Sherri:Rev. Sherri grew up in a small town in New England. After graduating from college she worked for the Lutheran Church as a Youth Ministry consultant. Although she felt a call to a vocation in ministry at an early age, it wasn't until a friend introduced her to a Science of Mind and Spirit community many years later that this calling was reawakened. After graduating from the Holmes Institute with a Masters in Consciousness Studies, Rev. Sherri is now a licensed staff minister at Universal Spirit Center in San Diego. Sherri's higher purpose in life was crafted during one of her ministerial classes and still holds true. She states, “My noble purpose is to compassionately share the teachings of Religious Science so that others may experience love and unity with God, and gain tools to lead meaningful and joy-filled lives.”Universal Spirit CenterWorld Ministry of Prayer

EPISODE Part 2:The renowned physicist and philosopher David Bohm once said, “The great strength of science is that it is rooted in actual experience. The great weakness of contemporary science is that it admits only certain types of experience as legitimate.” Life after death, or the survival of post-mortem consciousness, is one of the areas modern science has tended to shun despite the fact that there is a mountain of evidence that supports it. The volume of evidence is indisputable, from over 1700 solved reincarnation cases, plus countless other examples of out of body experiences, messages received in dreams, and much more, including so-called near death experiences (which are often after clinical death has been noted). The evidence is there, so the question becomes: “Why do we not believe it? “ Is it because it upends our current paradigm based on the notion of a fundamentally material universe and consciousness being an epiphenomenon of matter? Or is it because our understanding of time, space, and consciousness is too limited? Reverend Deborah L. Johnson was interviewed by Rev. Jackie Walden live in the Awakening Together sanctuary on Sunday February 20, 2022. Rev. Deb shares insight on forgiveness, grief, social justice, gratitude and saying YES. She reminds us that what the world needs most is for us to be awake. Rev. Deborah is the founding minister and president of Inner Light Ministries and The Motivational Institute. A life-long social justice activist, Rev. Deborah is the successful co-litigant in two landmark cases in California – one set precedent for the inclusion of sexual orientation in the state's Civil Rights Bill, the other defeated the challenge to legalizing domestic partnerships. A voice for compassion, equality, and reconciliation, her primary focus has been on coalition building, conflict resolution, public policy development, and cultural sensitivity awareness. She holds a vision of Oneness, beyond creed and doctrine, and feels particularly called to heal the sense of separation between those adhering to conservative and progressive ideologies. Her groundbreaking work has been featured in numerous books, magazines, radio, and television programs including Conversations with Neale (Neale Donald Walsch) radio show, Shambhala Sun magazine, Showtime TV's Black Filmmaker Showcase production, Jumpin' the Broom, the film God and Gays: Bridging the Gap, and ABC Nightline. Rev. Deborah is the author of The Sacred Yes and Your Deepest Intent of the Letters from the Infinite series, as well as Living the Sacred Yes: Affirmations for Action. She is also co-writer of several songs on Singing the Sacred Yes by Valerie Joi. Wherever she goes, her message is always one of possibility, inclusion, empowerment, and transformation. As an advocate for continual and lifelong learning, Rev. Deborah is a faculty member at several institutes of higher learning: UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Business Executive Leadership Diversity Training Institute; Pacific School of Religion; Holmes Institute of Consciousness Studies; and the Agape University of Transformational Studies and Leadership. Rev. Celeste's guest is Dr. Amit Goswami (https://www.amitgoswami.org), quantum physicist. He was featured in "What the Bleep Do We Know", "The Dalai Lama Renaissance", "Bigger Questions" and other films. Rev. Celeste studied with him as part of her training at Holmes Institute. He is a scholar in high demand. His primary point is that consciousness is the ground of all being. The current view of many scientists is that matter makes up everything and humans are material and mechanical. Consciousness is not about the brain. The brain is an object. Consciousness means we are experiencing ourselves as separate from material. Quantum physics shows us that objects are not objects until we observe them. They are waves of possibility. Dr. Goswami was dissatisfied with the way we did science.  