This week Nish and Coco are joined by friend of the pod, Ash Sarkar from Novara Media to talk about political scandal, trust and compromise. Ash's book, Minority Rule, has a new afterword which talks about two progressive movements which have tried to build different kinds of relationships with voters. Is that the way forward - or are we stuck in an endless cycle of broken promises from our leaders? One of those leaders - Keir Starmer - seems to be lurching from crisis to nightmare, so can he rise above the latest headlines about Peter Mandelson's arrest and the Labour Together scandal?Plus Reform's new immigration policies, the new proposals to change the SEND system - and some good news about two protest groups.CHECK OUT THESE DEALS FROM OUR SPONSORS BABBEL: https://www.babbel.com/PSUKWISE: https://www.wise.comSURFSHARK: https://www.surfshark.com/podsave CODE: PODSAVE GUESTS Ash Sarkar, Contributing Editor at Novara Media and author of Minority Rule: Adventures in the Culture War - out now in paperback.USEFUL LINKSJumaane Williams' thoughtful response following the outcry about the handling of a racial slur at the Baftas.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgaqKIxS4Hs&t=1sCREDITSDaily Express - YouTubeNigel Farage - YouTube@sendra.uk - InstagramNida JafriPod Save the UK is a Reduced Listening production for Crooked Media.Get in touch - contact us via email: PSUK@reducedlistening.co.ukLike and follow us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@PodSavetheUKInstagram: https://instagram.com/podsavetheukTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podsavetheukBlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/podsavetheuk.crooked.comFacebook: https://facebook.com/podsavetheukX: https://x.com/podsavetheuk

"Things Can Only Get Worse!" Why Is Keir Starmer So Unpopular? #JonGauntTV #JonGaunt #KeirStarmer #StarmerUnpopular #ThingsCanOnlyGetWorse #StarmerPolling #YouGov #MandelsonScandal "Things Can Only Get Worse!" Why Is Keir Starmer So Unpopular? He promised change. He promised competence. He promised honesty. What Britain got instead? U-turns, dithering, broken pledges — and now a storm over Mandelson that won't go away. From ditching core policies, to rewriting red lines, to treating voters like they wouldn't notice the climbdowns, Starmer's leadership has been one long exercise in saying one thing and doing another. Each retreat has chipped away at trust. Each reversal has fed the sense that this is a man with no fixed beliefs — just focus groups. And just when things couldn't look worse, along comes the Mandelson affair — raising serious questions about judgement, influence, and whether Labour really has left its old habits behind. The optics are dire. The explanations? Unconvincing. The public reaction? Brutal. Today's YouGov polling shows the damage is real — and spreading fast. So tonight we ask: ❌ How did Starmer squander the benefit of the doubt so quickly?
In this episode of The Julia Hartley-Brewer Show, Julia is joined by Lord Foulkes (Labour peer and former minister under Tony Blair) and Brendan O'Neill (Chief Political Writer at Spiked) to unpack the growing political storm around Peter Mandelson's arrest last night in connection with the wider Jeffrey Epstein fallout. He was released on bail in the early hours of the morning. With Mandelson denying wrongdoing and there being no confirmed charges, the focus turns to Keir Starmer's political judgement in appointing Mandelson in the first place. Does Britain operate with one rule for the powerful and another for everyone else? Julia argues the story now lands squarely on Keir Starmer, because it raises questions about why someone with controversial associations was elevated to a senior diplomatic role — and what ministers and security vetting may have known. The episode also ranges across Reform UK's immigration and ECHR stance, proposals to restrict the Burka and other face coverings, and the Gorton & Denton by-election, including controversy over campaigning in languages other than English - namely Urdu, appealing to British-Pakistani voters - and the rise of sectarian-style politics. Pastor and Colorado State Rep Scott Bottoms is running for Governor of Colorado, and he's making the case for why Christians can't sit out the political arena anymore. We talk about the pressure on pastors to stay silent, the “Christian nationalism” debate, and why policy is shaping the future of our kids in real time—from grooming and parental rights to trafficking and corruption. If you've been on the fence, this episode is a wake-up call: get off the bench and engage. When people break with MAGA, most of them walk away and don't look back, whether out of shame or fear or both. So it's a rare thing to talk with someone willing to describe publicly why they joined the Trump movement, what life was like on the inside, and the reasons they left — but it's just such a conversation we have for you today, with writer and former New Right firebrand Pedro L. The borders are a joke, the system's broken, and