Cal & Liam are kicking off a new month with a return to a format they first introduced last year where they recap a pair of DCAU characters and pit them against one another in a simulated contest to see who they believe would come out on top in their second edition of Meta-Brawl. This edition features the "Main Man" Lobo in a battle against John Henry Irons aka Steel. The hosts talk about the comic book origins of both characters before covering their DCAU story arcs, theme music, the voice actors that brought both to life as well as DCAU tie-in comic appearances and merchandise. When all is said in done the hosts go through their final scorecards and declare one fighter their winner of the second Meta-Brawl. Who will come out victorious? It Can’t Be Stated Enough… Fuck You James Gunn. This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl review episode 3 of Dune: Prophecy. Then the day of sadness has arrived when they have to review the FINAL of Superman & Lois (Supes & Lolo if you’re nasty). Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Dunc: Prophecy: 3:41 Supes & Lolo: 16:18 Dune: Prophecy (HBO Max) Out of 5 Harkonnen by Any Other Name is Still a Hogs Darryl: 3.81/5 Brian: 3.89/5 Summary In Episode 3 of Dune: Prophecy, titled “Sisterhood Above All,” the narrative delves into the complex past of the Harkonnen sisters, Valya and Tula, shedding light on their motivations and the origins of their vendetta against House Atreides. Flashback to Lankiveil: The episode predominantly unfolds through a flashback to the sisters' harsh upbringing on the icy planet of Lankiveil. Valya (portrayed by Jessica Barden) is depicted as ambitious and resolute, determined to restore her family's tarnished honor. Her brother, Griffin, shares this sentiment and ventures to confront Vorian Atreides, only to return dead. This tragedy fuels Valya's desire for retribution against House Atreides. However, her family, concerned about her growing obsession, decides to send her to Wallach IX to join the Sisterhood, hoping to temper her vengeful inclinations. Tula's Deadly Mission: Meanwhile, Tula (played by Emma Canning) takes a different path. Encouraged by Valya to escape their desolate home planet, Tula infiltrates House Atreides by seducing Orry Atreides (Milo Callaghan). Despite developing genuine feelings for him, Tula remains committed to her sister's quest for vengeance. During a sacred hunt, she cunningly poisons the Atreides family members, leading to their near-total annihilation. In a poignant moment, Tula spares a young Atreides boy, allowing the bloodline to persist. This act of both love and ruthlessness highlights the internal conflict between her personal emotions and familial loyalty. Formation of the Bene Gesserit: The episode also explores Valya's early experiences with the Sisterhood. Initially skeptical about taking the Sisterhood vow, Valya's determination and unique abilities, such as her early use of the Voice, capture the attention of Mother Superior Raquella. This sets the stage for Valya's eventual rise within the Bene Gesserit, intertwining her personal vendettas with the Sisterhood's broader ambitions. Overall, “Sisterhood Above All” provides a deeper understanding of the Harkonnen sisters' motivations and the lengths they are willing to go to achieve their goals, setting the foundation for the intricate power dynamics that define the series. Superman and Lois (The CW) Out of 5 Fuck You James Gunns (Series Finale) Darryl: 4.25/5 Brian: 4.99/5 Out of 10 Back From The Dead One Too Many Times (Season 4) Darryl: 9/10 Brian: 9.25/10 Out of 10 Clark Kent Nerd Dad FTWs (Series) Darryl: 9.85/10 Brian: 9.57/10 Summary The series finale of Superman & Lois, titled “It Went By So Fast,” delivers a poignant conclusion to the saga of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. After a climactic battle where Superman defeats Lex Luthor and Doomsday, the episode transitions into a heartfelt montage spanning over 32 years. This sequence showcases significant milestones: the marriage of John Henry Irons and Lana Lang, the growth of Jordan and Jonathan as they start families, and ultimately, the peaceful passing of Clark and Lois. In their final moments, Lois succumbs to a resurgence of cancer, followed by Clark, who, having become fully human in his old age, is deeply affected by her loss. The series concludes with their reunion in an