EMPIRE LIFESTYLE
11 Fire Round Tips from Alex Hormozi on Video Marketing Domination & My Thoughts | Episode 4

EMPIRE LIFESTYLE

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 1, 2022 8:00

Who is Alex Hormozi? Out of nowhere… at least that's what it feels like in my head now.  Alex just started popping up everywhere. But after listening to one of his long-form videos, I now feel like I might have met this person before. Alex Hormozi is the founder of Acquisition.com and he has nothing to sell.  Yea right?  I do think that's a very slick slogan especially when you walk around in shorts selling that to people like me.  I get it.  But we are all selling something. --> READ THE BLOG POST HERE https://myempirepro.com/alex-hormozi/ --> WATCH VIDEO VERSION HERE https://youtu.be/_kxiHjSqVTA What does Alex do? From the looks of things at this point, it seems like Mr Hormozi is a video marketing professional.  Once you watch just one of his videos, he will literally start popping up everywhere, instagram, TikTok… literally everywhere. At press time, Alex's YouTube channel just crossed the 600,000 subscriber's mark.  On Instagram, he has 645,000 followers and another 546,000 subscribers on TikTok. After listening to him talk about monetization and scaling on a few videos, it makes absolute sense to me that he has made no less than $100 million from his video marketing activities alone.   He bought, fixed, scaled and sold gyms.  At this point, I think that's just a part of his story but I could be wrong. What did Alex Say? A lot of Mr Hormozi's rhetoric is about scaling a business.  He said a lot that I resonate with.  But from observing his moves, he is literally using these strategies on his video marketing activity.   And check out tip number 4 as I count them down right now.  It will be hard for me to share everything in this episode, but let's run through a quick fire round: Micro slow/Macro fast Pick Russell Brunson Skills vs Belief 40 Employees When He Was 25 Jay Z's Biggest Skill Do the Boring Work $0 Cost Replicate-able Leverage Get Skills Speed = Right, Not Most Stuff Sacrifice the small things Let's count them down one after the other and elaborate based on my understanding and my thoughts.. Who am I? My name is OLA and I am the founder of myEmpirePRO. myEmpirePRO is all about learning, earning and building empires. I am also the author of 4 books namely Digital Marketing Certified, Smart Real Estate Wholesaling, Get My Marriage Back co-authored with my wife Lola and Real Estate Money Secrets.  What are my thoughts on these 11 fireround tips from Alex Hormozi? Tip Number 11 - Micro slow/Macro fast This is the ultimate entrepreneurial struggle especially in the shining object syndrome age.  It's super easy to chase after the overnight success stories.     Instead, Alex suggests focusing on micro-slow and macro-fast as opposed to micro-fast and macro-slow.  Trust me, I can relate.  Pay attention to tip number 2; for more context. Tip Number 10 - Pick Pick one lane.  Pick one thing if you have not hit a million dollars yet.  If you have any experience building a business or even a simple video marketing campaign, you've probably found yourself, jumping from one thing to the other quite often. Just pick one thing and follow through.  It's easier said than done.  But that's what you have to do. Tip Number 9 - Russell Brunson Just less than 5 years ago, Alex Hormozi was a struggling business owner with less than $2,000 to his name inside one of Russell Brunson's masterminds.  He helped him highlight his strength which is teaching other gym owners his systems. Check out my favorite Russell Brunson's book at www.myempirepro.com/expertsecrets    Tip Number 8 - Skills vs Belief In this one particular video, Alex asked what we thought was stopping him from advancing past a particular level; skills or belief?   From my personal experience and struggles, in spite of all the success I've seen, it's definitely “belief”. Tip Number 7 - 40 Employees When He Was 25 Hey.  No such thing as overnight success.  Even though Alex Hormozi has gone from less than $2,000 in his savings to tens of millions of dollars in less than 7 years.   Most people would hear that only.  I was able to pick up that he had businesses before that with 40 employees when he was 25 years old.  All of those failures lead to his massive success that we are observing today. Tip Number 6 - Jay Z's Biggest Skill In one of his training videos, he lines up all of Jay Z's skills with the biggest one being Beyonce.  Leverage! Tip Number 5 - Do the Boring Work The most productive activities in a success business system are repetitive and boring in nature.  And this poses a big problem for creative minds like myself.   Don't make the mistake of abandoning the boring work.  Better yet.  Get them done.  I need this reminder from time to time. Tip Number 4 - $0 Cost Replicate-able Leverage There are many things that represent leverage in business.  