nicht nachvollziehbar, wann Versicherte tatsächlich eine Leistung erwarten können. „Auch von Versicherungspaketen, die mehrere Reisepolicen bündeln, rät man ab – sie wirken umfassend, bieten aber oft lückenhaften Schutz. Für die Reisekrankenversicherung ist ein eigenständiger Vertrag sinnvoll und grundlegende Risiken wie Haftpflicht oder Arbeitskraftverlust sollten generell über solide Einzelpolicen mit weltweitem Schutz abgesichert sein“, sagt der BdV. (BdV) empfiehlt Privathaftpflicht und Diebstahlschutz als wichtige Begleiter auf Radtouren Es ist kaum zu glauben, aber 37,4 Millionen Menschen in Deutschland nutzten 2023 das Rad in Urlaub und Freizeit, das zeigt die aktuelle Radreiseanalyse des ADFC. Die Zahl der klassischen Radreisen mit mindestens drei Übernachtungen war zwar rückläufig, dafür nahmen aber die Tagesausflüge zu: 36,4 Millionen Deutsche unternahmen 455 Millionen Tagesradtouren. „Vor einer Radtour sollte man neben dem Fahrradcheck auch den Versicherungsschutz prüfen. Wichtig ist insbesondere eine Privathaftpflichtversicherung. Für Diebstahlschutz gibt es verschiedene Absicherungsoptionen“, sagt der Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV). Eine private Haftpflichtversicherung gehört nicht nur auf Radtouren zur unverzichtbaren Grundausstattung. Wer anderen einen Schaden zufügt – etwa bei einem selbst verschuldeten Fahrradunfall mit Personenschaden oder Beschädigung von fremdem Eigentum – muss dafür geradestehen. In solchen Fällen springt die Privathaftpflichtversicherung ein. „Auch das Fahrrad selbst sowie mitgeführtes Gepäck lassen sich unterwegs absichern – über die Hausratversicherung. Sie leistet bei Einbruchdiebstahl, vorausgesetzt, das Rad wird in einem verschlossenen Raum aufbewahrt. Zum Beispiel im Hotelkeller oder im Abstellraum einer Ferienunterkunft“. Möchten Verbraucher ihr Fahrrad zusätzlich gegen einfachen Diebstahl absichern, ist dies in der Regel gegen einen Beitragszuschlag über die Hausratversicherung möglich. In vielen Premiumtarifen ist dieses Risiko bereits automatisch abgedeckt. „Zahlreiche Versicherer bieten inzwischen einen 24-Stunden-Schutz an“, erklärt der BdV. „Dann greift der Versicherungsschutz auch nachts – etwa zwischen 22 und 6 Uhr –, solange das Fahrrad an einem festen Gegenstand wie einem Laternenmast angeschlossen war.“ Unser Tipp: Fragen Sie vor Reisebeginn bei Ihrer Versicherung nach, welche Bedingungen genau gelten – und lassen Sie sich den Schutz schriftlich bestätigen. Vor Radtouren im Ausland sollte vorab mit der Versicherung geklärt werden, ob der Versicherungsschutz auch im jeweiligen Reiseland gilt.  Für hochwertige Fahrräder und E-Bikes lohnt sich der Blick auf spezielle Fahrradversicherungen. (BdV): Diese Policen sorgen für einen entspannten Trip mit Wohnmobil, Zelt & Co.         Campingreisen liegen im Trend – ob mit dem ausgebauten Kastenwagen, dem Wohnwagen oder ganz klassisch mit dem Zelt. Der Verbraucherschutzverein Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV) erklärt, welche Versicherungen für Campingreisende unverzichtbar sind. „Hat man sich vor dem Urlaub einmal mit seinem Versicherungsschutz beschäftigt, kann man entspannter losfahren“, sagt man beim BdV. „Ein Muss für alle ist die private Haftpflichtversicherung – auch auf Reisen.