the public's being ignored. So tonight we ask the questions the political class is terrified of. SHOULD KING CHARLES ABDICATE? EPSTEIN, ANDREW, MANDELSON — MONARCHY UNDER SIEGE #KingCharles #Abdication #PrinceAndrew #Epstein #PeterMandelson #KeirStarmer #UKPolitics #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV SHOULD KING CHARLES ABDICATE? I believe the time has come to ask the question the Establishment is desperate to shut down. King Charles III is a man under immense strain. He is visibly not recovering, not easing back, not growing stronger — and the relentless pressure of scandal, silence and institutional failure is bearing down on him. I believe that for the good of the Crown, abdication must now be on the table. This crisis has a name: Prince Andrew. His association with Jeffrey Epstein continues to rot the monarchy from the inside. The question is simple and unavoidable: why has Andrew still not gone to the United States to be formally questioned? What exactly is being protected — and who? And then there's the part Westminster really doesn't want discussed. While Andrew absorbs all the heat, Peter Mandelson — another man with documented Epstein links — was handed a top ambassadorial job. That wasn't an accident. That was a political decision taken by Keir Starmer — and it was a catastrophic misstep. So I'll say it plainly: Andrew should go to the United States and be questioned. Mandelson should go to the United States and be questioned. No hiding places. No double standards. If Starmer cannot or will not protect the monarchy from this level of damage, then he has no business lecturing anyone about standards in public life. The monarchy is entering dangerous territory — and I believe there is only one way to stabilise it. Prince William represents clarity, authority, and a line under years of scandal. This show doesn't whisper. It doesn't apologise. And it doesn't play palace games.
Noam and Jen record a special Presidents' Day episode where we discuss important things, like Olympic controversies around fingering and penile enhancements. OK, we also discuss actual important things, like the fact that Jeremy Carl is for some reason nominated to a position in the State Department and how he can't define white culture despite having written a whole book on the topic. This of course kicked off a whole debate on the internet about "white culture", which in Carl's defense nobody else can define either. At any rate, it's a dumb concept that makes no sense. We spend a little time discussing ICE being pulled out of Minneapolis, but we got sidetracked by the WSJ article on the chaos within Kristi Noem's DHS. And of course, we had to spend some time talking about how everyone hates Hasan Piker now, after his comments that Democrats are not better than Republicans on the topic of trans rights. Progressives overall are having a fit over the idea of Newsom being the candidate in 2028, but we agree he could totally mog Vance in a debate. Foe our WAWC, Noam pitches everyone on A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms again (really he just wants Jen to start watching it), and Jen explains how everyone is trashing the new BookTok'd version of Wuthering Heights.
Is the UK REALLY a democracy? #CancelElections #UKPolitics #Starmer #LabourParty #ReformUK #NigelFarage #Brexit #BrexitBetrayal #PoliticalElite #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV If Keir Starmer can try to cancel elections without a mandate, what does your vote actually mean? Is the UK REALLY a democracy? Let's stop pretending. This week, Reform UK blocked a move that should have alarmed every voter in the country — Keir Starmer attempting to cancel local elections. Yes — cancel elections. In a country that never stops lecturing the world about democracy. Starmer has no mandate to do this. No manifesto promise. No referendum. No public consent. And yet here we are — again. We've seen this movie before. In 2016, the Brexit referendum delivered a result the political elite didn't like. What followed wasn't acceptance — it was years of obstruction, delay, re-runs, legal manoeuvres, and media pressure, all designed to wear the public down and soften the outcome. Voters spoke. Westminster panicked. Now history looks like it's repeating itself — elections questioned, democratic processes treated as optional, and major national direction shifted without asking the people. So let's ask the question politicians hate: If elections can be cancelled — is this still a democracy? If referendums are ignored — what's the point of voting? If governments only respect results they agree with — who is really in charge? As the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band once joked: "There is no point in voting — the government always gets in." It was satire. But does it now sound uncomfortably accurate? Jon Gaunt takes this head-on: Are voters being sidelined? Is democracy being hollowed out by the political class? And if elections can be cancelled today — what gets cancelled tomorrow?
