What happens when you finally stop caring what people think and start showing up as yourself? In this episode, Shelby sits down with Kelsey a former corporate employee turned content creator and mom whose life completely changed after she decided to take a chance on herself, even before she had proof it would work.Kelsey shares the real, unfiltered story behind her journey. From working a traditional corporate job and becoming a new mom, to slowly building her presence online and discovering opportunities she never imagined possible. She opens up about what it felt like in the beginning posting with no expectations, battling imposter syndrome, and questioning whether she was truly capable of creating something of her own. They talk about the transition from corporate to content creation, how she started landing brand deals, and what actually happens behind the scenes as a creator. Kelsey also shares how consistency, faith, and learning to trust her voice played a major role in helping her grow. This conversation dives into the messy middle the years of showing up when no one was watching, the fear of being judged by people who knew her, and the moments of doubt that almost made her stop. And then, the turning point. The moment when things finally started to click, and she realized this path was leading somewhere bigger.Shelby and Kelsey also discuss why authenticity is the foundation of long-term success, and why trying to follow someone else's formula will never be as powerful as simply being yourself. This episode is for anyone who feels like they're meant for more… but is still waiting for the right time to start. It's a reminder that you don't need to have everything figured out.You don't need a perfect plan. And you don't need permission. You just need the courage to begin.Because your life can change the moment you decide to show up.Connect with the guest: https://www.youtube.com/@kels_parrish/shortshttps://www.tiktok.com/@kelsparrishhttps://www.instagram.com/kels_parrish/Agency: https://www.shelbyclementmarketing.com/Shop my favorites: http://go.shopmy.us/join/itsshelbyclementGet 20% off on NUUDS https://www.nuuds.com/collections/new-womens?snowball=SHELBY12969Follow on Socials:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shelbydclementLinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/shelby-dimiceli-clement-a9497049TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@itsshelbyclementInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsshelbyclement/If this episode inspired you, share it with a friend and leave a review, it means the world to me :)
Are business events actually worth it...or are we just saying yes because everyone else is going? In this episode of Dream Business, Dream Life, I'm sharing an honest and open conversation about business events...from both sides of the room. As an event host and as an attendee, I've seen the pressure, the FOMO, the overwhelm and the noise that comes with trying to be “visible” in every space. If you're an overwhelmed business owner wondering:Which events should I attend? How do I know if an event will give me ROI?How do I sell tickets to my own event in a crowded market?Do people really buy tickets because of the speakers?Am I meant to be in every room? This episode will help you slow down, get intentional and rethink your event strategy. We talk about:How to measure real return on investment (ROI) from eventsWhy you don't need to be everywhereThe difference between visibility and connectionWhy people really buy ticketsHow to attend events strategicallyHow to host events that people actually want to attendWhether you're attending business networking events, hosting your own event, or feeling overwhelmed by how many rooms you “should” be in this episode will help you make smarter, more intentional decisions.Because rooms can change your business…but only if you walk into them with purpose.Want to connect? What do you do when the people controlling your access to God are using Him against you? For Harriet Tubman, God's answer was simple — He went around them. In this final Black History Month episode, we sit with one of the most remarkable dreamers in American history, not just to honor her legacy, but to learn from the way God spoke to her directly, in the night, through visions and dreams, when every official door had been shut.We walk through the progression of Harriet's actual dreams — from the chase dreams her soul was processing under the weight of bondage, to the recurring vision of a line she couldn't cross, to the dream that changed everything: the one where she finally flew. We talk about what it means spiritually to be above a thing in a dream, what God was doing through the injury the enemy meant for destruction, and how Psalm 126:1 — we were like those who dream — was literally Harriet's life before it was our theme. This episode is for anyone who can see the promise but keeps falling short of the line. The arms are already stretched out. Keep dreaming.