“ Je nach Ausstattung, Reiseziel und Art des Campings können weitere Policen sinnvoll oder sogar notwendig sein. Ob versehentlich ein fremdes Zelt beschädigt oder durch eine Unachtsamkeit ein Brand ausgelöst wird – auf dem Campingplatz kann es schnell zu Schadenfällen kommen. „Die private Haftpflichtversicherung springt ein, wenn man anderen einen Schaden zufügt. Sie prüft Ansprüche, übernimmt berechtigte Forderungen und wehrt unberechtigte ab, notfalls auch vor Gericht“, heißt es. Die Police fungiert damit auch als passiver Rechtsschutz. Für darlehens- oder leasingfinanzierte Campingfahrzeuge kann neben der verpflichtenden Kfz-Haftpflichtversicherung auch eine Teil- oder Vollkaskoversicherung sinnvoll sein. Während die Teilkasko unter anderem bei Brand, Diebstahl, Wildunfällen oder Sturm zahlt, deckt die Vollkasko zusätzlich selbst verursachte Schäden und Vandalismus ab.   Wer mit viel Ausstattung unterwegs ist, sollte auch den Versicherungsschutz für Inventar und Technik prüfen. Eine spezielle Inhalts- oder Campingversicherung sichert – je nach Tarif – nicht nur Haushaltsgegenstände, sondern auch Markisen, Solaranlagen oder Sportgeräte ab. Die Tarife unterscheiden sich hinsichtlich ihrer Leistungen erheblich und sollten genau geprüft und miteinander verglichen werden. In einigen Fällen springt auch die bestehende Hausratversicherung mit ihrer Außenversicherung ein. „Wie umfangreich der Schutz ist, hängt vom jeweiligen Tarif ab. Eine Nachfrage direkt beim eigenen Hausratversicherer ist daher in jedem Fall ratsam“, erklärt man.    Geht es für Camper ins Ausland, ist eine Auslandsreisekrankenversicherung unbedingt empfehlenswert. Sie übernimmt Kosten, die die gesetzliche Krankenversicherung nicht abdeckt – etwa für ambulante und stationäre Behandlungen oder Rücktransporte. Auch für privat Krankenversicherte ist der Abschluss dieser Police meist sinnvoll. Um Geld zu sparen, können Motorradfahrer für ihr Fahrzeug ein Saisonkennzeichen nutzen“, sagt man beim Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV) Biker, die das Motorrad in den Wintermonaten nicht fahren, sollten ein Saisonkennzeichen verwenden. Das spart wiederkehrende Gebühren für das An- und Abmelden bei der Zulassungsstelle und es werden nur Versicherungsprämien und Steuern für den vereinbarten Zeitraum der Saison fällig. Außerhalb der Saison ist das Motorrad über eine Ruheversicherung abgesichert. „Mit der vereinbarten Saison wird festgelegt, in welchem Zeitraum – beispielsweise April bis Oktober – das Motorrad gefahren werden darf. Von November bis März wäre das Motorrad dann über die sogenannte Ruheversicherung beitragsfrei versichert “, heißt es. Das Motorrad darf während der Ruhephase nicht genutzt werden und muss sich auf einem Privatgelände befinden. Ansonsten drohen Bußgelder. Wie hoch der Versicherungsschutz der Ruheversicherung ausfällt, hängt von der jeweiligen Kfz-Versicherung (Kfz-Haftpflicht- und/oder Kaskoversicherung) ab. Der mögliche Zeitraum für ein Saisonkennzeichen liegt zwischen zwei und elf Monaten. Er kann bei der für den jeweiligen Wohnort zuständigen Zulassungsstelle beantragt und geändert werden.   