Content and media, which also includes video marketing, will literally cost you $0 to replicate.   Listen.  It just doesn't make any sense for any type of business not to be engaged in content marketing now.  But many as usual will wait for saturation. Tip Number 3 - Get Skills Once you get skills, it will never leave you.  That's why you will keep coming back to success even if you lose everything.  But the type of skills required of you will depend on what stage you are on your path to $100 million and beyond.  Tip Number 2 - Speed = Right, Not Most Stuff Speed is about doing the right stuff and not doing the most stuff.  I used to say, successful entrepreneurship is about getting things done and not doing them necessarily.  Alex Hormozi took it further to say, it's about getting the right stuff done. Many of you will engage yourself with minimum wage activities that will add nothing to your bottom line.  Pay attention to this. Tip Number 1 - Sacrifice the Small Things Shortly before I created this video.  Alex released a video reflecting on a video he shot about 6 years ago.  He was advising on why sacrifice is absolutely necessary.  Link this back to the first tip I shared on micro slow and macro fast. What do I like best about what Alex Hormozi said? I love all of them.  But most importantly, I love the fact that all these tips can be linked and applied to any endeavor meant to be built and even video marketing. It's “hella” obvious that this is what Alex is doing with his massive video and content marketing campaigns.  And $200,000,000 in annual revenue is not your mate. Why should you download my free books? Content and video marketing is something that I cover extensively in my book “Digital Marketing Certified”.  Chapter 3 on “the value” is where you might want to pay particular attention to. If you want us to help you with your video marketing campaign, book a free strategy session with my team at www.DigitalMarketingCertified.com.  You will also get a free copy of the book right after booking the session.

Join Vince Gethings, as he chats with Robert Preston as they chat about Robert's transition from being a Marine to building his wealth. Robert shares the psyche of having to be deployed as a single person and its difference to already having a family. He decided that he can do better on his own, financially speaking, and left the Marines to pursue investing in real estate. Even when he was still in the Marines though, Robert always knew he had an entrepreneurial spirit, he once delved in jet ski rentals while in service but didn't go very well. Regardless, he knew he wanted to do business. A lot more on the psyche of Robert Preston in this episode so stay tuned for more!      Robert's point-of-view on RV parks:  Robert shares how one of his investments is a hybrid RV / mobile homes park, which in his opinion is more fun as his family loves to travel in an RV. He gets to work looking for properties while his kids feel like they're simply on vacation. RV parks though allowed for more flexibility. Robert shares how they were getting outbid with apartments even when they tried to play safe with the business. Back then, looking at the math, Robert decided that apartments. He shares more on the different advantages of an RV park such as the probability of having short rental income via Airbnb, and the lesser cost on the engineering of plumbing, electrical, and other utilities.     Robert further shares the flexibility of the business with the different opportunities they can delve into. One of which was inspired by how his family actually loves camping, having an RV himself. Most of their relatives too, love camping, but they do not have an RV, so now they rent out units for short term, and a simple change in the marketing strategy allowed for bigger engagement already. Especially for properties that do not have any social media marketing already set up, Robert says that even a drone shot of the place is already a big change.     About Robert Preston:  Robert Preston grew up on a farm where he learned self-reliance, independence, and gratitude from a young age. These values carry through everything he does today. As a young adult, he joined the Marines to fly planes because he wanted to serve the country and do so in the coolest way possible. He was a V-22 and T-6B pilot and was also a naval flight instructor.  These paths taught him the value of making deep long-term commitments, which he brings to his family, his business, and their investor partner relationships each and every day. Armed with these ideals and values that he try every day to make the world better than how he found it.   He finished B.S Economics at Clemson University and became Principal and Founder of Climb Capital, a real estate private equity firm focused on improving workforce housing to enhance the lives of their residents and to provide steady returns to their investors. They are actively buying apartments, mobile home parks, and RV parks on the Gulf Coast and the Southeast.    Outline of the episode:   [00:26] Robert Preston, background and present endeavors [09:12] Robert's entrepreneurial efforts [13:30] Why Robert chose RV parks and advantages [21:49] More on the flexibility of the business with an RV park [25:57] The challenges Robert faced in his investing career [32:34] Fire Round with Robert  And many more!      Connect with Robert Preston:  Website  LinkedIn    Connect with Cashflow Project!  Website  LinkedIn  Youtube  Facebook  Instagram