Today I share something that changed the way I plan, work, and make progress on the dreams that matter most to me. It's simple, and it is powerful. Stop thinking in years. Start thinking in quarters. When you treat a quarter as a mini year, everything shifts. Your focus sharpens. Overwhelm reduces. Momentum increases. And suddenly, the goals that felt “too big” start to feel doable. In this episode, you'll learn why annual planning often breaks down (even when our intentions are beautiful), and how a 90-day container creates the clarity and urgency we need without the burnout. ...and I share my favourite rule for quarterly planning, the one that makes it work. If you're craving more structure, more calm, and a clear plan for the next season of your life, you will love this one. Have you ever been manipulated, deceived, used, or set up? It's easy to become a victim of circumstances—but it's dangerous to build your identity around victimhood. In Week Four of our Life of Joseph series, Pastor David Gaunt walks through Genesis 41 and shows how Joseph refused to let injustice define him. After 13 years of betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and prison, Joseph stood before Pharaoh not as a victim—but as a man anchored in hope. This message reminds us that hope is not wishful thinking—it is confident trust in God's promises. When we exercise patience, eliminate pride, and step into God's plan, even our darkest seasons become preparation for His greater purpose. #LifeOfJoseph #Genesis41 #BiblicalHope #GodsPlan #FromVictimToVictory #TrustGod - NEXT STEPS Looking to take your next step? What is meditation, really? In this video, I share a simple and grounded explanation of meditation as a practice of bringing order into your life, starting with the body and gently moving into the mind. You will learn why posture matters, how stillness supports awareness, and why sitting is often the best place to begin a meditation practice. This talk walks you through the foundations of mindfulness meditation, including how to work with the breath, how to relate to wandering thoughts, and how daily practice trains the mind to return to the present moment. Meditation is not about stopping thoughts, but about learning to notice them and come back to now with kindness and clarity.Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, this video offers practical guidance for building focus, calm, and inner order through simple breath awareness. Over time, this practice can help reduce stress, improve concentration, and reconnect you with the peace of the present moment.Take a few minutes, settle into stillness, and explore what meditation truly means.#meditation #mindfulness #breathawareness #presentmoment #innerpeace #zenmeditation #meditationforbeginners #mindtraining #calmthemind #selfawareness #spiritualgrowth
This week has been a big one for me. I’ve just come home from delivering one of the most challenging keynotes of my life. I spoke in front of 1,500 event organisers from around the world. It stretched me. It scared me. And it reminded me of something so important that I want to share with you today. You do not start with 1,500 people. You start small. That's how every dream begins. In this episode, I want to talk to you about clarity. Because what I see again and again is not a lack of courage. It’s not laziness. It’s not lack of ambition. It’s overwhelm. We want to do so many things that we end up doing ...less than that. So today, I’m asking you a powerful question: If nothing changed between now and the end of 2026, would you feel proud… or slightly disappointed? In this episode, I share: Why clarity is more powerful than motivation The three reasons clarity changes everything How to stop drifting and start deciding If you are successful but restless… juggling everything but not lit up… or simply ready to move the needle in your life, this episode is for you. Your dream life does not happen by accident. It starts with getting clear. Let’s dive in. You know that weird place where everything you prayed for is now just… normal? The money is consistent, the clients are amazing, the relationship is solid, the lifestyle is cushy — and somehow your brain is like, "Yeah, whatever. Next." In this episode, I'm riffing on: The shadow side of being so regulated and safe in your life and business How we stop celebrating what we've created and slowly become jaded Why your brain will never naturally make things "a big deal" (and how to re-train it) Real-life examples from my own world — including a literal ER visit that barely ruffled my nervous system What it actually looks like to be the center of your brand as a whole-ass human, not an untouchable authority If you've ever caught yourself thinking, "It's fine, it's just normal now," this is your loving call-out and recalibration. Let's make your life and business feel fucking magical again — not because anything is missing, but because you finally decide to celebrate what's already here. I'm so excited to share today’s episode with you, because this conversation really stayed with me long after we stopped recording. Today, I'm joined by James Laughlin, author of Habits of High Performers, and we dive deep into something that quietly shapes every part of our lives: our habits. Not the big dramatic ones, but the small daily choices that, over time, determine how we live, work and feel. What I love about James’ approach is that high performance is not about doing more. It is about doing what truly matters, consistently and with intention, while still protecting your wellbeing, relationships and sense of purpose. T This conversation felt so aligned with everything I believe in and teach, especially inside our GROW Personal Growth Book Club and DL Coaching programs. In this episode, we explore: Why getting radically clear on what you want is the foundation for everything else How your belief systems quietly shape your decisions, confidence and results The role of purpose in creating sustainable motivation and fulfilment We also talk about journaling, priorities, boundaries, and how to stay focused in a world full of distractions. It's a grounded, honest and inspiring conversation that gently invites you to reflect on your own habits and ask whether they are truly supporting the life you want to create. Listen with an open heart, a notebook nearby if you can, and a willingness to reflect. Sometimes the smallest shifts create the biggest change. As always, I’d LOVE to hear what resonated most with you - so please share and let’s keep the conversation going in the Dream Life Podcast Facebook Group here. …and remember, it all starts with a dream