afterlife, underscoring themes of enduring love and hope. A particularly notable scene involves a posthumous encounter between Clark and Lex Luthor. In this moment, Clark forgives a remorseful Lex, who is seen crying—a departure from typical portrayals of their relationship. This act of forgiveness highlights Superman's embodiment of hope and compassion, even towards his greatest adversary. The finale also features a subtle nod to the series Grimm, with David Giuntoli, the real-life husband of Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), making a cameo appearance. Overall, the episode provides a comprehensive and emotional closure to the series, emphasizing the importance of family, love, and forgiveness. Season four of SUPERMAN & LOIS picks up right where last season left off: with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Luthor's monster locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle, as Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) fights for his life against the seemingly unstoppable creature. Back on the ground, General Lane (guest star Dylan Walsh) struggles to stay alive after being kidnapped by Luthor's henchmen, while Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Jordan (Alex Garfin), and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) race against time to rescue him. But standing in their way is Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz) himself, who has permanently moved to Smallville as the next step in his malicious plan to destroy Lois Lane. Meanwhile, Lana Lang (guest star Emanuelle Chriqui) uses her position as Mayor to fight back against Luthor's schemes, a move which puts her in the sights of the most dangerous man in the world and threatens everything she holds dear. This includes her relationship with John Henry Irons (guest star Wolé Parks), who must put his Ironworks plans on hold and rejoin the DOD, now that General Lane is missing. But they aren't the only duo in trouble, as Chrissy Beppo (guest star Sofia Hasmik) and Kyle Cushing (guest star Eric Valdez) face an uphill battle of their own, with countless roadblocks that threaten to ruin their future together. Amid all the chaos, Sarah Cortez (guest star Inde Navarette) and Natalie Irons (guest star Tayler Buck) also join the fight against Luthor, while both facing impossible decisions about their paths in life. And as Clark's battle with the terrifying monster continues, Lois, her boys, and the world must face an unthinkable possibility: what if Superman never returns?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

A DePalmber to ReMalmber reaches its thrilling conclusion as our intrepid director kicks off an action mega-franchise with an opening entry that's far more 'film' than 'flick' -- it's 1996's Mission: Impossible, directed by Brian DePalma, written by David Koepp and Robert Towne, and starring Tom Cruise, Jon Voight, Emmanuelle Béart, Henry Czerny, Jean Reno, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Redgrave, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emilio Estevez and Rolf Saxon. This classic of the 90s now takes its rightful place in the ADHD-DVD canon. Somehow, perhaps in viewing it within the context of some of DePalma's broader work, both hosts enjoyed this movie more than ever before on this latest rewatch. All that plus-with bonus-also: Justin's got theatrical field reports on The Holdovers and Godzilla Minus One, and Hayley can't receive gifts. Other works discussed in this episode include The Boy and the Heron, Godzilla (1997, 2014), Godzilla vs Kong, Friday Night Lights, Fooled Around Fell In Love by Elvin Bishop, Guardians of the Galaxy, Topkapi, and the entire Mission: Impossible franchise. If you'd like to watch the film before listening to our discussion, and it's not a requirement though in the case of a fine film such as this we do recommend you do, it can be found streaming on Paramount+(with). We'll be back next week with the first annual Shaqmas celebration on the program, as we honour Hayley's holiday tradition by watching a film starring Shaquille O'Neal on Christmas. This year it's friend and former guest EJ Feddes making his return with an unseen film from his collection: Steel (1997), starring Shaq as John Henry Irons, DC Comics' black Superman. It's... not very good, which should make it lots of fun to talk about, so we'll see you next week at the movies!