Little by Little Homeschool - Homeschooling, Motherhood, Homemaking, Education, Family
Gone are the Little House on the Prairie days when we, as homeschool parents, didn't have to try and be a step ahead of the culture. Even when we try to create a safe and innocent childhood, we can't stick our heads in the sand. This is not an episode about fear. Rather, it's about encouraging you to be the first ones to reach your children. You GET to teach them about how to live in this world, but not be of it. And this is a great and awesome responsibility, which can be done along with maintaining their innocence. However, it can often feel easier at the time to abdicate or ignore this role. Why? Because it is hard and requires intention and perseverance . We won't be perfect at it, but our children will benefit from any and all ways that we are intentional. A 19-year-old drove three hours to sit at our table and lit the room on fire—in the best way. Meet Caroline Joyous: musician, TPUSA ambassador, and relentless voice who found her calling when churches closed and her mom's salon went dark. She walks us through how a quiet teenager became a public advocate, why she ties pro-life conviction to civic duty, and how she handles daily hate without losing heart. We dig into what Turning Point USA actually does—voter registration, local races, church mobilization, and outreach that targets Gen Z where they live. Caroline shares personal memories of Charlie Kirk's encouragement and the one word he gave her that stuck: relentless. From there, we tackle the flashpoint everyone's still arguing about: Super Bowl halftime. We compare the NFL spectacle with TPUSA's alternative featuring Kid Rock and Gabby Barrett, unpack the family standards debate, and ask why institutions keep ignoring their core audience. It's a wider conversation about culture, unity, and building alternatives when the mainstream won't budge. For a change of pace, we vent about small-but-real etiquette fails—movie theater whisperers and biohazard bathrooms—before flipping the mic. Caroline asks for songwriting advice, and we get practical: write from truth, not for approval; let lived moments anchor your lyric; move people before you try to move charts. The through line is courage with kindness—show up, speak clearly, and keep going when it gets loud.If you're ready for faith, free speech, and a Gen Z perspective with backbone, press play. Then tell us your take on the halftime controversy, the best way to reach young voters, and the songwriting rule you live by. On this special Presidents' Day episode of the podcast, Christian and country recording artist Natasha Owens shares her powerful journey from battling anxiety and depression to becoming one of the most outspoken conservative voices in music today.Owens opens up about the personal cost of standing firm in her faith and values, especially after releasing a pro-life song that sparked boycotts and industry backlash. She discusses the cultural pressure facing conservative artists, the censorship and suppression she says impacts their reach, and the uphill battle of navigating an entertainment industry hostile to traditional values. The conversation also dives into her response to Bruce Springsteen's messaging on immigration enforcement, which inspired her to release her own counterpoint track, “Somali Waltz.” Owens reflects on the broader fight for artistic freedom, the importance of bold patriotism in today's climate, and why direct fan support, like purchasing music on platforms such as iTunes, matters now more than ever. You can learn more about Natasha, listen to her music, or follow her on social media all by visiting her website: www.NatashaOwensMusic.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In the second hour of episode #1156, Clay Edwards takes a deep dive into generational politics, exploring why Gen X has been largely sidelined in leadership roles, blaming boomers for clinging to power and delaying opportunities—now leaving many Gen Xers in their 40s and 50s too established in careers and family life to pivot. He breaks down stats on Congress (Gen X at 41% in the House but only 28% in the Senate) and Mississippi's legislature (average age 57, boomers dominant at 45%), urging Gen X to step up and counter liberal indoctrination. A caller sparks debate on holding teachers' unions accountable, pushing "feel-good" policies over core education, and infiltrating local politics. Clay unleashes unfiltered rants on liberal Gen Xers as the most offended and medicated group, SSRIs turning affluent white women "gay" (with satirical jabs at stereotypes), and the revival of racism by black Gen X post-Obama. He shares personal views on relationships, favoring driven partners over dependents, and stresses trade schools over useless college degrees. Wrapping with listener texts on anti-ICE protests, Gen X presidents, and positive solutions—pure, no-holds-barred commentary on culture, corruption, and America's soul.