Today, we explore the powerful idea that real change does not come from willpower or big goals, but from the habits and systems that quietly shape our everyday lives, inspired by a quote from James Clear: “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” Three key takeaways you can expect: Why falling off track is not a personal failure, but a systems issue you can gently redesign. Message Title: Death to the Dreamer - Part One Description: What do you do when God's promises collide with painful circumstances? In the opening message of our new series Life of Joseph, Lead Pastor Steve Garcia walks through Genesis 37 and introduces us to a young man whose dreams from God seemed to die before they ever came true. Betrayal, jealousy, injustice, and suffering mark the beginning of Joseph's story—but God was not absent. This message reminds us that when life takes us into the pit, God is still at work. He is providential, not accidental—and He's shaping something far greater than we can see. Next steps: Examine your heart when conflict arises Fix your eyes on Jesus in the pit Trust God's providence in painful seasons #LifeOfJoseph #Genesis37 #GodsProvidence #FaithInTrials #TrustGod - NEXT STEPS Looking to take your next step? This week, Tommy is joined by global pop culture icon, entrepreneur, and media force, Paris Hilton. Best known for redefining celebrity in the early 2000s, Paris has spent decades turning public perception into a powerful, multi-hyphenate career. Now, as she continues to evolve as an artist, producer, and advocate, she’s reclaiming her story on her own terms. Paris opens up about growing up underestimated, navigating the New York club scene, and why the “dumb blonde” persona became both a character and a trauma response. She reflects on early reality TV and pop culture’s treatment of women, touching on figures like Britney Spears and the lasting impact of that era. Paris also discusses guiding her public image, what she’s most proud of today, and the moments that helped her truly believe in herself—including validation from artists like Madonna and Sia. Later, she dives into her music journey…from Stars Are Blind to the deeper meaning behind Infinite Icon, as well as motherhood, forgiveness, and confronting painful chapters of her past publicly for the first time. The conversation also explores her advocacy work around AI, her hands-on role in developing a new television project with A24 alongside Elle and Dakota, and a deeply personal story she says she’s never shared before. Fresh snow framed a tough confession: I set a smart career goal, then let a big project push it aside. When a new opportunity appeared, I didn't have the certification I'd planned to earn months ago. That single delay flipped the script—from confident “yes” to a scramble of midnight classes, rushed exams, and a hope that timing would still work. The lesson is simple and hard at once: when you delay your dream, life doesn't.We unpack how to protect your value at work without burning out or burning bridges. I share the arc from near-foreclosure and dead-end roles to earning a master's degree, doubling income, and learning to set clear boundaries—stating PTO, keeping scope sane, and declining off-topic conversations that erode respect. We explore how to turn any job into a ladder: use training budgets, align skills with long-term goals, and treat your calendar as a contract with your future self. When you hold your standard, people follow it.You'll also hear a practical system to beat procrastination: anchor goals on a vision board with dates that matter, break them into weekly moves, schedule study blocks like executive meetings, and track progress with visible wins. We talk about personal definitions of work-life balance, whether you're caring for family or protecting solo time, and why consistent, high-quality output pairs best with firm boundaries. If you've ever traded your goals for a “temporary” crunch, this story is your nudge to recommit. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a push, and leave a quick review telling me one boundary or goal you're locking in this month. Your “yes” starts now. Thanks for listening coffee with a twist.Email me at: coffeewitatwist@gmail.com

In today’s episode, I share something very simple, but incredibly powerful. You do not need ten new habits. You do not need a perfect routine. And you definitely do not need to overhaul your whole life. What you really need is just one meaningful habit. One habit that truly supports the life you want to live. Lorraine breaks down how identifying what you truly desire, taking small aligned steps, and trusting your intuition can create real, lasting change—at any age. She also shares some of her beautiful tools, including her powerful “Column of Light” exercise, and tells inspiring stories of women who've shifted careers, reclaimed their bodies, reversed age-related issues, and finally stopped postponing joy. The system was designed to create destruction, and she was part of it. For nine years, Jen Mitchell Love worked as a litigation attorney. She watched families get torn apart in courtrooms. This conversation captures Jen in the middle of her most honest evolution yet. She's merging the spiritual practice she kept private for years with her legal work. Kim is back with the blueprint behind her biggest year yet.In this episode, she breaks down the exact system behind one of the most successful quarters of her life, from six figures and Forbes 30 Under 30 to interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris, and why none of it “just happened.” It was positioning, structure, and a ruthless commitment to process.Kim introduces the concept of the Permission Gap, the space between what you say you want and what you actually believe you're allowed to have, and explains how self-worth quietly caps our goals before we ever start. Then she walks you, step by step, through her personal goal-setting framework: how to build a life vision and turn long-term plans into quarterly goals using her “3/6/9 Method.” From mindset to planning to accountability, this is the exact structure she uses to close the gap between her dreams and reality.Kim's Biggest Takeaway? Freedom does not come from one big win. It comes from knowing your bills are paid whether you show up or not. Brian Tran learned that lesson early. Raised in an immigrant family that came to this country with nothing, he watched his parents work nonstop just to survive. Hard work was never the issue. Stability was. That experience shaped how Brian thought about money, risk, and what real security actually means. Instead of chasing fast wins, Brian focused on building cash flowing rental properties first. Not to get rich overnight, but to create breathing room. Monthly income that showed up consistently became the foundation that allowed him to take bigger swings later without putting his family or future at risk. In this episode, Brian breaks down how rental properties became the engine behind everything he built. From flipping homes to scaling multiple businesses, those steady checks gave him confidence, leverage, and optionality most people never experience. When things worked, he scaled. When things did not, his life did not collapse. We also unpack how he invested out of state from high cost markets, why cash flow matters more than hype, and how stable income completely changes how you approach risk, growth, and opportunity. This episode is not about shortcuts. It is about building a base so strong that you can bet on yourself without fear. If you want wealth that supports your life instead of controlling it, this conversation will change how you think about money and real estate. Book your mentorship discovery call with Cory RESOURCES