Join Steve Ferrios, as he chats with Ryan Barone, CEO, CTO, and Co-founder of the RentRedi App. Ryan talks about how he was able to easily find an apartment in New York but was not aware of how hard it is to keep one. From this point moving forward, Ryan figured that it was actually a very common issue for tenants in New York thus, RentRedi was born. It was primarily used to help him and his friends process the application for a new apartment until a landlord reached out to them, giving Ryan the initial piece of crucial expansion for the app's services. More on the App and Ryan's mindset on the Fire Round in this episode so be sure to stay tuned!   RentRedi was a solution to a common problem: Ryan made the RentRedi app to make the application process for apartments easier for him and his friends. This was after he realized that having to look for a new place is a frequent occurrence in New York City. Not much longer, he had landlords trying to connect with him after they learned of the app he developed, and soon enough they now have operations within all the 50 states. Might be a stroke of perfect coincidence but the app he developed just to make apartment hunting easy now is a business that continuously grows, providing services for rent collection, maintenance, listings, lease signings, and many more functions.   Constant feedback for constant growth: Ryan's app from the getgo was a product of constant feedback. It was only supposed to be used by him and his friends until a landlord asked to be involved as it was helpful for them as well. From then on they have continued to improve and broaden the lists of functions and services that the app provides from both landlords and tenants. A single point of problem that was shared by a small circle of people is now being solved by something that covers the US and is already receiving demand from European landlords for possible expansion of the app. Although this wouldn't have been possible without Ryan's constant effort, it would have been so much harder had he not been open to feedback.     About Ryan Barone: It all started when CEO Ryan Barone lost out on a great apartment in New York City. A double major, top of his class, and with an internship on Wall Street - getting documents for rental applications shouldn't have been a problem. But it was. And it wasn't just an issue for him.   Speaking with friends, he found the application process for rentals was difficult for everyone, tenants and landlords. Gathering and storing documents and having them easily available for landlords was a problem - and RentRedi became the solution.    Ryan began developing the RentRedi mobile app. However, as he met with more landlords, the difficulties of the renting process became more obvious. It was clear many of the hurdles landlords encountered while managing their rentals could be streamlined with the use of technology for landlords.   What started as a mobile application app for tenants had developed into a sleek, comprehensive dashboard built for landlords by landlords. Now, RentRedi is an all-inclusive landlord-tenant app that helps landlords go mobile and manage rentals from wherever, whenever.   Outline of the episode: ●    [01:30] Ryan's journey into entrepreneurship through his app ●    [05:09] Finding the biggest problems and biggest solutions from both sides ●    [11:33] Other projects or efforts that Ryan is currently working on ●    [15:10] Advice for budding entrepreneurs ●    [17:51] Fire round with Ryan ●    [19:15] Ryan's advice to people working towards financial freedom   Connect with Ryan Barone: Website LinkedIn Facebook   Connect with Cashflow Project! Dream, network, push the vision forward- pretty soon things fall in line.  During this episode of the Rebel and Be Well Podcast we had the fortune of interviewing polar explorer Ann Bancroft. Not only a renowned adventurer, but one of the world's preeminent polar explorers and an internationally recognized leader who is dedicated to inspiring women and girls around the world to unleash the power of their dreams. Through her various roles as an explorer, educator, sought-after speaker and philanthropist, Ann believes that by sharing stories related to her dreams of outdoor adventure, she can help inspire a global audience to pursue their individual dreams. Ann's teamwork and leadership skills have undergone severe tests during her polar expeditions and provided her with opportunities to shatter female stereotypes. The tenacity and courage that define her character have earned Ann