WELCOME TO BIBBO'S B-MOVIES! Home of the lesser-loved (and just generally lesser) superhero movies of yesteryear! Rob and Alan shepherd in this new side-show with the help of long time friend of the podcast Stuart Mulrain from 'And Why Not' and this week we're haphazardly freethrowing our thoughts and takes regarding the ill-fated "STEEL" movie from 1997 starring none other than Shaquille O'Neal and directed by 'Incredible Hulk' alum Kenneth Johnson.   Why does Steel look like he bought his armour at Party City? What has John Henry Irons got against veterans' hospitals? Do Superman and Batman exist in this world? Who designed Judd Nelson's insane leather jacket? All of these questions and more are discussed and disseminated in a decidedly ruder ep than usual (possibly not one for the kiddos!)   RATE AND REVIEW THE SHOW ON APPLE PODCASTS, PODBEAN AND SPOTIFY, PLEASE AND THANK YOU!   FACEBOOK:    @allstarsuperfan INSTAGRAM: @allstarsuperfan TWITTER:       @allstarsuperpod EMAIL:             allstarsuperpod@gmail.com   Thanks to Shawn Allen for our music and Aaron Price for our artwork.

On an all-new episode of Superman and Lois, Cassie takes the night off and leaves Ryan in charge. He demands Katelynn and Mike help him break down the second season finale of Superman and Lois! We've been messing around with these Bizarro dumb dumbs (or is that smart smarts) for awhile now. It's high time Superman gets off of his butt and saves the day, despite not having any of his powers. Meanwhile. Tal is learning how to be a brother, Lois is learning how to be honest with co-workers, and Jordan and Jonathon are learning how to drive their sweet manly trucks. Also in this episode, it's the start of the 2022 Shushies! Every year, the Superhero Show Show gives an award to the best shows in the world of Superhero TV, and it begins tonight with best ensemble! Will the cast of Superman and Lois get nominated, making this a very themed show? Nope! As if that wasn't enough, the Superhero Show Show interview with the http://www.fortressofbaileytude.com/category/the-superman-and-lois-tapes/ (Superman and Lois Tapes) podcast concludes, and now it's time for Katelynn to take over! Kayelynn asks https://twitter.com/BaileysPodcasts (Mike), https://twitter.com/booknerdguru (Bethany), and https://twitter.com/AliSkyRichards (Ali) what they hope for the Superman and Lois finale, their hopes for season 3, and the ultimate Supes question: Superman and Lois or Smallville.  All of that, plus discussions about and reviews of the rest of the week's shows, including Riverdale, Ms. Marvel, the second and third episodes of The Umbrella Academy, the season finale of The Flash, and of course...Herogasm on this week's The Boys! That's too much gosh darn show! 1997 was an odd year for comic book movies. In addition to Batman & Robin, '97 gave us Steel, a film starring Shaquille O'Neal as John Henry Irons, a man who builds himself a metal suit to fight crime with the help of his disabled partner Sparks. Joel and Andy revisit the film to find its silver lining.

