That song reminds me of that special time with that special person. Music often takes us back to a moment of our life that we love to revisit. Jovial Jay and Shua share some of their favorite albums and why they love them on Enjoy Stuff.  Wipe off that vinyl and sharpen that needle because it's time to spin some tunes. Let's check out some of our favorite albums.    News Steve Martin Writes the Written Word Collected Written Works by Steve Martin (thanks to Jonathan) A new Kong x Godzilla Ride has been announced for a theme park far, far away.  Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra have a new album and it's pretty jazzy' RIP Norm…or is it Fat Sam… or maybe just the legendary George Wendt     Check out our TeePublic store for some enjoyable swag and all the latest fashion trends What we're Enjoying Shua has been revisiting the funny pages with the complete collection of Berke Breathed's Bloom County. This classic comic strip was a staple of the 80's and spotlighted important political and social issues while selling stuffed penguins. Jay joined in the fun of so many Star Wars fans when he experienced Andor season 2. The storytelling is award-worthy, the performances were sensational, and it will go down as one of the best Star Wars tales of all time. And of course you should follow it up with Andor season three, also known as Rogue One.      Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay is filled with Dredd. Judge Dredd that is. The 2012 film starring Karl Urban is pretty true to the original and less campy than it's 90s counterpart. Read his article on RetroZap.com. And make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. Plus, you can tune in to SHIELD: Case Files where Jay and Shua talk about great stuff in the MCU. Enjoy Music!  Doctor Oliver Sacks calls the psychological connection between the music and the brain “Musicophilia”. We call it a lot of fun. When you experience music at important times in your life, it tends to stick with you. And when you want to have some of those feelings again, all you need to do is put that album on again. Music is an important part of Jay's and Shua's life, and so many great memories are tied to tunes. Let's take a look at what they are and why they like them so much.    And make sure to like and subscribe to Chris Collects Stuff on YouTube What albums bring up good memories for you? It keeps you guessing as you figure out who the real villain actually is.      Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay reviews the 2011 thriller The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. Shua revisited the 1979 new beginning for a franchise. Star Trek - The Motion Picture may not be the best Trek film, but it has it's merits, and it kept the universe alive.    Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay reluctantly added the 2007 adaptation of the much loved 80s cartoon Transformers. This Michael Bay film was definitely a spectacle, but could it live up with our expectations? It depends who you ask, but either way, Jay breaks it down and gives his analysis on Sci-Fi Saturdays. He teamed up for the fourth time with Carl Reiner for the “body swap” comedy All of Me with Lily Tomlin. She plays Edwina Cutwater, a very rich woman who is about to die. Instead of coming to terms with it, she has hired a Swami to put her soul into Terry Hoskins, the daughter of Edwina's stable master Fred. But in a freak accident, she gets put in Steve Martin's Roger Cobb instead. Now he has to find the Swami to fix it all. It was a fun concept and holds up today. It's her passion project about the magic world and how a ‘chosen one' didn't fulfill the prophecy of defeating evil, and is now living in shame. Comedy ensues with a star-studded cast.    Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay got crazy with a wild Godzilla movie that celebrated the 5oth anniversary of the king of the monsters. If you listen to the audiobook, you can enjoy Brooks's still hysterical delivery of the story of his life and career.    Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay revisits the 2004 Will Smith futuristic vision I, Robot. Based on a series of stories by Isaac Asimov, it tells the story of a murder committed by a robotic personal assistant in a future that seems a lot closer today than it did in ‘04. It's a period piece taking place in the 1700's and it features Nell Jackson, who tries to do good by using some mysterious super powers. Jay found a different kind of team-up/crossover movie which may be considered a B movie (or maybe C-) It's called Monster Mash but it's not about a dance or breakfast cereal. Just imagine if monsters teamed up to fight against Dr. Frankenstein. It's another example of crazy fun.     Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay tries to remember an article that may have been erased from his memory. It was all about the 2004 movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It seems like a great idea to erase bad memories from your mind, but it may cause more problems than it's worth. This movie really makes you think about your life and your decisions. Check it out today!  Make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. He agrees. It is a funny (and raunchy) story of a boy and his bear. But Seth Macfarlane has given it a heart that really makes you think and care. Shua made his way to the movie theater and saw Jeffrey Wright's newest film American Fiction. This story, about an author who is disgruntled about the stereotypes of blacks that are portrayed in modern literature.    Sci-Fi Saturdays This week Sci-Fi Saturdays shows you some Signs. M. Night Shyamalan's 2002 alien thriller isn't a Dead End. The plot seems to be going straight and then takes a Right Turn only and you have to Yield to suspense. Shyamalan's Uneven Road of movies shouldn't Stop you from revisiting Signs. Check it out on Sci-Fi Saturdays. He has also been updating locations from Marvel TV and movies, including Echo, the Agents of SHIELD, and Agent Carter series. Play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. Originally intended to sell newspapers, their popularity soared and before too long there were dozens of artists making different varieties of comics. As they evolved we got comics that were silly, timely, political, and Pulitzer Prize winners.    Classic strips from the 50s, like Peanuts, Marmaduke, Dennis the Menace, and more are still published today, either in reruns (not Linus's brother) or drawn by a new artist.    As the 60s and 70s brought change to the world, the comic pages started reflecting it as well. Timely topics were sometimes presented next to our Beetle Bailey. Pulitzer Prize winning Doonesbury by Gary Trudeau proved that the comics could be important. Spider-Man and Star Wars brought other formats of our entertainment to the comics pages.    And then we got a series of mega stars that blew up the popularity of that beloved illustrated section of the newspaper. Garfield, The Far Side, Bloom County, and Calvin and Hobbes became just a handful of reasons people would pick up the comics in the first place.    How well do you know your comics? Let's play a game to see if you remember the punch line from the very first published strip from a few classics.    Now that newspapers are going the way of the Dodo, what does the future hold for our beloved strip format? We're not sure, but we will continue to start the day with a laugh.   Did you grow up reading comics? What were some of your favorites (or ones you avoided)? In 1933 a 13 year old Ray Harryhausen saw the movie King Kong and it forever changed the way we would experience movies. It inspired him to experiment in techniques of stop motion animation that he would continually improve throughout his entire career.    His impressive resume includes classics like Mysterious Island, Jason and the Argonauts, and of course Clash of the Titans. Many of his movies aren't even remembered for who starred in or directed them, but for Ray's special effects. His patented Dynamation technique of incorporating his stop motion creatures enhanced all these movies in a way that made you feel like you were part of the dream.    Countless creators were inspired by Ray's effects, such as Steven Spielberg, Terry Gilliam, Peter Jackson, Tim Burton, and of course the man who carried the mantle, visual effects legend Phil Tippett. Their movies continued to evolve Ray's techniques including how CGI even works today. We are all indebted to Mr. Harryhausen and are grateful for his work.  Which of Ray Harryhausen's works do you like? Have you ever made a stop motion movie?