worldwide recognition as one of today's most influential role models for women and girls. She has been named among Glamour magazine's "Women of the Year" (2001); featured in the book Remarkable Women of the Twentieth Century (1998); inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame (1995); named Ms. magazine's "Woman of the Year" (1987); and honored with numerous other awards for her accomplishments. Ann's passion for exploring our natural world is matched by her enthusiasm for teaching children. After earning a bachelor of science degree in physical education from the University of Oregon, Ann taught physical and special education in Minneapolis and Saint Paul and coached various high school sports. Ann founded the Ann Bancroft Foundation (ABF) in 1991 to support the educational mission of the historic all-women's Antarctic polar expedition in 1993.  On this episode we talk about discovering passion and purpose. Ann discusses how finding greater purpose, and a broader mission than your own ambition, is the true game changer and catalyst for reaching remarkable goals.  We asked Ann: What is the journey of finding and maintaining purpose in life? Join Vince as he chats with Ethan Neumann and Harris Trail as they share how they found wholesaling right before the pandemic started and went from there to multifamily instead. Partners for a couple of years now, leading The Visioneer Group, They both look back into what their motivations were before that led them to opt-out of college and pursue real estate full time. In this episode, Ethan and Harris will tackle the subjects of finding the right environment, including people, finding the right sources of information, following the right systems, keeping track of your progress, and making adjustments to ensure attainment in every set amount of time. This episode is surely packed with many tips and tricks to keep you on track in your entrepreneurial journey! Put energy where it counts One of the key topics for this episode is making sure that your energy is invested properly at the right point that is crucial to reaching your goal. Part of this is to remove the “middleman” in the processes or systems that you will be following, even when you don't know you do. This also includes being smart about choosing where to invest, weighing the difference between making a lot of smaller investments or making a lesser amount but of big investments, only in this episode, the case would be about multi-family units or duplexes. Systems are not limited to software Starting habits with little details like getting up early sounds mundane but is actually not only difficult but also highly crucial to ensure that set goals will be achieved. Setting bigger-than-life goals is easy but to be able to achieve these goals. Systems of behavior and mindset are just as important as following systems in making deals and negotiations. Of course, software programs being used to help with the speed of which and organizational level of data that are being utilized are also helpful to sorting out data for business, only, finding the correct source of data can not only save time but also money.  About Ethan and Harris:  Ethan Neumann is an entrepreneur, podcast host, syndicator, realtor, and lifetime learner. He got started in real estate at the age of eighteen when he founded a single-family investment company that did 300k in revenue its first year.   He currently serves as the co-founder and Director of Investor Relations for Visioneer Capital where he coaches his network and fellow realtors interested in commercial real estate investing.   Harris Trail is a full-time entrepreneur, investor, and licensed real estate agent. Harris has been a part of the success of multiple startup companies since starting his entrepreneurial journey at age 16. He leverages this experience to develop efficient systems that scale, value-based marketing strategies, and acts as the backbone for Visioneer Capital's exceptional user experience.   Outline of the episode: [01:56] How Ethan and Harris began with entrepreneurship [03:49] How they shifted from wholesaling to multi-family [06:55] What goals to set on how much amount time [12:52] Importance of partnerships with aligned visions [16:18] Importance of following a system [19:57] The right place to get the right information [25:34] How systems translate to deals [39:00] How to make adjustments to reach goals [41:38] Advice for young entrepreneurs [46:42] Fire Round, book recommendations, and other questions Resources: ●    Website ●    Facebook ●    Instagram   Connect with The Cashflow Project! http://tricityequity.com/ https://www.facebook.com/tricityequity/?ref=br_rs https://www.instagram.com/tricityequity/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmHtQmPpl5MtUG1LCpzIqGQ https://www.linkedin.com/in/tricity-equity-group-21877a1a7/

Robert has worked on many projects, including his newest major conversion project worth 1.7 Million.   In 2008, Robert made his first investment.