In the comics, Ted is one of three people who have gone by the name of Blue Beetle. A heroic legacy that started in 1940, Kord's version of the Blue Beetle was the most Green Arrow-like: an inventor and industrialist who didn't have any special powers but who did have a lot of tech, mostly Beetle-themed. It's rumored that he was supposed to be the character who eventually evolved into Ray Palmer, but DC had other plans for the character — widely believed to be the forthcoming Booster Gold movie. Tech Village - This not-quite-a-Best-Buy is the name of the store where Felicity Smoak worked at the beginning Arrow's third season. This may be the first time it's had an in-story reference in at least a full season that wasn't just a brief callback to "Felicity worked there once." It is also, due to Ray Palmer's attempts to recruit Felicity to work for him, a subsidiary of Palmer Tech. Palmer Tech - Of course, this is the company formerly owned by Ray Palmer, and then Felicity Smoak. Before that, it was Oliver's company, which he signed over to Ravager as part of Deathstroke's attack on Oliver and the city. It's unclear who owns it now — maybe it's just whichever stockholder has a plurality and nobody exciting at all — but after four years of the company being one of the most regularly-used sets on the show, this is the first time we've gone back this year. Amertek - Church took RPGs from Amertek? We weren't going to mention Amertek necessarily, since we just talked about it a couple of episodes ago, but it's definitely worth noting that in the comics, the company's most notorious weapon is a modified RPG colloquially called a Toastmaster, which was designed by John Henry Irons during his time working for Ametek. Cell 1138 - John's cell number is a nod to THX 1138, George Lucas's directorial debut. It's arguably better known among the average moviegoer for giving the first bit of its name to THX, Lucas's revolutionary sound system, but the film itself remains one of Lucas's best-reviewed works and a reminder that he did great work outside of just Star Wars and Indiana Jones. It's worth noting that at one point in the film, the title character THX and one of his fellow prisoners (SEN 5241) stage a jail break from a facility where most of the other inmates have no desire to leave — kind of like Diggle had no desire to leave at the start of the episode. Molecular Destabilizer - That spray, used to immediately and dramatically destabilize the molecules in anything it's sprayed on (how does it stay in the bottle?), feels like a nod to the universal solvent in the first arc of All-Star Squadron. In that story, a solvent designed by villain Dr. Zodiak was used to dissolve everything from walls to guns, and made the gimmick weapons used by a number of Justice Society of America members pretty useless. Callback - This one is kind of an odd mention, but it's interesting to note that Friedkin's comments to Oliver in jail -- "do you think you scare me more than him?" -- are echoed in the present day almost immediately by the man being interrogated by Adrian Chase. ARROW NEWS:   Marc Guggenheim reveals the title of Arrow's 100th episode (Date: 23 Oct 2016) While Arrow takes its hundredth episode to celebrate the four-plus seasons that have come before, it also has to balance the needs of a four-show crossover that will bring Supergirl into The Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Guggenheim said, "Arrow episode 508 is called 'Invasion!' with the exclamation point. And Legends of Tomorrow 207 is going to be 'Invasion!'. I'll leave it up to you to guess what The Flash is called." Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/23/marc-guggenheim-reveals-the-title-of-arrows-100th-episode/   Is Tommy Merlyn really Prometheus? (Date:23 Oct 2016) The article discusses the possibility that Tommy Merlyn could be Prometheus. Tommy could be alive due to Flashpoint or Malcolm using the Lazarus pit. Since producers like Marc Guggenheim has said “Oliver bears a measure of responsibility for the creation of Prometheus,” longtime viewers are convinced the villain is more so connected to Oliver as a person than as a vigilante. Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/24/arrow-is-tommy-merlyn-really-prometheus-/    Stephen Amell posts bloody Arrow selfie (Date: xx month year) “Arrow” lead Stephen Amell has posted a bloody selfie indicating that he shot quite a violent scene over the weekend. Amell is sporting long locks and facial hair, indicating that this beating he takes will occur during one of “Arrow's” trademark flashback sequences. Link:http://www.cbr.com/stephen-amell-posts-bloody-arrow-selfie/   David Ramsey reveals how Diggle will respond to Flashpoint changes (Date:24  Oct 2016) Flashpoint changed Diggle's family. How will Diggle handle the revelation? "Much more compassionately than you might think," Ramsey said. "Diggle can't miss anything he's never had and 'Flashpoint' changes history -- it changes his history directly -- so he never can really miss Baby Sara anymore, because he never had her, but he is concerned about Barry. Barry's actions were reckless, and with all that power, being reckless -- to someone as disciplined as Diggle -- comes as a shock." Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/24/david-ramsey-reveals-how-diggle-will-respond-to-flashpoint-chang/   Arrow season 5 episode 10 title revealed (Date: 25 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim has taken to Twitter and finally revealed the title for Season Five's tenth episode. The tenth episode of Season Five is called “Who Are You?” Guggenheim informed fans that the episode was now in production under director's Gregory Smith guidance. Aside from their involvement in Team “Arrow,” fans know virtually nothing about Oliver Queen's new recruits — but that's about to change. Though the three “Arrow” stars were unable to offer too many details, Joe Dinicol, Madison McLaughlin and Rick Gonzales teased some new information about where their characters came from, why they became vigilantes and what affects their dynamic within the team. Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrow-wild-dog-artemis-more-weigh-in-on-their-characters-pasts/   Stephen Amell reveals how Arrow's hundredth episode begins (Date: 26 Oct 2016) “The hundredth episode of Arrow begins in a very appropriate way: it begins with Oliver running," Amell revealed. "We've had him running into the premiere almost every year, we didn't have him running in this year, but we have him running in the hundredth episode." Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/26/stephen-amell-reveals-how-arrows-hundredth-episode-begins/   Arrow's Stephen Amell talks Casey Jones/Wild Dog comparisons (Date: 26 Oct 2016) Amell has a sense of humor about Wild Dog being in a hockey mask like Casey Jones. "One of the producers asked me, 'Do you think this is too on the nose?' I was like, 'No, becuase why are we doing this show if we're not going to have fun with something like that?'" Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/25/arrows-stephen-amell-talks-casey-jones-wild-dog-comparisons/   The comic book history of the Vigilante  (Date: 26 Oct 2016) The article focuses on the Adrian Chase story as that is the version currently popping up on Arrow. His origin was pretty straight forward. His role as a D.A. put him on someone's hit list and his family got killed because of it. By the second issue of the series, Chase was already questioning his choice of taking the law into his own hands. The character was a unique look into the side of vigilantism that doesn't normally get addressed in comics. We see the physical and legal ramifications and even some of the aspects of getting lost in the battle.   Link:http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/10/26/comic-book-history-vigilante/   Arrow: Is Adrian Chase the Vigilante already? Actor Jose Segarra weighs in (Date: 26 Oct 2016) In the season 5 premiere of Arrow, Felicity Smoak showed Oliver Queen an image of somebody wearing ski goggles. Supposedly a police artist's sketch of an anonymous vigilante working in Star City, Team Arrow haven't mentioned him again since -- although longtime comic book readers recognized him. The image was that of Adrian Chase -- better known as Vigilante. So if tonight is Vigilante's genesis, what's the deal with that police sketch? We asked Josh Segarra, who plays Chase, to clarify. "That's what I think is going to be interesting, is what parts of the comic are we going to get to put on the show?" He responded when ComicBook.com asked him about the police sketch. "I know the answer to that but the audience don't. But that's what been great is that we're trying to keep it as much as we can in that world, but also keep it exciting because I don't want any plot twists to be a thing where people are expecting something and don't get them.So I'm hoping that we get the right pieces along the way. So now I'm getting to tell that backstory and we get to tell the biggest pieces and get to show him becoming who he is before episode 7." Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/27/arrow-is-adrian-chase-the-vigilante-already-actor-josh-segarra-w/   How Deadshot's Surprise Cameo Came to Be (Date: 20 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim was asked how the surprise came to be and it's actually a pretty simple story.  “It's always a case-by-case thing. In this case, it was really simple. I went to the writers' room, this was a pitch on the table, I shot an email off to [DC Comics CCO] Geoff Johns, I got a response back, and Deadshot's in the episode.” Link:https://www.cinemablend.com/television/1568149/how-arrows-surprise-suicide-squad-cameo-came-to-be People's Choice awards (Date: xx month year) Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, and Legends are on the list for best Sci-Fi/Fantasy show; Stephen Amell is up for Sci-Fi/Fantasy actor and social media star. Link:http://www.peopleschoice.com/pca/     DC TV NEWS Flash, Supergirl join team Arrow in CW crossover pic (Date: 24 Oct 2016) A photo posted by “Arrow” actor Rick Gonzalez teased the team-up, which fans will see hit their TV sets in a month's time. The image shows “Arrow” characters Ragman (Joe Dinicol), Mister Terrific (Echo Kellum) and Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) standing alongside other series' leads the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) as well as director James Bamford. This year's crossover between CW's DC shows will begin in “Supergirl” on November 28 and continue through the week's DC shows, including “Flash” on November 29, “Arrow” on November 30 and “Legends of Tomorrow” on December 1. Amertek Industries is a weapons manufacturer, tech conglomerate and defense contractor arguably best known for their biggest gun (literally and figuratively), the "Toastmaster" BG-80. Designed by John Henry Irons, their brutality turned him off of weapons-making and he left Amertek to go into hiding, taking on the name Henry Johnson. The guns would later make their way into the hands of street gangs in Metropolis and Washington, DC. Seeing his weapons on the streets, coupled with the then-recent death of his idol Superman, led Irons to take on the armored superhero identity of Steel. Ragman - In the show, Ragman's family was killed when the missile hit Havenrock. In the comics, Ragman is a Gotham-based vigilante who wears the mystical Suit of Souls, from which his powers come. Created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert, Ragman has a bit of a Ghost Rider thing going on, with the costume allowing him to take the souls of the guilty -- except that in the case of Ragman, he can summon their abilities later in battle. By being used in this way, the evil can actually earn redemption and passage to Heaven.   ARROW NEWS:   Supergirl and Arrow Boss Says Ollie and Kara won't get along (Date: 11 Oct 2016) As per Andrew Kreisberg regarding the crossover “Part of Oliver's [Stephen Amell] journey in those episodes is he's kind of hit his breaking point for things he's willing to accept. He's had Mirakuru soldiers, the Lazarus Pit, magic, and Damien Darhk, but flying aliens who can incinerate you with their eyes is one beyond the pale for him. He's keeping his distance, which is a very Oliver thing to do. Even Kara comments, ‘Does he not like me?' Barry's like, ‘No, that's kind of how he treats everybody.' Link: http://screencrush.com/supergirl-arrow-crossover-oliver-reaction/ Guillermo del Toro has an open invite to direct Arrow (Date: 8 Oct 2016) del Toro teamed up with Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim for Trollhunters, a new animated series.  Guggenheim was asked about NYCC if del Toro might appear to do an episode of Arrow.   "I'd be lying if I said I never broached the topic with him," Guggenheim says. "He's so busy and he is filming right now actually up in Toronto." "He's got a standing invitation," Guggenheim concludes.             Link: http://comicbook.com/2016/10/08/guillermo-del-toro-has-a-standing-invitation-to-arrow/ Arrow's Wild Dog to feature in DC/CW's Invasion crossover  (Date:11 Oct 2016) Rick Gonzales, who plays Wild Dog, tweeted out a picture of his mask with the Flash's mask. It was later confirmed that Wild Dog will be part of the crossover event. The season started off with a dip in ratings, as the premiere episode averaged a 1.2 in the demographic and drew in 3.1 million viewers, which was down from 3.6 million in its season 2 premier Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/10/12/the-flashs-paradox-episode-hits-a-series-low/ Supergirl premier rockets CW ratings to 8-year high  (Date: 11  Oct 2016) Supergirl premiere got 3 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 demo rating. This episode is the most-watched Monday night show on the CW since a 2008 episode of “Gossip Girl.” On CBS, the season 1 finale drew in 6.1 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-premiere-rockets-cw-ratings-to-8-year-high/               Arrow Boss Teases Most Ambitious Crossover yet (Date: 13 Oct 2016) The arrival of the Dominators will force the Arrowverse's superheroes to team up for what Guggenheim calls their “most ambitious” crossover yet. “This