Science cannot be devoid of our experiences of love, beauty and justice.  Life is more than what can be predicted or controlled. Science can help create technology, but we don't live in technology. Physics is the fundamental science of everything. Since consciousness is the ground of both science and religion, people from all religions say that consciousness is where we must begin. Quantum science must support this because there are unsolved paradoxes and measurement paradoxes that do not occur in the brain.  Science has lost credibility because of this material dogma. We as observers have an impact on everything (the observer effect).Consciousness exists in both the head and heart. Due to the non-locality of consciousness, people can directly connect with each other without a signal because of feelings. Reincarnation is an important phenomenon in our development. It is important for older people to know they need not be afraid because a part of them will survive. They will be reborn. Death is not the end. Reincarnation happens because of a modification of the quantum mechanics of the person. It is not part of the brain memory. What we learn is not in the brain. Learning is non-local memory. We don't forget how to ride a bicycle because our capacity to learn is not part of the brain. The innate parts of us will survive. This reincarnation theory has been verified. Dr. Goswami and his colleague are holding an event this month to review death and reincarnation.Death can be very peaceful and joyful. In dying, one can pray and intend to be conscious at the moment of death and peacefully participate in the quantum non-locality. Dr. Goswami wrote many books. His more recent books include "Quantum Economics" and "Quantum Spirituality". His book: "Quantum Integrative Medicine" will change the healing profession forever. They have proven integrative medicine can be used to stay healthy. One can have an ageless body. We have to renew the software as we live. Cells die but you can be fully active until you die.Dr. Goswami has had four moments of mystic magic. One of them was in 1973 at a conference when he was a nuclear physicist. He was a speaker and he was not happy with his speech. He became jealous of the other speakers. Others got the attention and he did not. It did him good because at 1 am he asked himself why do I live this way? I can change. I can make my life congruent. He worked many hours. He desired to find happy physics that took him years to find.Meditation led him to samadhi. He felt oneness. His view of spirituality underwent a radical change. This led to other discoveries. You can have the experience of a quantum leap of insight, but you have to implement the insight into your life.  This was the most fruitful insight he ever had.  Listen to Rev. Celeste's poem: "The Ground of All Being".Support the show (http://paypal.me/rev107)

Today we are talking about mindfulness, intention and the bridge between the spiritual and the secular with Reverend Darrell Jones. Rev. Darrell Jones is a spiritual director and teacher who provides loving, nurturing and transformative one on one coaching and group learning experiences. In 2008 Darrell was licensed as a spiritual practitioner and in 2012 was licensed as a minister by the Centers for Spiritual Living. Overall, Rev. Darrell brings over 15 years of study and practice to his work. Darrell offers his services not only to the individual but also to groups and organizations through workshops, classes and speaking engagements. Rev. Darrell sees clients in the Chicago area for face to face sessions, however he also provides phone and video chat sessions to clients around the country and internationally. Darrell has lived in Chicago since 1995 and attended the first service of the Bodhi Spiritual Center in 2003. At that service he fell in love with the community and its teachings, becoming one of the original charter members. Darrell has always been involved in spiritual community as a son of a minister, but truly found his hunger for spiritual philosophy and practice fed with the teachings of Science of Mind and other New Thought teachings. After years of study, a deeper call came from the center of his being to enter training to become a spiritual practitioner, which culminated with his licensing in 2008. Always desiring to expand his understanding, practice and embodiment of wisdom and spiritual principle, Darrell entered the Holmes Institute in the fall of 2009 and graduated in the summer of 2012 with a Masters in Consciousness Studies and the designation of Reverend Darrell Jones. Darrell is taking his study of the major world religions, philosophy, psychology and quantum physics theory and expanding his work as a minister in the greater community as a spiritual leader that