Per esempio, nel 1976 uscirono 2 canzoni intitolate I wanna see what you're like in bed (che si traduce “Voglio vedere come sei a letto”) e She's hot, she's sexy. Adesso parliamo di un'altra canzone: Never on Sunday. Fra i diversi interpreti segnaliamo Connie Francis. Anche questa canzone parlava di una prostituta. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/corgiov/message

Vamos a verlos.

In this episode we chat to the incredible Juliet Davenport OBE, and creator of Good Energy – the UK's first 100% renewable energy company. Juliet founded Good Energy in 1999, for the purpose of creating a way for people and businesses to be part of the solution to climate change. Having grown up in a high carbon world (her father is the legendary rallying co-driver John Davenport), Juliet spent most of her time as a child either on the side of a race track or watching fast cars in a forest. Juliet went on to study physics at Oxford, before focusing on atmospheric physics and namely the physics of climate change. So whilst the journey of Good Energy may have originated in Oxford, today Good Energy supplies renewable energy to more than 73k households & businesses in the UK, dedications which earned her an OBE in 2013 for services to renewables. Chatting to Juliet was a pleasure and in today's episode we discuss her journey, her dogs, Good Energy's Youth Board, combating the Covid pandemic and the challenges faced and what she envisages for the future once the pandemic abates. BRAND NEW SHOW ALERT!! BRITISH INVASION Ep 22.5 JULY 2021The British are coming!! The British are coming!!Let the reverie begin for all music lovers who will hear these great sounds and bands from our fine talented friends from "across the pond"!!Its nearing the 4th of July here in the states as we celebrate our great yet tattered country that has much rebuilding to do but we are Americans and we are resilient just like our friendships abroad. As we look back to important holidays like Memorial Day, where so many allied forces gave their lives in the name of freedom, we are reminded of great relationships forged over the years with our friends we fought so hard to break free from then we fought along side of to help rid the world of tyranny.Memorial Day weekend 2015, NARROW PLAINS won a spectacular contest to come to the states and work with famed producer John Davenport and play a couple gigs while they were here. I got the pleasure of meeting with the gents in my home area at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC. I was elated to meet these fine chaps, we had a beer, some laughs, and a great interview which you can find posted on the podcast feed. I was honored to flap my gums with the fellas for 320 mins and record their show. I used some "live excerpts" from the show in Greensboro and mixed them with their song they recorded at Deep River Studios in Sanford NC, USA!So with Memorial Day recently passing in May and 4th of July coming its a great time to remember and honor our British, Irish, and Scottish pals from way across the "giant lake" of salt and seaweed...lolSpeaking of memorials....We have a special TRIBUTE in this episode for VIOLA BEACH, young British rockers with a HUGE future who's lives were so tragically taken from this world in a terrible auto accident in Sweden in 2016! Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of these wonderful young men. I appreciate this rare opportunity I was given to help support this band and help with their release of a possible new tribute album in the future! I'm very honored to Have VIOLA BEACH in my camp of talented artists! Its so ironic to be doing this show now unplanned mind you, I got the idea off one of my US artists spent some time evidently in London and met a friend or potential lover, not sure which. Fordham Conversations host Emmanuel Berbari talks with Philosophy professor John Davenport about President Biden’s first 100 days, address to a joint session of Congress, the ongoing voting rights battle and how proposed DC statehood can shake up a stagnation in Washington.
After a turbulent several months, the Constitution reaffirmed the initial outcome of the general election, certifying President Joe Biden's victory. However, that did come without President Trump's claims of fraud, massive distrust from Republican voters, over 60 GOP lawsuit losses and a mob inside the United States Capitol. To prevent further chaos and lower the temperature in the country, the vast majority of American citizens must trust election results and operate on the same set of facts. That's what Fordham Philosophy professor John Davenport discusses with Emmanuel Berbari on this week's edition of Fordham Conversations — potential reforms for the 117th Congress to consider, potential issues with coming elections and much more.

Growing up, Britton preferred picking flowers in the outfield to actually playing the game. He left sports behind and followed his intuition toward guitar and musical theater. Britton's parents introduced him to '70s and '80s rock and folk music, and he joined a classic rock band when he was 13. A year later, he won a songwriting contest that gave him the opportunity to record with renowned engineer John Davenport, whose credits include Robert Palmer's album "Riptide" and Bruce Springsteen's album "Born in the U.S.A." Britton is now embarking on his solo career as a musical artist. https://www.brittonbuchanan.com/

John Davenport, Chief Scientist of Energy Focus, discusses fluorescent lighting and first generation LED lights and how the flicker can affect us and may also interfere with hospital equipment. He discusses the recent advances in LED lighting that is flicker free and the advantages to having fluorescent lighting retrofitted with state of the art LED lighting. LED lighting is also poised to transform ordinary environments into smart environments as health care institutions adopt the Internet of Things (IoT) across their facilities.