year,” Guggenheim continues, “we're doing by far the most ambitious crossover we've ever done. It's basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it's crossing over all four shows. It's telling one big epic movie of a story. It's not setting up any other spin-offs, it's just big, bombastic, huge action. There's also some really poignant character moments. There's a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover. It's by far the most ambitious thing we've ever attempted. I want to say it's by far one of the most ambitious things anyone in network television has ever attempted. It's completely insane.” Link:http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/13/arrow-flash-supergirl-legends-crossover-spoilers   Supergirl will not Move into the Flarrow ‘verse (Date: 8 Oct 2016) Fans had speculated and hoped that a move to the CW might unify Supergirl with the Flarrow universe during the upcoming crossover.  Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg explain how the jump will work saying "Not for her entire world, but Kara will be traveling from her dimension to our dimension, “our” being the world that The Flash, Arrow, and Legends lives in." Link: http://comicbook.com/2016/10/08/supergirl-will-not-be-moved-into-flash-arrow-and-legends-dimensi/ James Olson Becomes Guardian on Supergirl (Date: 12 Oct 2016) James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) is about to make the move from faithful sidekick to kickass masked vigilante later this season on The CW'sSupergirl. Via Andrew Kresberg: “James has a pretty big turn coming up. These next few episodes are going to make him realize that being a photographer… is not enough for him, so he's going to go on a pretty exciting career trajectory that we're really pumped by. James is going to decide that he can no longer sit back and be a sidekick, so he's going to decide to become a vigilante and he's going to become Guardian — complete with the shield — which is going to cause a massive problem in his relationship with Kara [Melissa Benoist], because he has decided not to tell her. Now there's this new masked vigilante, and she has her own feelings about vigilantes, and it becomes a push and pull about who gets to decide who gets to be a hero? He's recruited Winn [Jeremy Jordan] to help him, Winn is his man in the van, so the two of them are doing this together. Winn and James together is comedy gold. Watching Winn, as he takes his job at the DEO, but then he's lying to everybody about how he's spending his nights, because he's going out with James, and how he walks in exhausted or walks in with a black eye and says he walked into a door, is the fun excitement of building these first 10 episodes.” Link: http://www.blastr.com/2016-10-12/james-olsen-become-dc-comics-vigilante-guardian-cws-supergirl Did Flashpoint create a future Legends of Tomorrow superhero? (Date: 13 Oct 2016) While Barry visited Felciity in this week's episode of The Flash, he learned that Diggle has a son now. Could this be the John Diggle, Jr. we met in the Legends episode called “Star City 2046”? 1997 was a big year for movies- Titanic, Boogie Nights, LA Confidencial, FaceOff, Jackie Brown- heck, even Con Air- but none of them come close (and for good reason) to STEEL, staring Shaquille O'Neal.  A long time, vocal fan of Superman, Shaq wanted more than anything to play John Henry Irons- the man who would become the hero known as Steel and in 1997- he got his chance.  Shaq showed us that he could pull off playing a genie in Kazaam but did he have what it takes to be amongst the legendary DC Superheroes? Happy Day After Halloween, dear listeners, and thanks for downloading another episode of Just One of the Guys, the full size Snickers Bar of podcasts...do Halloween candy metaphors work in this medium? Probably not. No matter, we have a particular treat (Get it? Of course you do...) for you this time out with a Beau Smith penned issue of Guy Gardner! In Showcase '96, the manliest man in comicdom weaves a two-fisted, bare knuckled brawl into a tale starring Guy and John Henry Irons, better known as Steel, beating on Sledge and Guy's clone Joe. It's just what you would expect from the 90's era of Guy. And over in Green Lantern, Kyle gets a new roommate in the form of Alan Scott offspring and boob window promoter, Jade. He also gets a visit from overly protective brother Obsidion who catches Kyle admiring Jade's lacey undergarments. It's like Three's Company with Superpowers, and the beginning of the end of the relationship between Donna and Kyle...which sucks. But you get a cheesecake shot of Jade in the shower, so there's that. So go grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and get to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks!