SURRENDER MONKEY STARMER? ON EU, BORDERS, CHINA 15 U-TURNS #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #Starmer #SurrenderMonkey #UKPolitics #Labour #EU #BorderCrisis #ChinaEmbassy #ChagosIslands What's a surrender monkey? It's a political coward. A leader who talks tough, waves the flag, then folds at the first sign of pressure. Someone who gives ground, again and again, while pretending it's all part of a "reset". And that, folks, is exactly what Keir Starmer has become. The latest big relaunch, reboot, reinvention — call it what you like — is just another desperate attempt by Starmer to reinvent himself again. New suit, new slogan, same weak leader. He doesn't need re-booting. He needs booting out. Starmer said he wouldn't crawl back to the EU — now he's doing just that. He talked tough on border security — now it looks like he's simply given up. He's capitulated to China over the super-embassy. He's rolled over on the Chagos Islands. Yet somehow, with a straight face, he tells us Britain must be "war-ready" for Russia. You couldn't make it up. This is not a fighter. This is a man in managed retreat — surrendering abroad, wobbling at home, and presiding over 15 policy U-turns that expose a government with no core beliefs and no backbone. A lame-duck premiership is unfolding before our eyes. Every day he clings on, the country is dragged further down with him. Starmer should do the decent thing: admit defeat and go now, instead of letting this sorry farce grind on. That's the verdict — Jon Gaunt says it as it is. #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #KeirStarmer #Starmer #SurrenderMonkey #UKPolitics #Labour #LabourGovernment #Uturns #EU #Borders #BorderCrisis #China #ChinaEmbassy #ChagosIslands #Russia #WarReady #LameDuckPM #PoliticalCrisis #Britain Jon Gaunt, Jon Gaunt TV, live, Keir Starmer, Starmer, surrender monkey, UK politics, Labour, Labour government, policy u-turns, EU, borders, border security, China, China super embassy, Chagos Islands, Russia, war ready, lame duck prime minister, political crisis, Britain This is political blogging and hard-hitting social commentary from Triple Sony Gold Award-winning talk radio legend, Jon Gaunt — former host on BBC, Talk Radio, and Sky News. In this episode of Straight White American, Jesus, we unpack the unraveling of Pam Bondi's moral rhetoric under the weight of the Epstein files. Bondi once ran campaign ads promising to protect children from trafficking “monsters,” yet when Epstein survivors stood behind her in a hearing room, she refused to turn around and acknowledge them. Pressed about Donald Trump's and Howard Lutnick's ties to Jeffrey Epstein, she lashed out at questioners and deflected to stock market numbers. The hypocrisy is hard to miss: a movement that built its identity on “saving the children” now treats actual survivors as political inconveniences. When Jared Moskowitz held up the Trump-branded Bible and noted that Trump's name appears in the Epstein files more times than God's appears in Scripture, the exchange crystallized the contradiction—commodified faith, selective outrage, and a refusal to confront abuse when it implicates one's own side. We also turn to the Twin Cities, where clergy and neighbors continue resisting ICE operations on the ground. As Axios reports, faith leaders are organizing prayer circles, serving as human shields, and explicitly naming Christian nationalism as incompatible with the teachings of Jesus. The theological divide is stark: Christian nationalists invoke Romans 13 to defend “state-authorized violence,” while progressive clergy center the red-letter teachings—love your neighbor, protect the least of these—even when it puts them in harm's way. From the politics of the Epstein files to the culture-war meltdown over Bad Bunny's Spanish-language Super Bowl performance, the throughline is clear: whose America is this, and whose lives count? As always, we follow the code. Brian From reflects on the legacy of James Van Der Beek and the sobering revelations surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, asking whether the so-called “culture wars” are masking deeper moral and spiritual realities. Drawing from Russell Moore’s analysis and the book of Philippians, Brian challenges listeners to move beyond outrage and partisanship toward a life anchored in Christ. In Episode 120 of Taking It Back, Zak Paine and Adel Nero break down the cultural backlash surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show and the explosive success of the Turning Point USA counter-programming event, which drew millions of viewers away from the NFL broadcast. The hosts examine what they see as a broader cultural shift, from declining Oscar viewership to mounting pushback against what they describe as anti-American messaging in mainstream entertainment. The conversation then turns to the ongoing Epstein revelations and public frustration over perceived delays in accountability. Zak and Adel address concerns about the DOJ, Pam Bondi, and Todd Blanche, while pointing to recent developments such as the Fulton County raid, global political fallout, and increased child trafficking arrests. They argue that large-scale investigations require strategic timing and caution against emotional reactions that could undermine long-term objectives. It's a wide-ranging discussion on culture, justice, public awakening, and the delicate balance between transparency and strategy in what they frame as a historic turning point.