Spartipps für Biker: Eine Möglichkeit zu sparen ist die Zweitwagenregelung: Wer bereits ein Fahrzeug versichert hat, kann sein Motorrad oft zu einer besseren Schadenfreiheitsrabatt-Einstufung anmelden. „Das kann die Versicherungsprämie deutlich reduzieren“. Ein weiterer Trick ist die Übertragung des Schadenfreiheitsrabatts (SFR) von Auto zu Motorrad. Wer sein Auto in den Wintermonaten nutzt und das Motorrad im Sommer, kann den Schadenfreiheitsrabatt von einem Fahrzeug auf das andere übertragen. Auch ein Sicherheitstraining kann sich finanziell lohnen. Einige Versicherer gewähren für die Teilnahme einen Rabatt auf die Versicherungsprämie. Zusätzlich sollten Motorradfahrer darauf achten, dass das Motorrad mindestens sechs Monate im Jahr angemeldet bleibt. Nur dann wird bei unfallfreier Fahrt der Schadenfreiheitsrabatt im nächsten Versicherungsjahr weitergestuft, was langfristig zu günstigeren Beiträgen führt. Die aktuellen Wirtschaftsnachrichten mit Michael Weyland   Thema heute:    Scheidung: Was passiert mit gemeinsamen Versicherungen?     15,1 Jahre hielt laut Statistischem Bundesamt hierzulande eine durchschnittliche Ehe im Jahr 2022. Nach dem Ehe-Aus sollten die gemeinsamen Versicherungsverträge überprüft und angepasst werden. „Eine Scheidung oder die Aufhebung einer eingetragenen Lebenspartnerschaft kann sich auf den Versicherungsschutz auswirken. Und zwar unabhängig von der ordentlichen Kündigungsfrist eines Versicherungsvertrags. Es ist daher wichtig, seine Verträge auf solche speziellen Regelungen hin zu prüfen“, sagt man beim Bund der Versicherten e. V. (BdV). Ein gutes Beispiel ist die Namensänderung bei einer Scheidung. Nimmt beispielsweise die Frau ihren Geburtsnamen wieder an und zieht in eine eigene Wohnung, ist sie verpflichtet, dem Versicherer ihre Namensänderung sowie ihre neue Anschrift mitzuteilen. Tut sie dies nicht, kann der Versicherer ihr zwar keine Briefe zustellen. Kraft Gesetz gelten die Schreiben aber dennoch als zugestellt und die Frau würde beispielsweise Rechnungen nicht empfangen und angemahnt werden. Eines der größten Risiken bei einer Scheidung ist: Einer der beiden Partner verliert den Versicherungsschutz und bekommt unter Umständen gar nichts davon mit. Ein gutes Beispiel ist die Privathaftpflichtversicherung (PHV). In der PHV können Partner mitversichert werden. Eheleute sind oftmals ohne konkrete Nennung mitversichert, bei Unverheirateten muss der  Versicherungsnehmer oftmals den Partner dem Versicherer melden. Verlangt wird üblicherweise bei Unverheirateten, dass sie in einem gemeinsamen Haushalt leben. Ehepartner bleiben oftmals auch bei einer Trennung mitversichert, solange die Ehe noch besteht. Es sei denn, ein Ehepaar trennt sich und ein Partner zieht aus, noch bevor die Scheidung vollzogen ist.   Ein Beispiel: Zwei Frauen (A und B), die noch verheiratet sind, trennen sich. Frau B zieht aus der gemeinsamen Wohnung in eine neue Wohnung um. Frau A ist Versicherungsnehmerin der Privathaftpflichtversicherung und findet eine neue Partnerin: Das ist Frau C. Frau A meldet dem Versicherer, dass Frau C als ihre Partnerin in der PHV mitversichert werden soll – das dokumentiert der Versicherer in der Versicherungsbestätigung. Für Noch-Ehefrau B bedeutet das, dass sie nicht mehr im PHV-Vertrag mitversichert ist – sie verliert demnach ihren Versicherungsschutz, weiß davon aber im Zweifel nichts. Denn mehrere Partner sind nicht versicherbar.