facilitates the awakening of inner wisdom in the individual, groups and organizations. Rev. Celeste hosts Rev Abigail Schairer as her guest. They discuss Freedom as a divine birthright whether or not we experience it in our minds or bodies. We remain spiritually free regardless of conditions during this pandemic. Abigail is grateful that she lives outside of Seattle where it is not densely populated. However, as an extrovert, she’s been feeling stir crazy!Rev. Abigail has always had an awareness that she can accept Freedom. Her mother was born on the 4th of July and encouraged Abigail to express herself freely. Her parents encouraged her to be authentic. The reverends discussed how Stanford University supports advanced degrees. Abigail worked at Stanford in Development and Marketing. And Stanford paid for her ministerial school education to support her in doing her work at Stanford. Abigail knew she wanted to be a minister ever since the first time she walked into Center for Spiritual Living San Jose (cslsj.org), but she thought it would be a second career. However, she went quickly into the pulpit at CSL Peninsula (https://www.cslpeninsula.org/) shortly after graduating from the Holmes Institute (http://holmesinstitute.edu/). Rev. Abigail discusses the intrinsic qualities that get taught out of people.Rev. Celeste asked Rev. Abigail if the United States is living upon to its promise of freedom. They agreed it is not. Abigail revisited the Declaration of Independence in advance of the show and noted that women, Black people and others were not part of this equation. And after reading through it, she realized that our nation is treating people the same way the framers complained about as the basis for their claim of independence from Britain. And even though gains have been made (e.g., Civil Rights, Gay Rights and Women’s Rights), it’s not the dream.Rev. Celeste told Rev. Abigail about the Women’s Declaration of Independence (https://g.co/kgs/g6kdfi) where the pronouns are balanced out for gender equity. This document was signed by 68 women and 32 men in 1848.Rev. Celeste states the reason we have any liberties is because, as a democracy, the people insisted on them.Rev. In this episode of "Reconstruction Calls," Spiritual Director Aaron Manes talks with Rev. Chris Terry about her journey to sobriety and why using the twelve step program as a guide can help all of us learn about ourselves and how to treat our own power as reconstructed people. Additionally they also play a game called "It's The End Of The World As We Know It" and talk typologies along the way. About the Guest: Rev. Chris Terry is the founding minister at HeartSpace Spiritual Center. Her preferred title is HOSS – Head of Spiritual Stuff. She enjoys a lighthearted approach to self and life. She is driven and guided by curiosity and the need to learn, and she lives most happily in the world of ideas and possibilities. While her passion is helping people grow, her genius lies in helping them discover and discard the patterns that block their inherent wholeness, freeing them to live in their own zone of genius. Chris's background is as diverse as her heritage, and includes entrepreneurship, volunteerism and alcoholism (recovered). She began her ministerial training the day she was born, but was formally trained through the Holmes Institute, where she received a Master's Degree in Consciousness Studies and was trained as a Science of Mind and Spirit Minister. Her ministerial license is through the Centers for Spiritual Living, an international organization over a quarter of a million strong. The Centers for Spiritual Living spiritual communities, including HeartSpace, are realizing the vision of a world that works for everyone and a life that works for each. Whether you're a devout believer or a staunch atheist, the research is clear: prayer works. Here's what also works: introspective time, mindfulness, positive focus, and big ideas. Science has proven that your brain physically changes through the regular practice of prayer, meditation, and mindfulness, and the changes can happen in as little as six to eight weeks. Our guest on this week's show has dedicated his life to the study of positive neural changes through prayer and spiritual practices, and his discoveries will surprise you.  Listen & Learn:  The three-yawn technique for instant mindfulness How prayer, meditation, and mindfulness can change your brain Why these positive benefits have nothing to do with the existence (or inexistence) of God How chanting, singing, and spiritual experiences are only valuable if there is time afterward to integrate and reflect on the experience  Links & Resources:   Mark's books on Amazon Mark's Site ABOUT OUR GUEST Mark Robert Waldman is Executive MBA Faculty at Loyola Marymount University.