STARMER SHOULD APOLOGISE — NOT SIR JIM RATCLIFFE #Starmer #SirJimRatcliffe #IllegalMigration#Brexit #BorderChaos #JonGaunt #JonGauntTV #Live #LiveShow #UKPolitics Let's get this straight from the off. Keir Starmer has got some cheek. Some brass neck. The man who never apologises suddenly wants one from Jim Ratcliffe? You couldn't make it up. Starmer — Mr Flip-Flop, Mr U-Turn, Mr "I Didn't Really Mean That" — is now posing as the nation's moral referee. Fifteen U-turns. Fifteen. On policy, principle, and promises. Has he apologised once? Has he heck. Not to pensioners. Not to voters. Not to the people he's taken for mugs. And while he's busy wagging his finger at Sir Jim, let's talk about the apology Britain actually deserves. Because the entire political class — Labour, Tory, the lot of them — owe the British people a massive apology for the abject failure on illegal migration. Years of chaos. Billions wasted. Borders that exist in name only. And what do we get? Lectures. Excuses. And being told we're wrong for noticing. Sir Jim didn't say anything outrageous. He said what millions of people are thinking but Westminster is too frightened to admit. People are fed up. Fed up of being ignored. Fed up of being patronised. Fed up of being told to shut up and accept it. Immigration. Brexit. National sovereignty. These aren't fringe obsessions — they're the issues voters keep shouting about while politicians stick their fingers in their ears. And here's the bit that really rattles them: the polls are coming. The next set will show it again. Ordinary Brits aren't buying the spin anymore. They don't want apologies demanded from businessmen who speak plainly — they want accountability from politicians who never do. So no, Sir Jim doesn't owe the country an apology. Keir Starmer does. And until he finds the courage to say sorry — properly, honestly, and without a lawyered-up script — he might want to stop lecturing the rest of us about decency. Because people are watching. People are angry. And this time, they're not being ignored. Scott Galloway and Jessica Tarlov explore a weekend that showcased two very different Americas: Bad Bunny celebrated unity across the continent, while Donald Trump leaned into culture wars, attacking an Olympic skier for expressing mixed feelings about representing the U.S. and amplifying a racist video of the Obamas. At the same time, Congress is reviewing Epstein files, Ghislaine Maxwell is publicly hinting at clemency deals, and Trump's allies are facing political scrutiny. They also break down Trump's economic message ahead of the midterms — from AI-driven growth claims to foreign investment promises — and whether everyday Americans are actually seeing the benefits. Plus, they tackle the skyrocketing cost of NYC private schools, now topping $70,000 a year at elite institutions, and what it means for families navigating a struggling public system. Spring training is here, the Yankees are healthy, and it should feel like a celebration. Instead, Shaun Morash finds a way to sound the alarm, and it has nothing to do with the roster. His issue? Brian Cashman's “walk-in” look: hoodie, trucker hat, backpack, iced coffee, and a vibe that screams “too comfortable.” Evan and Tiki push back hard, debating whether this is a real red flag or just peak offseason nitpicking, while callers line up to either roast Shaun or agree the Yankees brand demands more professionalism. Plus, Evan spins the argument into a new idea: a weekly vote for the dumbest opinion on WFAN, and Shaun might already be the runaway favorite.

In this episode, Sissy Goff and David Thomas sit down with Justin Giboney for a timely, thoughtful conversation about what kids need right now in an increasingly polarized world. Justin weaves together faith, history, and parenting wisdom to explore how compassion and conviction are not opposites but essential partners in forming resilient, grounded kids. Drawing from the Civil Rights Movement, personal stories, and his own parenting, he encourages parents to focus on formation over reaction, to model humility and fortitude, and to help kids build an identity rooted first in who God says they are.