This is a re-release from Mar 2018. I had to drop it from Podomatic to make room but these awesome guys at PODOMATIC just doubled my storage space!! Thanks fellas! Sooooo....they are back. NARROW PLAINS, what an outstanding acoustic trio from London, UK. They won a contest to come to America to North Carolina and worked with famed producer John Davenport and even had an interview with me and I got to see them play out a show at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC. These chaps have had their music featured on BBC radio all over the UK and are steadily growing their base at about 70k strong! I'm proud to know these good gents and look forward to more quality tunes from these wooden wind pipes of England. Doctor John Davenport returns to the podcast, and while his work on eliminating flicker has succeeded beyond our current capacity to measure, there are other facets of human health he’s trying to improve upon, namely safety lighting. Retrofits on tubes often leave the original battery-powered bug-eye lamps in place, and while those do have LED equivalents, John had a better idea that works in more places - a tube with it's own sensors and it's own built-in batteries. Michael and Greg take this as a great chance to sell some new hardware and crash into another stream of the lighting industry.
Many “Johns” helped spread the gospel in colonial New England. On this episode of 5 Minutes in Church History, Dr. Stephen Nichols introduces us to John Eliot, John Davenport, John Tennent, John Brainerd, and John Wauwaumpequunnaunt. Read the transcript.
The year is ending with a bang, as Aquaman, Mary Poppins Returns, and Bumblebee all hit theaters for the holiday season. One, an enormously charismatic hero with the ability to communicate on a deeper level with every living being while simultaneously saving lives. The other two, Aquaman and Bumblebee. On this special episode, we explore each of these three behemoths and their respective plots and details. First up, we trip a light fantastic as we sashay into Mary Poppins Returns! Emily Blunt picks up the umbrella and returns to theaters just in time to put that stoic narcissism and delightful penchant for a song to the test and save the Banks family from certain ruin. Joined by Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blunt grasps ahold of Mary Poppins and makes it her own, but does it live up to the original? Poppins, music, insanity, and family - we explore a world of imagination as Aaron and Amanda discuss Mary Poppins Returns. Next, Bumblebee. Set in 1987, Hailee Steinfeld stars as Charlie, a young girl who has recently lost her father and her inner light. She’s a mechanic like her dad, and she’s desperate to repair her father's car when frustration leads her to an old bug. Which happens to be Bumblebee after his unfortunate voice incident. The two become fast friends before having to fend off both an irrational government, and a pair of rowdy Decepticons dead-set on information Bumblebee has on Optimus Prime. Lastly, we dive into DC's latest hero, Aquaman. Born a son to an underwater Queen (Nicole Kidman) and a human, Arthur Curry learns he is destined to rule the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. Along the way, he must challenge his brother Orm, and fend off the villainous Manta. For this section, Aaron is joined by John Davenport and Brian Williams to debate Arthur Curry's journey towards his rightful place as King, Jason Momoa's entry into the DC Universe, Amber Heard's hair, Patrick Wilson's flair, and James Wan's direction. In 2011, a series of uprisings known as the Arab Spring briefly gave the impression that democracy was on an unstoppable march across the globe. Seven years later, it hasn’t exactly turned out that way. Egypt has embraced authoritarianism, Libya is in a state of near anarchy, and Syria has been mired in a catastrophic civil war for seven years. Meanwhile, the international influence of authoritarian countries such as China and Russia has grown significantly. John Davenport, a professor of philosophy at Fordham, says these and many more developments are proof that NATO and the United Nations Security Council, the two bodies best equipped to promote human rights and peace, are no longer up to the job. In a book that will be published by Routledge this fall, Davenport makes the case for creating what he calls a “League of Democracies.”
In his upcoming book "League of Democracies," Fordham philosophy professor John Davenport notes that in many ways, the challenges the world's democracies face are similar to those that America's founding fathers faced in the 18th century. In this extended bonus track, Davenport delves into the ways in which game theory explains how.

Transformers is a franchise that fans have a difficult time with, as they often say it's going the wrong direction. Well this week we try something a little different and Remake Transformers RIGHT! Remake This Movie RIGHT! is a bi-monthly podcast where we take a classic film that is actively being remade by Hollywood studio execs, and craft our own version for a modern retelling. Does the story need updating? Should characters or motives be tweaked? Do we need more muppets? We take all factors into account, concoct our film, and then offer a Final Pitch to you in movie trailer form. By the end of each episode, we will Remake This Movie RIGHT! Our show is broken down into three distinct parts: The Original: We discuss the original film’s impact, some quick trivia bits, what worked the best from the film and therefore must remain in our upcoming remake, and what didn’t work or what needs to be changed for today’s audiences. The Remake: We put together our movie! What story do we want to tell, how close to the original will it be, who will star, and ultimately who should direct our eventual cinematic masterpiece? Our hosts work together to put together one cohesive movie, but there is one caveat - Each host has one ‘CUT!’ throughout the episode to employ which could completely derail the entire film. The Final Pitch: This is where we summarize our remake by utilizing the voice talents of voiceover artist Wayne Henderson and present our finished remake to you in parody movie trailer form! Disagree with our picks? Want to submit a pitch of your own for our next teaser episode? Thoughts on this episode or suggestions for future episodes?
